🍔 Review № 615 ━ 📍 Speed Snacks ★★★☆☆ • Speed Snacks is located in the burger-filled shopping area Erikslund in Västerås, which houses both large burger chains and local favourites. Speed Snacks' menu consists of 12 different burgers, including several vegetarian options, plus a pretty intriguing sandwich menu. For the beef burgers, a single burger has a 150-gram patty and a double burger has two 100-gram patties. During our visit we ordered a Tango Burger with a 150-gram chuck patty, cheddar, caramelised onions, pickles and ketchup for 110 SEK (11 USD). • Despite visiting them during their hectic lunch hours, our burger arrived quickly with a smile. The hamburger itself looked quite nice, but there wasn't really anything that stood out. But the warm and soft bun was promising, and felt great in our hand. The beef was nicely smashed with a great crust, but we had hoped for some more salt and pepper to make the flavours pop. The basic burger cheddar did its job without shining, and despite their pickle being very salty it worked quite well with the sweetness from the caramelised onions. The ketchup worked fine, but we would have liked some yellow mustard and perhaps some mayo to elevate the flavours, as we felt that it didn't really reach its full potential. • Speed Snacks serve decently priced burgers that taste pretty nice, and they're well worth a visit if you're already in the area to do some shopping. But they need to work on both the details and the concept as a whole if they want to stand out against the sharp competition in Erikslund. ━ @speed.snacks #burger #burgerdudes #västerås (at Speed.Snacks) https://www.instagram.com/p/CmI9GRNDZbq/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Bengt-Göran Broström (Oct. 10, 1947 - 2004) was a Swedish sculptor who has done a lot of public works in Västerås, including this large piece showing the stream of factory workers coming from the ASEA electro-technical plant in town.
