Kudos to Aidan Bertola (young Din) for being able to show in that small scene with no dialogue how Din is both terrified but also knows his situation, knows his parents are gone, and knows that this mandalorian who is offering their help is his best hope - you can see him considering whether or not to accept the hand that is reaching to help him and he does that in one small facial expression and I think he really deserves praise for it

Trying to write a fic about Din’s childhood after he becomes a foundling is excruciating bc there’s like zero info ahdgsghshs I’ve been combing through wookieepedia for hours 😭

Trying to find out:

Who exactly rescued Din (says death watch but idk if confirmed)

Mando’a name for the people that found Din (like what do foundlings call their clan elders/mentors or whatever)

What age foundlings get their armor

What age do children of the watch start never taking off their helmets (like is it right away when they first get their armor or a little while after that?)

What town did Luke live closest to/go to often (maybe with his uncle? It seems like he’s never been to mos eisley in anh but has he been to mos espa? I need a place he frequents as a child aaaaaa)

Also how old do we think Din was when he was rescued/how old he is now? (He has to be at least 28 bc I think he was rescued in 19 BBY. But the Clone Wars started in 22 BBY so it could be any time between there I guess. Aidan Bertola was 11 in the episode that shows the flashbacks to Din being rescued and he has a playing age of 8-11 so in 9 ABY he has to be between 36 and 42 if my math is right lol I might lower his age bc I said so 😌)
