Alberobello #sikandlouscuisine We are in a town called Alberobello in the province of Bari. The area contains dense concentrations of trulli , which are traditional huts with conical roofs made of dry stone. Trulli generally were constructed as temporary field shelters and storehouses or, as permanent dwellings by small proprietors or agricultural labourers. As always there will probably be food in my videos - here is a rustic Capricciosa Pizza , enjoy !#alberbello #italy #trulli #atulsikand #sikandalouscuisine #sikandalouskitchen (at Alberobello)

#5 - TWIN CIRCUS IN HIBERNATION
Tumblr media
Earth time - January 15th, 2018
Loaded up the backpacks and trolley and off we went, unfortunately we had to leave poor Thomas (our camper) alone in Rome, he isn't registered and without insurance, we'll do that down south...
Six hours later...
We arrive in Castellana Grotte with its limestone rock walls that hug the streets fencing the deep brown dirt and rows of olive trees, small white teepee like limestone dwellings with their conical roofs called Trulli, first constructed in the prehistoric age, can be seen scattered along the trail, the tiny streets of the historical centre is lined with cream stone pavement and quaint homes centuries old, it's a unique part of the world and typical to the area. The Pulgiese cuisine is well known throughout Italy, in fact its home to some of the foods Italy is famous for like, Frisella, Taralli, Orichietti, exquisite extra virgin Olive oil, and those Hot, delicious pastries filled with cheese, tomato and capers called Panzarotti; the etymology of this word makes perfect sense to us, PANZA meaning stomach, so yes, yummy in my tummy!...the coastal towns like Monopoli, Polignano al Mare, Lecce, Otoranto are second to none in their beauty and character; have that camera ready, and be careful with whiplash!...our home, (offered by a great friend that goes by the nickname THE MONSTER, but really he's more like a big teddy bear), was just a few minutes out from the centre of town, out where they call Campania (country) and it didn't take us long to turn it into our own, and a pretty well functioning recording studio (the studio is now called THE MONSTER STUDIO, hahaaa)...there's 17 songs to our debut album called 'Experience The Knowing' so we better get cracking. Thomas, our camper, needs his registration and insurance too. So let's fire up the fireplace, batten down the hatches, and rug up 'cause it's gonna be a looooooong winter...
Fortunately, we do have great friends here who also showed us around in their spare time, taking us to places like Bari, Lecce, Polignano al Mare, and Alberbello, shared intimate and cherished moments with their families, (they really made us feel part of the family), ate some wonderful local food, and drank plenty of beer and wine. What's not to like.
Three and a half months later...
We come out of our hibernation, yawning and stretching out of our cave, eyes taking their time adjusting to the daylight, and with the album vocals all tracked ready for the sound engineer. A huge job for Eris, but she done well, and when you hear it I'm sure you'll agree. Thomas has his long awaited registration and insurance and back with us, together, like one happy family. So We say our last sad goodbyes to the most wonderful people, but we will be back for the summer, and The Monster's Birthday in August, so stay tuned for that one, I think it'll be one hell of a clambake; maybe that's where he gets his nickname?...we turn on the ignition, get the motor runnin' and head down the highway...
"Heading down the highway, heavy metal thunder"Twin Circus is coming to a town near you....so until next time ladies and gentlemen, keep rockin', Twin Circus

Rules: Always post the rules. Answer the 11 random questions posted for you. Create 11 new ones and tag 11 people. Let the person who tagged you know that you answered.
Thank you @whompingwillowy for tagging me as this looks quite fun!
1. What is one skill you wish you had?
I would love to have telekinesis lol, but i assume this is in the real world, I would wish for better people skills. I’m not very good at meeting people all the time so to have better skills would be more beneficial
2. What are your favorite names? (People names, pet names, place names… anything you feel like, I just like names!)
I love the name Elizabeth. idk its just really pretty and you can create so many nicknames with it. I also love my own name, Megan, cuz it’s pretty and it means Pearl in Welsh, which is cool. A cool place name is Alberbello in Italy. I just like how it rolls of the tongue.
3. Tell me about your dreams! Do you remember them? Are they in color or black and white? Any really weird or interesting ones lately? Recurring dreams?
Sometimes i remember dreams for a little bit but not usually. I’ll usually remember how I felt rather than what i was doing in it.
4. Tell me about something beautiful that other people might overlook.
Some people might overlook the beauty of languages, how they sound and look. they may only see them as a means of communication but they feel like so much more to me.
5. What was the last thing that made you laugh?
Hanging out with my friends often makes me laugh.
6. Tell me a fictional character you relate to and why.
Most of the fictional characters I relate to are those who are more introverted and snarky but can also be kind and caring. I tend to relate to both Nesta and Amren from the ACOTAR series. For those who haven't read it, they're both more closed off and like to keep to themselves but still have a sense of family. They are also both incredibly intelligent (i can only hope to live up to that but i think I'm pretty smart). Like they have secrets and aren’t as outgoing as the rest of the main characters. I also relate to Audrey Rose Wadsworth from the Stalking Jack the Ripper series because of her wit and intelligence and humor and her doing things most women wouldn't do in the 1800s.
7. Describe your perfect meal.
Definitely chicken paprika. It’s a recipe both my dad’s mom and my mom make that’s super delicious. It’s pasta with a sauce that has chicken, onions, paprika, and a few other things, and it tastes so good.
8. What’s your guilty pleasure?
My guilty pleasure is definitely watching youtube way more than I should. I could watch for hours on end when I have nothing else to do.
9. Where/when/how did you meet your favorite person?
all of my friends are my favorite people that I’ve met so I’d have to say beginning of high school/in middle school/beginning of college.
10. Do you sing along with music? Are you any good at it?
I do sing along to music. I am not very good at it though.
11. Tell me something you wish you had said, with or without context.
f*ck off. (censoring it to be kind to those who don’t like cursing) you can ask me for the context if you want.
My questions for others:
1. Favorite color? Why?
2. If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
3. If you discovered the Matrix was real and you could get out into the real world, would you?
4. What fictional universe would you want to live in?
5. Favorite school subject?
6. Do you like to dance? Are you any good at it?
7. What’s your lucky number?
8. If you could learn any language, which one would it be?
9. What’s your favorite brand of mints? Altoids? Ice Breakers? Tic-Tac? Another one I’ve never heard of?
10. Who’s your role model?
11. What’s your favorite snack?
I tag: @whompingwillowy @perenelleflamelle @yer-a-bitch-harry @quaffles @aelinsassryvergalathynius @severus-snape-is-a-butt-trumpet @modernbookfae @bookofmirth @my-name-is-fireheart @theletterlessravenclaw @lemonadeandlanguages and anyone else who wants to (if you don't wanna, thats okay too)

Hi all,
Sam BestOfBothWorlds
