general opinion:
i think they're neat together! a lot of people are reluctant to ship them together romantically which is like, fair enough etc but it feels like that'd be overlooking their potential for both chaos for the sake of chaos (fun!) and true tenderness between two people who generally might feel pretty misunderstood and isolated from the rest of the team for various reasons (also fun!).
because theyre both on offensive roles i can see them interacting regularly On The Job as well which is always great to write imo.
headcanons:
i generally think scout and pyro are close friends even before becoming romantically involved or whatever...
i like the idea of scout being a bit scared of pyro at first because they're a big question mark, but because scout is this person who finds any challenge worth his time he takes it upon himself to be The First Who Befriends That Weirdo (affectionate).
he'll learn how to decipher pyro's mumbling and learn sign language (which also helps on the battlefield where it's often loud!).

It's actually the fic that got me into HLVRAI in the first place! My friend sent it to me like "I know you're not into HLVRAI but I think you'd like this" and it was right. And now I'm stuck here. All Fools On Deck! Based on @/melonsharks's pirate AU (not tagging them because i don't wanna be annoying), which is exactly what it sounds like. HLVRAI but they're pirates. It's got a load of feels and the sillys and they're so the most, it's 48k words and it just pirate-ifies HLVRAI and I love it sooo much
secure and guard. Post-canon, Benrey's keeping an eye on Gordon but really doesn't wanna go near him because he doesn't wanna hurt him he's protecting him and it causes chemicals in my brain, 4k
bad dreams and soft things, Benrey has a nightmare of Black Mesa and gets comforted and gay kissing and this has one of my favorite paragraphs related to kissing ever it's so soft....... 3k words

Hellllooo Stinkyyyyyy, I've missed you 😭😭😭
It's a bit complicated at work (as usual, lol), but I have the fluffiest thing in my mind.
Sometimes after work I just sit on the floor as a way to decompress (not always working, but I try my best). Chuuya coming home and finding me just staring at nothing as I'm in a fetus position.
He'd be amused the first time "well, that's new"
He'd lay down with me, in front, face to face., slowly moving some strands of hair from the face "hey"
"hey"
"That bad?"
"Mhhh" - he'd brush my cheek with his gloved hands, and give a soft kiss on the lips.
"wanna talk?"
"No"
He'd just hum, and stay like this while stroking my face. Maybe if I'd be extra upset, I'd just push my body into his and snuggle against him for the warmth. He'd happily let me, would stroke my back, drawing circles on my back.
After a while we'd make dinner and have a cute little moment while cooking something together. Something I'd like to do is hug him from behind and say "Thank you".
