Okay, Thunder Junction spoilers are ago and they're really fun so far! There's a lot of fun legacy characters coming back and it all just feels very warm and fuzzy to me. However, something more important has caught my eye.
SNAKE HORSE!
SNORSE!
WHY DOESN'T THE SNORSE HAVE ITS OWN CARD?

Foolish of me to approach the Wild West Set about Oko having to deal with his estranged son showing up, and being like "damn, I hope they explain what Vraska is doing there. I would like to know what happened between the Insane Mind Sex™ and her just robbing people in the desert"

Outlaws of Thunder Junction comes out tomorrow, you know what that means?
It means, new Plane shift module made by me!
This one includes 6 backgrounds, a race and a subrace, 7 subclasses, and a and dozens of monsters. AND ITS FREE! That's right! From now on, all my brews will be 100% free.
Come get it all at my patreon! I also have a plane shift module for New Phyrexia, Eldraine, the Psio and Hemonomicon, and a whole bunch of other goodies!

I've mostly been doing UB set work for a while (maybe I'll remember to post some eventually!) but I am so glad I got a chance to play with the cowboys

Well, I'm angry. Apparently, the meager Legends of article we got for Thunder Junction yesterday is the only lore article we're getting. No Planeswalker's Guide.
This feels really bad because Thunder Junction is a new plane, and new planes need those articles to help establish their identity and give us reference points for the details on the cards. There's all these references to specific outlaw gangs on cards, but they feel empty without any articles explaining the structure and goals of those gangs. There's this "Thunder" magic specific to Thunder Junction that we know absolutely nothing about.
For me it's also kind of infuriating because I was defending complaints about Thunder Junction's lack of world building by pointing out we still hadn't gotten the Planeswalker's Guide. Now I feel like an idiot for looking forward to something.
I'm a Vorthos before anything else. I'm into Magic for the lore. I was super pumped for Thunder Junction because it was our first new plane since New Capenna and I felt like the Wild West theme could be really cool. Now I can feel my excitement for the set plummeting. If WotC can't be bothered to give us the lore and world building, why should I bother buying the cards?
