#genshin#genshinedit#genshinet#genshin impact#chenyu vale#jadeite redolence#m:gifs#m:*#m:gifs:scenery#m:top#ive been wanting to do this kind of thing for a while for several albums actually but jadeite redolence is the one where i RAN to do it lol#(overworld albums i mean)#if i find the motivation i might do it for a couple other albums this was fun :> maybe once im funemployed ajfldkjads (iykyk)#originally there were only gonna be 9 but then there were 2 i absolutely couldn't bear to leave out so i added 3 more#and that includes me trying to avoid repeating leitmotifs/areas and also avoiding any non-overworld tracks#but anyways it was fun running around looking for shots to gif. chenyu vale in general is just so pretty#im so happy with the goat shot bc i wasn't trying to get the goat it just happened to walk into frame PERFECTLY#the yilong wharf one (through clouds and rivers) is the only one where the song doesn't actually play where that's recorded#but like. if your giffing yilong wharf it HAS to be that shot its literally the album cover LMAO#this coloring is also kind of out of my comfort zone but i think i like it.... i slept on it and didn't wake up regretting it so adsjklasdf

#honestly this isn't usually something i'd pick up#but i liked the idea of it and i needed a way to challenge myself i think#i took out a few cats bc i understood the want for visual clutter#but i felt that the original wasn't cluttered with intention if that makes sense?#like the push for getting every character in frame actively hurt its coherency in a way that just made it look muddled#ive never participated in a dtiys before and i had fun!#might try more in the future#tccdtiys#my art#im not gonna look too hard at the mistakes its been SO long since ive done something fully inked colored and shaded

Bour was just like casually bringing BATB into things as an Easter egg#since it was his first job in animation#and like don't get me wrong; I LOVE that he did this. I just don't know how he expected anyone (i.e. me) to be normal about it afterwards#once you've introduced BATB; it ceases to be a fun and casual reference and just makes the literature major girlies go feral#i thought this was gonna be a quick and easy little project but it wasn't#the parallels are all there but they're in slightly different order in EoA than the original and the pacing for each reference is differen#so i had to determine which ones I needed to skip frames for and which ones to use all the frames#and then try to figure out the speed from there#the coronation day scenes were very hard to color because the grey skies and muted filter kind of whitewash the characters#like you don't even understand i added so MUCH vibrance and saturation to the 4th and 5th gifs but elena's skin still is just gray#and the coloring is still just a very very mixed bag#also i've realized that while I don't think it was an intentional reference in the same way BATB was#anna's sacrifice and resurrection from frozen is perhaps just as --if not more-- a clear parallel to the coronation day scene than BATB#so maybe I will do that one someday too?#once i psych myself up again to try coloring coronation day again#which i imagine will be awhile#these do not look like the same scene and pretty much the same scene at all even if i tried to use the same psd when i could#and edit them to make the coloring as close as i could
