If the Worst Girls Cinematic Universe (WGCU for short) runs on some kind of Persona-esque “Human cognition can literally warp reality”/“Clap your hands if you believe” rule, I just hope this doesn’t include the OTHER Fun Part (tm) of that. You know, the whole “Summoning Final Boss Gods of the Week that try to destroy humanity as we know it bc they earnestly believe that’s what humans desire most and so therefore that wish MUST be granted at all costs” thing. That’d be a pain in the ass to deal with (especially when it keeps fucking happening over and over for multiple years in a row)

I really like how StarClan is depicted in your rewrite. In one of the field guides, it’s stated that StarClan are not that much wiser than the living cats, and that all they have to guide them is visions of the future, which they can only warn the living cats about. Besides the first arc, I think that’s my favorite depiction of StarClan because it allows them nuance. However, I think your version does improve on that concept by actually implementing it and showing that the Dark Forest and StarClan have ideals that change over time, much like the world of the living. Anyways, keep up the good work!

I feel like canon StarClan is such a waffling, wasted opportunity. It's like the writers are so afraid of unpacking their religious biases that they can't say anything meaningful

StarClan has to control nothing at all because Cat Free Will, but also be a powerful entity that can physically interact with the mortal plane through fighting demons or possessing people

They have to both be wise, prophetic ancestors, but also no smarter than the living cats.

They must be the moral tether preventing the Clan cats from becoming godless heathens, but no more good and kind than a living cat. Bonus points for TBC where StarClan's Love literally burned through Ashfur's Spooky Evil Magic Vines Of Hatred or whatever.

It reminds me a lot of the bitter flavor of protestant Christianity I grew up around, and all the contradictions the adults in my live believed but couldn't articulate. So that's what BB!StarClan is, really. Angels dressed up as god, just as powerful as the living believe they are. Still loving, but prone to anger and self-righteousness. Young, flawed dieties whose sum is greater than its parts.

I'm fascinated by what StarClan could be, in this way.

Our world is becoming increasingly filled with distraction. Information moves faster, louder, and brighter than ever before. Entertainment, social media, and marketing have never been so prevalent. They beg for our attention and our focus. In so doing, our minds are diverted from more important work.

However, these distractions are easy to notice. After all, the battle plays out in front of us each day.

Far more detrimental to our lives are the subtle distractions that quietly surround us. They are not announced with blinking lights or beeping sounds. In fact, they have become so commonplace and ever-present, we hardly even notice their existence. But these distractions take residence in our mind and wreak havoc on our pursuits. And in the end, it keeps us from living our lives to its greatest potential.

The third card for this pile was Justice. This card can represent karma. Basically, getting back some of the energy you’ve been giving back. This doesn’t necessarily mean karma coming in now, but thinking about if a mindset you’ve had lately will give you the karma that you want in your life.

The first card for this pile was the Knight of Pentacles. This is a card associated with focusing on the details and thoroughness. In this case, with the context of this spread, I feel like this may be a bit of over-attention to details. Like making things harder on yourself because you’re picking up every small task that you notice needing done.

The second card for this pile was the 10 of Wands. This is a card associated with feeling worn out from everything. Despite this exhaustion, you are still persevering through it and doing what you need to.

The third card for this pile was the 9 of Wands. This card is also associated with perseverance and not backing down. There may be a bit of stubbornness with this card, although this stubborn behavior isn’t necessarily unjustified.

The second card for this pile was The World. This card suggests that something is coming to an end. This is generally an ending that brings a sense of accomplishment and/or happiness. I feel like this ending is something to do with that 10 of Cups reversed, whether it is letting go of connections that make you miserable or ending things that are having a negative impact on connections in your life.

The third card for this pile was the Knight Of Cups. This card is associated with taking action on your emotions. This may be doing things that show a more sensitive side of yourself and/or doing things to express your emotions rather than holding them in.
