Oh, my Macabrlings, it's wild to see how much more I've written in the last year. It'd been a long time since I wrote anything back when I started up my Tumblr and y'all have been so lovely to me with your likes, comments, reblogs, and asks. So, I'm sitting in a pretty good spot with my two main stories being Shadows of Deception and Unbreakable Bonds BUT, a couple of my WIPS are growling at me every time I look at them so, so I'm going to challenge myself for what's left of the month of March!

I'm going to pick three of my oldest WIPS and try to finish them by the end of the month, if I don't, well, I guess they remain a priority until... I finish... them? Is that how this works? Meh. Whatever, without further ado here are the top three WIP contenders in no particular order!

Healing Hands: Set in the Arkham Verse following a first-person narrative of Jason Todd, the second Robin and formerly the Arkham Knight. Grappling with demons is lonely and dirty work that Jason Todd often does alone, but tonight he needs backup, following a brawl in the rain-slicked streets. The ghosts of his past are nipping at his heels and in the absence of Batman or his bat siblings, he turns to the one person he knows will understand his pain. A kindred spirit, his girlfriend, the Omen. Jason Todd/Wrenna Jameson (OFC) Smut, and fluff.

The One That Got Away: The sequel to Bet You Wish You Had Me Back and personally requested by @sodasbqe The follow-up to Shane and Austin's story, I see you there and I have been kicking around a few ideas for their story but they've been slow coming but I am working on it! Austin's been running for something for a long time and after the night she and Shane had together he's not willing to let her keep running. The past isn't so scary with a man like Shane Walsh at her back and in her heart. Shane Walsh/Austin Walker (OFC) Smut and fluff.

1001 Nights of Mischief: Follow Loki as he searches for his fiance, Sigyn; seems she's led him on a little bit of a scavenger hunt to Midguard. How does one keep the God of Mischief from getting into too much mischief? Simple. Make sure he's too busy and sated to cause any trouble. Loki/Sigyn Smut.

These are the top three I will be focusing on outside of my two main projects so if you've got any thoughts on the subject or words of encouragement let me hear them!

For the cover/title I went directly to the Bachelor logo for inspiration, replacing the classic wedding band with, of course, the ring of keys used in the fic!

The cover is heat embossed by hand, in the same way as my previous bind of Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea. For that bind I went pretty maximalist, and for THIS one I wanted to aim for a really clean looking, simple but elegant look. I think it turned out pretty good! I ended up going for the white and gold look to match First House Gideon vibes

I also tried rounding and backing here again, which turned out somewhat mixed. I'm still working on my technique for that, but peep the nice yellow headbands to match the endpapers!

Overall, this was SO fun to do, and a great excuse to revisit & spend good time with a fic I love.

I don't know if I'll ever actually write this, but I have a vague idea for a fic that's like, Sam, Jan, and Jamie vs the AFC Richmond Charity Gala that's set in early season 2 and basically explains what happened to the charity gala in 1x04 that's implied to be an annual tradition but that we never see again. The premise is as follows:

After the Dubai Air protest, Sam feels bad that he didn't look into the company he agreed to promote beforehand and decides to be more proactive in his activism. Which is why, when Ted announces the gala is coming up and Jan Maas (who obviously wasn't there for the last one) is like, "isn't it exploitative and dehumanizing to auction off players?" Sam decides he's going to Do Something About It and tries to rally the team to petition Rebecca to change the event, with mixed results.

Jamie, meanwhile, is having a... weird time. He's still nervous about his place on the team, especially now that Roy is back and at the height of his refusing-to-coach-Jamie era, and while there's not as much outright animosity from the other players, they're also not really friends. He's trying to be on his best behaviour, but the upcoming gala is making him nervous and Sam and Jan going around talking about like. consent and bodily autonomy and all that is dredging up some feelings that he's been repressing — mostly about Amsterdam but also about Lust Conquers All (I don't know a ton about reality TV production but it sounds pretty brutal on the contestants, and Jamie would not have been in a great frame of mind going in).

So when Sam and Jan go to talk to him, he doesn't want to turn them down because he's trying to make up for how he treated Sam last year, but he also doesn't want to get on the bad side of the rest of the team if they like the gala, and also also if auctioning off players is wrong then what happened to him in Amsterdam was definitely wrong, and he's not ready to confront that. But of course Sam is a sweetheart and realizes pretty quickly that Something Bad happened here and is like. okay now we really can't have the gala.

Anyway they make a 50-slide Powerpoint that they rehearse a bunch of times and go to present it to Rebecca in full Isaac-approved suits and everything, and then only get like. one slide in before Rebecca's like, "you're right, that is creepy. We'll come up with something new for this year." Also Roy apologizes for joking about Jamie having to sleep with that woman. The end 😊

#i'm pretty sure the doylist reason the gala only happens once is there's a limited number of episodes and they didn't want to be redundant #and in-universe we're maybe supposed to assume it happened off screen #but i thought it was creepy even before we knew what happened to jamie in amsterdam so i'm going with this instead #jamie's stint on lust conquers all genuinely makes me so sad if i think about it for too long #ted lasso fanfic #or i guess. hypothetical future ted lasso fanfic #it's on the list but i'm incapable of working on multiple wips at once so if someone else wants to write this go for it #jamie tartt #sam obisanya #jan maas

Ok going anon for this one lol. So your posts about edging made me think of the opposite like I have such a kink for John coming too early like he is so turned on by Gale he can’t help it. (Thinking of one of those 5 things fic too like 5 times John finishes too early). This also feeds into my John praise kink which is my favorite like what if John just comes from Gale praising him? YUPPP yuppp this shit lives rent free in my head oh my god. needy desperate john is everything. i agree 1000%– with other people john's been with, he's been balanced, doesn't get worked up by specific tiny things, doesn't feel on the verge of coming in his pants from a stray look.

but with gale? the slightest thing sets john off, and sits at the front of his brain all day, getting him more and more flustered until they're finally alone and any restraint is out the window. (he's literally galesexual)

the first time it happens, john is mortified, tries to cover it up with his usual loud–mouthed confidence, cracking a joke when he recovers, but gale is just like fuck. fuck, that was hot. they're probably proper making out for the first time, and john's pressed to the navigator's table in an empty plane, and gale tugs at his bottom lip with his teeth so briefly, but suddenly john's spilling into his own briefs with a ragged moan, fingers digging into gale's waist.

the awkward "oh." from john when his vision comes back, and gale's breathy "did you...?" and john's reluctant nod. gale groans against his lips, pushes back into the kiss hard, pressing his hips against john's, head spinning with how hot it is that he got off on so little.

and the praise kink would for sure feed into it, it's such a thing for both of them– and as much as gale likes being praised too, there's just something about watching john absolutely glow when he sweet talks him, telling him how well he's doing, how pretty he looks; gale can't get enough of the reactions he gets from it.

gale barely keeps it together as he watches his jaw go slack around his cock, quickly pulling out to jerk himself off, rambling out praises as john falls apart beneath him, painting the prettiest face and lips to the tune of john's raspy broken whimpers as he trembles between his legs, curls all wild and knuckles white with how hard he's gripping his thighs. it's the hottest thing gale's seen and he definitely leans into it in the future, wanting to see if john can get off without a single touch, just by listening to his voice.

Kate sits with her coffee in hand, watching as Love settles into the chair across from her, visibly pleased with the prospect of her own coffee.

They’re usually fond of companionable silence, a murmured morning in the greeting (Not good morning, as Love is never a willing morning person), before sticking their noses in their respective tablets and fiddling with emails and tasks despite this supposed to be a time for break.

Kate is neck deep wheeling and dealing as usual when she hears displeased muttering across the table. Glancing up, Love has her coffee in hand and a sour look on her face. “Everything alright?” She asks as the muttering continues.

“I’m going to kill him.”

Kate is not following. “You’re going to what?”

Love has a face as serious as a heart attack, eyes narrowing at Kate across the way. “I’m going to succeed where terrorist cells across the world have failed, and I am going to kill John Price.”

Given Love’s pleasant mood not two minutes ago, Kate can’t help but wonder what the hell happened in such a short time span that John’s landed himself in hot water.

“What’d he do?” Ever nosy, Kate’s penchant for learning everything has served her well at her job.

“I’m fucking pregnant. Again,” she elaborates while gesturing at the coffee with her free hand.

“Ignoring the fact that you announcing you’re going to kill him makes it premeditated- before you go to prison for the murder of a S.A.S. Captain, do you want to,” Kate pauses as she pretends to think, “I dunno, maybe pee on a stick?”

“This,” another gesture to the coffee, “is better than a blood test. The only stick I need is the one I’m going to shove up his ass.”

au that i’ve been constantly thinking abt where in sonic unleashed, sonic doesnt turn into a werehog...but dark sonic. okay so, sonic turns into a werehog because of dark gaia's effect. so, as we know, dark sonic in sonic x came to be thanks to the fake emeralds (so, corrupted chaos energy i'd say). now, if u think abt it, eggman drained the energy from the emeralds while sonic was still in his super form, so the chaos energy was corrupted to the point where sonic turned into dark sonic. basic concept is that during the night, he’s dark sonic, during the day, he’s regular sonic, thanks to chip.
