[Movie Review] Will Smith, please watch 'Turning Red' to understand your intergenerational trauma
[Movie Review] Will Smith, please watch ‘Turning Red’ to understand your intergenerational trauma

And also if you don’t condemn other culture’s practises as “demonic”, as one New York pastor did. Now that the disclaimers are done, let me reiterate—yes,…

Wow! There is so much packed into this movie. It’s not just kid’s movie, it’s an adult movie as well. Mad respect to the writer-director, Domee Shi, who drew from her own experiences and interests.
Great story, great themes, great messages! Full of great quotes as well. It’s subtle, heartwarming and cathartic as hell. Highly recommended for girls of all ages! MUST WATCH!

Turning Red    [trailer]
A 13-year-old girl named Meilin turns into a giant red panda whenever she gets too excited.
So much fun, with lots of infectious, positive energy. It's fast paced, and the girls are great.
There are some moments when the truly overprotective mother almost ruins it. But overall the movie put a big smile on my face.
Fight the power!
