If you ever want to hear a song that basically describes how God feels towards you, go ahead and listen to the song “Love Note” by Upperroom!

I feel like a lot of people (including myself sometimes) have a difficult time seeing God as the loving, forgiving father that he is and not just an authoritative, angry force that is enraged every time you mess up.

I listen to this song every time I feel myself starting to drift to that kind of mindset, and it really helps put into perspective just how much God loves us and wants to be with us more than anything.

Why do we lose the love we had for Jesus? Why do things grow stagnant in our relationship with Christ? Did He ever stop loving us? Did he ever stop wanting us? Never. God’s love is unconditional, unbreakable, unrelenting, neverending, and perfect.

How do we reconnect with this love? If it’s us who have drifted from this love, how do we run back to His arms? We can thank God that it is an easy task, He is all around us, revealing His perfect grace in our lives every minute. In your prayer, don’t be afraid to ask God to change you in this. Ask Him to create a spirit of holy discontent in your relationship with Him. Let it never be enough, that we should keep pursuing Him in everything we do. Ask that He would reveal His love in the little things, that he would open your eyes and heart to everything He has done, is doing, and will do for you. The love of Christ is unexplainable, but so good.
