Pikachu finally packing heat?!! Anyways, I redrew this funny comic based on the classic internet meme from 2012, plus I wanted to bring it back TO THIS DAY AND AGE since I feel like this is probably more relevant NOW than ever before. Enjoy!

While randomization is a major component of other trading card games, the Pokemon Trading Card Game intentionally simplifies this element by significantly reducing the possible outcomes that these can produce. One such example of this is the frequent application of coin-flipping as a mechanic for many cards throughout the game, where damage, status effects, or even unique effects are determined entirely by coin flipping successes, ensuring that even the strongest abilities carry with them a potential of risk.

These cards possess rarity, condition, and high demand, making them attractive investment options. However, success in this venture requires diligent market research, expert grading, and authentication to ensure card authenticity. While Pokémon cards can generate impressive returns, it's important to approach the market with a long-term perspective and an understanding of the ever-evolving collector landscape.

The Pokémon Company donates hefty $200,000 to support wildfire relief in Hawaii
Tumblr media
The Pokémon Company utilized this year's event to highlight significant relief efforts now taking place in Hawaii—along with a hefty gift. The Pokémon World Championships closing ceremonies are typically used as a moment to look ahead to the franchise's next endeavors. The 2023 Pokémon World Championships, which just concluded in Yokohama, Japan, on Aug. 13, closed with TPC president Tsunekazu Ishihara confirming that the event will be held in Honolulu, Hawaii next year. That was swiftly followed by sharing a message of support for the individuals and groups helping with relief efforts on the islands as they continue to deal with dangerous wildfires. https://twitter.com/playpokemon/status/1690638821468364800 “Devastating wildfires have severely impacted the people of Hawaii and the island of Maui, and our heartfelt sympathies go out to everyone who has been affected,” Ishihara said. “Hawaii and Pokémon have a special connection. We are looking into actions we can take to be of assistance in these trying times.” Among other things, like the decision to host Worlds 2024 there, that special connection Ishihara mentioned is likely referencing the fact Sun and Moon’s Alola region is based on Hawaii and parts of its native culture. While the speech did not specify what TPC was doing to “be of assistance,” The Pokémon Company International quickly shared that it would be donating $200,000 to Hawaii Wildfire Relief Fund through its partner GlobalGiving. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LH1cI0f3aOQ This type of donation is almost standard for TPCi in recent years, as the company has donated this same amount to several causes, like the Turkish and Syrian earthquake relief fund and humanitarian relief in Ukraine. Additional aid could be provided, too, depending on the continued severity of damages caused by the wildfires. Read the full article

When it was announced, it was stated that it would release in 2020 however, no information about the software has been announced since, nor was an alternative release date provided after 2020 passed without the software being released. A new pair of Pokemon games is coming this fall. Pokmon Sleep (Japanese: Pokmon Sleep) is an upcoming spin-off Pokmon game for iOS and Android. We don't know how detailed the Pokémon Sleep app is going to be, but as well as easily tracking when you go to bed and get up, it could well reward you for how well you sleep as well as how long for. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are launching for Nintendo Switch in late 2022. Most of them even do a pretty good job of only tracking the person they're next to, even if you share a bed. The Pokemon Company introduced Pokemon Sleep during its press conference on Tuesday, a new app intended to make sleep more fun. 1 It was announced on by Tsunekazu Ishihara, CEO of the Pokmon Company, during a press conference held in Tokyo as well as on the company's official. They can't track your heart rate, but do track motion as well as (sometimes) sound to get a pretty good idea of how well you've been sleeping. Pokmon Sleep was being developed by Japanese studio Select Button, with assistance by Pokmon Go developer Niantic, and was going to be published by The Pokmon Company. This means they can get a much better picture of the quality of sleep you're getting, and whether you're in deep sleep or REM sleep (when you can dream) at any given moment.īits of hardware like the Pokémon Go Plus Plus that sit next to you as you sleep are pretty good too, though. Ones that you wear as a watch tend to be the most accurate, because they track your movement more precisely and often measure your heart rate too. You can get apps that just use your phone and its sensors to track your sleep, ones that you wear like a watch, and ones that have another piece of hardware that sits near you as you sleep. SLEEP-TRACKING devices have been around for some time, but what exactly do they do?

At this rate, every single damn digit of The Monkey’s paw have been curled up because of how the Pokemon fanbase won’t stop wishing for ‘more competitive mechanics’ and ‘better graphics’ as well as ‘more cool gimmicks’ and along with ‘better regional variants of previous pokemon’ with the apparent inclusion of ‘seeing tsunekazu ishihara kick the bucket in front of the public eye’.
They’re gonna have to face the consequences eventually.

Game: Super Smash Bros.
In a 1999 interview with the game's director and designer Masahiro Sakurai published in Nice Games magazine vol.3, he was asked if he ran into trouble with getting permission to use Nintendo characters? He responded: <div style="padding-left: 75px; padding-right: 75px; text-align: justify;">"The first person I asked for permission was Shigesato Itoi. Next was Shigeru Miyamoto. When he saw our work he said, Hey, youve got <a href="/series/mario/">Mario</a> down pretty good! The <a href="/series/pokemon/">Pokemon</a> characters took the longest to get permission, because their image is tightly supervised. I broached the subject with Pokemon Company president Tsunekazu Ishihara, but the impression I got from him was that it would probably be difficult. Satoshi Tajiri was more encouraginghe was like, this looks cool!" "Personally, as the creator of <a href="/series/kirby/">Kirby</a>, I understood how they felt: I would feel be really upset if Kirby was featured in a game that people ended up disliking, or if the people got his image and movements wrong. In fact, there had been times when Id been kind of annoyed by the way Kirby was depicted in someone elses illustration or as a game cameo. Smash Bros. was conceived, in part, as a reaction against that kind of sloppy handling. I imagine anyone who creates a character feels similarly protective, but Smash Bros. brought an unprecedented number of different characters together and it was of the utmost importance to us that we re-create their personalities and characteristics faithfully. I absolutely did not want to betray the original characters creators."</div>
