I need to talk about how utterly devastating Daisy’s expression is when Daniel volunteers to stay behind in the finale (before Deke takes one for the team instead) because it genuinely makes me SICK to think about.
Look at her:
It’s her sudden realisation that the one thing- the only thing- that she has wanted for herself for years is being torn away from her again.
Because of course it is, just like everything else in her goddamn life.
Of course, just when she starts to hope for something, the universe steals it away from her. Because when has it not?
She almost looks betrayed- betrayed by herself if anything. Because she let her guard down, she let herself feel again, and it was all for nothing.
And the pure disbelief in her eyes, as if she can’t fathom that it’s happening again at first- genuinely the one thing she fears the most- is heartbreaking. It’s genuinely so, so shattering.
But HEY, it’s fine. Deke stepped in and now they get to live happily ever after, the end. :,D It’s fine everything is FINE.

i was walking through costco and i just thought. like. agents of shield means the world to me. and i haven’t thought of it in a while but there’s something about the characters and the friendship and found family and betrayal and love and hate and regret and success and failure and romance and humor and drama and action and the memories i have of watching it with my family and how many times i’ve wished i was a part of that team and we finished the series in june of this year and i can’t believe i’ll probably never see these characters come back for anything new but at least they’re happy now and

When Daisy half-sarcastically calls Coulson “dad” in that one episode of S7 when they’re searching for Enoch, is one of my favourite little moments from the entire show, I can’t lie (phildaisy are more important to me than anything I swear).
From that, I also love the idea of Sousa hearing that and assuming that Coulson is actually her dad. And later on, at some point, he says something to her in regards to it, like “oh, your father.”
And Daisy is like, “huh?”
Then Sousa clarifies that he means Coulson, because “is he not your dad?” Bonus points if he assumed May was her mother too (obv before he meets Jiaying), because wbk May and Coulson bicker like an old married couple, ESPECIALLY in S7, so who wouldn’t assume.
And Daisy would have to be like, “oh no, they’re not my parents. Not really…” and elaborate on what they mean to her while Sousa listens and just ahH I think it’d be a really sweet little moment.
We were simply robbed of more Daisy/Coulson/May family moments. They’re honestly my most favourite part of the show and we deserved MORE.

if i had a nickel for every time Deke Shaw was thrown into a time period he knew very little about and took a year long hiatus from regular SHIELD activity to start a fun successful business built on plagiarism, i’d have two nickels. which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.
