On one hand, i like the idea of it being on a basement level under the abbey (maybe because it makes it feel more like a den to the ghouls [many who often slept in crevices between rocks or in actual burrows]).

But on the other hand, natural light is definitely a must for keeping ghouls happy, and thus they'd need windows.
