This is the point where I'm actually truly disappointed at Taylor.
Posting a small note on her stories without even mentioning Ana Clara's name is a choice, quite possibly one made not only by her. It hurts to see the distance that is being put between Taylor and Ana, but I can understand that this is a PR decision that goes beyond just her (even if, being honest, I think it's very wrong and cold and, at this point in Taylor's career, unnecessary).
Like everyone, I got emotional watching her singing Bigger Than The Whole Sky, seeing how emotional she was herself, seeing that the whole crowd was meaning every word while singing it with her.
But at the same time, we were first hearing the news that Ana's family isn't getting any support, not from the venue, not from the company and not from Taylor's team and this made the entire thing hollow. Because how can you spend you whole career preaching about the collaboration between your fans and still turn the blind eye when something like this happens?
Even if she still wanted to keep distance from that tragedy, something that I'd never think she should do, but that I could try to understand and see the reasons, she has all the means in the world to help. At this point, her word is worth a lot, even more when it comes to a fan in her concert. If she didn't want her name being associated further with this, an anonymous donation would be more than enough. Actually, it was the bare minimum we all not only hoped, but thought was already happening.
Distancing herself from this goes directly against everything Taylor went for her whole career and it's really really painful to see that the care she has for us has limits she could surpass with very little effort.
We are joining to help Ana's family, organizing a fundraiser to pay for everything they need, because once more, the fans have to do what people that SHOULD be doing things aren't moving. And we are still trying to get Taylor's team attention because if they can listen to the fans asking to turn off the pyrotechnics for Bad Blood, they can listen when we ask help to allow a family to have at least a bit of dignity when grieving a tragedy like this.
I hope Taylor can change my mind and we have some help from her team, better late than never, but until then,

And by the way, in no way I mean this as a way to blame Taylor Swift or her team when the true people to blame is T4F. I want this company to rot and declare bankruptcy before the year ends for all they are making us go though from beginning to end of this experience. connie would go with maria to get pictures of flowers, they would pack a picnic for lunch and just find a nice field somewhere to sit and enjoy the quiet together.
connie being used to maria exploring alone, so her solo road trip isn't a surprise - but when the post cards and pressed flowers inside letters stop showing up at the dorm, she can't help but feel like something is really wrong.
julie being connie's first real girl crush when they meet at college, but she can see how julie looks at danny, and thats okay. maria heading out with her camera one afternoon and running into connie - maria asking her if she would like to tag along.
the two spending time together, connie confiding in maria about her parents and how she doesn't feel like the farm is actually her home. maria telling connie about her father - how he got sick, how she and her younger sister took care of her mother.
connie helping her press flowers into photo albums, sitting with maria as she worked on her art projects. maria cooking meals for connie during finals as she knows connie barely leaves the library and frequently forgets to eat when studying.
connie feeling the knot in her stomach tighten when ana shows up to the school with fliers, looking for her sister. immediately she offers her help and helps ana rally up the rest of their friends with julie and danny.
them finding maria, and connie feeling like a part of her has been taken away. a hollow feeling inside that she spends years and years trying to fill. they were never together officially, but maria was so special to her.
i just love connie's intricate relationships w her friends, they bring out the best in her and help her be more vulnerable <3

@faithfromanewperspective sorry for replying to this in a new post the op blocked me lol 🥴 (which?? idc if you block me but it's weird given the situation like all I did was add other easily provable facts. I'm all for holding Taylor accountable for her actions but misinformation/misconstruing a narrative is equally not helpful) the post had weird vibes too like "Taylor is the Empress" thing. she is quite powerful but even she is still constricted by her contracts with the venues?? idk idk. anyway yeah laws definitely need to change surrounding concerts & events (like the very widespread "no water" rules) especially with climate change but even then. it's water.
#like the timing was definitely not great but it's not only a Brazil problem either#she's coming to Canada this time next year and we have the opposite problem like it can get COLD in November#and some of her next dates are in Australia! also in summer!#it's poor planning all around and it could have happened anywhere#hopefully something does change from this because no one else should have to die a preventable death </3#I can't really talk about Taylor's actions afterwards because I haven't kept as up to date on them but I do have my criticisms#like she really should have helped the family more financially (including transporting Ana's body home)#but idk if there were other factors preventing her or what#bella talks

So according to WaPo it's now confirmed that Taylor paid the family and invited them to talk face to face (maybe they're considering a lawsuit against the venue?). I hope people can shut the fuck up about how evil and heartless she is now, imagine jumping to conclusions just because there wasn't an immediate confirmation of her contacting them.
Yeah no surprise there, I never doubted that she would do what's right. Hope people can now rediscover their moral compasses and stop acting so fucking excited over an actual person's death just bc it means they have another reason to hate Taylor. It hasnt hit me yet that I'm seeing taylor swift tomorrow. I've been waiting and preparing for this moment for the past 4 months and of course I'm excited, but idk why i'm fine. I'm not freaking out which is weird because when I went to NCTs concert in January I was shaking the day before and I cried walking into the venue
