(John laughs) Yeah, it’s called being old! GAHAHAHAHA!!!

(John’s laughter simmers down) Sorry chap. Y’gotta laugh at yerself every now an’ then. But trut’fully, it’s not really an injury. Just, once y’get old and weary, yer equilibrium seems ta get weaker, so you start losing balance and on top a’ that yer legs start to give out more and more. It’s the curse of time, y’know? You’ll end up like me or th’ wife one’a these days.

Altrii@Venet: The smaller, strange bodied Scyther approached the other with caution. "You are... Blade Kin... Yes? What became of your eyes. Do you retain any type sight?"

Blade kin? Must be what colony scyther call eachother. Venet thought. “Yes, I suppose I would be blade kin. Unless theres another species with blades I’m unaware of.”

Altrii @ Baozhai: "Flesh Ripper... that name sounds quite primal and almost basic in intention. Does it go further than that- The conflicts between your clan and the... Flesh Rippers?"

Baozhai made note of the Scyther before her. The creature seemed odd, spectral in nature. For a moment, the ghost's hand seemed to glide ever so gently towards the handle of her blade, only to stop a few inches short of the handle as she composed herself. "Apologies. I've had... bad experiences with bugs. Though, I suppose it wouldn't be any more ironic that a bug would speak of the Flesh Ripper Clan. So I shall indulge you."

"I'm sure you're familiar with species rivalries that go down to one's very DNA. Zangoose and Seviper or Heatmor and Durant. The Flesh Ripper Clan would be considered that to my clan, the Sand Reavers. Eternal enemies. Rivals to the bitter end.. and I wouldn't have it any other way." A flicker of anger ran through Bao's eye. That, and... satisfaction.

"Imagine someone took a Bisharp and Vikivolt before combining them together. You'd have a six foot bug man on your hands that's incredibly violent with an appetite to match. They also belch lightning and rend everything to naught but gore and viscera with their sharp blades and teeth. But that's just one. For every Sand Reaver, there were a thousand Flesh Rippers willing to throw themselves at us just to get a bite. For such was their gluttony that they nearly devoured everything in the region. Flesh, bone, plants, even the rocks and dirt beneath our feet. Everything is fair game to them. Even Legendaries would not wish to stir a swarm, for I've beared witness to a few being dragged down by the sheer weight of their numbers." The ghost trailed off, staring ahead as her hand tightened into a fist.

"They are our enemy most hated, most beloved. For if it wasn't for their swarms blotting out the sky and flooding the sands every wet season, our people would be weaker as a result. We wouldn't be the skilled warriors to this day, nor would we be able to make the sacrifices and commitments necessary to ensure our survival, lest the other clans come and wipe us out."

"So I thank them by killing them. Even when at times, we were so desperate to use our children and elderly to fend them off just to buy a few more minutes of time. Even when they...," Baozhai trailed off, her face becoming more melancholy. "They are a plague with teeth. Let us hope, for your sake, you never have to meet them."

Altrii @ Ama: "We are both hunters in our own ways, for our own purposes. It is the purpose that interests me. You appear to have a more complicated purpose when carrying out your own hunts. What drove you to take up what you do now?"

Ama looks over the scyther before sighing, “to simply put it, we want to purge society of those who wish to corrupt it all for their own selfish desires. However we don’t want to be famous for that which is what would be happening as vigilantes instead we wish to be feared by those we target. A scourge if you will. I have seen what evil can do and I wish that no innocents have to suffer from evil’s poisonous touch.”
