Meet the Iconic!

Name: Gruk. No surname.

Notable Titles: Rainbow Wrecker! His old alias, from when he was once a gladiator.

Race: Half-orc, half-goliath.

Archetype: Battlemaster. Gruk employs many strategies of both brute force and cleverness to bring him victory.

Alignment: Neutral Good/Chaotic Good. Having grown up on the streets, Gruk tends to not let the law tell him what is good and what is evil.

Age: 27. It’s difficult to tell due to how he looks under the helmet, but he’s quite young.

Appearance: Gruk’s common appearance is as loud as he is: Fullplate armor, with a shield, and countless fabrics of various colors striping or hanging or otherwise donning the metal plates that is his armor.

Personality: Gruk is loud and boisterous at best, overwhelmingly positive at worst. His booming voice tends to bring everyone’s attention on him, both on and off the battlefield. He is, in a few words: loud, joyful, gregarious, and sociable. Despite this friendly exterior, he is almost always ready for combat.

History: Gruk was raised as a no-one in an orphanage in a frontier farming town. He never knew who his parents were, or why they left him there; all he knew growing up was that he had to fend for himself. But not just himself, for he had twelve other orphaned children to look after, all of whom had unconsciously decided that Gruk was to be the leader, as he was the biggest and strongest out of them.

For the first fourteen years of his life, Gruk did his utmost best to make sure the other children had food in their stomachs and some coin in their pockets. From fighting for scraps of bread, to helping out the local hunters, to assisting the guards of the town when monsters were at the gates. It was during these circumstances that Gruk realized he had a natural talent for handling weaponry of all shapes and sizes. Eventually, at the tender age of fourteen (and after ensuring that the children had jobs or apprenticeships), Gruk set out for the capital city to make his living as a gladiator.

And made a living he did. Using the persona of the ‘Rainbow Wrecker’ (and with the outfit made by a tailor friend, who’s brother was also an armorsmith), Gruk successfully earned a living as one of the gladiators most beloved by the commonfolk. He was known for being loud, showy, and making crude jokes (with his opponents at the butt of them). He kept this up for many years, earning much coin, but sending most of it to orphanages, charities, and other various good causes.

One day, however, it all came crashing down. Gruk faced a young red dragon by his lonesome in the arena, with nothing but his flail and his shield. Neither of those saved him when the dragon caught him in its breath of fire at point blank. Had it not been for his will of steel, the half-orc would have died on the spot. But because of it, he managed to hold on long enough for the healers to save his life.

Scarred beyond the point of recognition by the dragon’s burns, Gruk quit being a gladiator. Now, he travels the lands as a common sellsword, doing good where he can. However, in his travels, he heard of the Adventurer’s Collective, and decided to apply...

Summary: What if Aziraphale hadn't been able to find a body after accidentally making an unplanned return to Heaven? And he wasn't able to let Crowley know what had happened to him? With Armageddon still looming, it will be up to Crowley to find the Antichrist on Earth while Aziraphale looks for a way to thwart the Apocalypse while still trapped in Heaven. God's plans may be ineffable, but they also seem to have more than one way to work themselves out in the end....
