“If n.esta was a man, yall would love her.” Sweetie, n.esta being a woman is what’s allowing her grace and forgiveness with so many people. If feyre had an older brother slut shaming her and threatening to slit her throat and sitting on his useless ass while she was out hunting and then he degraded her while taking her food and money, he would be the most hated person in the fandom. Trust me, n.etsa being a woman and an “older sister” is what’s saving her and making her supposedly relatable to a majority female audience

"People who hate Nesta never struggled with their mental health"
Or maybe, think about it, maybe people who hate Nesta dealt with their own Nestas in their life

Nesta:
*purposefully harms Feyre for no reason in every book and emotionally abuses her for years*
Nesta Stan’s:
“she’s traumatized, this is normal sibling behavior”
Also Nesta Stan’s when Feyre calls Nesta out on her bullshit once and tries to help her:
“OH MY GOD FEYRE AND RHYS ARE ABUSING NESTA AND CONTROLLING HER-”

Feyre being hated for speaking on her familial trauma/abuse to the Inner Circle will always be insane to me.
“She painted them out to be bad people and her the poor little victim” No they painted themselves out to be bad people and all she did was express how their actions hurt her. For a series that’s heavily focused on trauma and healing, I can’t believe people are so upset because a female character spoke on her own experiences.
Feyre didn’t paint herself out to be a victim. She simply was one. You can’t look at that Cabin situation and boldly say that Feyre was not a victim.

Reminder that none of the Archeron sisters can cook and Elain canonically didn’t start learning until acofas. Saying Elain or Nesta must’ve been cooking as a way to prove that it wasn’t just Feyre doing everything isn’t the gotcha moment some people think it is, because those two can’t cook either. Not to mention they didn’t have money for ingredients and when Feyre did bring in meat that’s all they ate.
Making arguments saying we and Feyre don’t value feminine work just because it’s not discussed by the author who cleaned their ramshackle, half broken cottage, is a fallacy. Not to mention, the Archeron’s were so poor that there wasn’t any room for this so called feminine work to be done. They were so deep in poverty the only thing that genuinely mattered was if they weren’t going to starve to death. Nesta and Elain canonically did nothing to keep the family alive.
Argue about the hypothetical things they may or may not have cleaned but when you find evidence of them actually doing something to support the family’s livelihood, come find me.

It never makes sense to me when people claim Elain is a worse person than Nesta.
Nesta is deliberately cruel to EVERYONE.
Elain is just passive.
I notice a lot of Nesta fans mistake their interest in her character as a definitive fact that she's better than everyone around her.

HOFAS SPOILERS BELOW …BUT PLEASE EXPLAIN THE NESTA WORSHIP CAUSE GIRL??
Tumblr media
….why are we defending Nesta?? And why was it unreasonable for Rhys to be pissed at Nesta in HOFAS..?!?
Regardless of it working or not, she endangered their entire world and gambled everyone’s lives to help someone that only showed them multiple times that they shouldn’t trust her. Giving up the mask to someone from another world that is full of their enemies was borderline treason….she deserved to get shit for that because wtfffffff 😒 she’s lucky it happened to work out cause what would she have done if Bryce failed??

People saying that Feyre gained some rose-coloured glasses and ignored Rhys’ faults after she accepted the bond…are we reading the same books? Because throughout the series, and even after she accepted the bond, she scolds him or calls him out on his crap when he messes up. Always. We even see this in acosf, even though the story is no longer being told from their perspective.
You just don’t like the fact that Rhys isn’t evil like you want him to be so bad. Even Ne.sta herself admits that Rhys is a good person despite all her hatred towards him soooo…🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh, are we still playing the “sweet wittle princess Nesta got yelled at by the big bad bat king Rhys” game?
Nesta wasn’t the villain there but she absolutely deserved Rhys anger. Ember was also soooo far out of line. Nesta made a call that endangered her loved ones and court. Yes, it worked out but she had no way of knowing that just because she and Az traveled with Bryce for a few days.
Rhys had every right to react the way he did.
Let’s be real here: if it had been Elain everyone would be shitting all over her for doing it. But because it’s “self insert” Nesta now her stans want to act like Rhys is this evil bastard. Honestly Rhys is a helluva lot better than me because I would have dumped Ember off the highest balcony at the House of Wind.
Then again what do I know? Apparently I’m “just a Rhys stan who defends his every action blindly” according to every Nesta stan I come across when they find out I hate her character, lmao 🤷‍♀️

Let me just say, Rhysand has more control then me. If I had the power to mist people and had to be around someone as annoying as Nesta I sure as hell would have misted her by now.

UNPOPULAR OPINION
You can’t enjoy and praise the benefits of Feyre getting n.esta out of the apartment while also shaming her for getting her out. You can’t shame her decisions without also addressing the multitude of other things Feyre did to help during acofas. You can’t suggest that Feyre was wrong without realistically suggesting anything else that would’ve worked for n.esta. You can’t shame Feyre for doing something but also saying that she didn’t do anything

Fellas is it my duty to defend my garbage heap of a sister if she, who selfishly leeched off of me for years & now has a mansion because of me, gets called out for telling me to get out of that same house, poking my changed eating habits due to having turned and dismissing my trauma right after I tell her how I was tortured & almost killed?

“As if things had been so miserable with the Archeron family that Feyre had needed to find another one.”
That just goes to show Nesta didn’t even know Feyre was miserable.
That tells you all you really need to know about her.
All she was thinking about was herself.
And never about how her actions would impact her little sister.

Dude I absolutely cannot fucking stand Nesta, she is absolutely unbearable. No hate to people who like her, she just… she’s so abrasive and unpleasant and she makes her own pain everyone else’s problem. Like girl your pain is important but when you get a stab wound you don’t start stabbing the medical staff there to help you, shut the fuck up

“Feyre already forgave her sisters so we should all just move on from how they treated her” Feyre forgives, I don’t. And neither does Rhys.
