Some LORE for season 1 in my AU

So the first two episodes and most of episode 3 apparently happen more or less as in canon. They won't change since Melvinborg debuts end of episode 3 here. This is true up until the Vimpire episode, where things take a turn due to Melvinborg being around for that plot. Due to his presence a few things happen. The most important is that he convinces his past self to lie to everyone that they are twins, and helps him with his one sided crush on erica.

Another thing that changes is Dr. Vil Endenemys. I've always had the idea that if I wrote Melvinborg earlier in the series timeline he'd bring out his Vil Endenemys personality a lot more, rather than bringing it out in the s1 finale. This is because he's been in the school for a while. He'd use a gasmask as a backup disguise, and his canon disguise as his natural one. He stays as Vil Endenmys until the end of season 2 episode 1.

means that the dubbers don’t have to try and finagle a pun name, which is probably much more difficult

» Basic Intelligence:

Approximately the same IQ as show. He is a genius inventor and incredibly book smart. This also translates to verbal (has a large vocabulary and strong ability with wordplay/puns), scientific, and mathematical proficiency.

【Weaknesses】

» Brain Damage

The horrible hovercar crash of 2039 injured a good portion of his frontal lob and surrounding areas. This caused several cognitive problems that differ him from show. He's impulsive, is not good at planning, and has lingering PTSD from the crash.

»Stuck in the past

Melvinborg cannot live and let live. He plots revenge on people and Instead of working to make his life better, he becomes bitter and scornful. He built a time machine to go on a semi-suicidal mission to fix his supposed destroyed life because he didn't get into the elite elementary/middle school he wanted.

»Psychotic tendencies

Enjoys the pain and suffering of others frequently. Tortured and abused Krupp until he flat out quit. Is seen smiling while stabbing his younger self with an untested serum and changed detention to be a literal dungeon. Grew to be prideful of his manslaughter of George and Harold.

» Technical difficulties

Being half robot isn't all it's cracked up to be. His systems need proper maintenance and they cause problems in certain conditions.

-He can hardly move in the cold due to hydraulic lock ups.

-Must remove his shoulder to comfortably sleep (and even then sleeping is difficult)

-Cognitive functions get all outta wack if magnets attach to him. It makes him loopy and trip out

【General Information】

»THE LIFE OF MELVIN SNEEDLY: The incident, The crash, and the aftermath

My version of Melvinborg's life is a story I've been wanting to explain, but never really have in full. So treat this as that full explanation. It may make this bio a bit longer than the others, but I feel its important just for understanding how I see Borg and how I write him.

His decline and separation from Melvin all begins with the deaths of George and Harold. Although not exactly the same as the events that we saw (since no borg would mean no teachers dome) we know that some melvinvention caused the boys to have to shrink into Captain Underpants' head. At this point in time Melvin would be season 1 Melvin. Friendless, unliked, and desperate for a school he would actually find interesting. A lonely and bitter 10 year old child (with a less than optimal homelife) sees an opportunity to save himself and leave behind people who have been nothing but mean to him and takes it. He doesn't know or think about the future implications of this choice. He is a child.

Krupp is returned to normal and melvin lies to leave GH out of the narrative, still mad at them for whatever they did to cause the mess, even though Melvin's invention technically caused the problem he blamed them for testing him and pushing him to make the invention to begin with. It isn't for a couple days when it starts to sink in that... those two aren't coming back. They are not smart enough to enlarge themselves and by weeks end would surely perish, trapped inside a working mind with no food or water. He shoves it down and keeps moving forward. They sucked anyway. I could be better without them. It was their own fault anyway. This guilt throughout fifth and even sixth grade morphs into even more of an ego complex than he had before, rationalizing everything under whose to blame and trying desperately to exclude himself as an answer.

He doesn't get into Elitinati, mostly in part to GH in season one, and continues his grueling life in the public education system. No one knows where GH went and the next grades are extra quiet without them around. But he doesn't talk to anyone about it. He doesn't talk to people in general. Mostly brewing in spite as he COULD'VE gotten to Elitenati if THEY hadn't ruined it for him. So the rest of his school years are just reaffirming his ego and continual decline of any social abilities. (His relationship with his parents aren't too good either)

So skipping way ahead. He graduates with his doctorate from some college somewhere and begins working, though he is a very unliked scientist at his building. He honestly doesn't care anymore and is still a real jerk. His life is kinda underwhelming but it's somewhat functional (although he sees it as a total failure most days). He sees his life as even worse when he realizes his old (and possibly current) crush Erica Wang went on to become the president. She worked hard and got into Elitenatis senior program during middle school. Instead of recognizing the effort and attitude it took to get there, he just hates his life more and becomes even more bitter. The small idea of redoing it all surfaces. If I just got into Elitenati back then I would be just as liked and successful as she is. He doesn't act on it, but the seed is planted

Then it happens... the second major event that's solidifies Melvin's fate. I'm still not sure why or how, but when driving home from the labs one day his hovercar gets blasted by butterflies and he crashes to the ground. The longterm effects of this never went away. He becomes Hemiplegic due to the crash and has to go through the hospital system for surgeries and brain tests. He had immediate burn surgery and treatment on his skin, leaving stitches, burn marks, and his freckles were no more. Even after the treatment he was paralyzed on one side and in a wheelchair for a small amount of time so he traded that entire side of his body for robotics, turning himself into a Cyborg.

This crash didn't just physically injure him to the point of needing an entirely artificial body, but frontal regions of the brain were damaged as well. With the brain trauma he became more impulsive and unable to plan or think rationally. He also develops Mild PTSD from this point forward, causing insomnia, panic attacks, and night terrors.

After healing physically (and not once healing mentally) he starts the time travel project. Between Erica's achievements supposedly because of Elitenati and the Butterflies that he recalls being a result of GH meddling, he puts the blame of his entire life on fourth grade. I also like to have personal conflict between Erica and Melvinborg, since Erica specifically follows him back to the past, but it really could have just been a spur of the moment as a result of all the withheld emotional and mental anguish and stress all piling up at once.

He goes back in time to change his past and fix his life, but this is very sad because either way he will eventually disappear and be replaced by a happier Melvin timeline. It's a suicide mission either way but it's worth it to fix that ONE moment in his life.

» "My life sucks and it's your fault"

He will always skert around blame. Whatever negative thing happens to him it will always be someones fault. He is extremely bitter at people and at the world. This ties into the next point.

» Ego to the extremo

While obviously having an ego problem, he may also have Narcissistic personality disorder (a Cerebral type to be exact). I don't necessarily want to straddle show with this, since he is already struggling with Autism and may be just a lonely kid needing affection or attention, but it IS gained by genetic predisposition (which his father definitely could be) and he DOES certainly have a hubris about his intelligence and puts others down for his own accomplishments. He skirts past any and all blame, changes the entire school to be in his image, and demands compensation for his life not being spectacular. He describes what he creates in a grandiose way and can be extremely dramatic about his own wellbeing, but does not care about the safety and feelings of others (and at times his own past self). Borg also isn't reliant on younger melvin because most personality disorders don’t shine through until teenage years and can be impacted by their experiences and environment.

Melvin has special sensitives, interests, and hardships with communicating that lead me to believe he is on the spectrum. Melvinborg would have this disorder go unoticed for decades.

Not the best parent. He doesn't attend dinner and is prominently absent in Melvin's life. In season 3 he doesn't seem too upset that his son just got blasted into the woods. He is stern and distant when spoken to directly and would usually never go out of his way to reach out to Melvin growing up. Once Melvin was at a certain age he deemed him fit to take care of himself more or less.

»Cindy Sneedly

Scatterbrained but loving. She tries her best to care for Melvin but has trouble remembering things and certainly can't keep track of where her son is. She seems to struggle with short term memory and this keeps her from being the mother she needs to be for a child as sensitive and reckless as Melvin. In season 3 she admits to being his friend but she never went to look for him and couldn't even recall later where he went. Her memory only got worse with age, leaving her less than helpful as he went through his teenage and young adulthood (something he began to resent has he grew older). She also struggled to connect the image of her son (before the crash) with Melvinborg after the crash, which took them even farther apart.

BEHOLD!! An Inspector Gadget AU:

The Amazing Exploits Of Inspector CapGadget Underpants (TAEOICU)

CapGadget (or CG)- a fun-loving brief-wearing mechanical detective who works at JH police station, with multiple gadgets, and has an oath to stop evildoers from all around the world. Especially Dr. Pippy Poopypants (who, as you can see, has the role of claw) and his PP empire. However, he's an idiot. He is also the caretaker of George Beard and Harold Hutchins (they call him Uncle despite they have no relation).

George and harold- two best friends who lost their parents to Dr. PP. With only Harold's mother, Grace, remaining. A middle aged man named Benjamin took them in (even though he didnt want to). And they always help CapGadget whenever he's in a pickle. They actually were responsible for CapGadget's design, it was inspired by their comics.

Benjamin Krupp- Capgadget's former identity, he was almost deceased by an explosion. And was rebuilt into CapGadget. CG doesn't know much about his past self, but when he was revived, he definitely remembered his nephews (again, no relation).

Dr.PP- An evil scientist who lost his hand due to Benjamin, and hated his reincarnation to the bitter core ever since. When he isnt plotting schemes day and night, he enjoys swimming and quality time with his cat, Melvin. Sometimes he feels like he and his feline friend are the only smart people in PP empire.

SerGadgeantMobile (or Ser Mobile)- a sentient car who has a brilliant taste in music but a horrible taste in food, he has a hologram which takes the appearance of his former self, he's slightly smarter then CapGadget but is always cocky.

Chief Endenemys- It was obvious that he would fit this role. He scolds CapGadget whenever he does something inferior (which happens very often), and doesn't take shit from anybody. He just wants a normal day.

Agent R- He works as at JH and goes undercover in PP empire, he will usually appear out of nowhere to tell George and harold what Dr.PP is up to. Agent R is mysterious AF but is a good friend to CapGadget.

Agent Edith Shunn- She was recently hired at JH, and was eager to be partners with their best detective. Who (unfortunately) was CapGadget, who at first refused to work with Edith as he stated he worked alone (which was taken back due to his offended nephews), but then accepted her when she demonstrated what she was capable of (on him, and it hurt). Edith questions CapGadget's logic quite alot, but goes with it anyway. She also has a secret second persona...

Actually here's a funny story about me and Vil Endenemys

My first time watching the show, when I first laid eyes on ol' Vil and clocked him as a twist villain, I genuinely, sincerely believed that the twist....... would be that Vil Endenemys was actually Melvin's long-lost dad

Why? Because I'd seen no mention of Melvin's dad up to that point and because he kinda looked like Melvin so obviously there had to be a connection between them, riiiiiight?

So anyway I was pretty shocked when the twist turned out to be "Vil Endenemys is actually Melvin from the future" and not "Vil Endenemys is actually Melvin's dad"

And then I was mad that the Captain Underpants show of all things actually managed to smack me in the face with a plot twist like that

Thoughts on TETOCU Season 2 Finale

I finished watching the whole entire second season of The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants and it leaves me a lot of questions... SPOILERS AHEAD

According to Season One, Erica is a Former President of the Future Presidents Club in her school, but it was revealed in the Season 2 Finale that she successfully gained her role as the President of Earth by her future self, Grace Wain. I believe that like Grace Wain and Vil Endenemys, the future selves all have their names in anagrams.

Somehow, Erica reminds me of Erika’s name used in Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper and Barbie in Rock ‘N Royals, while the anagram Keira is in Barbie as the Princess and the Popstar.

The finale has lots of twists and turns like a rollercoaster ride (in a hot dog stand). There’s a happy ending that the boys are FINALLY going on a Lake Summer Camp (Oh I Wanna Go!), but sadly they are going to separate camps, oh nooo
