Brazilian Gold: 1981 Honda CB900F Bol d’Or from @fastolpho of @oldtopsgarage: “The whole concept came from the racing motorcycles of that time, mainly the superbikes that participated in the AMA races, including Freddie Spencer’s classic Honda, and the European endurance motorcycles.” With thanks to @zmotorcyclesbr, Fred from @atlanticcustomstudio, and @alemaospecialpaint for the metallization paint: “It was initially painted in Cadillac black, varnished, and polished. After that, it went for metallization. When it returned, the appearance was between polished aluminum and chrome. That’s when we applied several layers of blue-tinted varnish in a light gradient from the front to the back.” The nickname “54” has a special Brazilian backstory: “In 1954, Honda participated in its first race outside of Japan. And this race took place at the Interlagos racetrack in São Paulo, Brazil, exactly where I live.” Photos: @fastolpho. Team Yoshimura's rising star, Kevin Schwantz, is retired, because Suzuki wants him to race only in Superbike.
However, his desire to race is great and so he managed to get a Ducati TT1 given by Dale Newton, official Ducati USA driver, so he participated in the BOTT race, unfortunately with little luck, because after a few laps his chain broke, he fell, fracturing his collarbone and risking to be fired from Team Yoshimura.”

No compromises and no catches. This regeneration of a KTM icon will sweep all highway traffic aside. Imagine the ultimate Supermoto ‘play weapon’, combined with a bike that boasts a number of technical features, necessary for extended touring capabilities: you can attack the apex while knowing full well that the bike will take you much further. Essential information: - KTM 890 SMT back in the spotlight with re-tuned KTM 890 LC8c platform, developed to hit marks at the top of the Supermoto touring segment for power/torque-to-weight ratio. - A street focused chassis, adjustable suspension, and premium tyres and brakes elevate this purposeful model between KTM ADVENTURE and KTM STREET product ranges. The perfect foil for both hill passes and the roads that lie thereafter, in equal measure. - The 2023 KTM 890 SMT is relaunched with fanfare and a pulsating ‘hill climb’ concept in the hands of former AMA Superbike and Supermoto racer Chris Fillmore. The only way is up. The racing skills of former AMA Superbike and Supermoto ace Chris Fillmore were an apt conduit to display the potential of the reimagined KTM 890 SMT. The American, and Pikes Peak winner, throttled the Supermoto-tourer along a Sardinian mountain climb to show petrol heads and the motorcycle industry what they had been missing – and what they had been waiting for. Fillmore gassed the super-torquey 889cc LC8c parallel twin and counted on 105 hp at 8,000 rpm. The engine is the same platform behind the enviable stats and output of the KTM 890 ADVENTURE model and its variations: with a 20% increase in rotating mass over the KTM 790 platform, providing stability and reassurance through corners, the knock control and 46 mm dual Dell’Orto throttle bodies guaranteeing optimum momentum, while the fuel consumption from the 15.8 litre tank is fantastically low at 4.6 litres/100 km. The KTM 890 SMT is just as happy pushed through low revs as it is pinned in higher gears - in fact Fillmore used the full range of the KTM 790 DUKE’s motor to ace his second Pikes Peak hill climb record in Colorado back in 2018. The tank itself plays a forceful role in the ergonomics and has been slimmed and designed specifically for the KTM 890 SMT. The form of the tank slides the rider even further ‘into’ the bike with a wide and comfy contact patch, but is still compact enough for free and flowing movement (aided by the single piece Supermoto shaped seat at 860 mm height). The aero-optimised, smoked windshield is placed just above the double fender concept, with a low splash guard on the fork legs. Cruise or attack? You decide. Chassis-wise the KTM 890 SMT has a CroMo steel frame with a tighter geometry that apes the KTM ADVENTURE's stats. The structure is typically light and superbly agile on the move but also ensures fierce stability the faster a rider pushes. The shock absorber is angled further to reduce the seat height and accommodate the longer swingarm, contributing to both a forwardly inclined rider position as well as straight line stability.

Feeling the KTM 890 SMT on the go is an excellent experience: agile and responsive. The WP APEX suspension (43 mm open cartridge upside-down forks with 180 mm of travel, the same as the rear shock) is fully adjustable and complements the 17” wheels. The Michelin PowerGP tyres supply more than enough stick for the slickest tarmac and have been especially selected for their specs and appropriateness for the KTM 890 SMT’s demands. The state of the art 5” TFT dashboard is made from optically bonded mineral glass and is scratch and glare resistant, and fully customisable while divulging the easy-to-use infographic menu system for setup preferences. The bike can be moulded even further. The three standard ride modes (RAIN, STREET, SPORT) can be expanded with an optional TRACK setting, permitting the rider to toggle between different amounts of throttle response and traction control through 10 levels. Cornering Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC) is an important safety feature, sensitive to the bike's pitch and behavior at lean. Try six different handlebar positions with a 30 mm range. The show can slide and be rapidly wrenched to a halt with its potent brakes, consisting of four piston calipers, putting pressure on a 320 mm disc up front, while double piston calipers grip the 260 mm rear. Putting this stopping power into action employs Cornering ABS and Supermoto ABS - placing both technically advanced provisions into the mix for an excellent safety profile. More add-ons available include heated grips and the chance to add Motor Slip Regulation (MSR), ideal for better control in low grip situations and for fast downshifts, to the software package. QUICKSHIFTER+ and Cruise Control are optional and ready to go with a simple activation process at Authorised KTM Dealers. Connectivity with the bike means full access to navigation possibilities and the advantages of the KTMconnect App, including roadside assistance, owner manuals and a digital service booklet for service and maintenance. It would be very modest of us not to mention the looks. The KTM 890 SMT says a lot with its Supermoto-tourer style, from the 17" wheels to its sporty graphics. The SMT cuts a sharp profile and will be impossible to miss, and even harder to outgun, on the road. A Team Hammer csapat leszerződtette Rossi Moor amerikai-magyar motorversenyzőt, hogy a MotoAmerica Twin Cup szériában képviselje a Suzuki gyári csapatát. A két évre szóló szerződés lehetőséget ad Rossinak, hogy szintén a Team Hammer gyári Suzukival 2025-ben a MotoAmerica Supersport kategóriában induljon. A Suzuki Motor USA LLC a Team Hammer csapattal van szerződésben. A csapat a MotoAmerica Superbike-ban GSX-R1000R-ekkel, a MotoAmerica Supersportban GSX-R750-ekkel versenyzik. Rossi egy újonnan fejlesztett GSX-8R -rel fog a rajtrácshoz állni 2024-ben. Red Bull sporcusu Toprak Razgatlıoğlu, gelecek vadeden bir yarışçıdan, Superbike Şampiyonu olmaya giden yolu başarıyla tamamladı. Yıldız sporcunun kariyerinden öne çıkan anları senin için derledik.
Motor sporları tarihimizin en büyük başarısına imza atarak Superbike şampiyonluğu kazanan Toprak Razgatlıoğlu hiç şüphesiz yarış pistlerinin en değerleri isimleri arasında yer alıyor. Her sezona şampiyonluk hedefiyle başlayan Toprak kariyeri boyunca pek çok unutulmaz ana ve performansa imza atmayı başardı. Çok yakında KNN54 belgeseli ile Toprak'ın kariyer hikayesini de Red Bull TV'de izleyebileceksin. Ama biz öncesinde Toprak'ın kariyerinden öne çıkan anları senin için derledik.
Superstock 1000 | İspanya, Jerez (2016)
Toprak Razgatlıoğlu, 2016’da FIM Superstock 1000 Şampiyonası’nda yarışıyordu. O yıl işler istediği gibi gitmedi. Kawasaki’nin Stock 1000 motosikleti, diğer sınıflardaki kardeşlerinin aksine çok da başarılı değildi. O yıl sadece iki podyum elde edebilen Toprak, sezonu beşinci sırada bitirmişti. Ancak sezonun en unutulmaz anları Jerez’deki yarışta yaşandı.

Toprak Razgatlıoğlu© Lukasz Nazdraczew Toprak, 17. başladığı yarışta Roberto Tamburini, Raffaelle de Rosa, Marco Faccani gibi çok önemli pilotları geride bırakıp son dört turda bitik lastikleri ile muhteşem bir savunma yaparak yarışı üçüncü bitirdi ve podyumda yer aldı. 2017’de yine Superstock 1000’de yarışan Toprak Razgatlıoğlu o yıl üç birincilik alarak sezonu ikinci sırada tamamlamıştı.
Superbike | İngiltere, Donington Park (2018)
Toprak Razgatlıoğlu, Superbike'taki ilk sezonunda arzu ettiği performansın uzağında kaldığını düşünüyordu. Aldığı desteğin karşılığını veremediği kanısına kapılan genç sporcu, kendi deyimiyle kariyerini sorguladığı dönemde her şeyi değiştiren bir dönüm noktası yaşadı.

Toprak Razgatlıoğlu© World.SBK Sezonun altıncı yarış hafta sonu için İngiltere'de bulunan Toprak, Donington Park'taki ikinci yarışa 10. sıradan başladı. Olağanüstü bir performansla tam sekiz sıra tırmanarak yarışı ikinci sırada tamamlamayı başaran Toprak, böylece Superbike'taki ilk podyum başarısını elde ederken büyük bir özgüvenin yanı sıra motor sporları tutkunlarının da hayranlığını kazandı.
Superbike | Fransa, Magny-Cours (2019)
Superbike'taki ikinci sezonunda Toprak ilk yarış galibiyetini kovalıyordu. Islak zeminde yapılan sıralama turlarında 16. olsa da yarışa çok hızlı başlayan Toprak, önündeki isimleri birer birer geride bırakarak yarışın bitimine daha 20 tur varken kendisini podyum mücadelesinin içine atmıştı.

Toprak, galibiyet sonrası zafer turu da attı© World.SBK Oldukça kaotik geçen yarışta sürekli yer değiştiren motosikletçiler arasında performansını hep koruyan Toprak, sürekli olarak ilk üç mücadelesinin içinde yer aldı. Özellikle Jonathan Rea ile inanılmaz bir rekabete giren genç temsilcimiz son iki tura Rea’in hemen arkasında girdi. Toprak son turda ulaştığı inanılmaz hızla Rea’yi de geçmeyi başardı ve kariyerinin ilk Superbike zaferine sürmüş oldu. Toprak daha sonra bu yarışla ilgili şunları söyleyecekti: "Kendimi en özgüvenli hissettiğim yarışlardan biri Fransa’ydı. 16'ncı sırada start alacaktım. 16'ncı sıradan gelip ilk üçe girmek çok zor. Kenan Sofuoğlu ile yarış öncesi konuştuğumuzda dedi ki; ‘Yarışta düşme. Podyum olursa sürpriz olur bizim için.’ Ben de dedim ki ‘Podyumda görüşürüz.’ Bu özgüven nasıl oldu ve bu cümle benim nasıl ağzımdan çıktı bilmiyorum. Benim düşüncem podyum yapmaktı ama o özgüvenle birinci oldum. Orada anladım ki özgüven çok güçlü bir şeymiş."
Superbike | Çekya, Most (2021)
Bir önceki yarış hafta sonuna ev sahipliği yapan Assen'deki ikinci yarışta talihsiz bir şekilde yarış dışı kalan Toprak'ın şampiyonluk hayalleri büyük yara almıştı. Morali zedelenen sporcumuzun önünde tekrar ayağa kalkmak için ilk şans Çekya'daki Most Pisti'ndeki yarıştı.

Toprak Razgatlıoğlu, Çek Cumhuriyeti© WorldSBK Yarışa Jonathan Rea'in ardında başlayan Toprak Razgatlıoğlu, iyi bir kalkış yaparak ilk virajda liderliği devraldı ve ilk turu lider olarak geçti. Birkaç tur sonra ise iyi bir tempo yakalayan Scott Redding liderliğe yükseldi. Yarış boyunca liderlik Scott Redding ve Toprak Razgatlıoğlu ikilisi arasında gidip gelirken, son virajlarda müthiş bir atakla öne geçen Toprak yarışın da galibi oldu. Böylece şampiyonluk umutları yeşeren Toprak müthiş bir hikayenin de fitilini ateşlemiş oldu.
Superbike | Endonezya, Mandalika (2021)
2021 sezonunda WorldSBK takviminde ilk kez yer alan Mandalika Pisti'nde ortaya çıkacak sonuç şampiyonu belirleyecekti. Toprak sıralama turlarındaki dominant performansıyla bu yeni piste çok çabuk uyum sağladığını göstermişti. Ancak cumartesi günü Mandalika Pisti'nde sürücüleri bir sürpriz bekliyordu. İlk yarışın öncesinde başlayan sağanak yağış, pisti yarışa elverişsiz hale getirirken önce start saatinin ertelenmesine ve ardından yarışın pazar gününe kaydırılmasına neden olmuştu.

Toprak Razgatlıoğlu© Barış Acarlı Pazar günü ise biraz yağmur olsa da start verilmesine engel bir durum yoktu. Kısa bir gecikmeyle başlayan yarışta Toprak, ıslak zeminin de etkisiyle start'ta biraz temkinli davrandı. Jonathan Rea liderliğe yükselirken, Scott Redding ise Toprak'ın hemen önünde ikinci sıraya yerleşti. İlk tur tamamlanmadan Toprak, Redding'i geride bırakarak ikinciliği tekrar ele geçirmeyi başardı. Kalan turlarda yerini korumayı başaran temsilcimiz yarışı ikinci sırada tamamlamayı başardı. Toprak Razgatlıoğlu bu sonuçla müthiş geçen sezonu Dünya Superbike Şampiyonu olarak taçlandırdı ve motor sporları tarihimizin en büyük başarısına imza attı. Toprak, bu başarıyla son altı yıldır zirvenin sahibi olan Jonathan Rea'yi de tahtından etmiş oldu. Tokyo Rose: 1969 Honda CB750 drag bike restored by Karl Ardo (@zerobalancer) and Josh Winderman (@thedayolds) for @bornfreeshow 13. Found after hanging in a NJ barn for 40 years, the Tokyo Rose was originally built by the late, great Todd Schuster — a master fabricator who gained national recognition in the early days of AMA Superbike racing with Butler & Smith BMW and American Honda, building race bikes for the likes of Reg Pridmore, Freddie Spencer, and other legends. Says long-time friend Skip Vezzetti: “Todd was more than a mechanic or fabricator; he was an artist. You can’t speak about or think of Todd without smiling. He’ll be missed by all his friends.” When Karl and Josh realized whose drag bike they had, they set out to restore it to its former glory, working from old magazine features and photos provided courtesy of Todd’s nephew, Reggie. “This was not our build, this was saving a piece of drag racing history.” The donor engine is from a 1976 CB750F, utilizing the original cylinders from Todd’s bike with new 900cc sleeves and 10.5-1 pistons. The ’76 head was modified to handle a Web high-performance racing cam, electronic ignition, and pair of Weber 45 carbs with a trick aluminum manifold. The World Is Coming To Daytona International Speedway For The Great American Race, March 7-9 MotoAmerica, North America’s premier motorcycle road race series, is proud to announce that the March 9 running of the Daytona 200 at Daytona International Speedway has attracted 67 entries for the 82nd edition of the legendary race. Although it’s affectionately called "The Great American Motorcycle Race," this year’s Daytona 200 should more accurately be referred to as "The Great Global Motorcycle Race." For the 82nd running of the Daytona 200, which takes place March 7 through 9 on the 3.51-mile, 12-turn road course at Daytona International Speedway, a full 28 riders – nearly half of the 67 riders on the entry list – are from countries outside the United States. The list of nations represented reads like a global competition akin to the Olympic Games, and the level of talent includes three past Daytona 200 winners (Josh Herrin, Brandon Paasch, and Danny Eslick), the 2023 MotoAmerica Supersport Champion (Xavi Forés), the two-time FIM World Endurance Championship-winning team of riders (Niccolò Canepa, Marvin Fritz, and Karel Hanika), a 13-time Isle of Man TT winner and all-time lap record holder (Peter Hickman), a four-time AMA Superbike Champion (Josh Hayes), a three-time Canadian Superbike Champion (Ben Young), and a two-time British Superstock 1000 Champion (Richard Cooper), just to name a few.
