As far as the Wart was concerned, there was a time after this in which Sir Ector kept telling him to put the sword back into the stone—which he did—and in which Sir Ector and Kay then vainly tried to take it out. The Wart took it out for them, and stuck it back again once or twice. After this, there was another time which was more painful.

He saw that his dear guardian was looking quite old and powerless, and that he was kneeling down with difficulty on a gouty knee.

“Sir,” said Sir Ector, without looking up, although he was speaking to his own boy.

“Please do not do this, father,” said the Wart, kneeling down also.  “Let me help you up, Sir Ector, because you are making me unhappy.”

“Nay, nay, my lord,” said Sir Ector, with some very feeble old tears. “I was never your father nor of your blood, but I wote well ye are of an higher blood than I wend ye were.”

“Plenty of people have told me you are not my father,” said the Wart, “but it does not matter a bit.”

“Sir," said Sir Ector humbly, “will ye be my good and gracious lord when ye are King?”

“Don’t!” said the Wart.

“Sir,” said Sir Ector, “I will ask no more of you but that you will make my son, your foster-brother, Sir Kay, seneschal of all your lands?”

Kay was kneeling down too, and it was more than the Wart could bear.

“Oh, do stop,” he cried. “Of course he can be seneschal, if I have got to be this King, and, oh, father, don’t kneel down like that, because it breaks my heart. Please get up, Sir Ector, and don't make everything so horrible. Oh, dear, oh, dear, I wish I had never seen that filthy sword at all.”

And the Wart also burst into tears.

A week ago I just steped in a comics shop,one i am familiar with for many years now.Once I noticed this one “Black beth” it got me hooked.

What’s this all about? A dark fantasy,sword and sorcery comic

Premise

“Driven by her crusade to punish the unjust, Black Beth must save a group of sacrifices from a warlock intent upon unleashing evil upon the world. But the witch Moldred has given Beth a dire warning: to undertake this mission will have terrible consequences! Will Beth heed Moldred’s advice? Or is her homicidal thirst for vengeance all that matters to her?”

So it’s by Beth perspective,with a Serious fighting girl that should never stoop to the low as her enemies.If she would become as much Despicable as they are then all these she’s doing are good for nothing! it’s Chilling.

The creative team have crafted Beth being something Higher than any one would call it ‘ a mere poor immitation of Conan the barbarian,or Red Sonja”.The artist has done serious,detailed work on her Boob armor.Besides scientifically such armor works fine:)

I'm young and stupid, so don't take this too seriously, but I thought of this analogy and would like to share it. Raising a child is like sharpening a sword. You grind away at it to sharpen it so it can be its best self. Toxic parenting (yelling, hitting, commanding, etc.) is like acid; it chips away at the sword, which is enough for some, but overall, you are just weakening the sword and dulling it. That sword is then forced to work its way through life until it realizes its edge is duller than most, at which point it has to sharpen itself, either on its own or through the advice of others.

I'm a teen, so I can't say how well the analogy works, but I can definitely say I'm a sword with a dull edge. I was screamed at for getting upset for small things until I just stopped doing things, at which point I was praised for being a great, self-sufficient child. I've been forced away from people my age for being a different kind of sword, and I still can't say I've found my people. But I'm recovering. I've started talking to some people, though I can't say how close we really are, and I've started grinding away at myself. My edge isn't where I want it yet, but I'll keep sharpening and will until I reach the perfect edge (I've always been a perfectionist anyways).
