aaron forgiving andrew for killing tilda when he has children of his own because he thinks that if she were around he never would’ve let her meet them.
(and if he didn’t want his children near her, or any children near her, that means that he, as a child, should’ve never been near her. and he gets what andrew did bc he would kill to keep these children safe too.)

when i first started to play the Changeling route, i was expecting snarky child Clara roasting the shit out of grown adults
what i was NOT expecting was just how vulnerable, scared, and emotional Clara is throughout the whole thing
the amount of emotional turmoil and torment Clara goes through is fucking insane. i’m only on day eight, and this child has completely speedrun anxiety, daddy issues, abandonment issues, and trauma—among other things. she’s only twelve days old by the end of the whole thing, and her mental health is already in pieces 😭
but like, some of the things you can make her say really highlight just how vulnerable and young she is.
whereas in the Haruspex and Bachelor routes you can refuse quests because you can’t be bothered, Clara can refuse a lot of quests because she’s scared. because what she’s doing freaks her out, and she doesn’t want to get involved.
she also just seems so sad all the time. especially on day six, which is just a huge emotional rollercoaster for the poor kid (one part that sticks with me is when it’s implied that she starts crying while talking to the Albino, and the Albino does his best to comfort her, and she starts weeping about how even Katerina, her own mother, disowned her)
this is so jarring after you play both the Bachelor and Haruspex routes because she acts nothing like this. you see hints of her vulnerability, but usually when you talk to her, she’s very cryptic and strange. she’s nothing like she is in the Changeling route, where her youth and fragile mental state is suddenly laid bare right before your eyes.
also there’s a line where she admits that she’s been “crying a lot lately.” so. yeah.

A fic that looks like it’s about to be a Wangxian kid fic because WWX is seriously considering adopting A-Yuan because all of A-Yuan’s living relatives are too old or too sick to take care of him except for Wen Qing, who is an ER doctor and just simply does not have the time to do that and be a single parent of a little kid, so maybe, because A-Yuan loves you so much, Wei Ying, you could adopt him, and then what’s left of his birth family could still stay in his life…
But HERE COMES JIANG WANYIN WITH A STEEL CHAIR and a “We could get fake married and I could help you take care of A-Yuan, it’s not fair that you should have to give up your nephew just because this country has so few accommodations for single parents, I’m really good with kids (probably) I’ve always wanted to be a parent (kinda) and it’ll be a totally 100% platonic marriage because I’m DEFINITELY not secretly in love with you” and then the rest of the fic is chengqing fake relationship AU

Miraculous Ladybug AU where Félix joins early and is in Season 1-2 except when the Frightingale episode happens, Félix is among the people who first get hit except unlike everyone else running around and screaming, he is low key having the time of his LIFE.
An Akuma that forces you to sing, dance, and/or rhyme in order to survive it? He was MADE for that. You’re telling him he’s REQUIRED to preform and be extra or he’ll die? Literally every theatre kid’s dream.
Adrien is worried for all of five seconds until he sees Félix bursting into a one-man musical and then he’s like, “Oh yeah. Félix is the last person I need to worry about for this.” And then sneaks away to become Chat Noir.

so like, something that bothered me was: when i was describing my kid and her personality to a group of parents, and how it was similar to my personality, and there was a parent who just kept saying "have you been assessed for autism? it sounds like autism." and i was like, no, ha ha, we don't have autism. and she kept asking me -- gently, not haranguing, with good intentions -- "are you sure? seeking a diagnosis can be very helpful. she could have help in school." and i'm like yeah i know, my mom is an educator who has worked with sped, we don't need it though. and she just kept going like: "but i mean, being sensitive to things, the way you describe it, it sounds like autism." look. i get it. i'm glad there's an expansion of an awareness of autism. i might even be mildly on that spectrum, and my kid might too. but a diagnosis is only helpful as far as its ability to open up connections, accomodations, etc. i have my own little method of doing things that works really swimmingly. and here's the thing: i was really good in school. i crushed tests, worksheets, creative projects, public speaking, group work, independent work, participation, navigating conflicts, school plays. and -- i should note -- it's also not an "overachieving" thing. i was happy being an "As and Bs" student. i firmly regular-achieved.
so sure, i'm an odd duck, i'm sensitive, i'm erratic, but i'm also super social, energized by other people; i have my odd little ways of doing things but they're not set in stone routines. i crave novelty and have issues with impulse moderation. these things + sensory sensitivity and etc etc all fits a pretty firm diagnosis of ADHD. BUT i'm not even married to that diagnosis. like i'm fine just saying, you know what, i am who i am, i operate in this funny little way, but i've figured out how to do things in life, a lot of people love me, i'm very successful and very happy. no further accommodations needed (at the moment). so why hang my hat on my previous diagnoses, or any other diagnosis? literally, like... social services are stretched so thin, please let those services go to someone else. not me, whose biggest "problem" is that i have a special interest that is sometimes a money sink (slow fashion). but that's basically just a hobby. people have hobbies. i'm not in need of therapy for being this way.
i have a blog, ok. other people find my fixations funny and useful!

(NOTE: just to be clear I'm not bashing any of the three characters I mentioned. I just found it interesting how she's been pushed away from the family members that she has a lot in common with.)
Isn't it crazy how Mirabel is connected Alma, Bruno, and Pedro? All three of key figures in the Madrigal family plotwise?
Mirabel has Alma's loyalty and love for the family, which emboldens her to have the courage to make hard decisions that no one might agree with, and yet this trait that she shares with Alma is—ironically enough—what drove them further apart from one another throughout the length of the movie.
Like Bruno, she's treated as the black sheep of the family due to her lack of gift. This shared connection of being the "dirty secret" of the family causes Bruno to go into hiding for her safety, but despite his best intentions, him hiding away is actually what makes Mirabel's situation worse in the long run because he disappears on top of everything else that was going on with her.
And with Pedro, she is referred to as his "gift" to the family, their one last miracle from their savior. They share the same courage that urges them to protect the family, but it is this same courage that causes Pedro to lose his life.
What I'm trying to say here is, despite having so much in common with these people, they almost always end up leaving her behind. And while it's true that Pedro's death isn't directly connected to her, Alma feared the implications of Mirabel's giftlessness because it could be a sign that the Miracle is fading—that the thing that gave Pedro's death meaning would one day disappear. In the end, this causes her to isolate Mirabel from the family due to her strange lack of connection to the Candle, which Alma connects back to Pedro.
At this point, Mirabel has already been disconnected to three key figures in her family from childhood. If Encanto had been a different genre, Mirabel would've been a character doomed by the narrative 😔

A future fic carcass I'll write when I write (after I finish 9 ungoing fics)
King Viserys dies at the wedding celebration of his daughter, Crown Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen.
No one else does.
I am a firm believer Otto and Viserys are the rot on the face of the House of the Dragon and without these two everything would be fine-ish.
Unfortunately, we need Vissy T for his kids to be born, so Viserys dies soon after Aemond is conceived. Sorry, Daeron, not this time.
Joffrey doesn't die because he doesn't manage to provoke Criston before the king dies.
Rhaenyra overrules his father's decision and marries Harwin Strong.
Their son Jacaerys Targaryen is the heir to the throne, Lucerys Targaryen is the heir to Harrenhal.
Daemon marries Laena and lives at Dragonstone (Rhaenyra grants him that), their firstborn is the heir of Driftmark.
Laenor joins the Queensguard and is sent to Dragonstone to protect Prince Daemon (ha) and his future heirs.
Criston Cole becomes the Commander of City Watch while still retaining his white cloak (what? He did it in canon, can do it here).
Rhaenyra removes Tyland Lannister as the master of ships and appoints Corlys Velaryon (back).
When Baela and Rhaena are born, it is decided to betroth Prince Aegon and Lady Baela, making him future lord-consort of Driftmark (and successfully removing him out of succession of the iron throne).
When Jace is born, his and Helaena's betrothal is announced.
Baelon is born without an issue and the royal family meets at the celebration on Dragonstone, where Aemond claims Cannibal and loses an eye in the process.
(Kinslayer, everyone. It fits).
Afterwards Luke is sent as a ward to Harrenhal with his father. A huge ass scene ensures there Luke clings to Aemond and refuses to go.
Aegon makes a greasy comment and gets punched.
Both Aegon and Baela are sent as wards to Driftmark.
Lucerys still leaves.
Harrenhal doesn't burn bc even if Larys kills Harwin and Luke, there's still Lyonel and Joffrey in the equation. Lyonel keeps serving Queen Rhaenyra as her Hand.
Years later the royal family meets at the wedding celebration of Baela and Aegon, where Luke and Aemond behave very much like Rhaenyra and Daemon at Rhaenyra's not happened wedding.
Rhaenyra and Alicent clutch at their pearls, Rhaenyra suggests father died because of seeing something like that.
Daemon asks if she implies they killed Viserys, then asks where is Baelon.
Laena replies Baelon is playing knights with Joffrey.
Rhaenyra and Harwin Strong (no) have three more children, Aegon, Viserys and Visenya, all silver-haired like their mother (her uncle).
Laena is fine with it, they have a poly. Laena doesn't have more children because Baelon's birth was a ghasty one.
Baelon claims the Grey Ghost.
Otto is never called back to the capital because (suprise!) Rhaenyra didn't rush to kill her 3 y.o brother or the other one who was born after Viserys' death. Instead she marries Aegon off so he's no threat.
Aemond eventually joins the Queensguard and is appointed to the future lord of Harenhall.
Lucerys refuses to marry and appoints his brother Viserys as his heir, who marries Visenya. They have a very good life in Harrenhal.
The reason Luke skips over Joffrey is because Joffrey is always at the sea (with Baelon), and Aegon the Younger is bethrothed to Baela and Aegon the Elder' firstborn, Laena.
Everyone lives happily ever after, Otto gets to be the head of the house Hightower after he successfully plots against his own kin, since his blood is secured on the throne, if in unconventional for him way.
He once tried to manipulate Aegon, but was cut off sharply by Rhaenys and Corlys, who kind of adopted the boy as theirs.
Aegon enjoys wandering about Essos very much, he, of course, whores around, but he and Baela have an agreement. One of Baela's children is born from Alyn of Hull, but no one is any wiser, since everyone just thinks the child looks like her.
Jacaerys and Helaena have three kids, Jaehaerys and Jaehaera and then Maelor.
Jaehaera is oldest and so is the heir.
Oh, and Rhaena is happily married to Corwyn Cobray. They have a daughter, Rhaenys.

i don’t understand the Alolan VA at all...so Masters wants me to believe that its version of Lusamine is based on the USUM continuity, but now it’s also telling me that her past goal was to “keep the Ultra Beasts for herself” (??? not even her motivation in USUM) and Faba is still Branch Chief somehow instead of an intern...AND they’re seemingly just redoing the Rainbow Rocket arc as if it never happened??? if they do a swerve and tell me she’s not actually based on USUM continuity at all and is in fact an entirely different Lusamine i’m gonna go nut

Stephanie: I was watching MLP with Cass the other day, and you know you two, you and Dick, really give the vibes of Applejack and Rarity.
Jason: The what now? Of the who?!
Stephanie: All that yearning and pining. Your undeniable compatibility, how you care for each other yet how blind to each other's needs , so you just accept the pretense of friendship or how you'd like to call it? Oh "camaraderie".
Jason: Wtf are you about.
Stephanie: Know that I am you number one fan. You are my OTP, I will always cheer on for you. Who knows maybe I should write you a fic someday...
Jason: A.."O" what? Steph what the fuck are you talking about???
