Some own takes on Bloodmoon cuz I miss the old design and loved seeing how many took inspiration in it for a whole heap of Bloodmoons out there.
Bonus take in @pixel-chills' Animutant AU style just because I felt like it. Pretty sure an animutant as messed up as Bloodmoon would never get to exist in-universe, but oh well.
Also lil BTW Critter BM
Enjoy!

What would happen if we put together or joined animutants with biomatronics?
Would you do another collaboration with Pixel Chills?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
actually we already had talked about this with @pixelchills :D I made this weird idea about the melting of the two dimensions, but don't take it canon. i was just having fun while drinking wine xd for real, Sunrise would be very curious to compare a lot of stuff to his own world, and Moondrop would just keep his Sunny under his eye. I want to believe that if they talk a bit with each other, they can relax in their company. After all, Moon and Sun are just as protective personalities like the animutant boys. :)

I know I'm super late for this trend but I didn't have time to draw it when it was hot but here it is XD
Maybe foreshadowing the next chapter of MDD...
...or Solar getting caught for his vending machine coin trick.

Red had a lot of old damages in their shell that were fixed. Most of them were dents and scratches, but they did have a bullet hole in their left leg that thankfully seemed to miss their endoskeleton. They also had dents in their right arm and leg that seemed to have been bite marks from a dog.
They've told their brothers about all their old damages and how they got them, but the bites are ones they refuse to talk about. The brothers can guess though, Red has a pretty obvious phobia of dogs.

Imagine @pixelchills ‘A Not so Sunny World’ AU, but crossed with The Maze Runner univserse.
Spoilers for The Maze Runner movies!
To try and create a cure for the flare WICKED created animutants and sent them into the maze trials to see which ones would be immune or not, which ones would gain the anti-bodies to hold off- or even cure it.
Sunrise and Moondrop being sent into the same maze, group As maze, and them being sent up right after the other and forming a close bond due to them being sent up at relatively close. Sunrise either being a track-hoe or a med-jack, meanwhile Moondrop is either a runner or a blood-houser.
When Thomas comes into play Sunrise is curious about him, the greenie who always asks why, the newbie who wants to go into the maze- to solve the maze. Moondrop isn’t as curious as Sunrise, choosing to keep his head down until Teresa makes her appearance.
When the Maze refuses to close Moondrop is the one protecting Sunrise, making sure the Grievers don’t sting or take him. When Thomas gives the Gladers an opportunity to leave Moondrop and Sunrise take it, hoping for a better future outside the Maze. They both make it out of the Maze.
They meet Solar in the facility Janson runs, Solar warning the Gladers not to trust the place too quickly and when they make their grand escape from the facility Solar is right there with them.
Sunrise is horrified when they first meet the cranks, his body freezing at the mere sight of them, needing Moondrop to pull him along so he didn’t get bitten.
They find the people in the mountains and when Brenda and Jorge join the crew so do Freddy, Bonnie and Monty.
Finding the Right Arm allows them to meet Chica, Roxanne and Foxy, also leading to the betrayal of Teresa and Monty as they alert WICKED of their location. When WICKED returns and takes Minho Sunrise is also taken.
Moondrop spends six months with the Right Arm and a failed attempt to get Minho and Sunrise back before he and the rest of the Gladers take matters into their own hands, eventually joined by Jorge, Brenda, Chica and Roxanne after some trouble in a crank palace.
Around the time Newt shows signs of infections, so does Moondrop.
Meanwhile in WICKED Sunrise is seen as a major breakthrough, his blood- much like Thomas’s- completely eradicates the flare from the host’s body. Only problem? The cure made from his blood can only cure animutants, it only slowed the infection rate in humans.
When the last city falls Moondrop helps Thomas and Newt rescue Sunrise and Minho, his infection rate ever so slightly slower than Newt’s. Sunrise is horrified to find out Newt and Moondrop are infected and manages to snag a single vial of the cure his blood made before they made their escape from the WICKED building.
Making their escape it becomes obvious neither Newt or Moon are going to make it, Newt cranking out and attacking Thomas while Moondrop was mere moments away from cranking out himself. Sunrise only managed to get one vial and two people needed it.
Sunrise would have to choose. His lover? Or a beloved friend?
All he had to do was remember,
WICKED is good.

Dreamflower Original Story MASTER POST
This post is a collection of facts and information about my original story universe, "Dreamflower", and the main storyline soon to be published on AO3, titled "May I Love You".
The post will be divided into sections under the cut, first section includes the basic synopsis and facts about the main characters and the environment. After each published chapter, any new characters introduced will get their own little section and a possible visual sketch of their character.
Dreamflower universe is very loosely based on my FNAF Animutant AU, but many things are made and flexed out to be so much different that this is a completely original story at this point, despite the main characters sharing some similarities with Sun and Moon from FNAF-
------------------------------------------------------
Synopsis of the story:
Humans have always been afraid of things they aren't familiar with. When a new type of subspecies of humans started to appear after the late 60's they were terrified. Theories of alien invasion or the devil's advocates taking over the earth slowly, members of this new species, Animutants, were denied regular human rights, and often forced to live outside major cities, or sometimes even killed as a form of funded euthanasia.  Solros Ellis is a young adult who, despite being a human, has never had an easy life. Growing up in extreme poverty, bullied until he dropped out of school, abused by his alcoholic father, Solros has only wished for freedom. One morning, Solros wakes up to a new reality: he has turned into an Animutant overnight!  Learning what could possibly happen to him if he stays in the city, Solros runs away from his old life and meets Luan Costello, a guy of his age who was born as an Animutant, denied basic human rights and lived his whole life feeling like a burden to those around him. With Luan's help and kindness, Solros is getting adjusted to his new life as an Animutant and healing those wounds his old life left on him.  Will the difficulties of being considered something less than a human bring Solros just another set of unfortunate events, or was his mutation written in the stars so he could meet with Luan?
-----------------------------------------------------
Plutonia:
The story takes place in a made-up country called Plutonia.
Plutonia is an island country. It has its own indepedence, but works as a constitutional monarchy under the English Crown, just like Canada.
On the world it's located underneath Newfoundland island, close to the North-East coast of the US.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both Solros and Luan were born in Duskfort City. Solros lived there until his transformation. Luan's family lives up to the North in a small town called Bluebell.
You can read more facts about the country from here.

Chapter 1:
Summary:
Luan Costello is an 18-year-old young man, who will soon graduate from high school, just waiting for his life to start. Except he has never gone to a normal school, has no real friends and is haunted by the fact he feels like a burden to his loving family. There's nothing wrong in his life, other than the fact he was born as an Animutant and denied a lot of basic rights in human society. Yet, he feels like something is still missing. An opportunity, maybe love; something that would make his life have a proper meaning. But he rarely leaves his house, doesn't spend time with people of his age, reads books and writes poems all day long. Is he really expecting his destiny just to walk up to his house and knock on his door? Well, guess what...

I drew Sun and Moon from a zombie apocalypse dream I had. I couldn't remember what the bottom half of Sun's outfit looked like in the dream so I decided to put her in a skirt
I used the second image as a ref for the pose
Also, the dream was probably inspired by @/pixelchills Animutant AU and the pants from the dream were probably supposed to be like the pants Moon had in one of @/splendidnobody posts
Also, Sun is a girl in this so please don't call her a guy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Edit: I coloured it
Tumblr media
The dream:
I was like half asleep for the past hour or so and had the strangest dream about a zombie apocalypse au.  Sun and Moon were seperated and had married and had just barely had their first kid that they named Eclipse/Clipsie after their original form (in my main au, Sun and Moon were originally meant to be one attendent named Eclipse and at some point they split into Sun and Moon so that's where that part comes from).  And Sun and Moon were just kinda resting together enjoying time with their newborn when Moon heard noises outside the daycare and went to go check it out.  He never opened the door but it was a bunch of zombies and one was apparently in full armor which was the noise he heard.  Anyways, he grabbed Sun and Eclipse and hooked up his wire to himself then carried Sun and Eclipse to the ceiling as the zombies got through the door.
Also just before I woke up there was this scene of a guy talking to a lady about manufacturing a virus to attack the first company she made for him, fazbear entertainment
There was also a small part where I had the idea of Moon having been bitten and that causing the virus he has which was weird.  Also his red eye was broken and he covered it with his hat.
Also Vanessa/Vanny was there, she was a bad guy chasing Moon by swinging through trees on these weird swing things.
Also Moon had a cute purple sweater and him and Sun were hiding out in this creepy ass mansion where for some reason Moon still had his wire.  The creepy mansion does not surprise me as those are very common in my dreams and nightmares.  Haunted, abandoned mansions both scare and intrigue me.
Also also apparently Bam had a zombie mermaid au where Sun and Moon were zombie mermaids

Not tryin to be mean at all. I think what prompted pixelchills to post about not tagging their art as Tsams is because you tagged their recent art of their Animutant AU as Tsams. The one with the barbie and ken mugshot meme
DID I???
Oh God I'm so sorry if I did.
If I do, please know its not out of maliciousness.
I'm just tired and not paying attention.
I've been going through a lot in my real life lately
I forget Solar can be a name of ocs.
I removed the tag

THE ANALYSES OF FICTIONAL WORKS VOL. ONE, SECTION TWO:
THE WORK BEHIND THE ANALYSIS:
A NOT SO SUNNY WORLD (PREQUEL) BY @pixelchills on AO3
MASTERLIST
TW: MENTIONS OF SELF-HARM, BODILY INJURY, PANIC ATTACKS AND GENERAL OVERTHINKING/ACUTE ANXIETY, MINOR CHARACTER DEATH, BODILY FLUIDS (both urine and vomit are mentioned briefly in some chapters), AND TOPICS OF SEX AND SEXUALITY, INCLUDING THEMES SUCH AS AROUSAL AND PLEASURABLE/PLEASURING ACTIVITIES AND AWARENESS.
spoilers under the cut!!!
SECOND CHAPTER: THE FOOD COURT
This chapter went through A LOT, including the establishment of Sun as a level 3 Animutant, some filler dialogue on the construction of Moon in the story, and Sun becoming more and more curious about his surroundings and his body!!
A couple of things that for the sake of my need for every little detail in an AU to be polished to perfection I need to give extra attention to:
THANK YOU, PIXEL, FOR DESCRIBING THE LEVELS OF ANIMUTANTS. I have a HUGE pet peeve around people making up systems and setting something at a random level and then.. NOT describing what the other levels are. I played a video game in which there was a ‘class III superficial robotic wound’, BUT DIDN’T EXPLAIN THE OTHER TYPES OF WOUNDS?! It made me so mad and the fact that the humanity ‘levels’ of the Animutants were explained made me so happy.
Just the description of the labs themselves. When ‘Connection Court’ was mentioned, it felt like I knew what that was supposed to establish and was just very smart wording. A+++. The worldbuilding is SUBLIME so far, and overall how we’re taken throughout the labs and the court in general is written thoroughly enough that I feel like I can imagine without much strain what everything is.. supposed to look like.
FAVOURITE SECTION FROM THIS CHAPTER:
It tasted like cardboard. Not that he knew what cardboard would taste like, this was his first meal, after all. But the texture of the liquid and the lack of any sort of flavour was making his mouth feel icky and his tastebuds disgusted. Was this what he was supposed to eat until his stomach could take solid food?
Again, Sun getting to understand how his body feels about certain things and discovering more things just feels so cute in such a well-done way???!?!?!!!?!?!

Actually looking at some PMMM analysis got me having more thoughts about the megucas on the rock (yeah that's what I'm calling that au).... don't feel like drawing them again but in my head I'm constantly tweaking aspects of it to make things fit together in a manner more reminiscent of the property I'm borrowing from. Like for instance
I've changed my mind about Neil's weapon; I think he should have his gameboy gun from "gameboy mystery part 2". I gave the other two weapons that they've actually been depicted with (Ryan's vigilante getup includes a sword even though he doesn't really use it, and of course Kevin has been depicted using a proton pack) so it makes more sense to give Neil the same treatment rather than basing everything too heavily around the lemon demon theme, which doesn't really reflect on his nkotr persona specifically
Speaking of design aspects I've changed my mind about... Neil's soul gem is still lemon-shaped, but it's on a hairpiece or clipped onto his glasses to represent how he's the clever/nerdy one. Kevin's soul gem is a star-shaped belt buckle (americana, babey!) and Ryan's is question mark shaped and worn as either a clasp on his outfit or maybe on his hand
I've also been thinking about how to tie their wishes into what type of magic they'd have....
Since Ryan's wish involves tracking someone down (to get their dog back) he gets the ability to track down high concentrations of despair, which helps him locate witches. He can also use it to find ordinary people who are deep in despair, often having turned to crime as a result. Magical girls are only meant to fight witches, but Ryan is a little too eager to beat up average criminals as well, which contributes to how he ends up exhausting his magic
Kevin wishes for money, but only so that he and his friends will have financial security, so his power lets him "secure" things in the energy beam from his weapon. This is also helpful with his real motivation for making a contract-- he's able to catch Neil and pull him to safety while he's under the control of the bad luck witch
Neil's wish (reviving his fellow magical girls) is driven by a desire to put things back to how they were, so maybe he can make time reverse by a few seconds in a concentrated area? Or just in general he can fix things up. He uses this newfound ability to restore the city after Daxter's witch from wreaks havoc
Speaking of witch forms!! I sure have had some more thoughts about those!
Ryan's witch form is named Regina le Fay-- a feminine version of Reggie, his character from year of the snake (also meaning queen, which fits with his fashion and elegance) plus Morgan le Fay, a witch-adjacent character from classic literature who was initially depicted as a healer but was later prescribed more villainous traits. This represents how he has a nurturing side despite his spookiness
The portraits that make up Regina's head resemble Ryan's human face from a distance, but when you get up closer the paintings seem to shift until you're not sure who or what you're looking at; it's a metaphor for how he's kind of weird and mysterious and inscrutable even to his close friends. Continuing this metaphor is his body, which is made up of many layers of long flowing cloth that conceals his true form-- resembling a puppet, representing how he felt used/manipulated by Spencer's misguided magical girl advice. His labyrinth is a basement filled with a bunch of weird objects that all act as his familiars
Neil's witch form is named Barnabas-- after his character from year of the snake, but also meaning "son of encouragement", which kinda fits his vibe, as well as being a biblical name (one of christ's first followers, symbolizing how devoted Neil is to Daxter). Barnabas resembles something from an animutation, with the vaguely DnD-bard-esque puffy sleeves of Neil's magical girl outfit escalated into full-on medieval jester garb; one of his hands is fused to a keytar that he uses to attack. His labyrinth has an early 2000s internet aesthetic and there's strange and disorienting music playing inside. His familiars are the potter puppet pals
Kevin's witch form is named Pietro della Venkman-- a reference to a historical figure referenced in dante's inferno, diplomat Pietro della Vigna, whose eyes were ordered to be gouged out; as well as Peter Venkman from Ghostbusters. PdV looks like a cross between the robot from nplh and the lawn-mowing man, with many parts of his body torn away and only an electric framework holding him together, and of course his eyes are missing. His labyrinth is a packed football stadium; his familiars are eager fans waving american flags
Daxter Flaxter's witch form is called Doctor Faustus, an obvious reference to the classic play as well as fitting into the running joke of the new kids addressing Daxter as different things that sound similar to his actual name. The original story that the play in question was based on bears some notable similarities to PMMM, and elements from it are referenced in the show itself. DF's form is too large and powerful to easily comprehend, but it generally manifests in the form of his giant floating head; his labyrinth resembles the limbo zone
I haven't worked much out for the other characters yet, other than obvious stuff like how Mitch Dollarton's witch form would involve him being trapped in an arcade machine... (and of course Spencer's witch form would be named Bernanke, but that's a moot point since he has a doppel instead)
Speaking of Mitch though, I take back what I said about how his wish wasn't actually for money... I still think he was already fairly rich before making his contract, and made his wish so he could get good at video games, but what he specifically wished for was unlimited resources so he could have infinite lives and items inside the game as well as countless opportunities to play it. His motivations were wholly selfish, so his magical ability is manifesting money with his magic staff. His soul gem is shaped like a dollar sign and it's located inside his front pocket, making it hard to spot but all too easy for Max to hit and shatter accidentally when they're fighting
I don't think I ever mentioned what Max's wish or powers are... let's say he found out about magical girls and thought they sounded cool, so he made a contract and wished to get the chance to beat lots of people up (this wish was granted when Mitch met him and was struck with the sudden urge to recruit him as a bodyguard of sorts). His power is just enhanced physical strength and mild invulnerability, since he didn't really want anything beyond that. His soul gem is shaped like a fist and is located on his actual fist, in the spot where one of his fingers is missing
I mentioned before that Spencer's wish was for him to be well-liked, and that his skateboard can transform. Let's combine those ideas and say that his magic ability, springing from his desire to be seen as cool, lets him change clothes instantly (even his magical girl outfit looks a little different each time) so he can match his style to whatever's in hipster vogue. His soul gem is shaped like an onion ring, and its location jumps around depending on how he decides he wants his outfit to look that day, but usually defaults to his lower back
Another slight tweak to something I said before: Daxter didn't realize how much magical potential he had when Kyubey approached him to make a contract, and he asked for "unlimited power" within the context of gaming specifically. However, he wound up getting actually unlimited power, with a magic staff resembling a video game joystick that he can point at things to cause pretty much whatever effect he wants. His soul gem is his iconic lightning bolt shaped belt buckle
Daxter is actually legit friends with Kyubey! Even though the Incubators don't experience emotions, when Daxter is obviously out of magic and about to fall into despair, Kyubey encourages him to use a grief seed even though by all accounts he should want Daxter to witch out. It's a "my mental pathways have become accustomed to your presence" kinda thing, y'know? But of course Daxter is so unbothered by everything that's he's just like, nah, it's witch time B)
This isn't a vital aspect of the narrative, but when things start going bad for the new kids, Spencer and Wendy both decide to leave town and they end up meeting on the train and becoming unlikely friends (I actually wrote a little script thingie about this a while back, don't think I ever showed anyone though)... maybe they end up in Kamihama City together and Wendy finally decides to make a contract and become a magical girl herself. Or, more likely, she still refuses to make a contract but does manage to make peace with her past, having finally befriended a magical girl who she can trust not to meet a tragic fate anytime soon
I've also been thinking a bit about the other witches the new kids encounter, and what they were like as magical girls, but the only one I've really come up with anything for is the ghoul. Her human name was Gardenia Cooper, and she helped her father tend the grounds of the house they lived in. As her father got older and able to do less work, she worried that they'd get laid off and not be able to stay in the manor anymore, so she made a wish for her father to stay strong and keep working. As a witch, her outward appearance resembles a kid in a cheap costume trying to scare off intruders, but when her skull mask is torn off her second form is revealed: a mass of tentacles like roots in a garden
