A book...woah
Seeing all of these new games, books, comics, blogs, all of the creative material has me quaking with excitement.
I am craving to create and make things. In the works right now, quite similar to a menu haha
are these things.
-A book introducing the basics of witchcraft. Will be free on wattpad and snippets on here. [falu_tears on wattpad]
-My own spellbook/grimoire
-the idea of making a game
-a webtoon comic
-later in the future I will try my hand at an academy again

They say appearances can be deceiving. I think about that a lot. How things look to the outside world vs how they really are. How you can sometime, if you look really closely, see the cracks, or the mold, or the chipping paint. But you have to be looking. You have to have a reason to look closer. The Inner Critic
I am an enneagram type one – which means I have a lovely inner critic constantly reminding me what I could do better. Some of you may know that voice as Type A, or maybe you’re the first-born child. Either way, the inner critic is a voice familiar to a lot of us.
My inner critic was kind enough to remind me I have started numerous projects over the years and rarely finished any of them. I launched a photography business (more than once). I have boxes of documents I was going to scan and store electronically. I started to spring and fall clean but didn’t finish either. Is there a word for cleaning in July? I started to re-teach myself how to sew, and then put the sewing machine back in the closet. I have started to re-learn both Spanish and Japanese numerous times. I asked my friend to teach me American Sign Language and gave up after two lessons. You get the idea.
This inner voice is not kind when it reminds me I am a failure for not finishing these things. “My life could be so much better if I would follow through on something” – it says. “I could be getting out of debt faster if I would just work harder or longer.”
Then it hit me. I committed to getting out of debt about 3 years ago. While I still have debts to pay, I have made huge progress and it is a task I am still working hard on, without giving up. In fact, paying off debt has been the single, largest factor in most of my decisions in the last few years. I changed many habits in pursuit of getting out of debt as quickly as humanly possible. I have missed a family wedding, skipped vacations, switched to generic groceries and aggressively couponed. I even collect refundable cans to help get me earn a few extra bucks. All of these decisions have something to do with paying down debt as quickly as possible.
Before I started making debt payments, I set the goal of raising a $2000 emergency fund, which I not only completed, but it is earning interest and currently sits at $2250. Subsequently, in 2 years I have gone from $5300 debt across 2 cards to $740 on 1 card, while reducing my student loans by $600.
So, no, I did not finish organizing my closet. No, I have not traded in my old laptop. Those documents are still in boxes, and I have not finished spring cleaning. My Christmas lights are still on my porch, in true redneck fashion.
HOWEVER- I have made huge strides in getting out of debt. For this I must remember to be grateful. I must remember to celebrate the small milestones along with the big ones. I must remember that my ego voice, especially the inner critic, does not always get the final say. As Elizabeth Gilbert would say, the critic is no longer a driver and does not even get control of the radio. My inner critic can just be a passenger and enjoy the ride.
I have learned to forgive the inner critic, for well, being critical, and in doing so, forgiven myself for making mistakes or doing things slowly. I have even allowed myself to have rest days and the occasional tub of ice cream. I have certainly earned it.
So, my friends, take a listen inside. Hear your inner critic, but lovingly tell him to hop in the back seat. God has a plan for your life, and it is far bigger than anything your inner critic could ever imagine.

I was flipping through my little pocket coloring book and found this page started. I went ahead and finished it. It's definitely not my favorite. Tbh, the design itself kind of stresses me out. I am so all about order and neat lines that the squiggles and overlapping bits made me a little crazy. I am pretty sure that's why I hadn't finished this one, lol. . This was colored with Frixion Pilot pastel highlighters, Stabilo 88 pens, Staedtler fineliners, and Prima Watercolors. I’m a going to make stuff
I have probably been making “stuff” all my life. I draw. I paint. I plant. I crochet. I embroider. I craft. I make.
I think my hobby could be categorize as “collecting hobbies”. I always like trying new crafts and new patterns. It always ends in a lot of unfinished projects.
The goal of this blog?
To motivate myself to finish all my unfinished projects.
To start new projects and talk about my process of how I made it.
To learn and improve my skills. (Mostly on crochet and drawing.)
To inspire others to create their own projects. (Many of my ideas are usually inspired from looking at other people’s creations.
To have fun!
So you might ask, what are these unfinished projects? Well not to worry, I’m listing them out so I remember them myself for future reference.
1 Christmas C2C Gift
My ongoing (two year ?) Christmas gift blanket project that I have left untouched until recently. It’s C2C project that I thought I could finish in less than two months when I first started it (HA!)
To give you an idea of how massive it is, it’s 119 x 129 corner stitches and 4″ = 5 corner stitches. Currently I am only at the 79th row of this blanket. . . The plan is to finish it this year so I can finally give it to my parents.
2 Pin Banner
Banner to hang my pins. I have a lot of pins. I started this project way back in March 2018. Why did I stop? I debated about hand sewing vs machine sewing. You can guess what I chose. (Hint: The faster one.)
Now I just need to borrow my mom’s sewing machine so I can finally finish this and another one for my brother.
3 Sophie’s Universe
Oh, Sophie’s Universe... I love this project, but I really can’t just watch dramas/anime/tv shows and make you at the same time. When I work on this project, it’s usually just Sophie and music.

4 Miniature UP House
My miniature UP house. I bought this on Amazon about two years ago. Why did I stop? The instructions required a cm ruler to measure out the curtain size. I couldn’t find one in my house that day and put it off for two years.....
5 My Side TV Project
My side C2C project. Remember how I said I can’t watch tv while working on Sophie’s Universe....well this is my tv crochet project when I want to make stuff while watching tv.

My Brother’s Garage 2, 2018 My brother was a mechanic. He fixed stuff. He'd go looking for broken and discarded things, take them apart, and build something new from their parts. He found a way to find beauty in the wreckage. From a distance, I thought he did that with his own life as well. I thought he was building something new from the wreckage. What he left behind told a different story. He had firmly embraced the wreckage and abandoned hope of ever rebuilding. 6000x4000
