living together ~ monkey trio
{macaque, sun wukong, & mk x fem!reader}
++============++
Macaque
macaque started living at your place after the defeat of LBD and it was a weird adjustment for him
he’s not the type for a more domestic life but he loved you and didn’t want to leave you alone all the time
you were happy to have him there but you could tell he was struggling with the adjustment
mostly all the sounds, it irritated his ears
you do live in the city after all and you’re used to the sounds.
to help you got him a pair of noise-canceling headphones
you rarely see macaque without them which you don’t mind
the two of you exchanged small notes to each other
macaque finds it cute especially when you drawing things on the notes
you got blue and purple sticky notes for this
you like things that are color coded, it was one the charms that macaque liked about you
the first couple of days you spent together, macaque won’t sleep in the same bed with you
not that you minded, you loved macaque and respected his space since he’s rarely touchy with you mostly bc he’s not much of fan but also abandonment issues
but one night, you felt him slip into the bed from behind you, his arms wrapped around your waist, his face buried in your neck and his tail was curled around one of your ankles.
he likes your warmth and after that night, he’s gotten clingy with you
clingy to the point where he’s protective, like very protective
you’ve heard him hiss at people before
you started to think that your monkey boyfriend was half-cat
he loves your touch, you’ve heard him purr sometimes when you pet him when the two of you chill on the couch
you love have your emo monkey boyfriend in your home
Sun Wukong
after a lot begging from wukong, you finally gave in and moved in with him on Flower Fruit Mountain
he was a happy monkie and hugged you as soon as you showed up
“Peaches! You made it!”
“Hi, Wukong.”
wukong’s little monkeys were just as happy to see you as your monkey boyfriend
They took turns hugging you 😭
though you had your gripes with living on Flower Fruit Mountain, you found that it was quite peaceful living far away from the crowd city
wukong knew the stress you’ve experienced while living there so he thought if you lived with him you’d be able to get a sense of peace
you really took on a housewife persona which wukong was surprised by
he wanted to you to relax and let him do everything
yet you said otherwise
you like the idea taking care of household stuff also you want to make this monkey your husband
wukong didn’t stop you from doing what you wanted
when you cook, he’d stand behind you with his arms around your waist, his chin resting on your shoulder as his tail wagged behind him
“Thanks for everything, Peaches.”
he’s very flirty and rolls out compliments every so often and you don’t mind, they sometimes make you flustered but you’re so used to wukong’s antics they don’t effect you as much so you flirt back sometimes
It catches him off guard sometimes
sleeping in the same bed was easy for the two of you with you liking to cuddle and wukong being clingy
“I love you, sunshine”
“I love you too, monkey face.”
MK
you and mk have talked about who would move into who’s place
But neither of you could come to an agreement on it
Look you wanted to live with mk yet his apartment seemed too small for the two you yet you lived on the other side of the city, yet your apartment was bigger than mk’s it was a bit inconvenient
After days of rating the pros and cons, the two of you settled on you moving in with mk
pigsy and mk helped you move most of your stuff to mk’s apartment (mostly clothes and other things like that) and your hamster
mk was happy to have you with him
He likes seeing you after a long day, sometimes he even forgets that you live there
an exhausted mk would sometimes stumble through the door, seeing you either on the couch or sitting on the bed in the bedroom, he’d flop down in your lap and rant about his day while you listened as you ran your fingers through his hair
you cook most of the time
you’ve been teaching him how to cook, yes he has blown up the kitchen before
mk did get embarrassed when said you’d like to sleep in the same bad as him
mk.exe has stopped working
you laughed at his reaction, and told him that he didn’t have to agree with it if he didn’t want to
he shook his head rapidly and said he doesn’t mind
he was really tense next to you until the both of you fell asleep and woke up almost on top of each other
you moving in with him was the best thing that happened to mk

Beautiful lies [Shadowpeach].
The monkey king felt his head hurt so much, where was he? What day was it? He felt lost in time. He was in a bed, and when he got up he looked around, he recognized the place, he was at home.
He didn't remember going back home, in fact he didn't remember many things, it would be best to go see MK. It was then that Wukong smelled a delicious aroma of tea.
"Oh, you woke up, Peach. "
It was Macaque, he was smiling warmly at him and his voice sounded so soft and caring. He had put cups of tea and a teapot in the dining room, it smelled delicious. There was also a basket of fruit.
"Macaque? " Wukong didn't understand, what was Macaque doing there? So...nice. They were supposed to be on bad terms, why was he in their house, feeling so comfortable? Serving tea? The monkey king got up and took a seat in the dining room, his face showing his confusion.
"Yes, Peach? "
He even used that nickname, a nickname he hadn't heard in years.
"What are you doing here? "
"What kind of question is that, silly? I live here. "
"No, you... You don't live here. "
Macaque looked at him quizzically, what did that mean? Looks like his partner was sick or something.
"Hey, are you all right, Peaches? Why do you say that?" Macaque reached over and gently grabbed the golden monkey's face. The dark-furred monkey pressed his forehead to the other, trying to gauge temperatures. Wukong felt his face burn, Macaque was so close, too close, it made him nervous, pulling away.
"Now, what's going on? "
"Have you lost your mind? "
"No, I..." Wukong thought about it, he didn't understand the situation, the best thing to do was to go with the flow until he understood. " I... I think so, I don't remember anything. "
"I understand... Don't worry, peach" Macaque took a seat next to him, handing a cup to his partner.
"You already know who I am, but you seem a little lost.... We're a couple, we live in Flower Fruit Mountain, we've been here for years without leaving our home. "
"... Without leaving it? "
Wukong began to doubt things, he was getting an idea of what was going on, or something like that, he wanted to make sure of certain things.
"What about my staff? What about Tripitaka? "
"Those names don't ring a bell.... You must have been hit hard. I doubt there are those, we've never been out of here, there's no staff either. "
Yes, things were strange, different, in a way a part of the monkey king did not want to ask more questions, he felt comfortable.
"Are you better with that information, Peach?" Asked Macaque, holding the other's hand.
Wukong pondered for a moment, until finally his head came to an agreement.
"You're right, yes, thank you, Mango. "
It had been so long since he had said that nickname, Macaque smiled and hugged his partner, the monkey king reciprocated the embrace.
It has been a long time since he last hugged Macaque, and it still felt like the first time, his soft fur, his sweet scent....
Wukong knew it was fake, but if it was, he would enjoy it a little sooner.
He would enjoy that which would have happened if only he hadn't left Flower Fruit Mountain.
Wukong stroked his mate's head, reaching up to his ears, soon hearing the purring of the six-eared macaque, who was allowing himself to be cared for by his mate.
Because yes, they were, and it seems they were back to that time.
To that time where it was just the two of them and no one else.
"Don't go, Peach..." Said Macaque between her purrs. "I really want to enjoy my life with you. "
A cruel lie, Wukong knew it, but he believed in that lie, that sweet lie.
"I won't, Mango."
He answered with another lie, because he knew that at some point he had to wake up, but not for now.
He just... He just wanted to enjoy that for a while longer.
Just... A couple more minutes.
━━━━━━━━╰☆╮━━━━━━━━
The next morning, Wukong opened his eyes to find Macaque asleep beside him, curled up on his chest.
So sweet, so peaceful, so beautiful as in the monkey king's memories.
Why did he leave Flower Fruit Mountain? He could have lived this dream as if it were true, but no, he had destroyed his chances.
"Peach...?" He heard Macaque's sweet voice just waking up.
"I'm sorry, Mango, did I wake you up? "
"No, no, it's okay." Macaque smiled at him and snuggled closer to the monkey king's body.
It was bad, it was bad, it was bad, it was bad, but he wanted to keep savoring these lies.... To live in a better future with Macaque.
Truth be told, he had been there for more than a day, he knew, but he wanted to think it was only one. He enjoyed every moment with Macaque, the shared meals, the caresses.
He had missed those things so much.
"Wake up" A voice called out to him.
He had heard it before, but he wanted to ignore it.
"Please react" No, no, don't react, Wukong. The monkey king didn't want that, he didn't want to leave there.
He hugged Macaque to feel him closer, as if it was the six-eared monkey who would leave.
"Peach?" Macaque called out, feeling uneasy with his partner.
"Don't worry, Mac. Everything will be all right. "
"... Will you leave? "
"No, I won't leave.... "
Macaque looked at Wukong with eyes full of sadness, the monkey king only felt his heart break.
He had to go.
"Monkey King!" That voice calling again.
Wukong just hid his face in Macaque's neck, clinging tighter, trying to keep in his mind how it felt to embrace his former lover.
"I love you, Macaque.... I'm sorry, I'm so sorry."
The monkey king stood up, looking to leave, but Macaque clung to his clothes.
"No, no, don't leave me..." Macaque asked, you could see the pain in his eyes.
"I must go. "
"No, you don't have to go. Will you leave me? Will you abandon me? Again? "
Wukong was silent, that beautiful lie was over, he saw the anguish in Macaque's face, the monkey king only felt like going back to the past, his worst moment, where he was just a reckless young idiot.
"Mac... I have to go, let me go. "
"Or else what? Are you going to kill me again? Are you going to hurt me? " Macaque's voice broke into tears. " Please don't leave me. "
The monkey king felt all the weight of guilt on him, he was supposed to be over that, but it was a lie, it still hurt, to know that he killed his partner, that he destroyed their precious relationship.... And now he was about to leave that beautiful dream, he would leave it again, he didn't want to, but he knew who was calling him.
"I'm sorry, I'll go. "
Macaque stopped crying, let go of the monkey king and got up from the bed.
"Then kill me, again. "
How cruel this dream was, it had become a nightmare.
"If you want your freedom, you have to kill me. "
Wukong couldn't say anything, Macaque rushed to attack him, the monkey king stopped him, he didn't want to fight, but by using his golden vision he could see it: to wake up he had to kill Macaque, he would have to destroy him.
"I hate you" He mentally cursed whoever had made this bad taste joke.
He had to swallow the pain and fight, see his beloved being hurt, scream from the pain, bleed, until he finally ended up on the floor without being able to do anything else. They had destroyed the whole house during that fight.
"Come on... Come and get your freedom... Go, as you always do" Said Macaque in agony, with the little strength he had.
"I'm sorry... "
Wukong hadn't stopped shedding tears, it hurt, it hurt so much. He had gotten over it, but now he relived it, that moment in his life that he had wanted so much to forget
The monkey king grabbed Macaque's weapon and raised it, he knew what he had to do.
Then, he struck the eye of the six-eared macaque, that eye that in the past had hurt him, again it repeated itself. But as soon as the weapon touched Macaque, it vanished and instead his golden staff appeared.
Wukong picked up that staff, his chest ached.
How cruel those lies were.
...
He was finally able to get out of the gourd in which LBD had locked him and the staff during the battle. He had stayed in there so long that he forgot they were there during the fight, MK had to handle it alone with his friends.
"Monkey King! It's about time you woke up... Did you like your little dream? "
The monkey king frowned and looked at LBD, he was very upset, out of sadness there was anger. That damned demon was the cause of him having to experience those cruel lies.
"I'm going to tear you apart. "
Yes, the monkey king wasn't happy at all.
Because they showed him beautiful lies... To then drown him in his nightmare.

Bouquet of Hearts/ALL OF THEM/Gender neutral
I hope I did it right!!
Author's Note: You absolutely did! :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When Y/N picked up the phone, they started up a group call to invite everyone over. When Y/N had everyone re-assembled in the living room a few days later, they relayed the good news:
"I've decided to pick all of you!"
MK, in the blink of an eye, was hugging Y/N and bouncing excitedly while the other three still looked confused.
"I don't understand, how, and more importantly why, did you decide all four of us? And why's the kid so happy about this?" Macaque asked. Honestly he'd expected the earrings to slam-dunk it, humans liked shiny things. They were like magpies in that way. But the idea of a couple of flimsy flower bracelets and a fruit being equally as effective was...confusing, to say the least.
MK, still hugging Y/N, said, "Picking all of us means they picked me AND three people who I know can help keep Y/N safe if anything happens. As long as they're safe and happy, I won't worry about it too much."
Hugging MK back, Y/N answered, "Well, I decided I love all of you equally. All of you have ups, all of you have downs, and I realized that I can't pick just one or three of you. You all hold four very special places in my heart."
"I respect your decision, but uh...how exactly is that gonna work?" Wukong was laying upside-down on his cloud. "I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm very happy you made your decision, but four's kind of a crowd. Like, what if two of us want to take you out on a date on the same day?"
Red Son, who had been quiet, now loudly and obviously cleared his throat. "Luckily for you peasants, I planned for this." From his coat's inner pocket he took out and unrolled a...calendar. Everyone was color-coded (red for Red Son, yellow for MK, blue for Wukong, and purple for Macaque). "This way we all can share Y/N equally without any overlap issues. Birthdays and other such important events take prioritizations. If one of us should get sick or injured, then the care for that person also takes priority. Y/N would be very upset if any of us were to come to harm, so obviously we can't fight each other, but that also means..." He looked disgusted at his next words. "We have to be nice to each other."
Macaque, who was slowly inching over to Y/N, suddenly picked them up from MK's hug bridal-style. "Soo what's to stop me from just teleporting out of here with Y/N, never to be seen again by you nerds?"
Y/N (devilish bean they were), looked up at Macaque with sad eyes. "I'd be really sad if I couldn't see the others as well as you. How would we have movie dates and hugs if I'm sad all the time?"
Swayed by the puppy dog eyes, the shadow man sighed and set them down. "Okay, point taken. What now? Do we have to fill out the dumb chart?"
"Actually, I was thinking we could have our first group date! Right here!" Y/N went over to their DVD shelf and held up: All Dogs Go To Heaven. The three immortals were confused, but MK's eyes lit up.
"AWESOME!! Wait...how are we gonna fit on the couch?"
Y/N held up a finger. They sat Red Son in the middle, put MK on the left, Macaque on the right, and got a few pillows for Wukong to sit on the floor. After grabbing some popcorn bags and a bowl, they went back to the living room. "Who wants popcorn?"
"Give it here, Y/N, those stupid micro-wavelengths never do it right." Red Son took the bags in his hands. He closed his eyes for a few seconds. With a few POPs, the bags were completely filled, every kernel popped to perfection. He then dumped the bags contents in the bowl. "I'm not one for popped corn, it gets stuck in my fangs. The rest of you can have it. I still don't see how we're all-"
Y/N held up that shooshing finger again. They sat in Red Son's lap. "We'll rotate on who gets Chair Privileges. This way things are equal."
Monkey King, confused, sat on the floor cushions. "What am I doing on the floor?"
Y/N reached over and pulled the Monkey King back so he hit the couch, and began playing with his hair-fluff. "Boom."
"Never mind, floor seat absolutely rules."
After everyone was situated, the movie began playing. They felt Red Son's arms go loosely around their waist in a hug, and felt his chin rest on their head. His body temperature began slowly increasing, like a full-body heated blanket. Contented with this and the love of those around them, Y/N let out a happy sigh. They knew they made the right choice.

okay i know you probably have lots of prompts already but. listen; 28 and 41 with my Phantom Thief MK AU (well its more of a phantom thief everyone au but yeah)
So I maaaaay have been a smidgen inspired by one very specific post you made about this AU and Sun Wukong's first successful heist... I couldn't resist, it was just too funny.
You call this luck? No, this is all skill./Can you teach me how to do that?
"Can you teach me how to do that?"
The question wasn't an unusual one between the two of them. MK had asked this of Sun Wukong on more than one occasion as successor to the Monkey King as the Monkie Kid himself.
No, what was unusual was that the question came from the opposite person.
"Teach you... what, exactly?" MK asked, trying not to feel too smug about the swap in roles between mentor and apprentice. After all...
Someone had to teach Sun Wukong the finer points of Phantom Thievery.
"You know what," Wukong said with a half scowl, gesturing to way that his student (or, for the moment now that the question was asked, his teacher) was rolling an large pendant between his fingers. "Not the... you know, what you're doing now, but what you did with the pendant on your last heist where you threw it at a guard and it kind cracked in the middle with the smoke and light and stuff."
"OH," MK laughed out, tossing up and catching the coin in his opposite hand. "That's not really a trick or anything, just some incredibly strong flash paper, and other stuff, that's activated when you open it the right way."
In demonstration the young Phantom Thief did something in the way he held the pendant and one end slipped up with a soft cracking sound. Then he did something else and it open like a clam shell. He held it out to the elder, letting him see the inner workings and how it had latches and some kind of folding wall between the two sides.
"Opening it causes a chemical reaction between the two compartments. The real trick is getting everything inside without accidentally activating it on yourself, practicing the opening motion, knowing when to open it, and aiming it just so that it blinds your target at just the right moment. You know, this is probably just the right time to teach you how to use lines to keep this stuff in your sleeves and retract them too! So..."
As MK launched into a lengthy explanation on how this particular bit of his Phantom Thievery repertoire worked he failed to notice the slowly growing smirk on the Monkey King's face.
~
"What, uh... what ya got there?" MK asked, very obviously trying to keep an impassive and non-judgemental expression. And failing.
"... smoothies," Wukong answered, absolutely not hiding what he was holding in his tail behind his back as he offered one of the two drinks in his hands to the younger.
It was a poor attempt at lying, which was odd because MK knew that Sun Wukong was pretty good at lying. He had managed to convince the other that he had no idea his successor was a phantom thief for so long after all. But why in the world he seemed to be hiding a... pillow of some sort behind his back was anyone's guess.
"Why'd you bring smoothies?" He chanced asking instead, and he watched as the other's face lit up in pure victory and jubilation.
"They're victory smoothies, Bud!" Wukong exclaimed, shoving one at MK until he took it from the other. "I just completed my first successful heist! And I did pretty well, if I do say so myself." The Monkey King smirked, puffing out his chest in a show of confidence as he took a sip of what was obviously a peach smoothie. "Oh yeah, tastes like a job well done."
"Really!?" MK exclaimed, his own pride welling up knowing that he had a hand in this since he was the other's mentor in thievery. He'd told the other to start small, something that would be missed but not something that would gather immediate attention from the whole city just in case something went wrong. "That's great! What did you steal?"
"I'm not telling."
This made the younger pause, raising a brow as the elder not so subtly tossed the pillow into a nearby bush.
"... should I be concerned?" MK asked, knowing that with Wukong's reputation... he may have bitten off far more than he could chew. This was the immortal who went on a spree through Heaven that ended up with him eating a ton of immortality peaches, drinking immortality alcohol, and taking immortality pills. Among other things.
"No way!" Wukong assured, chugging more and more of his smoothie with seemingly no regard for the possibility of brain freeze. "Trust me, bud, this went off without a hitch. You have nothing to worry about."
~
Those words came back to to bite Sun Wukong in the ass.
Or, rather, they came back to throw Sun Wukong through MK's window at "way too early for this o'clock" in the morning right after he had finished sleepily getting ready for another day at work and accidentally nodded back off on his bed.
The weight of an immortal stone monkey slamming into you was much more effective than any alarm clock he'd ever used before.
"WHATWHOWHERE!?" MK wheezed out once the Monkey King climbed off him, looking around in confusion until his eyes finally fell on a third party in the room. "M-Macaque!?"
"Where's my couch you wanna be Phantom Thief!?" Macaque yelled, completely ignoring the person who's house he had just inadvertently broken into. He brushed bits and pieces of broken glass and window frame out of his fur with a scowl of anger. "I actually paid for that."
"You really think I would tell you where I stashed it?" Wukong snarked back, smirking wide as he crossed his arms. "A Phantom Thief never reveals the location of their treasure trove to their marks."
"Wait wait wait-" MK said, holding up his hands and finally grabbing the attention of the two fighting immortal monkeys. "You just crashed through my window... because... You were his first heist mark... and Monkey King's first successful heist was your couch?"
"Got it in one, Bud!" Wukong said with a laugh, not seeming to care that Macaque was slowly stewing in more and more anger and frustration. "I wouldn't have even been noticed if he hadn't come home part way through either, he's normally out later than that."
"You sent me a calling card you dumb ass!" Macaque yelled, falling into a fighting stance. "Just because you got lucky enough to get away last time-"
"You call this luck?" Wukong yelled back with a laugh, smirking as he pulled something out of his sleeve and tossed it at Macaque. "No, this is all skill!"
MK barely had time to register what happened before Wukong grabbed him and covered his eyes and a tiny explosion and a pained yelp sounded behind them as they jumped out his broken window.
"SUN WUKONG YOU GET BACK HERE BEFORE I CAN SEE AGAIN OR ELSE!" Macaque yelled, right before another pained yelp was heard. "Holy shit, Kid, why do you have so much stuff on your floor, who lives like this, I can't even WALK in here!"
MK never got to answer or be offended at the immortal before he was tossed over Wukong's shoulder as he made a break for it running through alleyways at breakneck speed before Pigsy's Noodles was no longer even in sight.
They stopped eventually, the immortal monkey putting MK down before looking around to make sure they hadn't been tailed by the other immortal. After a couple minutes it was clear that Macaque had either not followed him due to the blinding effects of the flash paper or had not been able to catch their trail. The two of them each breathed a sigh or relief, looked at each other...
And immediately burst into laughter.
They couldn't help it! It was just... so ridiculous! All that over a heisted couch. Pigsy was sure to be upset at the damage to MK's apartment but given Mystic Monkey Business and all he was certain that the fact it was only a broken window this time would be a decent balm on the damage.
"Macaque is going to get you back for this," MK managed to get out through laughs. "We lost him and now he's going to find another way to get you back, I know it."
"What's he gonna do, steal my couch?"
~
"HE STOLE. MY COUCH."
"How'd he even get to the mountain?"
"HE. STOLE. MY. COUCH!"
"I think you're missing the bigger issue he-"
"HESTOLEMYCOUCH!"
"I KNOW STOP YELLING!"
MK slapped a hand over Wukong's mouth, only barely cutting off and muffling the scream of disbelief and frustration that the Monkey King let out at the state of things.
"Why are you focused on the fact that Macaque stole your couch and not the fact that he somehow got into the part of Mount Huaguo that we have to let someone into, BROKE INTO YOUR HOUSE. and for some reason he ONLY stole your couch?"
"Oh, he's broken in before," Wukong answered once he pried MK's hand away from his face. "But I can't believe that asshole! I stole his couch as a joke, stealing mine back is just petty."
"What do you mean he's broken in before?" MK continued, voice tense and high and totally not at all feeling suddenly very anxious about this new knowledge. "Macaque's just been able to come and go as he pleases this whole time?"
"Yeah, kinda. Not exactly as he pleases but he can just come in I guess."
"These are the kinds of things you need to tell your student- I thought we talked about proper communication as one of our first lessons!"
"... oops?"
~
"When did you get a new couch?" Red Son asked with a raised brow, watching as the immortal monkey lounging on it swished his tail back and forth in contentment.
"Heisted it," Macaque answered with a smirk. "Totally worth it. But next time I'm stealing Peach's tv too, this is so comfy I could use some proper entertainment."
"YOU STOLE SUN WUKONG'S COUCH???"

I don't know if you're up for it, but how about 148 with Freenoodleshipping being dads to the Traffic Light Trio?
WOOO! I’m up for it! Let’s do this!
148. “Is this really the time for jokes?” “You always do this.” “Wake me up when it’s over.” “You look happy.” “I’m sorry, do I know you?” “Why can’t I get you out of my head?”
—————————-
Pigsy was infuriated, his kids were hurt, little injuries littered their bodies. The pig clenched his fist, he looked towards Tang, silently telling him to get the kids out of the way so he could transform. Tang nodded and quickly moved the kids out of the way, their eyebrows raised.
Pigsy transformed into his huge demon form snarling and attacking the demon that threatened his kids. The kids stared at him in awe, they had never seen this form before but for Red, there was something familiar about it, it was his first time seeing it but he felt as if he should recognize it. He brushed it off and just watched as Pigsy continued to battle the other demon until they retreated.
Pigsy was breathing heavily, his knuckles white as he gripped his rake. His eyes followed the direction of the demon as they ran. He snarled, he looked almost terrifying and beads of sweat were dripping from the kids’ face. Tang narrowed his eyes at the pig. “Pigsy!” He called.
The pig turned towards him, still angry, his husband gestured for him to calm down. The demon breathed in and out slowly, he shifted back to his normal form. He rushed towards the group with Tang meeting him halfway. Tang held Pigsy’s face in his hands. “Are the kids okay?!” Pigsy shouted.
“They’re fine, Pigsy.” He waved towards the kids. “They’re fine,” he repeated.
“Are ya okay?!”
“I’m okay, Pigsy. Although, I would be better with some noodles.”
Pigsy huffed and crossed his arms. “Is this really the time for jokes?”
“I told you I’m okay. Come on.” He nudged him towards the kids, Pigsy ran towards them.
“Qi Xiaotian! Long Xiajiao! Red Son! Are ya all okay?”
MK replied, “Yes, papa! I’m fine! Wow! I didn’t know you could do that!” His eyes sparkled.
“I’m okay but Piggy, what was that?”
“I would like to know as well, Mr. Pigsy.”
Pigsy sighed. “I’ll tell ya inside. Let’s go.” He motioned for them to follow him inside. They all complied with Tang being the last one to enter the noodle shop.
The dads got the first aid kit and began bandaging their kids. Tang had a cotton swab and was tapping it lightly on Red’s wound, the demon hissed in pain. “Stay still, Red.”
“Sorry, Mr. Tang.”
“It’s fine. I’ll try and be careful.” He continued to bandage Red’s wounds, trying to be as gentle as possible.
It took a few minutes until they managed to patch up all their injuries. Tang and Pigsy stood side by side as they glanced at their kids, they winced at the patched up injuries, they absolutely hated seeing their kids hurt.
Pigsy growled, “Kids…” The kids froze, staring up at their dad in anticipation. He sighed and rubbed his face. “You always do this. Ya have to be careful, ya can’t just rush into danger like that. Ya could get hurt and ya already did!!”
The three frowned. “Sorry…” they apologized in unison. The pig sighed again and shook his head. He got three bowls and poured soup into them, handing a bowl to each of the kids. They took it and began eating.
“Please be careful next time,” Tang begged.
“Sorry, bába…” MK replied.
Tang ruffled his hair and kissed his forehead. “It’s okay but please be careful next time. We can’t risk something happening to you, mystical monkey powers or not.” He turned to Red and Mei. “Same goes for you two. We know you’re capable but we don’t want anything happening to you.”
Red spoke up, “S-sorry, Mr. Tang… I am not used to having someone care about me… so I rushed into danger.”
The scholar’s lips formed into a frown. “Well you have us now. We care about you and we don’t want you to throw yourself in danger.”
The demon nodded. “O-okay…”
“That being said, I am proud that you three were able to handle the situation.”
Pigsy nodded in agreement. “Good job, kids but again, don’t jump into danger next time like that.”
The three nodded. “Now, papa, what was that form about? It was so cool!” MK’s eyes sparkled.
“Just a form I have. First time I’ve used it in years.”
Red titled his head. “I feel as if I should recognize that form.” At his words, Pigsy choked on air while Tang smirked and nudged his husband, the pig glared at him in response. “Did I say something wrong?”
“No, not at all, kid. It’s nothin’.”
“Why haven’t you used it in awhile, Piggy?” Mei asked.
Pigsy shrugged. “Never had a reason to use it until now. Last time I used it was way long ago.”
“Too long if you ask me,” Tang joked. His husband smiled and rolled his eyes in response.
“You would say that.”
“Well I think it makes you even more handsome. I haven’t seen that form since… you know.” Since Pigsy went by Zhu Bajie, he wanted to say but they decided not to reveal their identities just yet especially since they had only recently adopted Red. It was a bad idea to tell him that the pig and scholar that had just adopted him were Zhu Bajie and Tripitaka, they would tell them eventually.
“Yea, that was a long time ago.”
“Hm? Is there something you know that we don’t?” Red asked.
“Don’t worry about it. Now eat, ya look skinny. Ya all can do whatever after ya finished.”
Red complied and continued eating. The two adults took a few minutes by themselves to chat while watching their kids playfully banter. Mei placed a bowl in front of the counter suddenly.
The chef raised an eyebrow. “Ya done, Mei?”
“Yep!” She gestured to the table. “They won’t stop flirting. I’m going to MK’s room to take a nap. Wake me up when it’s over!”
The couple let out a laugh as they glanced at Red Son and MK, both were extremely red. Tang commented, “Let them have their fun. It’s rather cute.”
“Yea, it is,” the chef said and wrapped an arm around his husband’s waist.
Mei waved an arm. “Yea, I know. They’re so oblivious, it’s painful.”
Pigsy chuckled. “Your bába and I used to be the same way.”
“We sure did. It took us too long to notice.”
“How did you finally realize?”
“Well… someone helped and interfered…”
“Oh! So I just push them into a closet then?”
Tang shouted, “No! Don’t do that!”
“Awwww, why not?”
“Let them realize their feelings in their own time.”
“Bába, I’m going to be waiting a million years if that’s the case.”
The pig shook his head. “He’s right, y’know. They’ll realize eventually.”
Their daughter pouted. “Okay… but if they don’t get their act together soon, I’m pushing them in a closet.”
The couple laughed. Tang said, “Of course you are, just be patient.” He brushed a piece of hair away from Mei’s face.
Mei groaned. “Fine.” She kissed both of her dads’ cheeks. “I’m going to take my nap now.”
“Okay, dear. Have a nice nap.”
“Bye, kid.” Mei waved and left the shop to go upstairs to MK’s room.
Tang muttered, “I am so glad Wukong never pushed us into any closets.”
“Probably cause there weren’t even closets around. He definitely thought about it though.”
“Definitely. Although I wouldn’t mind if he did.” He ran hand against the pig’s cheek, he purred in response.
The pig playfully shoved him and looked away. “I’m sorry, do I know you?”
Tang gasped. “Rude! You wouldn’t mind it either!”
“I definitely wouldn’t.” He winked. “Love ya.”
“Love you too.” He leaned against him.
MK placed his bowl on top of Mei’s. “I’m done! I’m going to play videos games in my room!”
“Okay, kid. Have fun.”
“See you bába! See you papa!”
They nodded at their son and MK sent one glance at them and Red before he left. Red smiled as the noodle boy left and ran a finger against his half finished bowl. Pigsy could tell there was something on the kid’s mind, Tang was way better with words than he was.
“I’m gonna do the dishes, Tang.”
“Alright.” He kissed the pig’s cheek. The pig grabbed the bowl and walked towards the other side of the counter while Tang strolled towards Red and sat down next to him. “You look happy,” he stated.
“Hm?” He smiled turned into a frown. “Yea… so-sorry.”
Tang tilted his head. “Never say sorry for being happy. I think it’s nice to see you smile.”
“Th-thanks. The Noodle Boy, he-”
“You like him?”
Red shook his head up and down hesitantly. “Ye-yes…”
The scholar cooed. “That’s fantastic. You two would be good for eachother.”
“T-thanks… I don’t know. I don’t know if he likes me.”
“He does. From personal experience, he does. I know Xiaotian and I know that in these matters, he does like you.”
“Personal experience? Like from Mr. Pigsy?”
“Yep. Back then I never wanted to believe the signs that Pigsy liked me, now that I look back, it is as clear as day. I used to think ‘Why can’t I get you out of my head?’” when I looked at him. It was like that all the time. Xiaotian does like you.”
“I- I hope so. I don’t get why though…”
“Why wouldn’t he? You’re a good kid, Red.”
“Really? After all I’ve done…”
Tang paused and nodded, despite the demon kidnapping back in the past and other things, he couldn’t hold a grudge against the boy, all he wanted was the approval of his parents and Tang knew he and Pigsy would be able to steer him in the right direction. Plus Tang wouldn’t be Tang if he didn’t give a demon a second chance. “Yes, I do. You’re trying your best and you have changed. I am extremely proud of you for trying to change.”
Tang could Red Son hold back tears. “Thank you, Mr. Tang. Thank you for taking me in.”
“Of course. Now eat, Pigsy might think you don’t like his cooking.”
“O-okay.” Red finished seconds later and moved to wash the bowl, Pigsy grabbed his arm.
“I’ll take care of that, kid.” He took the bowl from the other demon’s arms and began to clean it.
“You sure?”
“I’m sure. Ya go have fun with the other two.”
“Th-thank you…”
“Mhmm…”
Red shyly waved at them and left. Tang sat in his stool and stated, “You know when we on the journey I didn’t think years later we would be having kids.”
“Ha! When we started the whole thing I didn’t expect us to get together at all.”
“I know right! I’m glad we did though. Really glad.”
Pigsy smiled. “Me too. I love you.”
He kissed Pigsy on the lips. He whispered, “I love you, Bajie.”
“Love you too, Tripitaka.” They were about to kiss again when they heard crashing come from upstairs. The pig sighed. “What are they doin’ up there?”
“I don’t know. We should check on them.”
“Like we can never get a moment alone around here.”
Tang chuckled and wrapped an arm around his husband. “Part of having children. Let’s go see what they’re up to.” He guided his husband toward the door, they thought about the happy life they built up and went to see their kids, smiling all the way.

14. With a possessed monkie kid? (Doesn't have to be my au, i just crave possession stuff rn fbsbfb)
Oh you gave me so much power. I have too much power. I had to write this ASAP before Friday, I did not want the idea I had to be tempered by what happens in the finale. Since this is supposed to be set a couple weeks after what could possibly happen. Spoilers if you haven’t read the summary for S2E10.
This may not be in your Possession AU, but it takes a little inspiration from it because I love it!
Warning: vaguely described injuries, blood. Reminder that I think Macaque can be severely hurt but is immortal to the point he can heal any injury.
Am I scaring you?
“Hey- don’t scream it’s just me- You guys seen MK around?”
Despite Macaque’s request, Pigsy and Tang continued to scream. It wasn’t surprising, really. It wasn’t every day that an enemy your friend/person you see as a son just revealed to you a couple weeks earlier had attacked him twice in ways that had left him pretty messed up and questioning his choices and abilities just pops their body from the shoulders up out of the shadows on your wall without warning. Doubly so when very shortly after learning all this that person does a heel face turn and joins your side without technically joining it against everyone’s will and is still kind of an asshole.
The immortal monkey needed to work on that last bit. Maybe he could upgrade from “asshole” to “jerk face” in the eyes of Team MK if he brought drinks. He didn’t really care though, he just wanted to make his own life easier. At least Wukong had been... somewhat open to letting him stick around, given MK convinced them to talk when they were too exhausted after the giant mech battle to actually fight each other, and that made their joint training sessions with MK much easier. That still took getting used to.
"Has MK been acting... off to you lately?" Macaque asked after Tang and Pigsy stopped screaming and levied him with unhappy glowers at the intrusion. One more note to add on the ‘things he should probably stop doing if people want to not hate him’ list, announcing himself better. "I know I'm kinda knew to this whole ‘technically not being a bad guy and caring a bit about other people’ thing and all but he seems..."
‘Not being a bad guy’. Nailed it.
"Dead inside?" Tang deadpanned. "Yeah, we kinda noticed."
“A little more blunt than I was gonna put it but yeah,” Macaque stepped out of the shadows fully, rubbing the back of his head awkwardly as Pigsy grabbed a wooden spoon and held it. A warning that he would not hesitate to chuck it at him at the first excuse he needed. “He’s been acting odd around both me and Wukong. Which, you know, given everything that happened I get it, but he hasn’t come to his last three training sessions at all.”
This, unlike everything else he had said, seemed to make the two men pause.
“What do you mean?” Tang asked, pushing his glasses up and looking at him oddly. “He’s been leaving for those on time like normal.”
“Ah, well, you see,” Macaque chose his next few words carefully. Being honest, truly honest without theatrics or planning in advance to help him, was a new undertaking for him so he stumbled through it. “The first time it happened Wukong astral projected to him and they talked and he seemed ok enough, like he just needed a break. The next time it happened I kinda... followed him? Just to make sure he was ok, no evil shadow business! He just kinda wandered downtown the entire time, looking like he was lost without being lost. If that makes sense. But yesterday he did the same thing so I did the same thing and I found him just kinda... sitting in front of the entrance to DBK’s old hideout?”
Instead of making the two men more concerned, this seemed to make them both deflate.
“Yeah...” Pigsy said softly, lowering the spoon just a bit. “He’s been doing that. We, uh... we had Mei follow him a couple times on deliveries because he was acting off. He did the sitting thing a few days ago too, just while he was on break or if he finished his deliveries early. He’s been doing that a lot lately, like he wants to get things done fast so he can do whatever he’s doing.”
“But he isn’t even doing anything!” Tang said, gripping his hair with one hand. “It’s like he’s just... sitting? Like he just wants to be alone maybe? Sandy’s been talking to him, trying to help him with the cats and everything, but he thinks he needs to see his therapist instead... I think he’s right.”
Macaque frowned for a second before forcing a wide smile on his face. “I thought so. I think Sandy may have the right idea too, you should talk to him. OK BYE-E!”
Before the two men could react he fell backward into the shadows and dissipated. He had somewhere to be.
~
Just sitting... no. Macaque was sure of it now as he watched MK sitting in front of the hole that still had not been filled since DBK had left the Flaming Foundry, cloaked in shadow behind littered debris. His conversation with the Monkie Kid’s elders confirmed the immortal’s suspicions.
MK was waiting for something.
And that meant something was deeply wrong.
He hadn’t lied to the duo in the noodle shop, but he hadn’t told them the full truth either. Macaque had been following MK for the last week, already knew about Mei himself, partly out of curiosity at first but also out of Wukong’s own insistence. He was worried for his successor and knew that Macaque could keep a quieter eye on him than he ever could, and Wukong... Wukong and MK, despite their renewed training, were not on the best of terms right then. Not after he learned what the vacation really was, not after he learned that his mentor knew about the White Bone Spirit the entire time. They were still close! Closer than MK was to Macaque when he trained him at least, just. Strained.
Watching his two teachers finally talk for once and work out what actually happened all those centuries ago, showing that Wukong wasn’t just an unflappable hero but a person who made mistakes and had worked to better himself and would continue to do so because he was a person, probably softened that a bit. He was still upset but much less so in the week after the defeat... but this last week it was like all that had been undone too quickly. It started slowly, but after four days it was like they were back to the day he learned the truth but so much worse.
For the last three days MK was so quiet, reserved, completely unlike the loud and excited guy Macaque knew and like he just wanted to be left alone to sit and not interact with anyone. Tang said he was acting like he was “dead inside”.
That... wasn’t an entirely incorrect descriptor. It was like he was hollow and just going about the motions. Or like he had closed off everything inside of himself for some reason.
Wukong was terrified. He’d been talking to MK every day he didn’t come to the island to train via astral projection, and Macaque had just watched another conversation between the two end half an hour earlier. Macaque tried the same thing but didn’t get nearly as far as Wukong had been, and talking to him like this seemed to make him less likely to just up and leave (the few times Wukong had just come to MK instead made it clear how uncomfortable he had been, ending the conversations with a quick jump from the staff before Wukong could convince him to stay, so they decided to go with what made him more comfortable to find out what was happening).
So that was how they operated. Macaque watched MK. Made sure he was at least physically ok. Wukong talked to MK, didn’t force him to come to the island and wouldn’t show up unannounced. But despite them communicating more than they ever had it was like he was telling Wukong less than he ever had before. The one thing they didn’t tell him was what Macaque was doing.
“Am I scaring you?” MK suddenly said, loud enough for only Macaque to hear. His tone was... wrong. “You’re not nearly as sneaky as you think you are, Six-Ear.”
“What?” Macaque shot up and out of the shadows, eyes wide. MK had never called him that before.
The man before him stood, back to him and headband and coat oddly still in the blowing wind.
And then he jumped.
“MK!” Macaque reacted without thinking, diving down the hole after his Wukong’s student. He knew that he would be just fine, he could handle being thrown into a mountain so he could handle jumping down a giant hole, but the sight was too sudden and horrific for him to remember that at the moment.
Except he wasn’t there. When Macaque landed, the crash of his boots hitting the rocky ground echoing through the artificial cavern, he was alone.
Something was even more deeply wrong than he could have ever imagined.
“MK! Kid! Kiddo!?” He called out, all six of his ears out to catch any hint of movement. “Come on, you told me off for calling you Kiddo just last week, get angry at me so I know you’re ok! Tell me you’re a Monkey Man or something!” Macaque tried to keep his tone light, words lighter with an awkward laugh at the end of his sentences, but it only served to make the sinking feeling in his stomach worse. The opposite effect he wanted to accomplish. “Say something damn it!”
Silence. Everything was... silent. The only thing Macaque could hear was his own breathing, his own heartbeat, the rushing of blood in his ears... but nothing else.
Then a laugh. Low and soft and wrong and Macaque’s eyes widened as he realized his mistake.
He knew that laugh.
He also knew the feeling of the staff. He felt it during their first battle, when MK pulled every ounce of lingering power to defeat him. He felt it during that climactic encounter with Wukong, when his eye was damaged beyond repair.
He felt it now, as it jutted through his stomach without warning. Covered in blood.
Huh... that was kind of new, actually. He hadn’t felt a new sensation like that in so long.
The staff was pulled back and out of him quickly, driving him to his feet as he held the new wound and listened and nearly imperceptible footsteps made their way around him. How had he not heard... no. No he knew now. Now it was obvious what had happened.
Why did his wound burn like that? Why couldn’t he stand? He should be able to move, he wasn’t this weak!
“He beat you,” He groaned out, coughing as he tried to stay upright on his knees. “You should be-”
“Dead?” MK asked, voice his own but tone completely different. The black on his shoes were blue. As Macaque looked up he could see most of the color on his outfit had faded to white with blue accents. His eyes, the only think about him physically to be different, a brilliant blue to match. His headband was gone from around his head, instead used to help slick his hair back and out of his face. “How can you kill what already isn’t alive? No, I just waited in this body until I was able to influence him enough to make him... compliant. Much easier that way, actually.”
Either his vision went fuzzy or the world around them did, MK moving closer at a speed that shouldn’t be possible. His hands were grasping Macaque’s scarf tightly... this felt far too familiar.
“If you had been the dragon girl or anyone else I might have just killed you, you know,” MK’s voice said as he tilted his head to the side, an almost playful smile on his face. “But this is much more fun, and preferable. You can relay the message for me, once the poison I coated the staff in wears off and you heal anyway.”
Macaque was dropped unceremoniously onto his back, letting out an agonized yelp as he hit the ground. MK stomped on his wound, earning another scream.
“By then myself and this body will be long gone,” MK chuckled, stepping over Macaque completely to walk further into the foundry. “I must thank you, you played into my hands so much better than I ever planned on. Getting you all to work together to ‘beat me’ was just far too easy.” He stopped, turning to smirk at the immortal shuddering on the ground.
“I haven’t had a body this powerful in centuries,” the White Bone Spirit said with a laugh before vanishing in a fuzz of his vision and a wisp of cold air.

32 for spicynoodleshipping, please, because I would really like to hear more about their daughter
32 First Time Parents
So halfway through thinking about what to do to fill this out I had an idea and ran with it and it got out of hand? Not entirely sure if it fits the bill but I liked writing it (and now I kinda want to think this out a bit more as it’s own little thing). I'm also basing how Wukong acts here on how good he seems to be with kids in the 1996 adaptation of JTTW.
----------
The old "shame temple" was looking better than ever, but more importantly Sun Wukong's face was filled with more awe than MK had ever seen on anyone before. He held the ties on his cape in his hands, tail swishing wildly behind him as he was clearly trying to keep in his excited energy. "Can I hold her?"
"Of course you can." MK smiled wide as Red Son held out their daughter for the Monkey King to take.
With care and gentleness Wukong took the babe into his arms and cradled her to his chest, smile small and tail calming down as the excited energy immediately dissipated into a calm joy. "Heeeey, oh hello little Xiaodan. It's nice to finally meet you." He gently swayed from side to side, tail coming around to swish lazily in front of her face.
"I cannot believe this is the Monkey King," Red Son said, putting his arm around MK. "Are you sure you're ok being without her for a while? I know it's only for a couple hours but..." Despite Red asking this of MK, the look on his face told the other man that the fiery demon was just as (if not even more) anxious about not being around their daughter. It was hard, wanting to constantly be with their child, but they needed time to themselves eventually and Wukong had been patiently (if slightly persistently via emails) waiting to finally meet his granddaughter since his return from some Mystic Monkey Business he could not get out of.
And MK thought he might have been lonely since Macaque had left for his own Mystic Monkey Business and had been gone for almost a year. They’d received a few messages, far and few between, but they knew he was due to come back soon.
"I'm sure. I trust Monkey King with our lives so I think I should be able to trust him with this." Grabbing his husband's hand, he waved at the king and baby. "We'll be back immediately after dinner, dad."
"Okaaaaaay," Wukong replied in a soft voice, holding out one finger for Xiaodan to grab and hold.
"OK, yeah, you’re right MK. I think they're going to be just fine."
---2 Hours Later---
Full of delicious food and a desire to retrieve their daughter, Red Son and MK made their way back to the temple under the moonlight. Everything tonight had gone amazingly. The food was great, no attacks, and Wukong had only messaged them to tell them how Xiaodan was doing (apparently she was very happy). And everything would have continued to go amazingly... had they not noticed the madly pacing form of another darker furred monkey outside the entrance to the temple.
"UH... Macaque?" MK looked on in confusion. "When did you get back from your tri-"
"MK!" Macaque rushed forward, grabbing the shorter man by the shoulders, eyes wide and confused and hair wild from where he had pulled it. He looked franticly between the husbands. "WHY DOES WUKONG HAVE A BABY?"
Oh. OOOOOH. MK knew there was something they forgot to do... months ago...
Red Son grabbed Macaque's hands and less than gently removed them from MK's shoulders. "That would be our daughter Xiaodan."
"Your DAUGHTER? When did- you both -I -BABY!?"
Wukong watched this from the doorway, clearing his throat as Xiaodan happily chewed on a little peach toy in his arms. "Congratulations Macaque, you're a grandpa."
