Good Morning! Super excited for these next set of eps to review.

We’ve reached the iconic and pivotal DOD eps. I’m nervously excited to review these. I want to do them justice. They are momentous for not just Chenford but the entire series. Rosalind Dyer is one of my fav recurring baddies. I loved Annie from Castle as well. Was psyched she would be joining The Rookie. This was a rare one where I got to use all the gifs I wanted to. Yay. Kid in a Chenford candy store haha Thank you to all the wonderful gif makers out there. You are the real MVP's. Let’s get this started :)

2x10 The Dark Side

We start with Lucy and the guys out for a post work drink. Armstrong is there as well. They’re talking about Jackson dating a celebrity. Asking how that is? Lucy says they’re happy if he’s happy. Nick calls her bluff and says ‘Liar.’ LMAO Lucy cracks and says men suck ha They sure can. That the single men in LA suck. That whenever they find out she’s a cop they freak out. (To touch on not dating a cop bit. It is only a mistake when it’s not Tim. Let’s be real.) Especially while she's still a rookie just not a good idea (cough Nolan cough) He was never a good decision though....not even a little bit. I'll die on that hill haha

Armstrong joins the convo and comes in with some solid advice. ‘Those aren’t men they’re boys. Real men are not afraid of a strong woman.’ Your real man just isn’t ready yet my dear. Nor are you. I really love this scene though. I enjoyed Nick a lot as a character. Poor Lucy she goes on her 'Sister Officer Lucy Chen' rant ha Classic. Oh the irony of this convo. In S5 she definitely isn't in a nunnery anymore heh. That is quite awhile away from this point though. Have to note how pretty she looks in this scene. Her outfit is simple but she looks stunning.

Lucy leaves the table to get another round. That’s when Lucy runs into Caleb….really unfortunate that’s his name. That’s my BIL's name haha He seems normal enough with his flirting with Lucy. Both of them being ignored for another drink by the bartender. He's making her laugh and appearing nice and kind. Ugh run Lucy run…Their moment gets interrupted by Lucy noticing a guy stealing tips. She walks away from the convo and apologizes. End ups arresting the thief. The way she takes him down is bad ass I have to say. (Tim would be proud) Says 'Surprise I’m a cop’ haha

Roll call comes around and they find out about Rosalind Dyer. A rare unicorn in their world. A female serial killer. She’s agreed to show them the 3 bodies that were never found. In exchange she gets life with no parole instead of the death penalty. Everyone’s day is now centered around this. Tim and Lucy discuss her past murders. Lucy telling Tim she was in college when they found the first victims.

That it was all anyone could talk about, wondering how a woman could be so barbaric? Tim shares his own story about it. How he worked a scene for the 4th victim. That he was advised not to look at the body. How he wish he hadn’t… The hindsight of watching this scene unfold right before they run into Caleb. It’s bone chilling to think about. Their convo being framed around this before he shows up.

Caleb shows up and Tim is immediately suspicious and does not like this guy. His face has me rolling the entire time. Gives Caleb a hard time about the word 'Perp'. His facial expressions I can not LOL Now part of this reaction is his cop gut. I truly believe that. Not trusting whoever this guy is for Lucy. His default is suspicion. The fierce protector coming out to play in this scene.

I think the rest of his reaction is him just not liking this guy being interested in Lucy. Jealously thy name is Timothy Bradford. Its seeping out of him and he can't stop himself. He's completely forgotten he's dating one of her closest friends in this moment. Written all over his face how territorial he’s being right now. I always love me some protective/jealous Tim. This scene and honestly this entire episode is full of that.

Lucy’s face is screaming ‘chill out’ the entire interaction. She's basically scolding him with her eyes above. They have a mini silent conversation with their eyes before the scene continues. If that isn't the most married look they've had so far. I love it so much. He definitely looks reprimanded in that second gif above. Tim is as transparent as person can be in this scene. Not even trying to hide it a little bit. Caleb has shown up and Tim's guard and protective nature are out in full force. Doesn't like this guy just showing up and sniffing around at all.

Caleb is clearly nervous around Tim (as he should be..) It's too funny he keeps trying regardless to talk to Lucy. Tim deftly snags the paper out of the air. She didn't have a chance of grabbing it. Caleb has to sense how much Tim doesn't want him here. He could not be less welcoming of this man. Tim reads the paper and he asks if Caleb has a last name LOL He says Wright. The irony of that last name...

I doubt our boy even knows why he’s reacting this way to Caleb. Only that he is and very strongly at that. All his feelings when it comes to Lucy are muddled and confusing for him. Yet he acts on them anyway. From the moment this guy showed up the green eyed monster was present. Tim continues to grill him. He asks what he does for a living? Says if it’s a screenwriter he’s going in a cell. He really hates screenwriters haha A theme through out the show for him.

Eric’s facial expressions during this entire scene truly is perfection. Look at the way he looks at Caleb as he leaves. If looks could kill he would be a dead man. Also you can see the mask on Caleb drop when he turns away from them (shudder). The immense distrust written all over Tim's rigid body language. You'd have to be blind not to see it. Both of their faces above are a summary of the entire scene. Lucy is happy to have caught the eye of a 'decent' guy. Tim doesn't trust this guy as far as he can throw him.

Tim doesn’t even think he’s done anything wrong till he turns around and sees her face. Kudos to Melissa for the great reaction. He says 'What?' All innocent like he didn't just drag that guy through the mud. Treat him like a criminal they deal with on the daily. She is so affronted and honestly confused as hell with his reaction. Her face basically saying 'What the hell was that?'

From the moment Caleb shows up to the moment he leaves Tim is NOT pleased with his presence. Lucy is truly confused as to why he is acting this way. She can’t put together why he was trying to kill that entire interaction. We all know Lucy included (deep down) this was jealously thorough and through. But she chalks it up to him being stressed about how crazy everything is right now. Sure that’s it Lucy…She demands the paper back with just her face and outreached hand. Tim is shocked she wants the number of this doofus. He relents and unwillingly hands it back to her. Almost rolling his eyes as he does so.

They’re driving in a caravan to the first burial site. Lucy is looking at Calebs online profile in the car. Tim snaps at her to focus. That this is going to be most dangerous day she’s ever going to spend on the job. Oh the weight of that comment when you know these eps….They both have no idea how true that’s going to be. Might seem like he’s mad when really he’s protecting her by getting her to focus. It’s his way of doing it. I also think it's a little frustration bleeding over from the whole Caleb thing. Not that he's going to put that together right now. Hell doesn't even realize how territorial and jealous he just was.

We rejoin Tim and Lucy once they arrive at the first spot. They're talking about Rosalind during this 'Hike' to find the remaining bodies. Tim asks if she’s less scary in the light of day? Lucy tells him no…but mentions how smart she must be. To have gotten away with this for so long undetected. Lucy smartly mentions there’s a play here they’re not seeing.

Tim tells her it’s just to jerk them around. Oh my love it is far more than that. Lucy is so sharp to observe this hike has to be more than just her deal. She is proven right when they find a fresher body in one of the grave sites with the old one. It’s obvious she has a partner on the outside they just don’t know who…

Lucy is looking at Caleb’s “profile” again. Watching a video of him with a puppy. Jealous/Protective Tim makes his next appearance. Could not be more obvious if he tried. Not a fan of her being enamored by this guy. He makes a snide remark saying I bet that’s not even his puppy. It’s scary how spot on he was with Caleb the entire time. It’s mainly from jealously and being protective of her, but it’s frightening how dead on his cop gut was. He turned out to right about everything with him.

Lucy naturally gives him push back and says she just wants to enjoy a cute puppy. That it’s been an awful day. Can't she just do that? Jealous Tim won't agree with her. So he is a little shit and says 'This your first decomp right? ' Watching her face go from happy to grossed out LOL Oh Tim. He knows how bad this smell is going to be for her and is enjoying it haha The way she follows after him is too funny. Melissa is also amazing at expressing so much as well.

The eerie part of this scene is it’s them being the ones to discover the DOD tattoo… There are so many forewarnings in this episode for her. For them. Literally smacking us in the face with them. That could’ve been her if things had gone wrong... Ugh my heart. They find out the newer victim was suffocated…What an awful way to die. I’m asthmatic and it gives me a pre-asthma attack just thinking about it.

A light hearted part of this scene is once again the lack of personal space. Ah personal space. They don't know her and never will. We're all ok with this notion. Nolan ends up getting Rosalind to lead them to the second site. They find a new body in it with a DOD Tattoo. The freshest one yet. They realize it’s every three months. That 12/09/19 is the the next DOD. John notes it’s 12/08 they have a day to find the next victim.

Tim and Lucy join Armstrong at the jail to search Rosalind cell once again. Trying to find some connection. A way her and this person have been communicating. Nick asks where her books are and they say they sent them back. He asks for every book she's read in the last 6 months.

They’re searching all the books and of course Lucy is the one to crack the code. I love it. Finds something in the binding. Its a coded piece of paper. She figures out the cypher fairly quickly. You know Tim loves how damn smart she is. He’s impressed. She figures out a name from the code. My girl. Bryan Coleman. Funny that doesn’t sound like Caleb Wright….

Harper and Nolan end up saving the next girl. They find out he’s been using the old abandoned zoo as his staging ground. What kills me is them saving her condemns Lucy. They stopped him from scratching that sick itch. Grey tells them all to go home and rest. Lucy spins around and tells Tim she’s just going to go home and crash.

Tim tells her that’s a mistake and gives her the advice that will haunt him in the next episode. Hell for quite awhile if I’m being honest. He will carry this moment with him for a long time. Says after a hardcore assignment she needs to blow off some steam. Find a way to decompress. If she doesn’t she’ll never get any sleep.

Lucy is super cute asking if he's really telling her to go get a drink instead? He tells her yes. Preferably a strong one even with another human being. We all know who that human being is going to be….Side note I adore the fact that he always opens the door for her. Doesn't even realize he's doing that. Just does it out of habit. Her real man standing right in front of her but it is far too early for that hehe

Literally makes me sick to watch her scene with Caleb. My skin crawls knowing where it’s headed. He took advantage of Lucy with her guard down. Her cop eyes we're retired for the night. Just trying to decompress. We go back to the station where Grey tells John and Nick they found a body at the old zoo. Bryan Coleman. Which can only mean one thing as we go back to Lucy. That Caleb is the apprentice….

She goes from giggly and relaxed to sheer terror in a matter of moments. He drugged her and Lucy is slowly realizing the situation she is now in. He also snags her phone before she can use it. Sadly she is over powered easily due the drug he gave her. Then sticks her in the trunk of his car. The ep ends there.

It’s a crazy stressful two-parter. So damn good though. I remember when this first premiered how hard it was to wait for the next episode. I’m pre emotional just thinking about analyzing the next episode. Can’t wait to do it though.

Side Notes-Non Chenford

Wopez good scenes not many but really good. Wes clearing not handling his post traumatic stress well. Mixing his prescription with alcohol. Angela coming home asking if he was trying to kill himself. He says I don’t know… Not a great answer bud.

The whole Rosalind SL. It’s so dark but so good. Getting a deeper look into Nick and seeing some chinks in his armor. What he sacrificed to catch her. It’s very good. I enjoyed his character a lot and getting more depth with him as well.

Thank you as always to those that like/comment/reblog these reviews. It’s means the world to me. I love doing these and they take time to assemble. But they’re so worth doing to enjoy this rewatch together. I’m also enjoying the hell out of analyzing these eps and our beloved couple. I’ll see you all in 2x11 :)

Why I don’t - i don't have much i dislike about her but I hate how most of this fandom watered her down to a super tough no-nonsense know-it-all when she's literally such a sweetheart.

My Style Analysis: Cyclical Iconic Fashion and a Missed Prom

Anyone notice something about Devi's prom dress? Something retro?

The chiffon, long flowing dress, the neckline, the ruffles, the florals and pinks feel very retro. Like very 1970s (look I know per ShopYourTV that it's a recent find from Nordstrom's) maybe 70s does 30s...

In fact Devi's dress slightly reminded me of Marge Simpson's prom dress in "The Way We Was" which was set in 1974, 49 years before Nalini almost had a heart attack seeing her daughter and Ben in bed together (albeit with clothes on). It's all there: the pink, the apparently lightweight fabric (chiffon or rayon or polyester or a combination, that was a staple of the era), the ruffles around the neck. Marge's pink dress (surely from Gunne Sax, which was fondly remembered by Boomers and Gen Xers alike) and Homer's baby blue tuxedo were so iconic that they were made into figurines.

In fact Devi's dress falls into good company with some other examples I listed in a old post on Tumblr about this frilly, utterly feminine aesthetic in fact I want to show another Mad Men example and one from the 1930s period piece The Group (1966).

Every outfit looks so floaty here and these were promos for episodes set in 1970, thankfully our girls up there have much happier endings than the former Mrs. Drapers.

Here is your 1930s example with The Group, which focuses on graduates of a Seven Sisters college as they navigate adult life in Depression era America and the patriarchy (it's rough as hell). The brunette in black is future Lucille Bluth, the late Jessica Walter. Bonum est mulier.

Eleanor's look sort of reminds me of: Cher, Selena, and Liz Taylor. All very iconic women who followed their passions boldly and became icons without blindly following trends set for either fashion or for their gender.

As for Fabi? Well the tuxedo is pure androgyny. Calling to the OG ladies in a suit, Bessie Smith (EDIT: Gladys Bentley) and Marlene Dietrich and Annie Lennox

All these women flouted restrictions regarding gender expression admidst the jeers of conservatives, pearl-clutchers, white supremacists, Jim Crow, fatphobia, and one even told Hitler to go fuck himself (okay maybe not those words but you get the gist).

The red may be a call back to predominantly African-American men in the media donning a red suit, as noted in u/eve_salmon's "A Cinematic Guide to The Weekend Pt. 3", Rat Pack member Sammy Davis Jr. (known for a flashy yet very traditionally masculine sense of style) donned a red suit for the film Poor Devil, whom like Fabi, was Black and queer in an era that was even more racist and queerphobic than the present. We also see Richard Pryor (comedian for those not in the know) donning a red suit along with Joe Pesci in Goodfellas and Casino. The red is likely a sign of pure confidence and defiance, keep in mind that Pesci's characters and Pryor (as well as Davis) grew up in eras where looking a white person in the eye can get a Black person made past tense to use a TikTok phrase and where Italian Americans were still looked down upon, so dressing well and in a manner that commands attention was a act of resistance.

Both examples of Marginalized Men in Red Suits and Gender-Bending Women Looking Sharp-Dressed, speaks well to Fabiola's own development as a character and taking ownership of her identity in a world that tells you to be a laundry list of things to be acceptable (be girly, be outgoing, be into pop culture, be straight, listen to your parents, focus on what boys like, fade into the background, wear uncomfy formalwear that ain't you) and points for the series highlighting HBCUs as up there with the Ivies; where the Ivies represent mainstream power, the HBCUs represent how a community managed to carve their own space to let it's members thrive and accomplish more (also while Princeton waited until 1969 and Columbia until 1983 to accept women, Howard been doing that since it's founding!), what better place for Fabiola whose journey is about owning her sense of self?

What can Iconic Lady Joan Holloway say, well I can think of her Bonwit Teller shopping spree where she decides what to take with her fabulous black dress with ostritch feather cuffs: "I'll take the boots, the tan heels, the chiffon (in a cooing voice), the red (even more cooing), and this (to her flamboyant dress)", in other words, she approves.

My god yes. What's your favorite paintball episode?

OKAY SO!! my fave out of all of them has to be a fist full of paintballs because i LOVE the spaghetti western homage it works so well, especially with the added emotional drama of the vote to kick peirce out (also how each study group member has their own card introduction which corrosponded with their vote, i thought that was really clever) and the outfits are so freakin cool, also just annie in general that episode was AMAZING (i also loved jeff's inner turmoil about maybe not being the most attractive guy on campus. shock horror LMAO)

idk if this is an unpopular opinion or not but i actually also really love the S6 paintball episode modern espionage, i thought turning paintball into a spy/thriller/ james bond type reference was a really clever way of mixing it up, and annie and abed were kind iconic in that episode

S4 E3 - Makeover

THE GOOD

- Brittany forgetting she dated Artie is so funny

- Will’s bad set list ideas are incredible

wtf is a salute to autumn

- Isabelle’s imposter syndrome is a mood

- also on the topic of Isabelle, i love her

Sara Jessica Parker is such a fun addition to the series

- Sam just changed the game for Blaine

losing the bow tie was so needed (i was literally complaining about this at the beginning of the episode so i’m so happy)

- i want more Stoner Brett

i feel like we would get along

- Sam stripping at the presidential debate so funny

- actually the whole debate scene is perfect

- the timing of the “Becky, can i get a xylophone flourish” joke was so good

THE BAD

- Blaine needs to lose the bow tie

his outfits wouldn’t be so bad without it, but it just makes him look so weird. idk why this teenage boy is dressing business casual at school everyday

- the fatphobia in this season is rough

i don’t know if i didn’t notice it before or if it is actually much worse, but it’s really bad

- the off your meds discussion in the vogue staff meeting was really uncomfortable

i don’t like the way they are making a joke out of mental illness and the implications about medication making you less creative are incredibly harmful

- college is nothing like high school when it comes to fashion

those dancer mean girls are so unrealistic. nobody gives a fuck what you wear in college. i wear sweat pants 5 days a week and nobody bats an eye. i could wear an evening gown to class and people wouldn’t give a single fuck.

THE MUSICAL

- Everybody Wants to Rule the World (6/10)

this number is so boring. Darren’s singing is good, but it’s nothing special. i did like the scenes of him in various clubs. that was fun, but the song choice made it feel off. this number left a lot to be desired and i wasn’t a fan.

- Celebrity Skin (8/10)

i honestly love this number in a weird way. it’s very different from what they normally do on this show and it works. Heather and Chord’s vocals are great. they do a surprisingly good job. the choreography is fun and i always love when they involve the cheerios as backup dancers. their outfits are also very interesting (in a good way)

- The Way You Look Tonight/ You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile (5/10)

this number is not their best work. their voices don’t mesh well and Sara Jessica Parker’s singing is not great. the choreography is fine, but for a makeover scene, i wish there were more outfits. she spends most of the scene in this ugly black feather dress. they could have done so much more with the concept. this was such an easy concept and they failed miserably. the mash up was not my favorite. the songs didn’t work that well together and i wish they had just gone with the Annie song.

- A Change Would Do You Good (4/10)

this number sucks. the singing is fine. the choreography/blocking is cliché and stupid. Rachel and Brodie have good chemistry but this just doesn’t work even a little bit. i think the song choice is the main problem, but they also just did a bad job all around on this number

OTHER

- the hippo broach is something special

- Kurt getting an internship at vogue with that interview is wild

his answers sucked. literally never say the interviewer is your style icon wtf

- AHHHH Finn showing up at the end

YIKES (i’m kinda team Brodie though ngl)

- not making Sam bi is a CRIME

Blam forever (i do think Sam would have his bi awakening in college, but i want him and Blaine to get together so bad it’s not even funny)

I have more of the who’s-most-likely-to game, for the SNK actor Au!!! If you’re down to do it ofc! Just love reading your hcs so much!! Ok who…

Used to have a blog in their college days, where they wrote about trying to break into the acting industry. They said, “I’m just so tired but I can’t give up now. It’ll be worth it someday. I hope.” Fans somehow found the blog and someone made the sweetest fan-art using that quote, and the actor cried.

Is trained by the Red Cross and actually delivered first aid to an injured hiker when they were on holiday

When they were first cast, was met with a LOT of backlash because SNK is a completely different genre from what they were typecast as

Always cries at fan meets because they just can’t wrap their head around so many people’s lives being changed by one character

Is the only actor who takes REAL bites of the prop food whenever they do scenes involving food. No one knows how (or WHY) they do this

Always helps the props team clean up/move things, without saying anything about it

Was pregnant at some point during filming, so for about 5 episodes they were always wearing their green cloak, sitting behind bushes, or filmed from behind/up close

Did a bit of stock photo modelling as a strapped-for-cash 20-something year old (a la Simu Liu)…..and now people won’t stop asking them to autograph their Econ 101 textbooks and real estate company brochures

Went viral for wearing the most beautiful and extravagant Met Gala outfit

Literally wore their own costume (complete with screen-accurate wig and makeup) to the Met Gala and went just as viral

OK I WANTED TO WAIT UNTIL THE NEW EP WAS OUt to answer this when i was in my actor!au feels. also i rewrote my answers like 3 times cause i was thinking about them so much lmao

I think it'd be Jean honestly :(( and he'd be so surprised that he has so many supportive fans too (also considered Reiner)

omg it's definitely Moblit. he's the type of guy who just happens to be around and happens to know the most useful random things. we love that about him <3

i wanna say Sasha or Hange tbh? they'd both be in comedy shows before AoT

ERWIN. ESPECIALLY after season 3, like that speech he does during the charge? becomes SO iconic that fans will hold up boards quoting it

The obvious answer is Sasha, but you know what? Eren did too. AoT was Eren's first big role, and Sasha told him to eat the props because it looks more realistic (Jean told everybody and did not let him live it down for months)

Levi, Armin, and Mikasa help clean up the set, especially Levi. He's exceptionally strong irl so he's often seen helping people lift things and move props around. Armin likes to bring snacks and coffee too all of the makeup artists/stylists he is a sweet bean

I'm gonna say Nanaba and that's the ONLY reason she was killed off so early in the show </3

i thiiiiink I'm gonna go with Erwin lol he's the perfect guy for stock photos gfsdjhgsjdhg ALTERNATIVELY i'd say Bertholdt too

i literally can't choose one so I'm gonna list off Mikasa, Historia, Annie, and Pieck

You need time to think it over?

2𝓍0𝟧 – 𝑅ɪᴏ’𝓈 𝐿ᴏᴏᴋʙᴏᴏᴋ

Guys. There are four Rio scenes in this episode. Four! All with different looks and half of them are NEW! It’s very shocking, I know; I had to go lie down for a while when I realised. So I’ll understand if you need to take a moment before we get into it. Do what you need to do to cope.

Look #1

Remember when I was complaining that the last episode didn’t give us any proper shots so we could see wtf this man was wearing? This episode said hold my beer.

This is definitely his exact outfit from the 2x04 bathroom scene, right down to the jeans.

And this time I’m not going to mark him down for originality because 1) I think this time it was actually a deliberate repeat outfit and 2) it seems a bit unfair to mark him down for what he’s wearing in someone else’s imagination, lol.

Plus, there’s an addition to the outfit! The tyre iron is back and I am greatly pleased by it.

He’s also wearing his pinkie-finger ring and the leather arm bands. The jeans are a bit tight, but who am I to stand in the way of him showing off his assets?

I will judge him for the jacket, though, because this is where he starts a fairly upsetting trend for the season of wearing a jacket like a shirt, buttoned all the way to the top.

One episode he’s wearing a t-shirt in the middle of winter and then in another he’s so cold that his jacket must be done up to his throat. I’m not about it.

I will say that it’s a fairly nice jacket, though. (Although it does have an insane number of shiny buttons.) Plus, not only was it moveable enough for bathroom sex, but it also lends itself well to smashing up a bedroom. And in spite of all that, it still fits him pretty well and is the perfect length. That’s functional fashion right there.

I’ve always really enjoyed him entering here right as Manny’s name pops up on screen, like yes it is I.

There’s also a really funny bend-and-snap moment, but with Rio it’s more like lean-and-smash.

Look at that lil booty go.

7/10 -- The outfit, not his ass

Look #2

A new shirt!! Someone (was it you, @riosnecktattoo?) once said that Rio was lured here under vague pretences and assumed it was a date, and I agree completely, because that shirt is not from his Crime Closet. That is 100% from his normal wardrobe, which sadly means we never see it again, but let’s enjoy it while it’s here, ok?

Not only is this whole look way more casual than his normal getup, but the shirt is also green? We’ve seen more colour in the past few episodes than ever before and it’s frankly dizzying.

Especially when combined with an open popped collar?! Sir. Have mercy.

It’s difficult to tell whether he’s wearing the entire shirt open or not, though it does seem that way (!!), and there’s a black t-shirt underneath.

It gets even worse: at one point you can see the arm band and the ring at the same time, plus he’s doing a shot, and in combination with this new Look, it’s all a lot to handle.

You know this whole scene he’s just thinking I can’t believe I wore my date shirt for this.

Also, this is how he looks at Annie when she asks how much it would cost to “just smoke” Mary Pat:

Bahahahahaha. She’s lucky, Hoodie Rio would’ve been even sassier.

Look #3

We’re back to the Crime Closet, but I don’t even mind -- it’s no secret that I love this man in a blue shirt. It’s not the perfect 1x02 All Saints one, but it is very well-pressed until he creases it up with his dumb posture.

Even for this show, this scene was inordinately dark, so don’t mind my lightened screenshots so we can view this shirt in all its glory.

It is actually ridiculous how good he looks in everything blue.

This is one of my favourite parts of the scene, where he just straight up steals a chair from the people at the next table. What if that person had just gone to the bathroom, Rio?! Where are they supposed to sit when they get back?? Smh. Rude.

Also, he’s wearing his arm bands again but, more importantly, a new pair of shoes!!

I said I wanted evidence of Rich Bitch Rio and this episode really delivered with a fourth pair of shoes. And not only that, but they have white in them?? I’m going to go lie down for another moment.

Look #4

Ok, so you know what this means, right? Out of the four outfits in this episode, only one of them was all-black. We’re breaking records here, people.

Sadly, we will never get the iconic grey hoodie from 1x02 back, but apparently Rio did deign to remember that he looks amazing in grey and decided to remind us all, too, by stunting in this look right here.

It’s another All Saints shirt -- not quite as luxurious-seeming as the blue one, but nice nonetheless. Difficult to tell if it’s from his Crime Closet or not since we never see it again, but I’m going to guess that Rio heard filming was happening and immediately put on something extra spiffy and rushed over, knowing this was his opportunity to get discovered.

He even wears his new pair of shoes, which we get a better look at!

Look at those kicks! And these jeans aren’t as skinny!

I love this look. It also helps that he is just very giggly in it.

Rio in grey hits different, don’t @ me.

1. What was your favourite scene of the episode? Tell us why!

WHAT AM I LOOKING AT

The Dean/Boomer/Beth Africa montage

None of these require further explanation.

2. Was there any scene that missed the mark for you? And if so, how?

Honestly? The Rio and Ruby scene. It’s one of both characters’ most one dimensional scenes and while it totally makes sense for them to play it like that, it was one of the least interesting scenes in the ep *ducks*

3. This episode features Beth’s iconic! gamechanging! monologue! Do you think Rio was intending to kill the girls? And if so, at what point in Beth’s speech do you think he changed his mind?

He was most definitely going to make his long suffering number two do it bc he’s absolutely incapable of putting together a situationally appropriate outfit and clearly had no intention of going anywhere near any blood splatter. The worst kind of management tbh.

P sure the “you’re an idiot” was the turning point as Rio will later to go on to demonstrate a truly unparalleled Beth being mean to him kink and I like to think that was the moment it awakened.

4. This episode also introduces Marion to us! What do you think of her? And knowing how her story ends in 3.08, what do you think of her arc and her relationships with Boomer and Annie respectively?

Love that actress, character’s trash though. Not only is she responsible for Boomer but she’s also, you know, sweet little old racist. It always fundamentally undermined the emotional hook with her and Annie as the show goes on.

5. Ruby has her only (so far at least) direct interaction with Rio in this episode! What do you think of that dynamic in this episode, and where would you like to see it go in the future?

I would LOVE to see them have an actual confrontation with Ruby at her most I’m that bitch. Rio would not know what to do with himself

6. How do you think Beth and Annie got Boomer into the treehouse?

Obviously some convoluted system of ropes and pulleys made out of the contents of Beth’s ribbon bin (you know she has one).

7. This episode seems ambiguous about Greg and Nancy’s roles in Ben’s life up to this point. How long do you think Greg and Nancy have been together, and how close do you think Ben is with them at this point?

MORE IMPORTANTLY WHY DOES ANNIE FIND IT SO UNREASONABLE TO TAKE YOUR SHOES OFF IN THE HOUSE

8. Do you think Beth ever went back (or thought about going back) for Dean’s grandmother’s ring?

Not really. I think Beth’s sentimentality about Dean is mostly tied up in his role as her children’s father, not so much her husband. Plus they would’ve expected her to fork over her hard-won cash for it and I don’t think she would’ve been willing to do anything like that until post s2 when it probs would’ve been too late,

9. What do you think Stan was thinking when he woke up to Ruby making all those lasagnas? What do you think he was thinking when he, Sara and Harry ate so much of it?

Was Stan thinking? I feel like if he was he would have had more questions and also not eaten 14 lasagnas

10. Has Beth ever seen a dick pic before?

You know Dean tried to send her one at least once. She probably made the same face when she realized what it was and then had to assure herself it was just because she was surprised, see, not like…she’s fine with her husband’s dick she swears.

11. Is Greg still in love with Annie at this point in the series? Or does he fall in love with her again later in the season? Or not at all?

I think Greg loves Annie, not sure how much either of them re-fell in love and how much it was just familiarity and comfort. Don’t hold me to this opinion though, it’ll probs change over the course of this rewatch

12. That! Hook! What do you think made Rio go back to Beth’s house? What do you think made him take a chance on her?

I’m telling you, it’s that Beth being mean to me kink. He’s like why do I get half a boner every time I think about that lunatic blonde? Must investigate. This will end well.

Schitt’s Creek Finale Review: I May Never Stop Crying

I wonder if there’s ever been a sitcom wedding that’s ever gone %100 to plan? Where the focus was just on the love, and the beautiful scenes of beloved characters sharing the love…. Schitt’s Creeks series finale comes as close as any show has I think. Minus the issue of venue, Dan Levy and co-created the most perfect, touching, aesthetically pleasing wedding ever. I’m not talking just about LGBT marriages either, ALL TV weddings have been outdone.

There were, of course, minor issues, the largest being David and Patrick’s wedding venue being rained out. Now we never even got told where the wedding was originally, never got shown any beautiful halls, or fields or whatever, so it wasn’t particularly devastating. There wasn’t the usual “doomsday” feel that a lot of sitcoms weddings face. This was partly because the wedding also had to be balanced with the shows end, so any wedding drama had to be light and the episode was better for it. No runaway grooms, bomb threats, huge impediments, which left time for, as I said, the greatest wedding ever.

The town hall was transformed into a beautiful, rustic setting filled with beautiful flowers. The Jazzagals sang a beautiful medley of “Simply the Best,” and “Precious Love” the shows two most iconic musical moments. They’ve never sounded better!

Then Moira, the wedding’s efficient entered in her most audacious, dramatic outfits which included papal robes, long shiny golden gloves, and an enormous bishops hat. Can Moira be the new pope? I’d love that.

Anyway, so wracked with emotion that her accent reached new heights of weird, gave the most beautiful speech by an efficient ever.

“We are gathered here today,” she began, “to celebrate the love between two people who’s lives were ostensibly brought together, by the fated flap of a butterfly wing.” Already I was in tears, but her speech about fate finding a way to bring you to the place you were supposed to be was perfect, and sums up the shows whole 6 season arc.

In order to find them, to truly find happiness and together, fate had to bring them to a place they never would have wanted to find themselves in. But it changed them, and you could literally see the character growth of all four Roses, as Schitt’s creek and it’s inhabitants slowly molded them into compassionate, thoughtful, resourceful and joyful people. Alexis, early in the episode, mentioned her fear that living in three different parts of the country (LA/ New York/ Schitt’s Creek,) the Roses would fall into old patterns, and lose that bond they’d formed in those two tiny motel rooms. But I truly believe that the town and Stevie, Roland, Tedd, and Patrick changed them so much, there’s no way they could drift apart again.

Patrick’s vows… Well, he basically just sings “Always Be My Baby” by Mariah Carey… *chefs kiss*. A final chance to hear Noah Reid’s angelic voice.

David’s vows encapsulated everything that Patrick’s love, and the town, has done to help him feel safe, and happy in a way he never has before. To see a character, so jaded by past experiences, slowly open up to this magical love they share has been my FAVOURITE part of Schitt’s Creek. David’s journey for love and self-love feels like… The dream for any outsider or LGBT person who’s been trodden on. We deserve love and we can find it. And I thank Dan Levy so much for giving me personally that hope.

Cheekily he says to his new husband “YOU are my happy ending.”

With the worlds most beautiful wedding over we only et a few short minutes of goodbyes. Now we remember, oh, the show really is ending as the Roses hug, and cry, and promise to visit each other. The shortness of this scene kind of feels right. They’re not saying goodbye forever, so why should they spend 40 minutes saying goodbye 100 times.

We as fans don’t really have to say goodbye forever either. Even though the journey has ended, this beautifully crafted show that celebrates love and family above all else, will always be there for us to rewatch. That’s what comforts me as I watch those final scenes, of a show that’s meant a tremendous deal to me…

Okay, so I’ve added a few photos in with this post because my God. Anyway, first of all there’s this photo collage:

The top two are of Beth answering the door and the blue jumper/sweater is a slightly different shade of blue to the one where she’s carrying the lemonade but considering it’s a similar cut and she’s wearing the same necklace, you’re right in saying it’s most likely the same outfit!

Because the lemonade one looks like a darker shade of blue, I’m wondering if that bottom right photo is also the same outfit too. Which, that bottom right photo is in the s3 trailer, when Ruby asks, “and then what?” and Beth says, “whatever we want!”

Now in the falling three photos, the sweater/jumper is super dark so it’s hard to tell if it’s actually blue (especially when we know she has multiple ones in different colours lol)

This is the first photo which includes Annie and Ruby in the actual scene (Annie is on the couch) and they seem to be wrapping up some of Beth’s furniture. There’s also a wider shot of this scene where she’s wearing the same jeans that she’s wearing in the last photo on this post.

There’s also this one which is from the s3 trailer when Dean is listing all the crimes Beth has committed.

And then this iconic moment haha:

She’s also wearing the same necklace in every photo too.

Now, outfits do repeat so it could be nothing and I’d be surprised if they have released this amount from just one episode but God, there’s just so much happening??? And if it is all from one episode it feels like things will either go from Beth (and Annie and Ruby) being carefree and happy to having to deal with something more serious (or vice versa).

Because of that, I actually do think it’s possible that Rio is the one at the door but it does depend. I know we all say that it wouldn’t be him because he doesn’t ring doorbells but I could imagine him doing it in this situation, haha. I mean, him showing up would definitely cause her to look like that, especially if things had been going so well up until that point. If all those photos are from the same episode (and I mean they only had 8 episodes to work with for the trailer) then it seems that Beth is going to go on a bit of a wild ride.

And I mean, it doesn’t even have to be the first time she’s seen Rio in season 3, y’know? If they really don’t want to work together but are forced to, I can imagine him trying to make the most of it and ringing the doorbell when they’re supposed to meet or turning up unannounced to do business just to get under her skin lmaoRealistically, I do think it’s more likely to be Turner or perhaps someone we haven’t met yet but imagine how good it could be to have Rio answering the door. So, yeah, I agree, I don’t know if it makes more or less likely that it’s him at the door but I really hope that it is :’)

Picture this: Attack on Titan Reality Show AU

So the show in question would chronicle the lives of rich kids from Trost (think something like The Hills or even Jersey Shore cranked up to eleven)

- Season 1 cast would be the Shingashina Trio, Jean,Marco and the Warrior Trio

- Zeke would be a guest star during the first season and would become a recurring star in Season 2 before being bumped to series regular come season 3

- Levi was originally meant to be a guest star in the pilot episode of the show and from there join the cast in season 2 but due to Eren’s veto power, Levi is bumped to main star status by season 1 much to Mikasa’s annoyance due to how popular Levi is and also his sexual tension with Eren which had been playing out publically for years

- Both Eren and Levi notice and purposely sex things up just to piss off Mikasa

- Sasha and Connie join mid season 1 and are the major source of comic relief as these two play pranks on everyone

- Historia, Ymir, Petra and the rest of the gang join in season 2

- Gabi, Falco and the other Marleyans join in season 3

-Most of the drama on the show is instigated by Mikasa and occasionally Eren and Jean (Eren mostly since he is the self proclaimed King of Trost and lives up to said reputation and heaven forbid if anyone threatens his throne) since these two drama Kings always want to one up each other xD. It gets to the point that the most viewed episodes of the show are the ones with sexy Ereri content or the ones with heated catfights, most of which are either between Eren and Jean or Eren and Zeke especially when the entire gang is hanging out together

- Levi gets in on the catfight action with Erwin whom he often butts heads with. Also he and Reiner and Jean have heated arguments. The worst ones are the ones he has with Zeke. Also Hange purposely riles him up everytime. There are also his issues with Mikasa who so happens to be his nosy and annoying little sister in this verse

- Zeke and Eren have always had a rivalry which worsens once Eren and Levi hook up. Zeke being the overprotective big brother does not approve of his brother’s relationship and often teams up with Mikasa against them

- Armin gets in on it too with Marco and occasionally Jean since Jean loves to pick on him

- Reiner also has some pretty heated arguments with Eren, Levi and Jean with Bertholedt joining in occasionally

- In short, the boys are usually the big draw for that reason

- The most popular chick is Historia as a result of being a famous idol on the show. Ymir is her bodyguard xD

- Mikasa is jealous of Historia and tries to upstage her by cutting her screentime which leads to heated moments between them

- That alone drew some backstage heat from the others

- It is rare for the girls to get into fights save for the Annie/Mikasa fights from in some parts of season 1. Most of the fights on the show are thanks to the boys. That all changed in season 2 when Hange and Petra had a fight over Hange blurting out a huge secret of Petra’s to everyone’s shock

- In season 2, most of the girl fights center around Mikasa who instigated most of them. She clashes with pretty much every other girl to the point where they snub her and not invite her to anything

- Speaking of Hange, the others avoid her like a plague because she is the resident gossip alongside Mikasa

- Marco and Jean do not officially date till season 4 but there is no denying the chemistry between them and this often generates some jokes from the rest of the cast

- Everyone thinks Armin and Historia are twins and the two of them use that to their advantage much to everyone’s annoyance of course

- Eren and Ymir are Historia defense squad and they almost alwaysdouble team on Reiner and Jean since those always make sexual advances towards Historia who often gets uncomfortable with that

- Annie and Eren are seen as the strangest friendship on the show since Annie is very quiet and comes across as this cold unapproachable chick whilst Eren is a lot more crazier.

- Reiner and Bertholedt are those two jocks that almost always hang together and often bully the others only to get their asses handed later

- Mikasa is the overprotective mama bear for Eren and it got to the point where in different episodes, she and Eren would clash because Eren just wants to be himself

- Gabi is yet another source of conflict on the show as she wishes to be the main star forgetting that the main protagonist is Eren and this leads to even more catfights mostly between her and Eren

- She and Sasha hate each other because of Gabi’s rude behavior at Sasha and Connie’s wedding

- The show is a huge hit amongst kids all over the world and it has spawned loads of memes and spin offs in other cities

- Besides the catfights, the show is famous for two other things; the amount of sexy moments (Thank Ereri for that) and of course the fashion

- Everyone has an awesome fashion sense and they often set fashion trends

- Plus they are avid social media users. Eren and Levi have the most followers for obvious reasons

- Expect loads of cursing from this lot. The Yeager bros and the Ackermans are the worst in that department

-Ereri are the most famous and iconic couple on the show. Other famous couples include YumiKuri and Springles

- Eren purposely dresses sexily not just to gain Levi’s attention but also to drive the fanboys and fan girls nuts. Everyone might as well thank Historia, Ymir and Armin for that because they help Eren choose his outfits and shop together

- One of the most highly discussed elements of the show is the now famous Yeager tush (Yup Eren’s ass folks xD) The fans love talking about it and Eren is aware of it and purposely walks in such a way that everyone can see it
