so while it is a cool little attention to detail thing that one of leon’s idle (and sometimes running) animations in RE4make is him stretching out the shoulder where he was shot in RE2, it does add an extra layer of fucked up to his character lmao

like. that gunshot wound happened six years ago. if it’s still bothering him, that means that there’s some kind of permanent damage there -- and it’s probably nerve damage. and since it was a government doctor who patched him up in the first place, it’s not like they don’t know that that’s a thing. so the federal government is basically like “hey leon we’re going to send you into the most dangerous combat situations on the planet by yourself. hope your shoulder doesn’t lock up and/or your arm doesn't go numb at the worst possible moment and get you killed. good luck!”

and then you keep thinking about his nerve damage and remember that las plagas specifically attack the body’s nervous system and it’s like lmao oh that’s why leon’s plaga progressed so quickly, and why it was on par with ashley’s despite her having been injected with one days, if not weeks, earlier than he was -- and why he didn’t have to go through any of the additional “rituals” that she did in order for saddler to take over his shit.

it’s like the RE4make devs looked at leon and were like “so how can we make him even more pathetically miserable” and the animator who’d already decided to retroactively break his nose was like “hey i got another idea”

For a religious man, Fyodor really likes the idea of being responsible for your downfall. There's nothing he loves more than taking his sweet, innocent lover and moulding them into his ideal lover, his personal porn. He doesn't actually care if you're not "pure" or "innocent", to him you can always get worse. The more kinks you have the more he can exploit, the less you have the more he can implant into your pretty head until you don't even remember they weren't your idea.

I do want more stories where like...a character just goes fucking berserk without remorse or consequence and just ends the Big Problem the world has to face.

I want to see the consequences of that and hear about the beginnings of the after effects of that towards something better even though the main character created so much destruction and collateral damage in their wake

I also want stories where a character goes fucking berserk but is precise, calculative, and cautious and careful but will still end the Big Fucking Problem that plagues everyone.

Erebus’ mother now has a name so does his father this is exiting because what other parent characters have solid names literally none of them (Alex and Eiras mother is either called aderyn or Gwen I haven’t decided she’s irrelevant and Louie’s parents are called Jennifer and locryn that’s really it) so his mother is Matilda and his father is Henry and I think I might give them the surname duff I’m not sure but I don’t really have any other ideas and behind the name spat it out when I was looking up names with dark somewhere in the meaning I’ll sit on it also joshA1 and joshA2.5s combination reboot got renamed Liam because there are too many joshes so the one guy that was actually originally called josh (unlike joshA3 and joshA4 who where called Louie ) is now called something similar to Louie but Liam actually hasn’t shown up in any major characters names before this so I’m actually getting less incomprehensible

Not to be “woe is me” but why do I always get the terrible gifts for every single occasion. Like great I get an ugly necklace I’ll never wear and a bouncy ball while they got candles and nice items. Makes me feel wonderful.
