Florida’s House of Representatives passed a bill Wednesday that would let the state take transgender minors away from their families if they are receiving gender-affirming care.
The measure passed by a vote of 82–31. A previous version of the bill passed the Senate earlier this month by a vote of 27–12, and the amended version now goes back to the other chamber for a final vote. Governor Ron DeSantis has previously expressed support for the bill and will likely sign it into law if it passes.
Pride Parades in Florida are being cancelled. The ‘Don’t Say Gay’ law has been expanded to encompass all of K-12 education, abandoning its flimsy “it’s just protecting kindergartners!” pretext.
New bills are being passed to punish private businesses for having gender-inclusive bathrooms, remove trans healthcare from Medicare, and bring criminal charges for medical providers that give gender-affirming care. Now this travesty of a bill on the fast-track to becoming law will empower the state to tear kids away from their supportive families.
This is evil. I do not use this word lightly, but when the state is twisting the very serious legal definitions of harm and abuse in order to kidnap trans children from their loving families - or to remove children from their trans parents - more subdued language is dishonest.
Burn Florida to the fucking ground.

The Great Collie Crossover, 9/10
A/N:  I LIVE. Many apologies for the long delay, life + two bereavements got in the way and sucked away my writing motivation. Please enjoy this long overdue chapter! The epilogue is coming soon!!!
The usual disclaimer: I own none of the characters, being neither JK Rowling nor @colubrina. This is just a chance for me to play in the sandbox they have created. This is a birthday/get well soon present for the lovely @colubrina, whose work has been such a joy and inspiration to me.

8: Rebuilding
“This is the last world, isn’t it?” Hermione asks.
Other-Hermione nods. “And out of all, it’s probably the most like yours. But my parents couldn’t be un-obliviated. And I broke up with Ron. So after that, I came to Hogwarts to help rebuild the castle. And take my NEWTs. And hopefully fix my life while I was at it.”
Which sounds exactly like what she did, except for the breaking up part. “Were you the only one who returned too?”
“And that,” Other-Hermione says as the scene changes, “is where our paths diverge.”
She remembers this. Coming back. Settling into the Slytherin girls’ dorms because they were the least destroyed. But the blonde head in the common room is something new.
“And of course it’s Malfoy,” she says, unable to conjure up any surprise even as the past-Hermione goes “Malfoy. Bloody hell.”
She looks at the other witch, and they snort in unison.
Walking to dinner together and talking about Macbeth. Helping in the library, separately at first then together. Arguing - a brief moment of shared misery at being able to see thestrals - then right back to arguing. Apologizing for mocking him about the ferret incident. Shakespeare and Titus Andronicus and the atrocities humans committed during war. More cleaning of books. Complimenting each other until he brings up Ron and she can’t help but wonder what happened here. Did he cheat on her? Hurt her? Do some other atrocity she hasn’t seen in any world?
“No, no, and no,” Other-Hermione says, and she realises she asked that out loud. “You’re allowed to break up with people who aren’t evil, you know.”
“Then? What was it?” she asks as she watches Draco apologise, as they bare their wounds to each other, as they watch the stars.
“You’ll know soon enough.”
There’s a long silence as past-Hermione says that he was forced to be a Death Eater but that doesn’t make him one. The two tentatively flirt before tension descends, past-Hermione mercilessly breaking down every reason why being with him would be a constant battle. Somehow easing into another quiet rapport.
Cuddling in the Slytherin dungeons and talking about their parents. Watching the fish and falling asleep in his arms. A kiss. Conversations in the library that make her wish she hadn’t gone through her eighth year alone, that she’d had someone like Draco to bare her soul to. More kissing. The pureblood and his pity date. The war heroine and her walk on the wild side. “It will be awful.” “It will be the only good thing in a sea of awful.”
Theo arriving and the tension that ensues. Getting drunk. Going up to Gryffindor Tower. Hurling fierce, angry words at each other. “Easy to offer forgiveness to the boy you want to shag, isn’t it?” and even though it’s been so long, Other-Hermione still flinches at the accusation.
Breakfast. Theo taking care of Draco like she takes care of Harry, the loyal friend who looks out for them because things in their life are shite. Theo, who loves his father and didn’t know he was a Death Eater. Theo, who’s gay here - why does his sexuality seem to vary between worlds? Reaching a sort of detente.
Then Ron comes into the library, full of accusation and cruel words and - “You abandoned us!”
“That’s why you broke up with him?” Hermione asks, stunned.
“He abandoned you and you didn’t break up with him?” Other-Hermione throws back.
The fight is hard to watch. The words “Death Eater’s slag” even harder to take. But she can’t bring herself to be surprised. Her Ron could do this. If she ever got together with a Slytherin. Her Ron could call her that.
Conversations and explanations. Ron going to the Prophet, to Rita Skeeter, to claim that Draco had imperiused her. Proving it wrong, going after Rita, sending Ron a Howler, and she recognises past-Hermione’s viciousness with the discomfort of one who knows she’s capable of the same. Teaching Draco to make a Patronus. Matching otters.
“You two really are in love,” she says with soft wonder as they watch the summer fly by.
Other-Hermione smiles faintly. “The Patronus always tells.”
The Sorting Feast. Pansy and Neville and Ginny. Molly as DADA professor. Having a panic attack. Ginny defending Draco. The Gryffindors hurling cruel words at her even as the children insist that he didn’t crucio them, that he faked it. Waking up to find “Death Eater’s Whore” tacked to her door. Class and cruelty and being ostracised and Molly and more panic attacks.
Recovery Group, something that’s supposed to help them get over the trauma of the war but turns into angry sniping. Hannah and Padma. Susan Bones, angry and wounded after her family died, lashing out at Theo and Pansy until they walk out. Getting into a screaming match that reduces Susan to tears.
Classes. The eighth years studying together. A second session of Recovery Group, this time with the little Gryffindor boy - Andy - joining them. Pansy being a secret master of household magic. Susan trying to fuck her sorrows away. Theo trying to drink them away.
Rebuilding Day, a big production of inviting parents to Hogwarts to show them that all is well, a production that means people coming with their petty cruelties. Susan defending Theo with the sort of righteous passion only Hufflepuffs can muster. Narcissa and Lucius being polite to her even though it’s clear that they’re doing it to rehabilitate their social image and ward off Posy Parkinson. More cruelty from Ron even as Harry drops a kiss on her hair. Finally alone with Draco then finding out he’s been cutting himself.
“Don’t you dare judge him,” Other-Hermione bites out before she can even say a word.
“I wasn’t going to,” she protests, but she knows she’s lying.
Time passing in school. Suggesting a Yule Ball. Theo and Neville starting a thing. Padma having food issues. Pansy helping her to put Draco back into some semblance of togetherness after he breaks down. Confronting Theo about his drinking. Draco buying brooms for the little first years, trying to atone for his deeds last year by helping them now.
The girls teaming up to go after the Gryffindors and their cruel note. Pansy vicious and hard. Padma wielding Ravenclaw wit and words like a sword. Susan accusing them of being unkind. Hermione wandlessly setting the note on fire. She wishes she had more girlfriends in her world. Girls, together, smashing injustice.
Neville confronting Molly. McGonagall refusing to do anything about it except allow them to self-study DADA. She feels her respect for the old witch drop.
Chanukah at Hogwarts. Shopping for the Yule Ball in Muggle London. Dancing and romance. Harry being all chummy with Draco for her sake. Neville ending it with Theo at the Ball and Hannah going after him. Spending winter break at Hogwarts with Theo while Draco goes back to the Manor. Bonding. Getting each other gifts, a dragon charm bracelet for her and a comically long Gryffindor scarf for him. Draco returning with a pygmy puff and an engagement ring. Percy visiting and flirting with Theo, who’s too busy bemoaning his breakup to notice it.
Time passes. The eighth years bond. Hermione curses a rude student, marking his arm with “bigot” and filling his mouth with soap. Draco doing the only thing he can to make it better by telling his parents that he’s proposed. The Malfoys ignoring it.
Going with Theo to visit his mother’s grave. Helping Padma to eat. Valentine’s with Draco and their first time. Holi at Hogwarts, celebrating diversity and triumph and good winning.
“Look at the hope,” other-Hermione murmurs as they watch the bonfire burn. “It’s always there.” Then she cocks her head. “You’ll have to go soon, I’m afraid. Morning is coming.”
“Tell me how this story ends,” she says. She needs to know.
The other witch smiles. “Theo and Percy adopted Andy - long story. Susan and Blaise. Neville and Hannah. Ron and Tracey Davis - he didn’t know she was a Slytherin. Pansy married Charlie. I married Draco. We all collectively moved into Nott Manor. The Malfoys accepted me because, well, Draco. Even went so far as to bury Regulus and the rest of Riddle’s inferi on their property. Padma used some Muggle techniques to help Lucius handle his post-Azkaban chronic pain. We got Susan on the Wizengamot - well, originally we wanted to get Theo’s dad out of Azkaban, and that was part of it, but he died a day after he was released. Draco and I were DADA professors for a year before I retired to start on independent research. And we lived,” she says. “We live, and we live happily. You can have a happy ending too.”
“And why can’t I have it the way I am?”
“You’re with Ron,” the other witch says simply. “You won’t be happy. He won’t help to put you back together. His broken edges will rub up against yours, not fit into yours to make something new and beautiful.”
“I’m not you. I don’t get panic attacks and need draughts. I’m not broken.” She doesn’t know why she’s so defensive.
“We all have trauma,” the witch says softly, reaching out to cup her cheek. “It’s just a matter of how it shows. Like clinging on to relics of the past, for example.” Mist swirls slow and soft. “The war was hard on everyone. It broke something in us. But we must be stronger for having been broken.”
***
She lands back in King’s Cross, where the first Hermione waits for her. “Do you see now, child? Who you are, who you can be?”
She nods, mind still spinning from everything.
Old-Hermione folds her into a fierce hug. “Then it’s time for you to…
Wake up.”

Of Syria, Sarah and Snogging
Disclaimer: Everything belongs to the Queen. Not The Queen, the other one. And not Ellen, I mean the British One. Still nada? Okay. This is the Property of JK Rowling.
The bed was cold on the other side. A familiar longing for Ginny, for her fiery hair splayed across the pillow and a dried string of drool hanging off her chin surged through him. It wasn't unusual nowadays, Harry waking up to find her side empty.
She'd been working so hard, leaving every night and coming back in the morning looking exhausted. Summer was Quidditch Cup time, and the Senior Correspondent for the Daily Prophet was busy attending all major games. The World Cup was in Australia that year, which meant all-nighters and sleeping all day back in England. That is, if not for the million other things Ginny Potter had set her mind to do that summer.
Harry sat up and stretched. His dear wife would come back soon, but he had to attend to the kids first. He checked his bedside clock. '7:00 AM' it announced in bright red letters. Groaning, he moved aside the blanket and stood up, wobbling to the bathroom. Gone were the days of lie-ins with his wife, maybe a round of love-making or two before a lazy breakfast. No, no he had to make breakfast for his three kids, each having their own reason for waking up so early on a beautiful Sunday morning.
Finishing his ministrations in the bathroom, Harry put on an old Holyhead Harpies T-shirt and descended the stairs to the kitchen. Predictably, James was already at the kitchen table, slumped over and snoring while holding a mug of coffee.
He shook his head fondly at the sight, and busied himself making some pancakes while periodically checking the wall clock for any indication of his wife's arrival. After a particularly loud snore, James jerked awake and blinked rapidly.
"Good morning, sleepyhead." Said Harry, chuckling over the stove.
James yawned. "Morning, dad." Just then he realized he had a mug of coffee in his hand, and cautiously took a sip. "What are you making?"
"Pancakes." Answered Harry, flipping the one in the pan. "This one's ready, please set the table for all of you."
He nodded and began doing as his father asked. In no time three plates, spoons, forks, knives and glasses were arranged neatly on the round mahogany table. When he was done, he plopped down in a chair again and continued sipping his luke-warm coffee.
"Say, James, you're going to the shop today, right?" Harry asked, stacking his eighth pancake on top of the pile.
The boy in question nodded sleepily, "It's the reason I woke up at this ungodly hour. Why?"
"Well…" began Harry, "I kinda was going to ask you a favour. You see…" he continued, grabbing the bottle of maple syrup, "I want you to get him back for yesterday."
James, bless him, understood immediately. He grinned, "You want me to prank the king of pranks?"
Harry nodded, "Don't forget, you're named after two of the most legendary pranksters that ever lived. I'm sure you can come up with something."
"Yeah, no pressure, dad," he muttered. But he was still smirking, "This is going to be awesome!"
Yesterday night had been a Weasley Family Dinner. Among the events that took place, George had thought it amusing to read aloud an old Witch Weekly article about Harry. It wouldn't have been too embarrassing, but that particular article was a list of reasons why The Boy Who Lived was the most eligible bachelor in the country. It had detailed Harry's, ahem, 'chiseled body' and 'mouth-watering ass' along with guesses as to how long his …'wand' could be.
Needless to say, Harry had not been happy and blushed till the roots of his hair. Bill, Ron and some of the children were in tears of laughter at the end, both over the contents and Harry's reaction. His own children had pulled disgusted faces. He was forced to hide in Ron's old bedroom for the rest of the evening, fervently wishing to sink into the floor.
Harry had just finished his last pancake when Lily walked in through the backdoor. Dripping sweat, broom in hand, in an Appleby Arrows T-shirt and compression shorts, with pulled back hair, she looked ready to collapse.
"Had a good practice?" asked Harry.
She nodded, grabbing a bottle of water from their fridge and gulping in down. Then she set her broom against the wall and dropped into a chair.
"I smell pancakes!" she exclaimed happily.
"So do I." Albus had also awoken and made his way into the kitchen. "Did any owls arrive yet?"
Harry shot him an amused look and shook his head. "You know I'll tell you if they do, right? You don't need to wake up so early every morning. You should be enjoying your summer."
He simply shrugged, "I have a feeling today is the day."
James rolled his eyes and muttered, "You say that every day."
"James," chided Harry, "I recall you being pretty nervous before your O.W.L. results as well."
"I wasn't as bad as this prat," he defended himself.
"Resorting to name calling so early in the morning, Jamie? You were just as nervous, come on, admit it," said Lily from her chair.
"Please, Lils, I didn't waste my precious sleep-ins."
"You were green in the face the day you got your letter. Your hands were shaking, Jamesy-poo."
"She's right, you know. You actually needed mum to make you a cup of tea before you could open that envelope," added Albus, all too happily.
"That's enough," Harry intervened, "Eat your breakfast now."
Albus sat down as well and loaded his plate with pancakes, maple syrup and chocolate syrup. Lily favored brown sugar and lemon, while James dove for the cheese.
Harry leant back against the counter, drinking in the sight of his children. He was so happy, every day, that they got the happy family he was deprived of for ten years. At first, he was afraid of being a bad father because he had never had one. But, he realized as he watched them bicker, he did have fathers. Arthur (that had been an adjustment), Sirius and Remus had all been like fathers to him, even Dumbledore and Hagrid. All the lessons he learnt from them, helped him with fatherhood.
Ginny always said that he did a great job. She knew how he felt, of course she did, and always encouraged him; like that time James was born and Harry was afraid he would drop the newborn, or when Albus fell from a tree at five and Harry was panicking over his broken leg, or when Lily suffered her first heartbreak at twelve and he wanted to simultaneously hunt down the boy as well as comfort his dejected daughter. Through all of that, Ginny had encouraged him to follow his instincts, for they were nearly always right. And if he still needed help, he could always go to her, or Molly, or Arthur.
But his most frequent source of advice was his godson. Since Teddy was both a kid yet mature enough to know what Harry was going through, he never failed to tell Harry what he should do or how he should approach a touchy issue. It was Teddy who told him how to handle James making the rounds at Hogwarts, how to deal with his baby girl growing up, and his son's relationship with a Malfoy.
Ginny's hand on the wall clock switched to travelling and put Harry out of his musings. Moments later, there was a pop outside the kitchen window as Ginny Potter appeared in her work robes and quill in hand. Harry watched as she recovered from the uncomfortable feeling of apparition and marched over to the backdoor and wrenched it open.
"Good morning, kids!" she greeted cheerfully as she strolled inside and made a beeline for her husband.
Three muffled "Morning's" later, she accepted a 'welcome home' kiss from Harry.
"How was your day?" he asked.
She groaned, "Bloody awful. You would think that after all those animals escaped in 2014, the handling would be improved, right? Wrong. A herd of thestrals got loose and nobody could see them so it took fucking ages to recapture them."
Harry shuffled uncomfortably, "Keep the swearing down in front of the kids, love."
She glared at him, "I will talk however the bloody fuck I want to. Besides, I'm sure these teens have heard worse, am I right?" she asked them.
James nodded enthusiastically, Albus shrugged, and Lily snorted out a "Yeah."
"See?" she stated, as if that proved her right.
Rolling his eyes, Harry decided to be the mature adult and let it go. "Which country has thestrals as mascots, anyway?"
"Syria." She replied, rubbing her tired eyes.
Albus spoke up at that, "Were they trying to make a statement? With the war going on there and all?"
She smiled sadly, "I think so. All Syrians could see them, including the players."
James whistled. Lily and Harry were digesting the sad fact when Albus posed his question they all knew were coming.
"Do you think my results will arrive today?" he asked anxiously.
James rolled his eyes again, "Bro, how can they possibly—" he was cut off by a sharp look from Ginny.
She started in a gentle voice, "Albus, honey, I think they will arrive next week."
"How do you know?" he asked, still anxious.
It was Harry who spoke, "I asked Professor McGonagall."
The three Potter children stared at him in surprise. He rarely used his connections to do anything for himself or his family. The fact that he asked her meant he cared a great deal about his son, and Albus was really touched by his gesture.
"Dad, you didn't have to—" he began, but Harry cut him off.
"I wanted to. I saw how hard you worked, and how worried you are. You earned yourself some peace of mind."
It didn't seem like much, asking about the O.W.L.s, but the only other time the Chosen One would use his status in the Wizarding Community was when any of his family members got hurt.
Even when James wanted a new broom that wasn't out yet for his birthday, or when Lily played reserve that one match last year, he dealt with it like any regular parents would; he waited it out. But he had gone to McGonagall and asked her for Albus.
Him and Albus hadn't always had the best relationship. When he got sorted into Slytherin in First Year, Albus thought Harry would hate him. So, he had distanced himself early on to spare himself heartbreak. It was only after Scorpius convinced him that his father wouldn't reject Albus that he allowed himself to break down his walls and grow comfortable around his dad. Albus knew that Harry had asked McGonagall to show that he cared, to make sure Albus never felt unloved again, and he appreciated it.
"Thanks, dad," he said, smiling.
"Woah, shit, I've got to rush," exclaimed James with a quick glance at his wristwatch. He was halfway out of his chair when Ginny shot him a pointed look.
"I'm sure George and Sarah can wait till you've finished your breakfast," she said firmly.
He huffed and started shoveling the cheesy pancakes in his mouth, not seeming to notice Albus' raised eyebrows and a wicked smirk spreading over Lily's face. Harry sensed a bout of James-ribbing coming up and shared a smug glance with his wife.
"So…" started Albus, "Sarah, huh?"
Lily picked up the thread, "Guess now we know why you have been rushing to the shop every morning for the past two weeks."
James seemed to realize what had come out of his mother's mouth and immediately turned red. "H-How did you find out?" he stammered.
Ginny laughed. "Honey, I'm a reporter. I have my sources."
"Meaning George told her," translated Harry. She elbowed him.
The poor boy looked mortified. "I'm going to prank him so bad…" he muttered.
"Wow, Jamie, I have never seen you this embarrassed. You actually like this one, don't you?" remarked Lily in wonder.
"No! I mean… maybe…" he said, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.
Lily looked delighted. "Finally! I have been waiting for this for a very long time."
James looked terrified. Albus took some pity on him and explained, "She's going to unleash the Weasleys on Sarah."
He shook his head rapidly, "Please don't Lily, you'll scare her off!"
"I think that's the point, son," said Harry, "A test of sorts. If she gets scared, it's no use chasing after her. If she doesn't, and fits right in, Merlin help you if you harm a hair on her head."
Ginny nodded. "Why do you think I married Harry? My brothers wouldn't have approved any other guy."
He looked at her, offended. "Is that the only reason?"
She sidled up to the man next to her. "Not the only reason. For example," she said in a flirty tone, ghosting her hand over his ass, "many of those reasons from the Witch Weekly article were pretty convincing."
Lily mock-gagged, Albus tried not to laugh, and Harry groaned, "Do you have to kill the mood?"
Ginny simply leaned in and made out with her husband quite thoroughly.
James was still trying to eat as much as he could. Though he was momentarily delayed by Lily's scare, he still hadn't forgotten his hurry to get away from his horny parents, annoying sister, and well… chocolate-eating brother. He finished quickly, grabbed his jacket and wand and was out the door before his parents came up for air.
"Bye!" and he was gone.
Albus and Lily, also sensing that their parents needed some alone-time, grabbed their plates and hurried off.
Meanwhile, Harry and Ginny were engrossed in their snog-fest. When they finally came up for air and noticed the empty kitchen, Harry laughed.
"Looks like we scared off the kids."
Ginny shrugged. "They have stuff to do. Albus probably has a date with Scorpius, and Lily will be heading over to Ron and Hermione's to practice with Hugo. Besides," she said, wrapping her arms around his neck and bringing their faces close together, "It was a very wise thing on their part to leave, because I am going to ravish you right here in the kitchen."
Blood racing at her words, Harry grabbed his wand and apparated them to the bedroom. "We, Mrs. Potter, have a lot of catching up to do," he said, dropping hot kisses down her neck.
His hands traveled under her shirt and up her sides when he felt her go limp in his arms.
"Ginny?" he asked, alarmed.
Her only reply was a soft snore.

Maud girl, I love you, but you'll hate me for this ramble😅 A - Ships that you currently like a lot. (They don’t have to be OTPs because not everyone has OTPs.) Friendships, pairings, threesomes, etc. are allowed. Well, I'll go with all of them. For OTP, my biggest are EdWin and Royai (from FMA), Karmanami from Assassination Classroom and NaLu from FT. Friendships... I love GrayLu platonically and RoyxMaes is the best brotp😍 and of course I freaking loooove all friendships from Haikyuu and Akatsuki no Yona... And I love Zen and Mitsuhide's relationship in Akagami no shirayuki-hime and Al and Ed are best bros and the freaking platinocial relationship between Handa and Naru gets me everytime and I should probably gp to the next ask before I ramble more than necessary. B - A pairing–platonic, romantic or sexual–that you initially didn’t consider, but someone changed your mind. Asano x Nakamura... I never even imagined them as a couple... Until I read a perfect fanfiction... And now I ship⛵️⛵️ C - A ship you have never liked and probably never will. I'll be hated.... But EdxRoy (just no, okay?! Mustang's like a dad to Ed!!) and Shirayuki x Obi because Zen😍😍 (I love their friendship tho) D - A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t. Yamaguchi x Yachi because I wnat Yams to be happy... But HinaYachi is love, HinaYachi is life!! E - Have you added anything cracky/hilarious to your fandom? If so, what? Not yet, but I joined FMABigBang so I'll add Ed being an overprotective drama queen (or rather, king) dad, so stay tuned! F - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom? Hmm... Almost a year in the FT fanfom!!! Happy birthday, I guess? G - Have you ever had an OTP? If so, do you remember your first one? Who was in it? I live for my OTPs! (Which just proved why I'm still single... I have my whole life aheeeaaaad~~) I think one of my first conscious OTPs (in that I knew what that was) was Harry x Hermione and it was shattered to pieces... Damn you, JK Rowling! (I still love you). H - What is your favorite source text for fandom stuff (e.g., TV shows, movies, books, anime, Western animation, etc.)? Hmm... Anime. Because it's lively and you can actually picture the characters miving when reading a fanfic! I agree with manga too... And sometimes books. Movies feel just too real to be placed in cartoons, though. I - Has Tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why? No, but the haters were closed to it. Tho I did stop liking the small Usagi Drop fandom because of the manga spoilers that ruined my experience... To those who want to watch it, take my friendly advice, PLEASE don't read the manga. The anime is the fluffiest thing, so please just watch that. J - Name a fandom you didn’t think about until you saw it all over Tumblr. (You don’t have to care about it or follow it; it just has to be something that Tumblr made you aware of.) Bnha, which is why I started reading it. And Voltron.... I'll watch that soon, too. K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc? Uhm... Well that's a hard one. I absolutely love the subtle and endearing development in Oreki (hyouka) and Haruhi in Ouran, but my favourite has to go to Tsukki for how well-built it was!! Furudate-sensei, I bow im front of you. Also, honrable mention to Karma in Assassination Clasroom. L - Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves. (Characters you’re neutral about are fair game, as are characters you merely dislike. Characters that you absolutely loathe with the fire of ten thousand suns are exempt, as there is no point in giving yourself an aneurysm over a character that you hate.) I don't especially love oikawa. I admire him a tone, and I have a lot of his quotes forever saved in my phone, and I think he's the best setter of them all (I'm sorry, he has more experience and tehnique than Kags or Asaaahi, tho I agree that they'll become better than him in one year's time). So there: I aknowledge his amazingness altough he isn't my fave. M - Name a character that you’d like to have for a friend. Edward. I want to spend a full day with him and learn how alchemy works (and we'd complain together about how short we are). Also, Haruhi: I feel like she'd give the best advice when I'd need it. N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice). My faveourite fandom is FMA: everyone gets love and attention, and there's little to no hate. What I'd like for it is to make it alive again! I mean, there are events and the such, but the manga finished almost 10 years ago, guys! I hope the new live action will bring us back alive. O - Choose a song at random. Which ship or character does it remind you of? Hmm... Well On my Own by Ashes Remain was the first one that popped into my head and it kind of reminds me pf Natsu. He's that character that would always smile, but he's always surpressing his feeling ('I've been stuck in a cage with my doubt/I tried forever getting out on my own') P - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas). Random AU...? Honestly, I'm not the biggest AU fan, but if I had to, I'd choose 'we've been stuck in a traffic jam for two hours and we're bored, let's play cards; hey wait Gray, you're cheeting; no way I'm not!; mira, doing cutesy things won't help you win... Laxus don't give in!!; if Laxus is allied with Mira so is the thunder legion! Then I'm starting one on my own! Erza, I'll join... Great, now we have Wendy on Erza's side... All dragon slayers together! And exceeds! Wait lucy, starting a female club isn't gonna help ya! ...guys? That's not how you play pocker!' AU. Okay, I may like this one in particular. Maybe I'll write it:) Q - A fandom you’ve abandoned and why. I've abandoned the HP fandom. I still like the books, but I kinda grew out of it...? (And into anime😇) R - Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom? Uhm... In which one? If I'm going with FT, my favourite friendship is GrayLu. In FMA, it's a tie... I love Roy/Hughes brotp and Al/Ed brotp. In Haikyuu... Damn they're too many to choose! But I'd say the Karasuno third years: they have such a tight-knit bond!! And in AssClass it would be Karma/Okuda (it's canon in my mind but friendship in the manga). I just love how easygoing they are. Also, I love Karma/Nagisa in the second half. S - Show us an example of your personal headcanon (prompts optional but encouraged) Hmm... There are many. My fetish is seeing people sleep: I think you can tell alot about their inner selfes from the position they use when sleeping and from their habits, because they can't control or put up a façade when it comes to that. So my headcanon is that despite being loud and obnoxious, Natsu actually occupies less space than Lucy when sleeping: he takes a baby-posture, while she lashes all over the bed, sometimes punching him im sleep unintentionately. Natsu learnt to deal with it: he actually likes holding Lucy close to make sure she's safe while sleeping. She doesn't mind, especially not during winter. Oh and they also cuddle with a cup of hot coffee in their hands during the morning. Just an after-thought~~ T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending? I do! I don't care if you agree or not, but Karma can be sweet, okay? Like he can actually be a good boyfriend (tho maybe a bit possessive). He's the best at telling what's on Okuda's mind and he always buys her toffee when she's feeling down. Oh and also, Riza is a very good mother, always putting her family first. Just letting you know. U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites. Yes!! 1)Karma-assassination classroom. He's that one character that believes he's the best, only to get proven that he can be wrong. What's evenbegter is how he has room to develop and grow to be a better person... Plus, it seems I have a thing for evil goofballs. 2)This is a hard one, but Ed/Roy-Fullmetal Alchemist. I abso-freaking-lutely love all the characters in FMA, but these two attracted my attention. Ed because of how he thinks, how he wants to do good deeds in spite of his thorny exterior and how he miserably fails. I love the way he admits his failures and the way he deals with them can be childish (he's 14, for God's sake!) but he learns from them. Also, Roy because even though he went through Ishval, he still dreams of making the world a better place. I can respect a man who doesn't step over the ethics just to achieve that dream and who always bends and avoides hurting others, while never giving up. Maybe it's a dream, but I very much resonate with it. 3) Lucy from FT. She's the one character in Fairy Tail that has enough of a backstory and is weak enough to evolve. Moreover, she's not your typical girl: yes, she cares about how she looks, because she IS an woman, but she also cares about what's on the inside. She cares about her friends more than anything and even without being the strongest mage, still puts herself in danger for them. I love her resolve and her cute side, too. V - Which character do you relate to most? Hmm... Haruhi Fujioka from Ouran Highschool Host Club. Haruhi is the type to do things on her own and she repells the help of others to do her thing, which I also tend to do. Also, she shoulders a lot of her worries by herself. Plus, she never judges people on appearance and doesn't care about her own (being a girl, that's rare and helps me relate all the more). I just love her😍 (and sometimes am compared to her by my friends). W - A trope which you are virtually certain to hate in any fandom. Whiny female protagonist. I'm not a feminist or anything, but I've had enough of that! Yes, we all want a prince charming, but we can carry ourselves, thank you very much. X - A trope which you are almost certain to love in any fandom. Someone pursuing their dreams. Also, I love genre deconstructions (browny points if it's comedic). Y - What are your secondhand fandoms (i.e., fandoms you aren’t in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)? Voltron and Yuri on Ice (I feel like I've watched this shows even though I haven't). Z - Just ramble about something fan-related, go go go! (Prompts optional but encouraged.) Don't tempt me, I will! ( I kinda have this whole post tho) Okay so I'll rant about FMA because I feel it doesn't get all he love it deserves!!! (And because I refrained from fangirling on it up to now) And since we're talking FMA, let's talk Roy Mustang (you knew this would come). Roy is just one of those very strong people that are actually just goofballs on the interior and need love. Seriously, let's take a look at what this guy went through, ok? He's an orphan, but he never complains and learnt to love his cousins (sisters) and aunt (mom). He was taught by a pretty crazy (very talented, but Hawkeye did have a screw loose for inscripting a tatoo on Riza's back and you can't convince me otherwise) alchemist, and yet he managed to become the next flame alchemy. Despite being told not to, he joined the military with a childish dream and even after learning of the harsh reality in the Ishval war, he still went on believing that he can make the country a better place. Yet he's not perfect: he can lose his temper when it comes to those he loves (Mustang being killed) and he doesn't want any more people to die. He cheerisbes his team and wants to keep them all safe. He can be a cheapskate and also a bit of an annoying guy with Ed, and he can be obnoxious, yet funny as hell (tiny miniskirts!!!) Above all, Mustang feels HUMAN! Yes, he puts up a great act, but it's an *act*. He has a more sensitive side and you better not mess with it, or he'll burn you to ashes. This concludes the short version of my Roy Mustang appeciation post. Also, I have some headcanons about him being best dad (and his child being a daddy's girl/boy because of it) and of being a pretty intimidating Führer. This concludes my post. @bookstvseriesandanimes and @paperrabbit13 know what I'm talking about😅 And I tag @bookstvseriesandanimes @paperrabbit13 @shoujoinsights @candyforever123 @funnyshoujomoments and whoever else feels up to it:)
