So. Favorite Warden other than Ingo, eh? For me that's Iscan, hands down.
When first going through the game, his was the only name I could remember without looking it up, I just liked him that much! (You know. Other than Ingo. But that was only because I already knew him.)
He's just a sweet teddy bear of a man, but is also the definition of bravery. I immediately fell in love with this sweet man the moment I met and started to get to know him. Man's afraid of ghosts (understandable. And to be fair, Dusknoir (which an Alpha one hangs out where the Duskull and Dusclops spawn) is said to be a psychopomp... And most Ghost-types want to eat your soul anyway, so I can see why he avoids that place!) and gets intimidated by most other things, and so has set his house up on a hill to be surrounded by friendly monke(s)! I can absolutely see him just sitting in the grass, playing his little flute while Aipom swarm around him, just playing and messing with him like monke is want to do. Living on Aipom Hill actually sounds really nice and relaxing, tbh. Friendly monkey friends and a nice view! Can see why he set himself up there!
And just... He's such a good character! He doesn't really need to grow or have a character arc, because he's already such a great guy! (Palina gets all the character focus and development in that little arc of the game, and for good reason.) Like, his biggest flaw as a character/big defining trait is that he scares easy. But he is by no means a coward. Bravery is not defined by not being afraid of things. Recklessness and stupidity are more in line with that definition. But rather bravery is measured by being afraid of something, but having the strength of character to do what needs to be done anyway. He may be scared, but he'll always do what's right regardless! And we know that he's saved at least one life because of this bravery! And you know what? His romance with Palina is very cute. I hope those crazy kids make it work out and stay together. Also he looks like he would give GREAT hugs, and I really like his little <:3c face. Also also silly wave hairline may be hard to draw, but is very fun. I really hope that we can get confirmation on a descendant of his at some point. My biggest hope is that he has a descendant that will be introduced in Scarlet and Violet, and we can get confirmation that he and Palina did end up together in the end.
And what can I say? Out of anyone in the clan that's mostly young, attractive people, I chose the one middle-aged guy as my favorite. I always love me my middle-aged dudes! But that's purely a personal taste thing. (And a reason that I tend to like the Pearl Clan more than the Diamond Clan lol.)
Plus he gives you access to one of the most useful Ride Pokemon in the entire game! Finally! Your ass doesn't drown the second you even think of trying to get near a deep body of water! Even if trying to complete Pokedex tasks while out on the water with Basculegion is hell and I hate it! :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Iscan’s the favorite!
Iscan is genuinely a fantastic character. @maniac-reboggles put it together very nicely. He is such a caring character and was there for Palina when she needed someone. He didn’t care for the fued between the clans at all, and disregarded that to help her. And he helps you, the protag as well, despite needing to confront something that terrifies him to do so!
The man might come off as a bit meek, and have a phobia that makes it hard to deal with certain things, but he pushes past that to be the epitome of bravery. Saving Lord Arcanine’s pups for Paulina. Being with her despite how clans say not to. Confronting his terror of ghosts to help you. Going to firespit island despite finding the lighting and bandits terrifying. Seriously, Iscan is a wonderful character. Both you and the first anon put it well, mentioning that Iscan is a very brave character!
I would also love to possibly see a Palina and Iscan descendant in SV or some other game haha! Those two are great together. The first Anon is right, their relationship really gives them a very interesting appeal, and a great dynamic.
(And I agree, Basculegion is an incredibly useful ride Pokémon! Thank you Iscan!)
As the second anon put it in their last paragraph, Iscan is just wholesome haha. Can’t say it enough, what a great character!
Iscan is great!

I'm a sucker for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, so You have Headcannons about it?
I'll Start saying that One of My First Playthroughs Treecko was my partner, so When Grovyle shows up I Made The Crazy HC that he was my partner from The future ajdbdj
Oh my good friend, it depends on which game you’re asking about!
But in general, I do love the wild implications and questions raised by having a Treecko on your team in Explorers. I suppose a similar idea presents itself in Rescue Team, though not involving time travel. Imagine if your partner was a Charmander, and the Charizard on Team A.C.T. was actually their biological dad? Just something to think about. Speaking of fathers, can we just take a moment to give a shoutout for how Dugtrio is depicted? (In Explorers, I can’t remember if they did the same thing in Rescue) I know it’s because they have three heads, and I know referring to oneself as multiple people isn’t really something that we see in the same context in real life...but Dugtrio being the way they are and everyone just accepting it, despite how it’s different than the norm...that’s such a great example to set? Like, I didn’t get it as a kid, but I so appreciate it now. It’s an unorthodox form of representation, but the writing of Dugtrio’s character has its heart in the right place.
Most headcanons I have will probably be for Explorers, since while I love all of these games, that is the one that I’ve played backwards and forwards. Here’s one: The Multiverse Theory. I believe there are several timelines that have occurred and overlap each other. The Dark Future, as well as the Restored Future that the heroes create, are just two examples. I feel like Darkrai would have tried several times, creating new portals for each failure.
Here’s a tricky question: If the Time Gears are supposed to be in Temporal Tower, and even have slots fitted for them...why weren’t they there in the first place? Why were they placed in different locations around the world? If Darkrai moved them, why did they have Guardians who seemed to have been there for generations, assuming that that was where the Gears were supposed to be? Here’s another question: The Time Gear depicted on the loading screen for Explorers of Darkness...what was that about? As of Sky, we’ve seen every Time Gear location, and there were only five...this is what I mean. Multiverse. That location looked a hell of a lot like the Dark Crater. I bet there was a timeline where Darkrai kept one of the Time Gears to ensure Temporal Tower could never be fully restored. We only know that he “sabotaged it” after all.
Here’s another question about Darkrai’s powers: How the heck does he have the ability to transfigure a human into a pokemon? How was he able to do that? I’m pretty sure the amnesia was just a naturally occurring side-effect, that the MC bumped their head or something. So that would answer that question. Here’s another point - Darkrai was aiming for Grovyle. MC shielded him. Which of course raises the question - what the heck would that attack have done to Grovyle? I’m not sure, part of me wonders if it wouldn’t have reduced him to being a Treecko, perhaps? That could be the connection. Or maybe it was just a run of the mill nightmare attack that he’s known for, but since it was meant for a Pokemon’s mind, it responded different to a human’s? What if the MC being a pokemon is, itself, a kind of dream, come to life?
The Dimensional Scream. This ability is so weird. In the past, it can work on anything. In the future, it’s only Time Gears. Why is that? I feel like maybe it has some connection to how the Time Gears being in different places across different timelines. How in some, they’re in Temporal Tower, yet in others, they’re around the world. I wonder where an ability like this would come from, and why only humans can have it. Why couldn’t say, a psychic type pokemon have this power? We see from the MC’s transformation that they retain the ability even in a Pokemon’s body. So again, why is it only humans who can have this power? That’s not even getting into the unanswered questions about how humans fit into this universe. It’s not like Gates to Infinity where humans are directly established to be seen as fairy tales to the Pokemon. In this game, they know what humans are, but the player is the only one they ever meet.
Here’s a fun theory. Those Time Gears fit into Temporal Tower, into a shape that looks like one big Time Gear. Suppose in the original, true timeline....it was all  one Gear? That Darkrai’s sabotage was what broke it into pieces? Suppose the fracture of time is what caused all the divergent timelines to become possible, to overlap? Suppose the MC is psychically attuned to the fracture in time, and that connection is what creates the Dimensional Scream? It would tie in with how it’s animated, that’s for sure. It could go a ways to explaining why the ability is so random. Why it sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t, and how it even seems to be affected by the presence of Time Gears or lack thereof. What if The Dark Future is a kind of chasm where all of the timelines are leading to unless changed, and within the Dark Future, time itself is dying? After all, everything has frozen, and Dialga has lost all sense of reason.  So the connection to other timelines is actually weaker in the Dark Future, hence only being able to use The Scream in connection to the Time Gears?
I’d imagine the MC was a coveted asset in the war. That Dusknoir would have, at one time, badly wanted to recruit them to work for Primal Dialga, because they would be the greatest weapon the Resistance could possibly have. But both the MC and Grovyle were willing to let themselves die to bring a better tomorrow (or well, “today) for the pokemon (and humans?) of their world. You know how Grovyle talks about seeing the sunrise for the first time? The morning after Darkrai’s attack? How much it blew him away and strengthened his resolve? Yeah, I think about that moment a lot. Man, the plot twists and characters in these games are so good. Even if you predicted the Grovyle/Dusknoir switcharoo, did anyone see the “My best friend...” twist coming? I know I didn’t, but it was so well foreshadowed! Speaking of that scene, the place we meet up with Celebi is absolutely the future version of Fogbound Lake. I don’t know if that was supposed to be obviously true, or if it’s just a head-canon on my part, but it seemed pretty clear. Hell if we assume that the portals can only travel through time, not space...then that means Dusknoir just brought us to the future of Treasure Town. What if...what if the Stockade was what’s left of the Guild? Oh my god.
Let’s talk about the Partner. How they had the Relic Fragment with them, the key to powering the Rainbow Stoneship, the beacon to signal Lapras...and the Partner just “happened to pick it up somewhere.” Seriously, that’s all we get. They handwave the question of where the hell the partner got this, and I think it’s an important one to think about. The way I see it, there are two possibilities. One, that the Relic Fragment itself chose the Partner, and thus presented itself to them. Think of like, the Sword of Gryffindor presenting itself to someone from that House who is worthy. If the Relic Fragment could somehow sense within the Partner’s soul that they were worthy, a good person. The other possibility is that the Relic Fragment was somehow stolen from where it was meant to be kept, and ended up getting passed around, stolen or moved by unsuspecting pokemon until it fell into the partner’s lap by pure chance. But if I had to guess a resting place for the Relic Fragment...hmm. I don’t know why Waterfall Cave is my first guess, since it doesn’t suit the aesthetic of the gem room at all. But it does have a built in trap. What if the gems were just a decoy to distract any visitors from the seemingly less fancy Fragment? Would make sense, especially since you can’t pick them up. Hell the cave itself is supposed to be a secret in general.

I’ve been having a lot of feelings.
TL;DR: Leon represents every kid who grew up playing Pokemon.
When I was ten years old, the Sinnoh games were the latest core series Pokémon games. I remember loving Dusknoir especially, thinking of it as “my partner” the way Ash had Pikachu. I loved the idea of Pokémon contests and watched every episode that had one. I loved the idea of being independent, of going on a journey.
I’m turning twenty-one next January. I still love Pokémon, but now I interact with the series differently.
Pokémon, first and foremost, is a game for children. It’s always going to have kid or teen protagonists. The coming of age story is designed for children. When you beat the champion in any game, a grownup character will tell you you’ve grown so much and how they’re proud of you. I bet a lot of us have some fond childhood memories about specific moments in the games.
As parts of the fan base grow up, though, there’s a question: what comes next?
What happens after you defeat the bad guys? What happens after you enter the Hall of Fame? What happens after you grow up?
The writers have been developing this (or at least trying to) ever since Gold and Silver. Because their protagonists are blank slates, though, it’s hard to write epilogues that get specific. Red becomes a silent recluse. Hilbert/Hilda disappear on a search for N. (I mean, mood, and probably what a lot of players themselves would have done, but it’s also kind of sad to see the world move on without you.) Red appears again to vacation with his rival in Alola. (Also a mood and also what I’d do if I spent three years on an ice mountain, but that doesn’t develop any story about him as a character.)
It’s hard to write about the player characters after they become champion.
Hence: Leon.
Leon is noted for becoming champion at the age of ten. That number is not an accident: it’s possibly the most common age given for when a kid can start their journey. (Note: I love Ash Ketchum. If you wanna make fun of him, make your own post.)
Leon is called unbeatable. He’s never lost an official match. From the outside, this might sound suspicious, but it’s pretty much the same as every player character in every other game. After all, if you lose in a prior game, you’re transported to a Pokémon center and everyone acts like the battle didn’t happen. Protagonists don’t lose, and Leon is no exception.
He’s even got a pair of rivals a la May/Brendan and Wally, Cheren and Bianca, or Hau and Gladion.
But there are two things that set Leon apart from any player character (aside from perhaps Elio/Selene, @Gamefreak you better let us know how the Alola league is doing —) ahem. The first part that sets Leon apart from any player character is that Leon becomes Champion, and he actually stays Champion.
He grows up. He stays strong. He becomes famous, beloved.
This could theoretically be what happened to any of the player characters, after their stories.
So. What kind of person is Leon?
He’s a strong trainer. A given.
He’s a showman, representing Galar’s football-esque league.
He’s responsible: when there’s trouble, he goes to fix it. He doesn’t ask the child protagonists to do the work for him. (Note, too, how his only ally during the game is his rival Sonia.)
But Leon’s most important role in the story of Sword and Shield isn’t that he’s the champion, or that he’s a responsible adult. I mean, sure, those are important, but every champion is important, and Gamefreak has been getting better about letting adults do things.
No, what makes Leon important is that he is our rival’s brother.
That’s the other thing that sets him apart. Our player characters never have siblings. (Yes, I know the character you don’t chose in the Hoenn games has a little brother, but he doesn’t count.) The minimalist family is another part of the blank-slate protagonist design. But Leon, a protagonist who gets to be a person, gets to be a big sibling.
His brotherly instincts aren’t limited to Hop, either. He treats Victor/Gloria similarly: giving them their first Pokémon, teaching them how to catch Pokémon, looking out for them and encouraging them —
How many of us have done the same when interacting with a child new to Pokémon?
(In 2017, I had a very pleasant conversation with a kindergartner telling me how strong his Wishiwashi was. I like to think we learned at least a little from each other.)
So, to recap: Leon reflects the protagonist archetype. He shows what might happen after a player becomes champion. Leon represents anyone who’s been a Pokémon Master since they were a kid.
And in the end, he steps aside when it’s time for the younger generation to take their place.
Nobody’s saying that adults shouldn’t play Pokémon. At a certain age, though, we have to remember that it’s not primarily for us anymore. As adults, we have influence, and we need to be mindful of how we act around younger players.
Are we being kind? Are we being helpful? Are we giving them a safe place to grow?
After all, that’s what being a champion is about, right?

How would you picture Ash’s rivals in the Wrong Kinda Au
* I did both main and lesser rivals.
Gary would be a lot harsher to Ash because of not only for what ever he had against Ash but because Ash also had fallen in love with the “unlovable” pokemon which made him even more weird in his eyes. Though he couldn’t really say anything too rude to Ash or else Ku would actively been on his ass the milliseconds Gary wasn’t in Ash’s field of vision.
Ritchie was still the same but a bit less friendly because Ku had lashed out at Sparky the moment it saw the Pikachu. Ash just thought it was a misunderstanding because he’s never seen Ku do that before to another Pokémon, he had a stern talking with Ku because he could only attack like that in battle or unless it, Ash, or any other Pokémon on the team was in mortal danger. Ku has sulked hard and it would still feint an attack at Sparky when both humans weren’t looking.
Tyson wasn’t as close as he was with Ash and the Hoenn gang because he didn’t end up saving them from the flock of Murkrow because Ku had one shot the bird Pokémon easily. Though he was about to help before the ghost Pokémon started attacking. Ash is a mystery to him because most dark/ghost/poison type mains are very dark and gritty, but Ian Instead he’s very bright and friendly. His Mimikyu makes up for the dark and gritty though.
Paul and Ash have a bit more of as strained rivalry because Ku keeps inhalating Paul’s four whole Pokemon. But other than that its the same as in the Anime.
Morrison was very weary of Ash and his very overpowered, almost Godly, Mimikyu. Especially since it had it out for literally everyone but Ash and it’s team mates. He was definitely on the receiving end of multiple glares and half ment aborted attacks from the ghost Pokémon. Though he still made fast friends with Ash.
Barry is very put off by Ku, he tries to be nice but the ghost Pokémon is just not having it with him. Their not really rivals but more acquaintances at best. Mostly because Ku still tries to swipe at Barry when he starts trying to fine people and it because a weak Shadow Claw attack when he tries and fine Ash.
Conway doesn’t understand Ash, he and his Mimikyu are very unpredictable in battle and outside of it as well. Conway really doesn’t know, and doesn’t really trust Brock and Dawns words, if Ash’s sunshine behavior is a ploy of some kind or if he’s really just that nice. It also doesn’t help that there is barely any kind of information know about Mimikyu’s so Ku is a very big plot hole to his plan when he battles Ash.
Nando is honestly the same as he is in the anime. He’s calm and very polite and is the only trainer since May that Ku doesn’t bat at. Though Ku is very interested in the harp Nando carry’s and plays on.
Tobias is very threatened by Ash’s Mimikyu, his team, and Ash himself. Dawn and Brock are nothing but tiny shadows to Ash’s glory shining sun in Tobias’s mind. Mimikyu ended up knocking out both Darkrai, Latios, and another two more Pokémon on Tobias’s team before personal bowing out of the rest of the fight. Ku had only pushed to battle Tobias first was because it wanted to set a warning to the man. Ash’s next Pokémon, a Dusknoir names Michael of all things, had a bit more trouble feinting his last two Pokémon but it did succeed. Tobias was eliminated in shame and his ego absolutely ruined. It also doesn’t help that all his mythical and Legendary Pokémon he was able to catch/buy off the black market/obtain in another way were taken out of his PO Box’s and the Darkrai and Latios stolen off his own belt without him looking. Later Ash had to have another conversation with Ku but he couldn’t really be mad since Latias ended up now having a new little brother in the end.
Bianca likes Ash the same as in the anime, though she is a bit more calm because Ku had accidentally let out a weak shadow ball in her direction when she came crashing into Ash the first time. Though she couldn’t fault the Pokémon because she did scare it. Her and Ash are fast and easy freinds.
Stephan is a bit more weary of Ku but not as much as Ash. For a trainer to easily command and take complete unrelenting control of any battle like Ash does scares Stephen. it’s really Iris and Cilan that he’s friends with but he won’t tell the black haired trainer that to his face.
Cameron is very curious of Ku and doesn’t really back down when Ku uses it shadow claw to pap the boys intruding face away like a Persian would to a toy. Cameron sees Ash as one of his rivals just like he does in the anime and they share the same friendship.
Trip could never seem to win against Ash and Ku, since Zekrom couldn’t really do what it did to Pikachu in the anime Ku retained its strength and power. Though the ghost Pokémon did vow to kick the dragon type legendary in the face when they meet again and ended up actual level to do it during the Victini incident. Ash actually ends up disliking Trip a lot more than he does in the Anime, if that’s even possible, and ends up not wanting to become rivals with Trip. Though Trip does kinda force it into Aah because of how easily Ku keeps taking down Trip’s whole team every time they cross path and battle.
Virgil isn’t really a Rival but Ku still hates the poor sod and his Eeveelution team.
Tierno and Trevor like Ash but end up kinda becoming more of Clemont and Serena’s rivals more than Ash’s. They like Ash but Ku ends up scaring them just a bit.
Sawyer is now the third person Ku willingly won’t bat at and is one of Ash’s main rivals instead of a side rival like he is in the Anime. Ash is able to easily show that all Pokémon are lovable and that there isn’t an inherently bad Pokémon type out there. He kinda becomes like a little brother to Ash and both Ash and most of his Kalos team adores him and really enjoys the company Sawyer brings.
Alain is very interested in Ash as a trainer more than Ku. like yeah he’s very surprised Ku took down his mega Charizard without really trying but Ash is just more interesting than the ghost type Pokémon. He sees Ash more as a Rival then a stepping stone and is ended up swaying into the group more and more until he’s kinda adopted in and now he’s traveling with Ash and the Kalos gang. He’s also very interested in how Ash immediately doesn’t trust Lysandre or the Lysandres Labs no matter how many good stories and how Alain and Mairin sing their praise about the man. Alain ends up finding much, much sooner then later ago it Lysandres plan and just how evil he and the Labs are.
Kiawe takes a much longer time to trust Ash since he doesn’t see Ash a lot day to day since he lives on Ula’ula with Kahuna Nanu and Acerola. It’s takes about until A Guardian Rematch for Kiawe to even start truly trusting Ash. (Note: Ash takes the Ula’ula grand trial and the Akala grand trial before taking Hala’s) even then Kiawe doesn’t trust Ku with anything.
Hau is literally just the same as the anime but Ku especially hates the boy because of its Alolan Richu. Hau doesn’t take it to heart at all since Ash really likes him and that’s all that matters. Richu does and it’s takes someone else from both teams to get the two to just fucking stop for at least a few minutes.
Gladion is very intrusive like he was in the beginning of the anime and Ku and Ash don’t like that at all. Ku ends up being the meanest it’s been in a very long time and stashing away Silvally in its poke ball on Ula’ula island in the back of Tapu Bulu’s temple. All parties don’t know how in the absolutely fuck Ku was able to do that without Ash noticing it, but Ku did and doesn’t regret it one bit. It takes to actually disobeying Ash after years when it comes to battling Gladion. The ghost type hates the trainer on a barely lesser level then Tobias and is not afraid to cause pain of Gladion tries to dig a second time into Ash’s past with Gods and the likes.

I’m dragging myself away from my twitter to NOT spam the people over there with this pmd shit, bc I have a lot I want to talk about and I keep conveniently forgetting that this is exactly what I made this blog for, ANYWAY
Here’s some reflections/ramblings on the main antagonistic trio(Skuntank, Dusknoir, and Darkrai) and their respective.. “redemption” moments, I guess. Naturally there will be pmd2 spoilers, so if you haven’t played through/seen everything- and i do mean everything, from the very beginning to the end of the post game + the bonus content in sky- then don’t read. Forget I mentioned these three pokemon and experience the story yourself. It’s best when going in blind. Cool? Cool.
So these three are prime examples of selfishness driving your actions and leading you to do less-than ideal things.
Skuntank wants the fame and glamour associated with exploration teams without having to do all the work
Dusknoir is Survival First Consequences Later (so his selfishness is more personal and arguably more justifiable, but still, selfish nonetheless)
Darkrai just has a pure selfish want for power and control. He wants to be The HBIC, and if he’s gotta talk a couple of (admittedly capable) pipsqueaks into offing themselves to do that then so be it
They’re all examples of what happen when you let your wants dictate your decisions, no matter the consequence.
Dusknoir’s change of heart is pretty common knowledge at this point; he’s a good guy who (understandably) didn’t want to get wiped from existence just because somebody else decided they didn’t want the future to exist. We know that outside of Primal’s threats and such that he’s a good guy because he helps people when he doesn’t have to; he helps the hero and the partner before he learns the truth about the hero.
Ofc discovering the truth, he has to do his job, since he doesn’t want to die via nonexistence. He also doesn’t want to get on Primal’s bad side, so him hunting down Grovyle and co. was just the natural choice to him. He doesn’t get “redeemed” until he has to spend time with Grovyle and becomes friends with him. He learns to be selfless through witnessing the actions of others.
Skuntank doesn’t really have a change of heart; he starts off as a grade-a dick and pretty much finishes where he started. He’s self centered and vain and that’s more or less all he’s got going for him-
BUT! But. He does have a single moment towards the end of the main story, where he chooses to give the partner their relic fragment back. I think most people sorta shrug off that interaction as nothing special, but I see it as him at least acknowledging when he’s outclassed and knowing when he needs to stop being petty for 5 seconds and actually help for once.
Because really, he did not have to give that relic fragment back. He could’ve just went “haha, fuck you, good luck suckers” and then blacked out without doing anything. He could’ve just left the hero and partner to pick the relic fragment from his unconscious body and left it at that, but he didn’t. It’s a small moment but it reveals that he’s not bad, he’s just. You know, a dick.
AND NOW for the big one, Darkrai. We don’t know a single thing about him before we’re made aware of him. He could’ve been an angel reborn or been a prime bastard since the day he was born; all we know is that he wants the world to fall to darkness. As well as that, he’s tried no less than twice to accomplish this goal- first with the attempted collapse of temporal tower and again through the distortion of space/nightmare plot. He tries to get rid of grovyle, and fails. Tries to convince the hero and partner to Literally kill themselves in the post game, and fails. He tries to manipulate and then later kill the both of the hero and partner himself at the very end of the post game and yet again fails.
He does everything to spite the hero/partner and is ready to try yet again to end the world even when he’s defeated, and the only thing that stops him is palkia’s interference and some dramatic irony, with a dash of forcibly administered amnesia so that he literally cannot be a threat anymore. Recruiting him, you see that he’s got (for lack of a better term) an edgy persona, but as a whole he’s harmless and willing to join your team.
The main thing with Darkrai is that his “redemption” wasn’t optional on his part. Dusknoir and Skuntank both chose when to stop the act (be it temporarily or for good) and do something good. Darkrai never has that chance- or rather, he has the chance to be better, but chooses not to be. Because he very well could’ve stopped after his initial plan with Temporal Tower failed, and he doubly could’ve had his change of heart before Palkia showed up at Dark Crater.
I’ve seen people sorta zone in on the fact that he’s not a truly bad person after Dark Crater because of how he is after getting amnesia, and I... wholeheartedly disagree? It makes sense if a bad person whose forgotten they were a bad person doesn’t want to act bad. Because they don’t remember it.
But when we have other “bad” characters- Skuntank and Dusknoir- willingly choose to do or be good despite not having to have that permanent change of heart, Darkrai’s actions don’t need further explaining. He didn’t try to be better because he didn’t want to be better. He wanted to be the overlord of a dark and hopeless world, and he held onto that ideal until it was literally impossible for him to do so anymore- and that change was not because he wanted to, but because he was made to.
And honestly? That’s not a bad thing. Characters that are bad through and through, regardless of their past motivations or reasonings or whatever, are not a bad thing. Everyone does not need or deserve redemption, and that’s okay.
i said this on twitter but, people think the message of pmd2 is “redemption” and i’m not really inclined to agree? i think the message is that anyone is capable of anything; you yourself decide how you want to interact with the world and everyone else. everything falls according to the choices you make, and if you don’t heed the consequences of your actions they WILL catch up to you (ala darkrai)

Kissed by the Baddest Trainer! [KBTBB Pokemon!AU]
(Based off a lot of @maidofstars’ and @catchthespade’s posts. MC is making her way through the towns and getting badges and ribbons, like Nando from the anime, while meeting different people and their Pokémon. Will she run into the eight men from before? What happens to them after they meet her?)
Adventure Log 1
___ smiles as she slips her third badge into its place. The Tropica Badge was hard to get and she nearly lost had Togepi not jump in and use Metronome. That move summons a Giga Impact, rendering Whimsicott unable to battle. After shaking hands with the Gym Leader and being a good sport, ___ goes to a PokéCenter for her team to heal. She was lucky to survive with the four she has on hand. While she waits, she makes her team’s favorite foods: Togepi's favorite Poffins, Minccino's berry tart, Deino's Honey Milk and Gyarados' kibble. When the bell sounds, ___ gets her Pokémon and lets them out in a hotel room so they can eat. "You all deserve it," ___ smiles. "Great job." They all cheer with happiness then return to their meals. ___ still smiles over how her Deino loves mixing Combee honey and Miltank milk together. To her, it's the cutest thing ever. A fierce Pokémon with a weak spot for sweets. ~*~ "Excellent Snorunt," Soryu grins while scooping up the Poké Ball. "You have a new teammate." "Sno Snorunt," he agrees. "Now to get Dragonair familiar with the others," Soryu sighs. He knows it's not easy to get it to be familiar with everyone as it is actually the Dratini he was forced to release as a child. Soryu was happy to see his childhood friend but neither had a happy reunion as it was still bitter about being left behind. He needs to find Mei Ling or Chisato for their help in getting Dragonair comfortable with him again. ~*~ Ota smiles at the crowd with a wave after opening the competition with a beautiful performance with Furfrou. /Just another few seconds,/ Ota grimaces behind his sweet facade. /I'm sick of these displays already.../ When the announcer mentions that the show will be starting, Ota leaves the stage on an elegant bow. The second he was backstage, he lets out a ginormous breath of relief. Ever since that day, he never really had a chance to stop being so fake. While training and teaching ___ Ota feels his old spark coming back. It wasn't easy but it was sure something that gives him a great sense of purpose again. En route to his room, he gets a huge surprise. "What are you guys doing here," he whines. "This isn't a good time for a meeting..." "We have another problem on our plates," Eisuke complains. "Since our last meeting there's another group that flourished under our nose." "I'm still not able to get their main base of operations," Baba adds. "There is no way of knowing where these Magikarp sellers are." "What?! Why are they selling Magikarp," Ota shrieks. Shuichi shrugs at that. "I have also seen the sad decrease in Farfecth'd too," the Connoisseur mourns. "The poachers obviously know where their breeding grounds are." "Even traveling I run into those goons and they are a pain," Hikaru's voice crackles over the Holo Caster. "There is almost no end to them. Even Team Suzumushi is struggling to keep hunters from getting their Pokémon," Soryu groans from his Holo Caster. "And the rescued Pokémon are in terrible shape," Mamoru frowns behind his pipe. "E'en the doc ain't able to keep up with 'em. Same with other Poké Centers." "I thought you were able to reach him," Eisuke snarls at the detective. "I did but he hung up. Whinin' over how there's too many injured Pokémon that he needs to get himself and his own healing crew to sleep," Mamoru whines. "I've never seen Doc's office that full... that recent raid was bad." The last word leaves an unsettling feeling in the air. The hunters and their black market crews use old or long abandoned warehouses as their bases. Ota can sense from all of them gathered, physically present and not, can tell that the one that stuffed Luke's Center and several others to almost maximum capacity the raid had one too many in bad shape or not well cared for. This is going to be a multi-region project that can only span so far. They need someone who can help where their fame can't reach. Ota holds press conferences for the awareness and Eisuke makes advertisements. But it's still not enough. Baba's information network is still digging and Ota knows there are some things that Baba can't steal or get. He glances at Hikaru's flickering image and knows that he can only do so much as well when pushed to his limits. He studies Shuichi and notices that he's frowning over something on his Pokégear. Then it hits him. "How about ___? She can relay some information regarding whatever city she's in," Ota brings up. "We will need her permission," Eisuke points out. "I'll contact her and we'll meet in two days to discuss what she does and doesn't need to know." Ota nods with the others then watches the rest of the show from the monitor as the rest leave or end their call. ~*~ "Luke... Luke..." Luke opens his eyes to slits then realizes that Iris is in his office. He bolts upright. "Who," he starts. "Dusknoir told Gothitelle," she replies while hugging her doll, looking scared. "How many more Pokémon need to be healed?" Luke shrugs at that. He can't be too sure and there's only so much he can do on a short time crunch of treating many Pokémon at once. Including rehabilitating them and releasing them into their appropriate areas. He's also taking care some of the Pokémon ___ captures while on her journey. He can tell the difference yes though he won't admit that it is getting frustrating that his Center is getting filled with so many Pokémon that he's been switching Chansey and Audino so one can rest and the other heals. "Luke... is it really that bad," he hears Iris whisper and turns to look at her from the notebook he had been writing in. "These hunters and poachers..." Luke bobs his head with a grin face. He didn't need Iris's ability to see Auras to know how bad their conditions are. If only... "Hey what's this Aura over there," Iris quizzes and Luke turns to see his Key Stone trinket box. "Of course," he grumps in irritation. "Why didn't I think of it?!" "Think of what," she puzzles as he picks up the item. "I almost forgot that Audino can Mega Evolve," he grumbles. "When mine and Audino's heart are as one, he can turn into Mega Audino." "Does it make things worse," she frets. He turns to his sister with a big smile. "His powers and attacks are stronger. Healing Pulse is more effective too," he laughs. Luke feels like he can finally sleep now. Thanks to his sister. ~*~ Eisuke nods at the end of his Pokégear at ___ then hangs up. He didn't tell her everything but was unhappy at how she already knows a bit about the poachers and hunters already. Worse is that the hunters have been trying to get her Minccino. He's actually angry about that. No one can pick on her Minccino except for his Persian alone. He makes a few calls then hangs up again. Juggling his business while funding Team KōriRyu and scouting areas is hard work. Eisuke glances around then lets his team out. His shiny Vespiquen hovers near Emploeon while Houndoom plays with Persian. Serperior and Kingdra are both talking but the scene didn't ease Eisuke's mind. Not even Ninetails could. All seven look at him and he shakes his head. Persian and Ninetails both nudge him with soft head butts. Vespiquen darts to a small door and pulls out a small jar of honey. A coffee cake rests on a hot plate and Eisuke nods. He recalls Ninetales the same second a knock echoes. A coffee cup is set and the employee leaves. "What to do," Eisuke murmurs. "We aren't getting anywhere with these groups and Pokémon Hunter F is still out there..." He calls Mamoru who tells him that he's working on Pokémon Hunter F and will bring information to their next meeting. Eisuke chuckles at that. He'd never meet the hunter but for a person at their profession and letting a detective get wind of their actions is a professional slip up. "Some people," Eisuke chuckles under his breath. ~*~ A worried man runs down the hallways of a large air carrier to a grand door. He pounds on it and a cold "Enter" is his answer. The man slams it open and pants. "Sir, we have a problem," he gasps. "We can't find the Growlithe who can use Thunder Fang!" "Keep looking or it's your head," the figure from the desk snarls. The man pales, nods then runs away while banging the door shut. F slips their visor off and sneers a smirk. So far they don't know who she really is yet. Save a small handful. They look at a small picture frame with a sad sigh. It is a picture of them with ___, Chisato and a few Sakiko sisters as children. ___ doesn't know and same with Chisato. But a few of the Sakiko siblings do. What are they to do?...
Author’s Note: Now this is the tricky bit on making the Gym and Badge names with the various Contests. I’m going to use anime for Gyms and games for Contests. Who is Pokémon Hunter F? We’ll just have to wait and see. I got the idea from Vocaloid songs Phantom Thief F and Pirate F. F means fantastic for both songs and I’ll do the same. But I will give a clue: F knows MC, Chisato and Sakiko.
And I got the idea of the Sakiko siblings from the Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny families in the franchise. I realized that there is no way that one Sakiko can manage a chain and meet MC each time so I made it a last name instead of a first. The restaurant idea is from @catchthespade and @maidofstars regarding Sakiko that I couldn't resist taking it a bit further and making a restaurant chain. ... I’ll think of a name at one point but for now... can anyone guess who F really is?

Let’s give a round of applause for this season’s coaches as they will spend the next 15 weeks (then playoffs) battling it out to determine who is the PDL Season 2 Champion!
I’ve announced the coaches in their pick order for the draft. Quick recap: The PDL drafts in a snake style format where pick will go 1-24 for Round 1, then 24-1 for Round 2, with this alternating every round for 10 rounds. I know a lot of the coaches have already started strategizing what they would like to draft and how they think things will play out. Now that the pick order has been released, most of the planing gets scrapped and you can revise your strategy from what is most likely to be available. For example if you are pick 24 in the draft, it is very unlikely that Tapu Koko will still be up for grabs, so you should probably not plan your draft around not getting Tapu Koko. However, if you are in one of the first spots, you only need to have a couple of Round 1 picks planned and there are quite a bit of very powerful R1 picks, so choose wisely!
How to create a good backup plan
It is almost inevitable that in a 24-person draft league that you will be sniped when trying to pick a Pokemon. It happens to everyone, and the better prepared you are for those snipes, the better your draft will turn out. This starts  with a good plan. Let’s say you want to complete that famous Fire-Water-Grass core, and you already have a Fire- and Water-type, and there is a good 30ish picks before your chance to take a good Grass-type. Depending on the draft and how many people have their own Grass-type, they might start all start getting grabbed. There is a trend in draft leagues once one person starts branching out into a popular type or role, everyone follows suit to try and get the next best option for their team. To avoid panicking and making a bad choice, it is always a good idea to list down all the viable Pokemon of the given type you are trying to get by their tiers. This way in the draft you can see which ones get taken and what still remains for you.
So you want that Grass-type and let’s say Shaymin was your top option and that gets taken, but  you still have the option of Roserade in the same tier. However, right after Shaymin someone else snags up Roserade. The top 2 on your list are gone, however you can still get Decidueye, which you have placed at your third spot. The person right before you takes Decidueye… what are you going to do? Luckily, pokemon has given us a plentiful amount of grass types over the years so there are many options still available like; Dhelmise, Whimsicott, Tsareena and if you decide to branch into T2/T4 there are more options like Breloom, and Rotom-M. The more you prepare what other mons you can take to fill the roles you want the better your draft will go. You will be able to make your pick, both with something that fills the roles and without the sense of panic that draft day can be infamous for.
Interview with Commissioner Ozzy
Clod9: Welcome Ozzy and thank you for taking the time to answer some questions about the PDL. To start, You have been around since the beta draft, and over the course of Beta to Season 2 of PDL there have been a lot of changes between Mons getting put in different tiers, new mons being added and different rules. What would you say has been the biggest change to PDL since beta?
Ozzy: Starting with the big question!  I was there at the start only as a coach initially, I wanted to get better at battling and saw that as an excellent opportunity, which it was. The beta then evolved into the PDL we know now. The most obvious and biggest change in my opinion is the number of coaches. In the beta there was only 8. We then triple that for season 1. This became interesting to manage in season 1 but for the most part we had excellent coaches that were keen to compete every week.
C9: I know there has been a lot of comments on the tiers, for those that think something is mistiered, what would you say is the best way for them to get their voice heard? (You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to)
OZ:The tiers have changed. To start with we used an existing template originally for the Beta and Season 1. We have tried to make things fair for both the experienced coaches and new coaches, finding that balance is hard. I am still relatively new to draft format and even battling so I do rely on the other commissioners to make the really hard tier decisions. After Season 1 we published a survey for coaches to voice their opinions to improve the season and I took the time to read them all. Some changes will reflect their opinions. But at some point we have to accept we can’t make everyone happy, but we try. Unfortunately by the time this article comes out I can see it will be too late to make any changes. But maybe we may take in any additions, there is no harm in asking. PM me to get that pokeball rolling.
C9:Much isnt know about the Beta league; how did you do/ what kind of team did you draft?
OZ: First rule of Beta League, you don’t talk about Beta League……….
Well fortunately I still hold the Beta Hub that I can refer to for this question.  I do remember that we actually did the draft over like 1 week, for 8 guys! It felt like it would take forever. I would be submitting my choices whilst walking the dog sometimes!
So I was relatively inexperienced to battling at the Beta, actually ‘relatively’ is a complement. So the type of team was a collection of mons the did not necessary have any synergy and if they did, I didn’t know it.
M-Gyarados
Garchomp
Mamoswine
Tangrowth
Dusknoir
Raichu
Victini
Crobat
Togetic
Registeel
The beauty of having only 8 coaches is the amount of mons available to you. And now looking at the team it wasn’t to bad a team. I ended up 6th with 4 wins and 4 losses with a 0 differential so I couldn’t complain about that performance either
C9: How did that team vary between beta and last season?
OZ: So season 1 team consisted of:
Garchomp
Slowbro
M-Mawile
Uxie
Breloom
Torkoal
Electivire
Chatot
Scolipede
Regirock
Garchomp was a favorite of mine in the Beta so wanted that straight away and I like the bulk of the Regi’s. Rest of the team was different and I tried to create a balanced team. I was happy with this bunch of mons though they did me well, even Chatot got some kills.
C9: You drafted Registeel and Regirock the last two seasons, can we expect a Regice this season?
OZ: Quiet possibly……
C9: It seems like you have learned a lot and improved drastically since Beta to Season 2, how do you think you will fair going up against some new coaches and some returning veterans?
OZ: Well I suppose I have, but when you have 0 experience the only way is up!  I am a big believer in learning from your mistake and I made a lot of them! But more importantly, members of the community were a great in help, providing me with advice and tips before during and after battles. I don’t accept to be winning the crown in season 2 but I am aiming for playoffs this season! The biggest thing for me though is to enjoy myself.  Even if it ends in a loss, as long as I had fun that’s what counts. Cheesy but true!
C9: I know last season that you just missed playoffs by tiebreakers. Does that sting or is it just more motivation to go for it next season?
OZ: No it didn’t sting. I started off the season poorley and to get to a possible playoff spot was a real surprise. I couldn’t have asked for a better finish.
C9: What was your favorite mon on your team?
OZ: Well I want to say Garchomp but thats an obvious answer and slightly boring. M-Mawile interested me during the summer league.  A certain gym leader had one and I would always find myself having a hard time with it. So I wanted her for the PDL. Mandy was a good lass, with me at the helm she managed 8 kills.  Looking through the data though Garchomp got 10. So Georgina wins it.
C9: Would you share one of your craziest sets that you ran in PDL and if it worked?
OZ: Not running EQ on Electivire! I’m still learning sets and going crazy seemed a bit too ambitious last season. Maybe this season I will feel more confident.  One of my proudest prepared mons was a Taunt, Nasty Plot, Heat Wave chatot. I won’t bore you with the battle but it was one of the battles commentated on the YouTube channel.
C9: You also do a lot of the behind the scenes work with the doc, which looks amazing by the way, did you learn to do that on your own or did you have prior training beforehand?
OZ: Why thank you. Not really, apart from usual stuff I got taught at school many years back. It has been mainly self taught with some assistance. I had looked through other examples to point me in the right direction. I enjoyed making it though.  Even the hub evolved during season1 which I have yourself to thank for. This season I have made some improvements so it runs smoother as well. Even potential new segments for PDL coaches and non PDL coaches to take part in.
C9: Ok lets learn about you as a pokemon Fan. When did you start listening to PUCL?
OZ: It will be about 1 and a half years now I reckon.
C9: What pokemon generation did you start with?
OZ: Gen 1!!!! However I didn’t play Gen 3 – 5. I only got back into it at the back end of Gen 6.
C9: What is your favorite region?
OZ: Kanto, probably for nostalgic reasons.
C9: Who is your favorite pokemon?
OZ: Arcanine. I love dogs and that was the first dog pokemon I came across.  Well growlithe was but Arcanine is bigger!
C9: If you had to pick: Attack or Special Attack?
OZ: Attack,  There is that saying, the best form of defense is attack.
C9: What is your battle style:  Stall/Hyper Offense/Bulky Offense/Balance?
OZ: I have a new style its called hyper confused. Both me and the opponent can’t figure it it!
C9: Do you prefer Speed or Trick Room?
OZ: Speed
C9: What is your favorite Weather; Hail/Sand/Rain or Sun?
OZ: Living in the UK it always rains so not that! I would like the Sun. No actually that doesn’t work either that can get uncomfortable. It’s snowing here at the moment so hail isn’t my favorite. However sand brings back bad memories, it get everywhere! So the winner is……. A nice spring day. That ability is coming in Gen 8.
C9: Electric/Misty/Grassy or Psychic Terrain?
OZ: Electric terrain so I don’t fall asleep.
C9: Favorite status to inflict: Sleep/Freeze/Paralysis/Burn or Poison?
OZ: Paralysis if that helps me be quicker I am all for it.
C9: Have you watched the Pokemon anime? If yes, what is your favorite Theme song? I’m personally a huge fan of Pokemon Johto.
OZ: I want to be the very best! Like no one ever was!
C9: Thank you so much for taking the time to talk with us today. I know you are rebranding your team for this season of PDL, would you like to announce that now?
OZ: Well in the Beta League we had the Darlington Dusknoirs
Season 1 was the Essex Electivres
Season 2 I have been seeked out to coach the infamous London Landos. I am very excited to see what they bring this season, the potential is there for sure!
C9: And are you ready for this season of fun and excitement?
OZ: OOOOOOOOO YES!!! Good Luck and most important Have Fun coaches!

Lily’s Responses
QuilLynn:
Hey QuilLynn! Glad to see you’re still opinionated as ever. I didn’t expect you to put on any sort of fake niceness for this. Thanks for the question.
So, first, let me address the part about how giving credit to my competition makes me look pathetic. I’m simply showing respect for my fellow players who made it to the finale with me, even if it isn’t 100% deserved, and I think that that’s, like… the baseline expectation for a good finalist, the way I see it. It’s unfortunate that some people can’t even meet that, but I digress. Second, I’d like to address your comment about the idol play. Yes, I know that from an outside perspective, it may have looked like I just gave it to him and asked him to play it on me. It makes sense why you’d think that, honestly, but it wasn’t the actual story behind this, so let me tell you what actually happened. So, I figured, upon hearing that my name was out there, that an idol was all that could save my ass. Obviously I was wrong, but whatever. Anyway, I managed to actually find one soon after hatching my plan, and I managed to do the puzzle and get that done. But once I had the idol in my hands, a new problem came to mind. Looking at my past seasons (or at least, the ones where I’ve had idols and was deciding for myself what to do), I saw the pattern that I wouldn’t really play idols very accurately, and I wanted to take that personal flaw into account. So, my way of making sure things wouldn’t go to shit was to give Andrew the idol, and I told him not to play it. I mean, he didn’t listen, but I digress. So, that wasn’t really my plan, for him to play it on me and negate a whopping one vote, but I see why you’d assume that and it’s a fair enough question. To address the complaint about me “hibernating up Andrew’s ass”, this might just be due to how I was somewhat clueless when you ended up leaving the game, and also potentially in terms of how I ended up playing after your vote. It may look like I was just playing things in a “boring” manner, but then again, it wasn’t like many big moves were made at all this game after the super idol. Things were rather mundane, even if votes weren’t unanimous, going forwards. However, I don’t think my gameplay can be painted as me just sitting in the sidelines and sticking like glue to the majority, even if I managed to stay in that aforementioned majority. A good portion of my moves had to do with both jury management and keeping myself safe, whether it was making myself less of a target to the opposing side or making sure that my allies were on my side. And, just as one last note, I find it a bit funny that when my game was largely social and had to do with jury management, you drag it for being pathetic, and yet you also end up dragging Andrew for his lack of jury management. Hm.
Jacob:
Thank you very much for your question(s)! I appreciate them, and will answer to the best of my ability.
In terms of the three pillars of Survivor gameplay, I’d say I probably value the social game quite a bit, despite some people potentially thinking that I relied on my immunity wins to make it to where I did. Like I described in my opening statement, the first swap was where I began to work to establish various alliances with players who I would find myself working with as the game went on (mainly you, Jay, and Andrew), which obviously relied on very good social skills. Then, once the merge came, I found myself on the bottom for a short while, but was able to once again utilize my social skills (and those past connections) to pull myself into a majority that let me make my way to the end of the game where you see me now.
On the topic of #Furbygate, people who were there that first night probably remember that I was closely sticking by Trixie’s side. I didn’t initially realize or even suspect that it was faked, and I’ve seen lots of people being made fun of in the past for special interests or things that traumatize them. I didn’t want to be one of those people thinking “lol it’s probably just a joke” and teasing her over it, in case it was real and I might’ve created a divide between us. It’s best to err on the side of caution in these scenarios for that very reason. And once I found out it was fake, I was shook.
When it comes to my immunity wins, it really depends which one you’re looking at. The plan might’ve been to vote me at Final 9 had I not won there, but it might’ve ended up somewhere else (like the super idol with Andrew and Nehe) regardless of my immunity, so that’s really a bit of a toss-up, although I have a slight suspicion that I might’ve been one of the early merge targets. As for the Final 4 win that guaranteed my seat here in the finale… I definitely feel as if that was a moment where I needed it. Not only would it leave Nehe as a threat to win, but I’d probably be left as the one on the bottom, either in a fire-making challenge or in just a straight up 3-1 vote.
If there was a final 3, and I was the one who was unable to make it (despite Bodhi being kinda absent now), I don’t think there’s any question in my mind that I would vote for Andrew. Not because I’m his puppet or anything, like SOME people might tell you, but because Bodhi was a fucking mess throughout this merge, constantly trying to play every single side in the early votes and throwing my vote away into the void as if I was just a pawn. It completely severed my trust in him, and if he thinks that that’s MY fault, then obviously he doesn’t have any awareness of his social game and how it affects others. Andrew, meanwhile, actually played a decent game and stuck to his alliances, keeping loyal and actually telling the truth when asked for it. I mean, sure, he did have that one silly idol play on me that I tried to talk him out of, but that’s really nothing much in retrospect. As for who I’d vote for from the jury to win… My choice would probably have to go to Jay. He was an obvious threat to win (as evidenced by the fact that y’all voted him out for that very reason), and if he had managed to get further I think he would’ve been a serious threat. And for Fan Favorite… Trixie. Furbygate was honestly iconic. That’s all I gotta say on that subject, especially when I look back on it, knowing it was fake. What a shookening move.
Trixie:
Thanks for the question! Looks like you and QuilLynn are still kindred spirits, just as I remember things. I would say I’m happy to answer your question, if not for the fact that most of your concerns were already addressed in my answer for QuilLynn. If you read that over, things might become clearer. Thanks again!
Nehemiah:
Hey Nehe! Thanks for the question!
So, loyalty means a lot to me too, which is why you won’t often find me flipping on alliances too often unless I think it's the optimal thing to do in order to further the game. In this game, I think my greatest display of loyalty was, in all honesty, towards you, up until final 4. You were part of the main alliance that I was in, even if you didn’t seem fully on board with me being there, and despite your constant votes against me, I always stuck by your side, keeping you on board even when I could’ve flipped things around and taken you out.
Nicholas:
Hey Nicholas! Thanks for the question, and thanks again for not letting your dislike of me factor into your vote. As for your question, I have to thank you yet again, because I've already answered it and won't have to answer another time :P You can consult my answer to QuilLynn for that.
Jay:
Hey Jay! Didn’t expect much else from you with this question :P Thanks, btw. I’ll be basing most of my answers off of side games (mostly Pokémon Mystery Dungeon) that actually give personalities to the Pokémon, for the sake of making this somewhat easier. Jay: Not even in regards to your profile picture, but I’d label you as Grovyle, due to your constant perseverance in games like these, being viewed as a threat, and your unbreakable loyalty to your allies. QuilLynn: My choice for the Pokémon to represent you, QuilLynn, would have to be Skuntank, due to how he constantly chooses to remind the main characters (or in this case, the finalists) that they’re weak and puny (or in this case, incompetent and/or egotistical). Trixie: Trixie, if I had to pick a Pokémon to represent you, I’d go with the great Dusknoir. You manage to paint yourself as being in the right at all times, but no matter how much you try, your scheming (Furbygate) all comes crashing down in the end, being exposed to everyone else. Kinda fitting, too, since you were one of the ones that orchestrated the plan to take out Jay. Jacob: Jacob, I’d say you’re most comparable to Bidoof, due to how you can be a bit of a worry wart on occasion (that idol play, for example, and your worry that Bodhi would be working with the other side and a desire to blindside him), but you’re still trying your best. Roxy: If I had to make a choice, Roxy, I’d choose Wigglytuff. You’re overall a pleasant personality, even if you may seem a bit aloof at times, and although you can get rather serious if you want, you’re often a more light-hearted person. Nicholas: This one’s a bit of a tough choice, honestly, but if I had to pick a Pokémon to represent you, I’d have to go for Uxie. You took on a more menacing personality, like Uxie did with the Groudon hologram, in order to try and keep yourself secure, but it didn’t end up working in the end. Nehemiah: Nehemiah, my choice for what Pokémon best represents you would have to be Nuzleaf (the one choice that’s NOT from the Explorers games), even if it is due mostly to my personal experiences. You made me believe that we were on the same side of everything, despite you having ill wishes towards me, and it never really made me view you as anything less.
Roxy:
I wish I had the time to actually write up a proper Furmit fanfiction, but unfortunately, I don't. So just imagine that I wrote you a story where a Furby named Jake Paul dumped his boyfriend Nick Crompton in order to pursue a relationship with famous actor Kermit D. Frog.
