Walking through the streets of Pelourinho, it is very common to hear the sound of drums. There are many drum schools in Salvador, the most famous of which is Olodum. Olodum is an Afro-Brazilian drum school, which was founded on April 25 in 1979. Because of their history, they have even guaranteed a place during the carnival. It is interesting to note that they were the ones who played and performed in Michael Jackson's "They Don't Care About Us". If you are lucky, you can see them performing in one of the squares of Pelourinho.

Monte Serrat (pt.2) The view during good weather is amazing, from the mountains and rivers to the north to the ocean to the south. The observation decks offer a breathtaking 360-degree view of the city of Santos, but you can also see parts of the municipalities of São Vicente, Cubatão and Guarujá. The chapel of Nossa Senhora do Monte Serrat, was built in 1599, by order of the governor Dom Francisco de Souza, a Spaniard devoted to the saints patroness of Barcelona. History records that, in 1614, when the Dutch corsair Joris von Spilbergen invaded the village, part of the population fled to the hill. When the corsairs tried to pursue them, they were buried by earth and rocks that had fallen from the mountain.
