So im at work and a really stressed out new mom comes in with their baby (super upset) because they’re couldn’t get childcare in time for their acupuncture session.
And since my boss is a Disney Princess™️ of course she finds no problem with this (it happens all the time). She’s in the treatment room w mom right now alongside a giant stroller. Often time this is the only self care these people get so she knows how badly they need this.
But the thing is that we’ve never had a crying incident (knocks on wood) happen while the mom is receiving treatment. It’s always smooth. The baby goes to sleep if anything.
I was like “Aw maybe the baby recognizes your voice,,” (since she gave them acupuncture while pregnant).
And my boss turns to look at me and said that it’s actually because the baby can feel mom’s nervous system calming down during the session. So that in turn regulates their nervous system.
🤯🤯🤯
That’s so fucking crazy to me
