Baby girl you can't even get a majority of third party/independents in a single state legislature. In the past 30 years there have been seven independent/third party state governors, and of those, only three were genuinely independent. The rest either got elected as a R/D and switched mid-term when they alienated themselves from their state party, got elected as I and then switched to R/D during their terms (with some of them having served the R/D parties before), or served as proxy candidates with heavy backing and support from one of the major two parties. Even VERMONT, a relative stronghold for independent/third party candidates -- the place that brought you Bernie Sanders -- doesn't have a majority of third party candidates. And when I call them a stronghold, I mean they are the only state (I know of) that consistently elects (less than a handful of) Independent candidates to the state legislature; the place is still dominated by Ds and Rs.

I was sick and watched like 2 seasons of this and then thought it was too #uninteresting and obnoxious to continue (more like 1 and a half since I skipped the rest of one once only boring people were left) BUT this #one guy had a very mischevious looking face and he also said a few things (like the above captioned speech) that sounded like dialogue #some fantasy character would say.. so I took a screencap of him and edited him into a mischevious wizard i guess.?? idk I was sick lol #~your little friend has a poisoned tongue~ is just a very unexpectedly serious sounding wording for some random normal #frat dude looking guy to say while casually chatting on a reality tv show in like 2008 or whenever that was filmed lol #5. FLUFFY CLOVERS!! I'd never seen them be furry and soft before?? inchresting..#6. Noodle sitting in bed with the cat figurines looming above him... the council of kittys...#7. McDonald's full breakfast platter + asparagus + strawberries & cream (also of course this is old and I am now boycotting mcdonalds etc)#i try to group the images somewhat consistently like.. winter stuff with winter stuff or summer stuff with summer stuff #but I have so many random pictrues floating around on my computer that I never post that sometimes some are not organized or just #thrown into a set because there's nowhere else for them. my phone has this funny little bug where sometimes it just wont send me text notifications until like 5-15 minutes later. which in itself is already annoying but it has a knack of consistently doing it every single time for “do you want food? answer now or we’re not getting anything” texts and every time i want to throw it at a wall

#like i am ON my phone it is in my hands i am currently using it #it’s not that i miss the notif it just shows up 15 minutes late like it just arrived #it’s pretty sporadic and most of the time it either doesnt matter ot affect any convo #but EVERY time someone asks if i want food while i’m actively starving #EVERYTIME it’s delayed. i’m gonna break this phone in half one day

I find Fringe and Lucifer so similar in its backbones and some episodes also... like the one where its "vintage theme" and daughter from the future finale...

I mean I already wrote a Warehouse 13 one-shot where Helena watched Fringe and related a little too hard to Walter since they both lost children and nearly destroyed themselves/the world trying to get them back.

And now Lucifer? THE SHOW THAT'S LITERALLY BUILT AROUND DADDY ISSUES????? Yeah, there's parallels. There's parallels up the freaking wazoo! Tumultuous father/son relationship? CHECK! Walter experimenting on Olivia when she was a child? Yeah, not like God literally ensured Chloe would be born. And then you bring in Etta and Rory, and it's like "oh you met your child as an adult after missing most/all of their life? Same, buddy! Same!" Good shit. Good shit.

It's the Etta stuff that made me pull Fringe into my fic. I'm using other parallels because a) they fit and b) I want Fringe to be a consistent running theme in the background so the Etta parallels aren't out of left field. But paralleling Peter/Olivia losing Etta to Lucifer/Chloe saying goodbye to Rory is my ultimate goal. The GRIEF of losing your child! The sheer relief when you get her back! (or relief for the viewer in Fringe's case since Peter and Olivia never knew there was a timeline where they lost Etta). I just... *screams incoherently*

TLDR: If your show has parent/child themes of any kind, then Fringe has parallels for it. Fact.
