One Punch Man Season 3 Reveals Staff and PV

No, it's not Mappa

Personally speaking, I don't think Mappa could have even support OPM season 3 in their current state, but that's neither here nor there as J.C. Staff reprises their position as the studio behind OPM- and it's kind of not a good thing (but not in the way that you'd think).

J.C. Staff as the animation studio is the least of the concerns with this information because we're not even given a director.

The list of staff we have is: Series Composition, Character Designer(s), and Music. That's it.

And even with the limited information given, it's not a good look. We don't know if Sakurai Chikara will be reprising their role as series director or not.

What we do know however, is that for the first time in these 3 seasons, Chikashi Kubota won't be the singular lead character designer. Alongside her are first-time character designers Shinjirou Kuroda and Shirokawa Ryousuke, who are also rather new to the animation scene in general.

All in all, even with the trailer it does not result in a good look for the season. Certain cuts are awkward and sluggish, and while some of the combat is really well animated, it is still yet to prove it can hold a candle to season 2, let alone even the weakest moments of season 1.

I have so many memories growing up with Naruto!! I first got acquainted with the series as it was being serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump magazines back when I was in the 8th grade. But, I didn’t fully get into it until I was like 16 years old.

I know most people talk about watching the anime. While I did watch the anime too, I also followed along with the manga. My fondest memory when it comes to Naruto is staying up late at night 12AM, 1AM, 2AM. Possibly even 3AM😆 On a school night just waiting for the new update to drop. Around 2011, when I joined tumblr, I found the Naruto fandom. It was a lot of fun logging in right after and everyone was discussing the manga. Mostly shit posting, but it was a lot of fun.

Naturally, I’ve moved on. Naruto will always have a spot in my heart. I swore it would be my last Shounen Jump series, and so far, I have maintained that oath. I’ve watched Boruto on and off, but I really can’t get into it. But, if they ever decide to redo Naruto again, I will be there. Im down for it! Anyways, happy anniversary, Naruto!!💖

Medalist Reveals First PV

It looks great, but it's still Engi...

The hardest part about this is the fact that ENGI has Ryuuki Hashimoto on their side, and that the anime doesn't come out until 2025.

ENGI has a terrible habit of using Hashimoto's incredible cuts to fill up a trailer, and because of that it's hard to really tell whether or not Medalist will actually look as good as the trailer indicates.

It's the most amount of time that an ENGI series has had in production, but that doesn't mean anything without the proof to back it up. I mean, just look at trailers for works like The Detective's Already Dead. Hashimoto's cuts are front and center as a flashy "look here" sign, yet the series itself was held together by a single thread.

Regardless, there's plenty of time to hope and be reassured by the production since it releases in 2025, so there's not point in fretting too much at this moment. Simply revel in Hashimoto's incredible animation.
