I'm taking a perfectionistic approach to self care, wellbeing and how I use my time.
And this perfectionism is stopping me from just doing things.
Can't put something in my journal until it's good enough, etc.
And yet while I am often methodical in my planned approaches, my mind doesn't naturally stick to 1 thing- I go off on tangents, I have ideas, and I want to be able to run with them.
I need to work with my brain, not against it.
I need times when I stick to 1 thing - but I think in my day to day life, I need to be able to go off on tangents.
When I am studying or working or have something urgent - yes, then I need to reign it in. Make myself a structure within which I can go off on tangents, but don't allow myself to go beyond the limits of that (in order to pursue a goal).
And day to day, I also need to have boundaries to set an activity within (e.g. a 30 minute Tiiimo activity where I cannot go beyond that time).
