Logic - Vinyl Days ALBUM REVIEW
Tumblr media
Logic’s retirement from music was very much short lived but he “ended” on a really great note with No Pressure, which was definitely a return to form and easily one of his best albums. I was a bit confused with the release of Bobby Tarantino 3 as it sounded exactly like what Logic said he was steering away from on No Pressure but he later clarified that the project was a bunch of leftover and only came out to help him get out of his Def Jam deal—which is what it sounded like. Vinyl Days marks Logic’s final album on Def Jam, which he talks about heavily on the album, especially on the song Sayonara which is a big thank you note. It’s very much similar to his Last Call song he made on YSIV fashioned after Kanye’s Last Call and J. Cole’s Note To Self. Like the title suggests, Vinyl Days is all about sampling and taking things back to the essence of hip hop’s roots, which Logic has always championed with the Young Sinatra mixtapes. Logic has never been ashamed to show his influences, which I see nothing wrong with especially because the point of the album is that Logic is having fun making the kind of hip hop he grew up on and fell in love. The love for J Dilla and Madlib is quite clear on songs like Tetris and Quasi and pays homage to groups like Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, and Wu-Tang Clan, on songs like Bleed It, Rogue One, and Porta One with RZA. The album plays like a mixtape as there are plenty of J Dilla sirens as well as Funk Flex drops—who acts as the hype man throughout the album as if he was premiering it live on the radio. It’s a pretty cool idea and adds more to the classic hip hop spirit of the album. Logic still sounds like Logic and he does not run out of bars on the album. His flow is always top notch and his punchlines and wordplay are on point as well. It’s very different from the way he was rhyming on No Pressure as that album was more conceptual and this album’s concept is much more freeform which is a nice change of pace as some songs are brief displays of lyrical exercise, such as the song BLACKWHITEBOY where Logic spits so many bars that it’s hard to keep up. Though Logic pays a lot of homage to his inspirations, he still makes plenty of time for more original sounding songs like Clouds which sounds like classic Logic. My one issue with that song is that the Curren$y verse with the different beat seems like it was tacked on at the end for no reason. It would have made more sense if he rapped on the same beat. Logic does rap a lot for the sake of rapping but there is more focused content on the album such as the song Therapy Music with Russ as they both share their perspectives on what therapy has done for them while also dropping plenty of hard bars. The soulful beat on the song Breath Control with Wiz Khalifa also sounds like a mix between vintage Logic and Wiz while the drums remind listeners of their previous collaboration Indica Badu. Early Logic collaborator C Dot Castro reunites with Logic for their first song together since 24. Not only does Logic show up to rap, but his impressive guest features did not hold back with some amazing verses such as Nezi Momodu whose verse was so great, making for the best first impression ever. Action Bronson’s verse is one his best in recent memory and Royce’s verse has such incredible rhyme schemes that it takes multiple replays to catch all of it. AZ’s verse shows that he is sharper than ever and Blu’s verse on Orville shows why he’s one of the best. The only things I really didn’t like about this album were the length as it is obnoxiously long, the many voicemails left by different celebrities that make up the interludes messing with the flow of the album, Like’s verse was too short and The Game’s verse didn’t really fit the song despite it being very good. I love how Logic gave each featured guest the perfect beat for them to rap over, leading to my next point which is that the production is fantastic. It’s nothing new for Logic or in general but it is great quality classic boom bap with great chopped samples and loops. The hints on this album to his next album College Park have me curious about what Logic’s independent career is going to look like because Vinyl Days is an excellent way to leave the label he’s been signed to since his first album and marks that Logic’s place as a true student of hip hop who is free to experiment has been solidified whether you like him or not.
Fav Tracks: Tetris, In My Lifetime, BLACKWHITEBOY, Clouds, Therapy Music, Ten Years, Orville

Shoutout to @catnatch for being a visionary!!
I couldn't escape the thought of "wouldn't it be funny if the IT had a themed group costume party and told Yu the theme was one thing when he was the real theme and then they all did the Catnatch-patented 🙂👍 pose."
I told Cat she should pick what Yu thought the theme was and Cats the Musical is such a great pull....it's so perfect!!
Thanks, Cat!!

You won't impress Slovenians by singing in English
After two albums, Cvetličarna, Križanke, Exit, and Eurovision success, now a sold-out Stožice arena.
Tumblr media
Jan Peteh, Kris Guštin and Nace Jordan are still amazed by their success abroad. Photo: Leon Vidic
The group Joker Out, consisting of singer Bojan Cvjetićanin, drummer Jure Maček, guitarists Kris Guštin and Jan Peteh, and bassist Nace Jordan, is riding the wave of their Eurovision success and reaping their first international successes. We talked to the band's string players about international breakthrough and tonight's concert in Stožice Arena, which has been sold out for a while.
I first saw you live years ago at the Ljubljana Castle lapidarium. What's your view on gaining concert mileage?
Kris Guštin: Without smaller gigs, you never make it to big ones. Each gig adds something to your experience. The more unusual it is, the more you learn from it. We've had quite a few unusual gigs.
Which place that you performed at did you find the most unusual?
Jan Peteh: Postojna cave was probably the least typical concert venue we've performed at. I think I didn't need additional reverb for the hall, but I had it because of the radio broadcast. It was a really unusual concert for us because it was for a seated audience, which we're not used to. We're also not used to stalactites hanging above us. (Laughter.) Kris Guštin: Eurovision was also a very special performance. Completely different from anything we were used to up until that point.
Were you scared at all?
Kris Guštin: It's quite an imposing feeling when you step onto that empty stage during rehearsals. Luckily, you have eight performances in front of an audience before the live broadcast. So there's no big panic, but it is weird because you have to look at the cameras. It doesn't matter what your hands are doing, because everything, other than singing, is playback. You have to be focused on how you're moving, not what you're playing.
That wasn't very natural for you.
Kris Guštin: No, but on the other hand, I think we happily accepted the challenge of Eurovision. Nace Jordan: I'm the freshest member of the band, so I haven't performed in unusual places with them yet, because we were already performing on bigger stages by then. However, before that, I played in many weird places with other bands. Kris Guštin: For example, Nace played at my prom. (Laughter.) I didn't know that at the time, but I remember dancing to Silvija. It was the best.
Our last interview was before your double sould out concert in Ljubljana's Cvetličarna. At that time, I gave my article the visionary title of The hottest young band. That was followed by, among other things, Križanke, Exit, Eurovision, and now the sold-out Stožice arena. It's almost like it was all self-evident.
Jan Peteh: Should we expect the title 'the hottest old band' now? (Everyone laughs.) Kris Guštin: It's not that self-evident. I'm actually torn about this. On the one hand, it seems like everything happened naturally, step by step. On the other hand, we sold out Stožice arena months ago already. Maybe the sold-out Stožice arena isn't even that important, what's more important is that we brought the Slovenian language abroad with our music. That's even more unusual to me. I think that we were physically and mentally well-prepared for every new step we reached, and that we reached it at the right time, when we were mature enough. Nace Jordan: A lot has been happening to us recently, so we haven't even really had the time to truly reflect on our past achievements. When you're taking these steps, you don't think about how many you've already taken, but rather, how many you still have to take. So we're focusing more on the steps still in front of us. Jan Peteh: Oh, that was a nice way of putting it.
Relatively quickly, you achieved something that is out of reach for most Slovenian musicians: serious tours abroad. This current one should almost be called "The Sold-Out Tour".
Jan Peteh: We wish we had more time to get to know the cities we perform in, and not just their hotel rooms, concert halls and clubs. You can travel the whole world and not actually see anything. (Laughter.) Kris Guštin: But you do remember the concert halls very well. It kind of scares me that I've gotten used to living in hotel rooms. They're very cold, not homely, empty, and they have nothing you can get attached to. Except having to sleep there so that you'll be fine the next day. It's simply a necessary evil, and it's a lot nicer to come back home, to your own bed.
It's clear that many people abroad have accepted you as their own, regardless of the fact that you're singing in a language they don't understand.
Jan Peteh: That's true. Even in Slovenia, we were already under the impression that you can't know if you will make it by singing in Slovenian. Let alone making it abroad. If you're really daring, you might wish for some success in former Yugoslavian countries. There's also this duality where in Slovenia, you might make it in Slovenian, because Slovenians won't be too eager to listen to you if you sing in English.
Quite a few Slovenian bands started out singing in English and only had actual success when they started singing in Slovenian. For example, Hamo & Tribute 2 Love, Koala Voice…
Jan Peteh: I think it's nice that in Slovenia, we prioritise musicians that make music in Slovenian. But it gets complicated in regards to reaching international audiences. Except with an exceptional opportunity like Eurovision.
Out of all the Slovenian Eurovision representatives until now, you have had the biggest reaction.
Kris Guštin: That is true, but I don't even know how it happened. I was convinced that we would be just another band there, singing in a language no one understands. I believe in our music one hundred percent, but I think that there are tens of thousands of bands in other countries who also one hundred percent believe in their music. Why would international audiences, who will have seen and heard us for about three minutes, accept us as their own? It's clear that we gave something more, but even we can't determine what it was. It's wonderful that a part of the audience received it that way. Now we get to meet them in real life too.
I have a feeling that your audience isn't a typical Eurovision audience.
Nace Jordan: Clearly these days it is. (Laughter.) But I think that the more we perform abroad, the fewer Eurovision fans there are in the audience. When I talked to the audience in Sweden and asked them if they had watched us at Eurovision, most of them laughed at me. Less than half of them said yes. I never would've thought that we would move so quickly from the Eurovision environment to a different sphere. We've probably lost some of our Eurovision audience on the way. Many people don't care about the previous Eurovision anymore and are already looking to the next one. Kris Guštin: I feel like, from the start, most performers aren't counting on having live concerts, but on having a music career on the internet and TV. Maybe a big plus for us was that immediately after Eurovision, we went on a tour, which is still ongoing. We made good on what we were selling before our Eurovision performance, that we want to perform abroad. We added a certain dimension, which reflected in the audience's reaction.

Discovered in the early 1980s at a homeless center in New York City, Melvin Way is now a key figure in contemporary art brut. Having interrupted his scientific studies because of his schizophrenia, he relentlessly covers fragments of papers of mathematical and chemical formulas, sibylline sketches… These dense talismanic notes, which he treasures in his pockets, exhale a rare magnetism. The 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Critics, Jerry Saltz, considers him “a mystic visionary genius, one of the greatest living American artists.” The artist’s works are now in the collections of the MoMA (New York) and the Smithsonian (Washington).
Scraps of found paper covered in writing, numbers, mathematical and chemical formulae, geometric shapes, musical scores, and sticky tape… The density of script layered on Melvin Way’s graceful works gives them a rare magnetism. They reflect his obsession with space and time, while his equations seem intended to calculate the channels between the two; they act as a path of enfranchisement, abolishing the place assigned to us by time and space, thereby opening new vistas to the artist, who sometimes signs his works Melvin “Milky” Way.
Melvin was born in South Carolina and brought up by relatives in Brooklyn. He was fascinated by science at high school, where he also played bass and sang in a group. He was a student at the Technical Career Institute when he developed symptoms of mental illness that worsened over time. His girlfriend at the time was also struggling with drug addiction. He decided to become a musician before eventually finding himself homeless on Wards Island. The artist Andrew Castrucci came across Melvin’s drawings in a homeless drop-in centre in the mid-1980s and set up an exhibition to showcase them. Melvin used a ball-point pen to draw on scraps of paper, scribbling countless signs, forms, and mysterious formulae, some gleaned from books, their secret known to no-one but him. He spends weeks, even months, working on his drawings, keeping them in his pocket or between the leaves of a book, and returning to work on them years later.

Okay, so I got NO work and No writing done today. The weather was too cozy so I just drank lots of tea and listened to music hehe.
So, instead of an LMCH or LBAF update, you get a glimpse into the Lightwood-Bane family in the RWRB AU. I'm so excited for you to all to meet them next week (?).
What was that mean tweet he read at the Jimmy Kimmel interview last year?
President Lightwood’s family looks like the cover of a diversity brochure of a community college.
Max had laughed out loud so hard that he almost fell off the chair. Because despite being mean, it was absolutely hilarious and you gotta give credit where credit is due.
Despite this kind of criticism, the Lightwood-Banes used their diversity to their advantage. They each had their own strength and a target group they controlled.
Dad, who was called the Orion of the Democratic Party - for his targeted initiatives and unmissable victories. His father, if he set his mind to something, always saw it through. Dad had the rich people and the white people and especially the rich white people under his thumb. The Lightwoods were famous long before Dad wanted to become president, so it also helped that their family came from old money and had friends in all the right places.
Bapak, who was nicknamed Saint Magnus, is kind of like a modern-day Mother Theresa – perfectly balancing Dad’s straightforward and no-bullshit personality with soft smiles and gentle words. Bapak, who used to be a refugee himself, got most of the minority votes –including racial minorities and second-gen immigrants. He was very appealing to the liberals - especially the activists and the scholars and the feminists.
People liked Dad. But people were in love with Bapak.
Well, not all of them, obviously.
Just because they have a gay president now, it doesn’t homophobia was dead and equality is achieved.
This is still the real world.
Rafael, who had dubbed America’s Future, is the visionary among them. Because what Rafael lacked in experience, he made up more than enough with his passion. Despite spending all his free time with bapak, if there’s any, and hogging all of bapak’s attention like the unapologetically selfish asshole he is, Rafael is a mini-Dad. Max, who grew up with the man, saw it a long time ago. But the people started to see it too.
However, while Dad had the upper class covered, Rafe wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty – not literally though. Bapak taught him to protect his cuticles.
Rafe is one with the people of the working class. He got his first part-time job at the local diner when he was in middle school, he volunteered for everything damn charity project under the sun during high school and by the time he was in college, he was already helping Dad with his next campaign.
While the rest of his family worked really hard to earn these titles and support, Max had barely done anything at all. He, anointed and appointed as ‘America’s Sweetheart, by the people themselves, just needed to be himself. A sweetheart.
It wasn’t the press the gave him the name. Max’s target demographic is Gen Z and the name turned into a thing shortly after someone random person on TikTok made an edit of him to Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince.
He’s fine it. Honestly, it’s much better than being called America’s Future. Yikes.
Since Max’s key demographic is chronically online and would rather die than go out, much of the work he does is also online. This means he needs to have a consistent social media presence and do the allocated number of livestreams every week and meet the expected number of social media reach every day.
It’s a little exhausting. But it’s nothing compared to what Rafael does, which is to do real work in the real world.
But there you have it.
The First Family of the United States of America.
The Orion, Saint Magnus, America’s Future, and America’s Sweetheart.

Far Beyond Hereafter
Team leader Renee peered out
of her faux gold window around a pulsing Friday noon.
“Almost like we’re puppets of each other down there.
Maybe everywhere?”
Albert, her partner and co-worker were apt to look down on the buzz where their joint venture, their central office, was located.
Quite often hoards of people of all age groups hung out, shrieked with joy, abandon, near the hazy plume cafe.
They were snacking and sharing purchases.
There was rainbow signage to the left of this group promoting all the companies within Renee, and Albert’s brief.
The name of their company was Hereafter Unlimited.
Close and “trustworthy” friends formed this postgraduate 7 person cluster which later evolved into quite a
mind-bogglingly complex concern.
Hair-raising hubs were hatched.
Geniuses one and all created one matrix after another of sequential self-financing companies.
Ideas among them spread like avalanches.
Songs and puns were sung.
They had “flames” or “wildfire” intensity at their fingertips.
They were at the mercy of their own brilliance.
Their aim was to bring countryside joys into every nook and cranny in their chosen capital.
There were bookstores, clubs, restaurants and other outlets named after the multifaceted rustic charms that obsessed them.
Each outlet had a communal dining area to draw in clientele.
The underlying idea behind all these shops, stores, stations
was to have a magnetic pull.
Havens, an escape hatch that would leave an out of this world impression on the visitor.
From energetic background music to kaleidoscopic screens, to elaborately sculpted tables, mahogany tint chairs, azure blue halo moon menus, kid zones in high jinx.
Cascade after cascade of hue swirls in tandem with jubilant dance trope very much in evidence.
A magic merry go round motif underpinned each inventive hub.
Once savoured, never forgotten.
Festivity a frequent festoon, mouth watering smorgasbord without rein running riot.
The element of surprise, key and kernel to atmospheres that thrived on visionary continuum.
Brains in this group were graded according to a binary system.
1 winner 0 as in loser.
A hypnotic mantra often -
“Winner, loser, hopeless chooser.”
There were even signs such as a straight finger for 1 or orb like finger sign for loser.
One might wonder aloud if this clique with their uncanny gestures would fit in anywhere else except this setting of their choice.
Hazy plume, rainbow eucalyptus, sylvan zephyr, amber leaf cascade,
lambent shroud, halcyon xanadu, wonder world cocoon, among the zany names they had thought of.
The staff each had nicknames linked to the above enterprises.
The brainstorming sessions they had had no drama or plot could “match.”
“Often have the feeling we are pawns to our ideas.”
Amber leaf sighed.
Lambent :
“This place is “dead on” for the wrong reason.
Smart is always in season.”
Lambent nodding to his “imaginary” sidekick “Shadow”
that seemed glued to his desk.
After all, they were used to that sort of thing as innovative university students.
This unusual alliance though city based had links to different areas.
But nothing would daunt this oddball eccentric clique and their very imaginative and oft bizarre aims.
They were nothing if not colorful.
They had this impressive office garnished with wallpaper having pictures of their various businesses and the names associated with them.
This franchise had been in existence now for over 5 years.
It was coping to an extent but there was an underlying desire to go beyond that.
A glorified high tek office routine secretly horrified everyone.
Lambent shroud, ICloud expert in the group was perhaps the zaniest of them all.
He had a fetish about hazes and how the term could be used.
Haze was his buzzword and
of course his very own in the ether mate.
He had a virtual sidekick called “Shadow.”
They used to speak to each other in rhymes.
“Hi there, going nowhere shadow.
I’m really stuck. Yuck!”
The other members of the group would tease Lambent Shroud.
They’d speak in groans n puns too.
You’d sense lambent was a little uncomfortable with it all.
The other members of this amazing group were all tall, had numerous quirks, and spoke with crystal clear clarity.
They stood out even when alone.
Their high IQ, articulacy, and physical presence were obvious requirements for this enterprise.
They were constantly with each other hatching plans.
But Lambent may have had a begrudging “one who leads” complex.
But was the cordiality apparent and only for appearances?
Team leader Renee is Hazy and Albert is Rainbow.
The brain sessions were more often than not impromptu.
Hazy, Halcyon and Amber would seem like cerebral archers the way they bounced informal sessions off each other.
The other pairs, bright spark subgroups would have these on the spot conventions.
“Sparks would fly.
High IQ flashes sky high.
We never ever say die.”
Eerie notion, pie in the sky.”
The smart seven chipping in one by one generating a certain heat.
Even fleeting cabals.
Their brain cliques they nicknamed “Bouncers,”
Or “Pools.”
“Blessing and a boon. Under a shimmering moon. You’ll be lifting trophies soon.”
Lambent the awkward rhymer.
Wonder world had a strained crease on his face.
“Crackpot scheme, halbaked dream, eccentric team.”
In reply.
And so the banter used to go until someone ran out of ripostes.
There were daily meetings also on security updates devised by the team.
But there was much nod and wink, subterfuge.
Amber Leaf the accountant controlled the cash flow, dividends, “watertight insurance,” wages, general outlay.
But one got the impression that there was something afoot.
Amber and sylvan nudged;
“Should we rhyme as we speak or maybe tweak til next week.
Isn’t Lambent leaning a lot on his Shadow.
The Alter Ego.”
Who is this Shadow to begin with Amber pried?
An umbrella term!
A watchful eye was maintained.
This most unusual group of mental giants were so astute that they crossed checked each others scheduling and tasks.
It all seemed so foolproof.
Turnover was quite considerable and there were really no grounds for complaint at any point.
But despite the cliques they could anticipate future trends which made sense but by the same token was spooky.
Betimes who actually did what with whom had a blurred demarcation.
When you have such active brain cells, another pseudonym for the catalyst co-op you might be forgiven for thinking at times it might seem monotonous.
“ Heck! What kind of service is this?
Fly in my soup. And that fish is off! And that’s not all.”
Sylvan Zephyr the ambassador was entrusted to diffuse awkward clients.
Shrieking and clamoring, heated exchanges over the phone subside after a protracted row.
One wonders why
Lambent Shroud had this uncanny smirk and one wonders at this stage why?
The wiles of his smiles were like a form of contagion in the region.
A comic contagion if you will was never far from the surface.
“I’ve just had this idea. We could have a different decor.
Like stick on flourishes.”
Halcyon Xanadu peeped.
Once again there’ we’re nods, some almost quasi-religious.
This may seem strange.
Another shuffle, cabal.
Lambent Shroud when not spinning joke shop rhymes, chatting with his shadow might suddenly burst into paroxysms of disdain.
Despite the cerebral nature of this undertaking each member of this esoteric business cult had their finger firmly on the economic pulse, the till.
“I keep checking my apps as asked though I leave the cash flow in reality to Amber.”
Hazy plume, who had the unenviable task of being the all-seeing-eye supervisor, and to keep the ideas surfacing from drifting into vermillion clouds.
“That’s good. Mightn’t be such a bad idea if we made a few spot checks on our hubs.”
Albert, alias Rainbow chimed.
Creativity was this seamless mesh.
But with all the paraphernalia at each desk perhaps sight was being lost of the original concept.
Maybe this might explain the present fractious undercurrent, stilted atmosphere that appeared to dwell within this epicentre.
“YAWN YAWN YAWNS.
WE USED TO DREAM MINT LAWNS.”
A vocal scat from Lambent or the uncanny “Shadow.”
Now and then at any rate.
“Muffled squeaks, awh, so sad,
yikes, bah, too bad.”
The rub, the nub, the hub.
Sometimes the puns were flaccid where they once had flare.
After 5 years the wide-eyed optimism of wanting to bring the green utopia to the steel and concrete jungle of modern city life had somehow peaked, or maybe approaching it.
This wasn’t always obvious, however.
“THUNDER AND LIGHTNING.
HOLY SQUAWKING CROWS.”
Halcyon Xandu.
“I just got a text from one of our hubs. One of the hub computers crashed and there was even some steam generated.
Volume of loud noises reported but calm was restored.”
Suddenly everybody awakened from their stupor despite the seeming hive of activity.
“As far as I can gather the crash was cleared fairly quickly.”
Xanadu again.
Tho a creeping suspicion crossed her face.
Everyone rushed towards a center spot on the floor.
A buzz quite unusual swept across the tight nuclear pulse clique.
There was always a certain surge about this place even during a lull.
All this very macabre in a mild sense conduct might seem like a scheme being cobbled together.
By someone but who knows what that someone is if a someone at all might be.
A prevailing milieu that was taut, tense, tho teasingly trivial constantly at tangents.
“Utter breathless oath,
unearthly surreal cache,
burst of universal apogee indelibly trumpets,
exalted plot as moonbeam stepping stone,
Mecca to a hue-laden vortex,
that sequesters sun-drenched harbors, gurgling stream meanders, moss-fleck tides,
mesmerizing shroud of lambent bayou,
hazy plume on silver waterfall,
scarab mountain chain at sapphire dawn.”
Sylvan Zephyr throwing down the gauntlet and eschewing his tentative role as tactful go-between.
You’ll have noticed the no corresponding taper of sounds known as rhyme.
A sleight of hand from the scheme team within the dream team was at play.
The following day wonder world cocoon did a whirlwind inspection of the various hubs.
Not best pleased.
It looked as if all the hubs were splitting up into subhubs.
The staff were being secretive in all the business operations.
Even certain ideas from headquarters which hadn’t been released yet.
Wonder world spotted rough outlines of change from the corner of her eye relating to the above tract.
Ominous thoughts lurking.
She began to detect a pattern.
“Holy charging elephants.
I smell a rat.
That’s that. Everybody get out of here.
is that clear?”
The complex jewel sensor super sensitive alarm system which had been added to by each member rang out.

Or are they “EXPENDABLES.”
Diplomatic Sylvan Zephyr not so diplomatic.
This incendiary incident shook the other hubs, the people in them and the surrounding area.
The thunderstruck brain camp, most of them gazed incredulously at what was unfolding.
A sky tower inferno of cinder spewing incidents, boom laden choirs with puns, warnings, alerts, rhymes, ones and zeros,
volcanic cackles, surreal demolition, and on the spot disintegrated havoc never seen before.
It ended in a gradual stepwise motion before collapsing into a gradual “Black Shadow Plume.”
This plume decided to hover over
a “Smirk” like structure redolent of “Someone.”

They both spotted “Lambent Shroud” with a retinue that included other hub members, heading towards a country signpost!!!!
At least he was in that coveted dream lead role.
Renee opined. “I hear Lambent whispering to himself about missing something .. ..no longer a puppet? and the sidekick?”
Albert now clued in on this earth shattering denouement that engulfs layer upon eternal layer of tiered narrative.
Renee, Albert, Amber Leaf the reliable and infinitely shrewd person on money flow now swop knowing glances and scrutinise what is left of a once ornate “Landmark” project.
“Where do we all go from here I wonder?
But should we actually be asking that question at all?
We shouldn’t have the nerve or gall!”
Albert reflected with a “Stick On Smirk.”
As the local fire brigade arrives a “Haze” of a more “endowed” kind descends on Renee, Albert, Amber.

Knot On Your Life
Record Collector #266 — October 2001
Slipknot’s recent Iowa album entered the UK album charts at No. 1 — unprecedented for a nu-metal band. Drummer Joey Jordison waxes highly lyrical
(google drive link)
Slipknot’s second proper album, Iowa, was the most eagerly-awaited rock record of 2001, and both critics and fans of the masked nine-man band from Des Moines weren’t surprised when it crashed straight into the charts at the top spot in early September. But to anyone not familiar with the crushing music of this most uncompromising of groups, the sudden glut of media appearances that followed this triumph might seem strange, to say the least. After all, these are people who urinate on stage, offer fans the chance to inhale from rectally-inserted tubes and regularly vomit onto their audiences.
Despite the band’s fearsome reputation, drummer Joey Jordison was on relaxed form as he chatted to RC from his Mid-Western home. In fact, he was willing to provide an opinion on most subjects — so RC fed him a topic, and off he went. If only all interviews were this easy, eh?
A Night In With The Knot
All round to Joey’s…
Imagine you’ve invited us to a party round at your house. What tunes would you play for us? If I’m having a party I don’t really play much metal — because the chicks get more naked if you play something light. Old Bee Gees, or Michael Jackson’s Off The Wall, they’re all good party albums
I read once that you’re into the Cars and Fleetwood Mac. Oh, yeah. The Cars — I really like their Candy-O record, man, it was one of those records that really broke New Wave in America. They were one of the first bands to use the fuckin’ New Wave keyboards in their music, man.
The one-finger thing? Yeah, yeah, yeah, totally! Like ‘Let’s Go’ with that cheesy line that they use, but it’s so infectious. We played it before a show one time — we cranked that entire song through the PA right before we hit the stage. The kids were so fuckin’ loud and pissed off! They thought we were gonna cut the cong but we played the whole damn thing (laughing), just to irritate them.
What about a bit of dance or hip-hop? I like the new Ludicrous record. And chicks often get naked when we play that new Nelly CD for some reason (laughs). I also like the Wu-Tang Clan and Ol’ Dirth Bastard’s solo stuff, and of course old Public Enemy, and the old NWA stuff. I’m much more into the old school — I don’t listen to any of that current shit.
Did you ever get into any grunge at all? For a little bit, although I was pretty strictly devoted to metal. I really can’t stand Pearl Jam though — I’ve never been a fan of them. Alice In Chains was always a metal band in hiding, with a grunge umbrella. Soundgarden’s Badmotorfinger was phenomenal, too.
What about Faith No More? A band I still devote a lot of respect to. Faith No More really turned things around for me — The Real Thing really shaped my awareness of musical styles and using them tastefully. Mike Patton is probably the most talented musician and visionary I’ve ever heard in my life.
Most people might also be surprised to hear that I’m really into glam shit too, in my other band, the Rejects (chuckles).
What — Bolan and Bowie? More like the New York Dolls and Hanoi Rocks, but it’s all good music.
Do you dress up in the appropriate manner on stage? Make-up, lipstick? Yeah, we do. It depends on the mood. But like the famous song said, though, just because I wear make-up doesn’t mean that I can’t kick your ass!
The morning after the party, what mellow tunes would you play for us? Let me check my current crop of albums. I’d probably actually wake you up with some Amen. ‘We came here to fuck you!’ That rules, dude. I love that band.
An unlikely pairing: (above) the Cars, whose ‘cheesy’ synth lines do it for Joey, and (below) the Bee Gees, for whom ‘the chicks get naked’, dude.
Gloom And Doom
The murky depths of extreme metal explored…
The introduction of Iowa’s first song, ‘People = Shit’, is pure Morbid Angel. Fuck yeah! If you’re gonna pay tribute to something, pay it to a band that kicks ass. My favourite Morbid work is Blessed Are The Sick — I think it’s untouchable.
Altars Of Madness was really cool, too. Fuck, that’s old school, man, that’s going back. I think they really came into their own around the time of Domination, when they started using the seven-string guitars.
What other metal bands are you into? I also really like Raging Speedhorn, and I gotta say Immortal’s Damned In Black is one of the finest black metal releases ever.
I thought In The Heart Of Winter was better. Yes, that fucker too — all Immortal is great. They’re one of the prime black metal bands of all time.
Have you got Slayer’s new album, God Hates Us All? Yes — it’s phenomenal.
‘Payback’ is a great song. (sings line from song) Payback, you bitch motherfucker! (sniggers)
Do you like Nile? I love Nile. Black Seeds Of Vengeance — I love fuckin’ Nile! They rule, man.
Poppin’ Out
Joey talks Britney
It’s a good time to be into metal, isn’t it? Look at it this way. Metal always stays here, it’ll never go away, because of the legions of devoted fans, man, they never go anywhere. They are always fucking gonna be there. The music will never go away. It’s been tested time and time again.
On the other hand, cheesy pop like Britney Spears and N’Sync has got a lot stronger at the same time, don’t you think? That’s very true, it’s a good point. Those bands are really big sellers for their labels. They’re all geared towards MTV; then MTV is geared to the kids; the kids bitch at their parents constantly, and then they go out and buy the record.
Sometimes these kids don’t know any better, they don’t know you can go out and get into the underground tape-trading scene, because they’re fed that shit over fuckin’ television. Which is a drug in its fuckin’ self.
We wanna turn these kids on. A lot of them have heard Korn and Limp Bizkit, but they’ve never heard a blastbeat. It’s great that we can turn them on to the underground — like a kid might never have heard of Morbid Angel, and might think that I’m the first guy to ever do a blastbeat and double bass. Which isn’t true.
Is it strange when Slipknot are included in the same nu-metal category as bands like Limp Bizkit and Korn? No. I can’t bitch about it because we are in that nu-metal group. We do have elements of the nu-metal sound, but the fact is, you can tell we come from a place that is more genuine and way more old-school than that.
Grrr!
Reasons to be angry
At the Ozzfest, Corey (Taylor, Slipknot singer) said ‘We’re going to kill everyone in the rock music industry’. Is the relationship between the band and the business really so bad? He’s always talking about that. A lot of the press — obviously not you, because you know what you’re talking about — when we were done with our first record, they said that there was no way we could top it, and were already slagging the second record. And then there’s the fuckin’ leeches that fuckin’ steal money, and the people that misquote you, and people that start fuckin’ bad rumours — and before you know it there’s a whole new list of problems that come with fame.
I’ll gladly take those problems because this is what I’ve wanted since I was five years old, but (getting annoyed) it doesn’t mean that it fucking doesn’t fucking totally fucking goad men, and totally fucking brings me to a fucking boiling point … (tails off in incoherent rage, then takes a deep breath and calms down). So a lot of those things came out, and we had a lot of personal issues when we were on the road. And we;re doing non-stop shows, so every day there’s something going on.
Havin’ It Large
Party on!
Didn’t you go drinking a lot with Casey Chaos when you were on tour together? Yeah, we do these drinking matches. I always lose. I got him one time, though. It took him a while, but he finally got fucked up and fell down the back of this bus — and Casey Chaos never pukes, ever, but he threw up this time.
I sobered up really quickly after I pissed myself in my bunk, and I came back out and I’m like, I’m ready to go again! But he had to go to bed. I may have fallen down first, but I came back for the second round. That’s been the only time.
Can you still get up and play the drums when you’ve got a sickening hangover? Oh, absolutely, dude. I’ve done it a million times. I’m not necessarily proud of it. But when the mask goes on and I fuckin’ slip into the fuckin’ boiler suit, something just happens to me, man. Everything goes away, and it’s all about us and those kids for that hour.
The Past
The bad old days…
Do you ever listen to Slipknot’s demo album, Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat? I never ever listen to it. I’m very proud of where we come from, man, and I’ll never forget where we come from, but … that was a totally different band back then, you know, and it’s not the same.
Did you know that people are paying over £150 in this country for original copies of MFKR, if they can find them? (shocked) Christ almighty. God damn, man … they must really like the band.
It’s a lot of money to pay for someone’s demo. Or do you regard the album as more than just a demo? It’s kind of a glorified demo. It’s glorified in that it sounds really good for a demo — it’s produced really well. But there’s only six people on that record, Corey’s not the lead singer, the guitar players are different — you know, the only original members are me, Shawn and Paul on that.
The first Knot guitarist, Donnie Steele, famously left the band after a religious conversion. Yes. He was like, I found God and this band is not for me.
Even though he’d been in Anal Blast and Body Pit beforehand — two extreme grindcore bands? I guess not. He really wasn’t down with the mask thing either — when it came up he was like, I can’t do that. So I thought, hmm, OK, you’re probably not gonna work out.
Then there was Cuddles … (yawns) Yes … … but maybe I won’t go into that? Don’t. We never talk about that guy (drummer Cuddles, a member of the band from 1997-8, is alleged to be suing Slipknot at the time of writing).
The Future
What lies ahead
You once said that Slipknot is just too intense a band to survive more than a couple of albums. I get asked about that in every interview I do. But it’s cool, because it’s the truth. I think if the band broke up right now — you can call this ego, call it what you want — we might even have some kind of legendary status.
You mean, if you stopped at the peak of your form, before it got stale? Yes, like the Sex Pistols did. They did it right, man, they didn’t fuckin’ let themselves become parodies. And that’s what we plan to do with this band, once I know it’s not working. Because of all the hurt in the band, and the fact that there’s nine of us, I think if it went on too long, it would become a parody, man.
Will your records keep getting heavier and heavier, as they have so far? Well, lots of bands say their next record is gonna be the heaviest one ever, but they’re full of shit. They just say this so their fans will go out and buy it. But I can’t do that to my fans, man, because they’re the ones that got me here, y’know.
Interview by Peter Smith. Many thanks to Michelle Kerr at Roadrunner.

The Monkees in Brisbane, September 22, 1968... and a confrontation between Davy and a journalist. Photos published in the Sunday Truth.
"[At the press conference] Peter Tork also commented that the US had recently cut the budgets of 'visionary projects in favour of military ones.' During this press conference an unfortunate incident occurred between Davy Jones and a Channel Nine television reporter named Keith Sharpe. The Courier Mail reported that Sharpe 'riled the group from his first question' - 'When do you think you might break up and try something like music?' - 'It was a losing battle but Sharpe kept on.' According to the Sunday Truth newspaper Sharpe had also questioned The Monkees on why they shouldn't be sent to Vietnam. As the interview deteriorated Davy Jones picked up a glass of water and began to pour it over Sharpe's head. In turn this provoked Keith Sharpe who grabbed another glass of water and hurled it into the face of Davy Jones. Keith Sharpe was immediately ejected from the press conference by 'two bouncers.' The next day the Courier Mail published a photograph of Davy Jones with a wet shirt and hair with the headline - 'Monkees' Davy dries off after water-throwing[.]' The Sunday Truth newspaper went further by interviewing Keith Sharpe about the incident, '..I'd do the same again in the same circumstances,' he told the newspaper, 'I didn't think it was funny then, and I don't think it's funny now...nobody does that to Keith Sharpe and gets away with it.' The Truth devoted nearly an entire page to the story." - The Monkees Make A Splash In Queensland, State Library of Queensland blog, September 28, 2012

Tomorrow X Together And Jonas Brothers Kickstart Summer With ‘Do It Like That’
Tumblr media
The sunny anthem was produced by super-producer Ryan Tedder
Tomorrow X Together and Jonas Brothers have teamed up on “Do It Like That,” a contender for this year’s biggest summer anthem.
The two global superstar groups have joined forces alongside super-producer Ryan Tedder, who helmed the track, crafting a bright and breezy pop banger to kickstart the summer holiday season.
Jonas Brothers take charge of the first verse and chorus before passing the baton to TXT. Later, the two groups come together, unified in awe at the person they are singing about. “Oh my God, don’t know how you do it like that,” they sing in the chorus. “Blow my mind, but somehow you bring it right back.”
In the infectious “You sendin’ signals and those waves go far/Got people dancin’ up on top of their cars” refrain, the two acts swap lines – a back-and-forth collaboration between two icons of the world pop scene.
youtube
In the accompanying music video, Jonas Brothers appears behind instruments, while TXT delivers its trademark polished and addictive choreography.
“Do It Like That” precedes Tomorrow X Together’s upcoming Japanese album, Sweet. The record will be the boyband’s second full-length release in the language and follows 2021’s Still Dreaming. It will arrive on August 4 and will feature a total of 12 songs. Among them will be Japanese versions of some of the group’s Korean originals, including The Name Chapter: Temptation’s lead single “Sugar Rush Ride,” 2022’s “Good Boy Gone Bad,” and 2021’s “0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You)” and “MOA Diary.”
Days after that album’s release, TXT will headline Lollapalooza in Chicago, following in the footsteps of its HYBE labelmate J-hope of BTS, who topped the bill at the festival last year.
Meanwhile, in Jonas Brothers news, the trio released its latest album, The Album, in May via Republic Records. The record features a collection of 12 brand new tracks, executive produced by sonic visionary artist and producer Jon Bellion (Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, Halsey). From stadium-ready anthems to moments of candid introspection, The Album finds Jonas Brothers kicking off a monumental chapter and releasing their boldest, brightest, and biggest offering yet.

Lee Taemin has been a K-pop idol for more than half his life, and has embodied innovation and ingenuity throughout his career. The 30-year-old began making music at 14, and has cemented himself as the industry's ace.
Taemin debuted as a member of group SHINee in 2008 and began work as a soloist in 2014. He is also a member of K-pop supergroup SuperM.
At his core, Taemin is a visionary dedicated to his craft. He constantly strives to challenge himself, pursuing new concepts and different angles to his artistic identity with each release. His work is hard to qualify, with the artist describing it "Taemin-cliché."
And "Guilty", his latest offering, sets the stage for a new era.
"Preparing for this album, I feel like it's a fresh start," he told USA TODAY.
Taemin pulls back the curtain on 'Guilty'
Tumblr media
Taemin's fourth mini album "Guilty" released Oct. 30. The six-track EP is the artist's first solo release in two years. His last EP "Advice" in 2021 came before he enlisted for South Korea's mandated military service.
The atmosphere of "Advice" felt as if it closed the curtain to a period, said Taemin. As a result, "Guilty" acts almost like a reintroduction to who Taemin is as an artist.
"Making too much changes felt like it's too risky, but I wanted to take that risk if there was an appropriate track ready," he said.
"Guilty" proved to be that risk worth taking, serving as the helm of a mini album that presents new aspects to Taemin, while also strengthening his established skills.
In the EP, Taemin traverses various moods and tones, journeying through guilt, heartbreak, melancholy and love. Through this EP, Taemin wanted to create a "color that covers what I have been doing in my career."
'Guilty' encapsulates Taemin's artistry
youtube
The concept of "Guilty" took inspiration from the book "Erotism" by Georges Bataille. "As an artist, it is my job to be more appealing and more attractive. I wanted to understand what attracts other people," said Taemin.
The book presented Taemin with scope on this notion. His delicate, compelling vocals are the enticement with hypnotic and sharp choreography completely pulling you in.
"I want to introduce who Taemin is through the performances," he said.
Taemin reflects on growth over the last 15 years
Since debut, Taemin has come into his own. He started at very young age and has grown and evolved not only to become an accomplished creative, but also a humble human.
"People learn a lot from experience," he said. "I tried to build my own identity and challenged myself with diverse concepts, and it’s interesting to see that it became my own color."
He also heavily values the relationships he's fostered along the way.
This responsibility is something Taemin carries with him. Often referred to as the "idol of idols," Taemin has been an inspiration to many in the industry.
"I also looked up to someone else as well and I never would’ve thought that I’ll become one," he said. "It gives me faith in myself because it’s one of the proving moments that my decisions were correct."
Ultimately, Taemin hopes to break barriers and limitations through his art.

last thing about this and i'll shut up i promise, but one of the biggest things that really stuck out to me about the Renaissance movie was how beyoncé spent almost the entire film devoted to what is essentially the population of a small city that it takes to make something as phenomenal as this album and this tour happen. and she doubles, triples, quadruples down that you cannot achieve greatness like this without that community of people, all of whom are top of their craft and extremely devoted. it's a great narrative to found and perpetuate about an artist; the idea that you cannot achieve greatness alone and needing and utilizing that community of collaborators and fellow talented artists only elevates and grows your own talents. for some reason it's become a mark of weakness or artistic phoniness to acknowledge and admit that, an insult to say "oh look how many songwriters are on this track/album", but beyoncé says fuck all of that. for several docs now, but this one in particular, she wants you to know she is the conductor, but her orchestra is comprised of the most talented geniuses she could find and she's proud to say they are the reason she's able to be who she is and they inspire her to be the otherworldly artistic visionary that she is. it takes an orchestra to make beautiful music! down to putting the crew members in reflective suits so you can SEE them on stage instead of hiding them, to, as she says, "see the beautiful dance that they do to keep the show moving." this kind of mentality around music and performance and art is so important, that collaboration improves your art exponentially. death to the idea that the greatest artists write and create alone or in small, never changing groups and if you cannot, you are not deemed a great artist because the truth is, if you only make art alone in your own little echo chamber, you will never be great.

A new album from Kahil El’Zabar’s Ethnic Heritage Ensemble today as well - "Open Me, A Higher Consciousness of Sound and Spirit"
This is the new offering from Kahil El’Zabar and his Ethnic Heritage Ensemble, in conjunction with the legendary group’s 50th anniversary, Open Me, A Higher Consciousness of Sound and Spirit. Open Me is a joyous honoring of portent new directions of the Ethnic Heritage Ensemble; it’s a visionary journey into deep roots and future routes, channeling traditions old and new. It mixes El’Zabar’s original compositions with timeless classics by Miles Davis, McCoy Tyner, and Eugene McDaniels. Thus, the Ethnic Heritage Ensemble continues affirming their indelible, half-century presence within the continuum of Great Black Music.  Open Me, El’Zabar’s sixth collaboration with Spiritmuse in five years, marks another entry in a run of critically acclaimed recordings that stretch back to the first EHE recording in 1981. The storied multi-percussionist, composer, fashion designer, and former Chair of the Association of Creative Musicians (AACM) is in what might be the most productive form of his career, and now in his seventies, shows no signs of slowing down. Few creative music units can boast such longevity, and fewer still are touring as energetically and recording with the verve of the Ethnic Heritage Ensemble.  The EHE was founded by El’Zabar in 1974 originally as a quintet, but was soon paired down to its classic form — a trio, featuring El’Zabar on multi-percussion and voice, plus two horns. It was an unusual format, even by the standards of the outward-bound musicians of the AACM: “Some people literally laughed at our unorthodox instrumentation and approach. We were considered even stranger than most AACM bands at the time. I knew in my heart though that that this band had legs, and that my concept was based on logic as it pertains to the history of Great Black Music, i.e. a strong rhythmic foundation, innovative harmonics and counterpoint, well-balanced interplay and cacophony amongst the players, strong individual soloist, highly developed and studied ensemble dynamics, an in-depth grasp of music history, originality, fearlessness, and deep spirituality.” With El’Zabar at the helm, the band’s line-up has always been open to changes, and over the years the EHE has welcomed dozens of revered musicians including Light Henry Huff, Kalaparusha Maurice Macintyre, Joseph Bowie, Hamiett Bluiett, and Craig Harris. The current line-up has been consolidated over two decades — trumpeter Corey Wilkes entered the circle twenty years ago, while baritone sax player Alex Harding joined seven years ago, after having played with El’Zabar since the early 2000s in groups such as Joseph Bowie’s Defunkt.  For Open Me, El’Zabar has chosen to push the sound of the EHE in a new direction by adding string instruments — cello, played by Ishmael Ali, and violin/viola played by James Sanders. The addition of strings opens new textural resonances and timbral dimensions in the Ensemble’s sound, linking the work to the tradition of improvising violin and cello from Ray Nance to Billy Bang, Leroy Jenkins, and Abdul Wadud.  Open Me contains a mixture of originals, including some El’Zabar evergreens such as “Barundi,” “Hang Tuff,” “Ornette,” and “Great Black Music” (often attributed to the Art Ensemble of Chicago but is, in fact,  an El’Zabar composition). There are also numbers drawn from the modern tradition, which El’Zabar uniquely arranges, including a contemplative interpretation of Miles Davis’ “All Blues.” As a milestone anniversary celebration and a statement of future intent, Open Me effortlessly carries El’Zabar’s healing vision of Higher Consciousness of Sound and Spirit.   All compositions by Kahil El’Zabar except tracks ‘All Blues’ by Miles Davis, ‘He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands’ spiritual folk by Unknown, ‘Passion Dance’ by McCoy Tyner and ‘Compared to What’ by Gene McDaniels All arrangements by Kahil El’Zabar Tapestry and Art Direction by Nep Sidhu

Disclaimer: I’m still a beginner at understanding astrology, and I am not an expert on it. I do believe in energy, but a person’s energy is constantly changing. So, please take my word on this as a grain of salt. I also don’t know Seunghan personally, so this is based on my understanding of astrology, and I used his placements to analyse him. I strongly suggest taking this as a grain of salt and not taking it personally.
Let’s also not make assumptions about him. I did this for entertainment purposes.
What is Seunghan like as an idol?
I sensed a compassionate, visionary and creative individual. You can see it in his actions and interactions with his peers in the SM Rookies video. You can also see he is sensitive to his surroundings and members. He is likely to be artistic or musically talented. I think he is one of the members who sings the most part. His creative side is quite apparent in his interest in music and drawing. Even though his drawings are doodles of Janggu (Korean Shin Chan). I think, in general, he loves to dabble in art. This side of him reminds me of Renjun from NCT Dream. So, he might one day use this aspect of himself to relieve stress.
I also think he is the softhearted type and maybe even too willing to sacrifice himself for the good of others. As we know, he is currently on an “indefinite hiatus”. I’m sensing he was likely the one who came up with the plan, and the company supported it. But if he didn’t, I think the company suggested it, and he agreed. He probably doesn’t want to cause any trouble for the team. Another aspect of his “willingness to sacrifice for others” is seen in one of their video clips from the Halloween content. He gave the earbuds to Wonbin and Sungchan because he knew that they were scared.
His red flag would be that he is aware of his surroundings and may take on different qualities with different groups of people. This is not a good thing because people might think he is fake or a people pleaser. I think this part of him is due to his Libra placements. He wants to be harmonious. He wants to make the people around him happy. If you’re unfamiliar with this aspect of him, you can check out RIIZE content before he went on his hiatus.
He also has a strong Pisces placement. I think it’s from his Mars in Pisces. He seems to be easily influenced by others and can also sometimes be moody and introverted. This could be the reason why his MBTI result is INFP. He may daydream a lot. It’s also indicating he is always in his head. He may have a great imagination. He may also, from time to time, experience intense emotions. I also think his placement indicates his attraction to music or the arts. This placement also reflects his sensitivity towards his surroundings.
Additionally, there could be difficulties with his motivation as he might gain it from the people around him. So, his existence in RIIZE boosted his confidence. He seems to like the energy of his members, and he also mentioned Talk Saxy suits his style. Personally, this aspect of him depends on who he is with. He might be people-pleasing a lot because he’s in SM Ent, and the management, of course, wants him to be on his best behaviour, but I think he is aware of this part of him.
He would and could be on his best behaviour from now and onwards because he knows that it will serve him well. (I think this mindset will take time to develop.) This also means Seunghan should be careful who he surrounds himself with and who he thinks of as his friends. Honestly, the rest of RIIZE should be cautious. I did a little reading on RIIZE’s natal chart, and it seems to be showing a group of boys who are in tune with their emotions. The group natal chart is heavy on “sensitive” energy. Someone on Twitter said the boys feel like they came out from a coming-of-age movie, I agree.
Currently, he is on a hiatus, but I do think once these difficulties are overcome, tremendous creativity is possible, perhaps through artistic channels: music, drama, or participating in songwriting. I’m not saying he will return as an active member of RIIZE. It is possible, but he has spiritual homework to do—something like cutting people out, ending karmic energy, and trusting himself more. If, hopefully, he comes back. I sense SM might watch his moves a lot.
I get a sense of his creativity during the RIIZE fan sign as he caters to signing the albums to fans in different signature styles. So, he already has that in him. The only problem is SM Ent. If SM Ent or someone important in SM acknowledges his talents. I think he will do well. He also needs someone who can mentally prepare and support him. At least for now, that’s how I see it.
If you guys also notice, he is energetic, enjoys meeting people and has positive enthusiasm. I watch almost all his fan call videos, and he does the most to make people happy or laugh. You can see that he is either smiling or laughing with his fans. I’m assuming he is that idol who relies heavily on his fans for fame. This is not to say he takes advantage of them, but he knows his fans care about him, at least from what I have seen from fan calls and his placements. He also is always in a good mood. It looks like he looks forward to meeting them.
Ok, that’s it. Bye ★
