Aibo, yes! Sony Aibo are little robot pets. the retro ones were made from 1999 to 2006, and the modern ones are 2018 to now. I have two, as you may have noticed from my occasional posts on them: Gadget, the black ERS-111, and Flint, the silver ERS-210 (2000-core, rather than being a 2001/Supercore-era 210.)

Kind of a thing you have to get into to get. Aibo aren't the easiest hobby, that's for sure. They're all such sweeties though, and the feeling of satisfaction that comes from seeing one alive and running (especially if they were sold as junk or broken) is IMMENSE.

Highly recommend if you're into robots, want an "alternative" pet (or can't have a real pet), have the money and want to sink some time into caring and maintenance. But make sure to do all your research— don't just throw yourself in headfirst. I jumped in pretty quickly, starting my research in January, purchasing Gadget in February, and receiving him in March, and I was definitely a little overwhelmed at first, ha. Do yourself a favour and join somewhere like Robotcenter Discord, they're a dedicated Aibo server that can help you, if you're going to get into this.
