Katherine Moya Farias, 31 años, arquitecta chilena especializada en patrimonio y artista autodidacta emergente, radicada en Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires desde 2022. “No me llamo Cata” es el pseudónimo que da al espacio donde presenta su quehacer creativo gestado desde el 2015, el que abarca su obra artística y su labor entorno al patrimonio en su más amplio espectro.

Su trabajo está cruzado por su obsesión entorno a las preexistencias: los espacios, los objetos y las memorias, los que analiza y desgrana desde una aproximación emocional-corporal: la luz, la temperatura, las materialidades, las texturas, las escalas, las acciones, los colores, los recuerdos, los olvidos, los movimientos, los simbolismos, etc. Esta información le permite manipular plásticamente las preexistencias, creando otras experiencias y ópticas en torno a ellas; o bien, para proyectar obras totalmente diferentes del elemento de origen, pero aprovechando sus cualidades estéticas.

Dentro de sus recursos plásticos se encuentra la superposición de imágenes, pintura y texto, la desfiguración a través de electrofotografía e impresión, la representación del cuerpo en acción, el dibujo técnico y la proyección del espacio.

Candida albicans es un tipo común de hongo que se encuentra de manera habitual en el cuerpo, en pequeñas cantidades en la vagina, la boca, el tubo digestivo y en la piel. Candida y muchos otros microorganismos que normalmente viven en la vagina se mantienen mutuamente en equilibrio. Sin embargo, algunas veces la cantidad de Candida aumenta, lo que lleva a que se genere una candidiasis.
