They're so gonna make Alya Maribugs main partner from S6 onwards & turn Adrichat into nothing but Marinettes littl boyfriend who's gonna take ova the Bakery.
The show's gonna chuck Adrien into the Dupain-Chengs kitchen now that the teams back so he can b her little house spouse hubby who will forever make her a sandwich and never ever ask for more.
There are 15 more full-time heros now on LBs team. Adrien is only gonna leave the kitchen again when Ladybug asks him to when they need his cataclysm.
That shit just makes too much sense oh my goooooooooooood
I remember the time Wen I loved the idea of Adrien takin over the Bakery but at this point of the morality of Marinettes Story? ..lets not kid ourselves. Marinette Dupain-Cheng ended up standing for nothing but revenge porn feminism coated under a narrative that teaches bullied girls questionable leadership on other people's expenses the villains have to make up for by just... conveniently not doing the logical thing, & to hate everyone round them who doesn "treat them right".
If Adrien takes over the Bakery its just so he can be Marinettes stay-at-home hubby who takes care of the children, their home, her parents and will make her a sandwich for all eternity... It aint gonna happen for him, it's happening so she can be a #girlboss with her whipped malewife at her service an thats it...

okay i need a summary of the S5 finale
someone in the server just asked what happened in the story so far so i need concrete details of how everything's been settled
This is gonna be rough because I have watched all this go by in a fever dream and half-remembering stuff and maybe confusing it with the leaked script(I don't remember what was changed) and I do NOT have the energy to look up exact details rn but:
So Adrien and Kagami are in London locked in their respective rooms which are. Pretty blank just a slab for a bed and a foosball table.
They're also drugged I think? But their parents are using their Alliance Avatars to fake celebrity couple moments for the public.
Nathalie tries to kill Gabriel with a crossbow but he manipulates her long enough that she starts dying
Ladybug was investigating the Agreste Mansion for.... I forget why probably but it's sure not because she's suspicious of Gabriel due to Felix telling her his identity in a previous episode because she is absolutely shocked when she sees him transform.
Oh wait she's probably investigating because Gabriel kinda just Scarecrow Fear gassed the whole world with the Alliance Ring's programs and some other shit and sends out an alert on the rings like 'Oh no LB and CN have kidnapped Adrien and Kagami! Don't you want to help? Aren't you tired of being nice? Don't you want to go apeshit?' and a bunch of people turn into the most generic fucking blank 'just a body to fight' Akumas.
Ladybug decides to fight him instead of finding Chat for backup
Adrien is still over in London, blitzed as fuck in gay baby jail. He realizes he's kinda fucked up and hands the ring off to Plagg to escape. Plagg flies across the entire ffucking ocean back to Paris and finds Ladybug mid-fight.
Marinette is now wielding both Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous. She's fighting Gabriel (who has all the others except the Peacock(with Felix) and the Rabbit(with Alix)). And she absolutely WRECKS him. We get a real good fight sequence including some cartoony nonsense like using Lucky Charm to drop a whole fucking grand piano on him.
Anyway. She's winning clearly. They end up in the basement crypt with Emilie's coffin. She knocks the Butterfly off him and into the abyss and like. We've gotten clips of Lila(or whatever her real name is) being in on this so obviously Lila's gonna pick it up.
Marinette has Gabriel pretty backed into a corner but she does the 'I'm sure you're still good you just miss your wife please don't do this give up!' thing. While dropping her transformation and offering her hand out completely fucking vunerable.
Naturally Gabriel uses Venom to paralyze her and steals both the Miraculous.
Gabriel starts up the Wish, which makes Tikki and Plagg go into True Form Godmode where they're giant magical multi-armed beings and do a fusion dance thing to turn into the Kwami of Reality: Gimmi. (this part is actually really cool just like the fight scene)
Gabriel has a literal last second change of heart(?) and asks Marinette to make sure Adrien never finds out that Gabriel was Monarch and that he only remembers the times he tried to be a good father(BITCH WHERE???)
He makes the Wish and fucking dies
Cut to some time later: everyone is back in Paris. Bustier as Mayor is going over soooo well she's turned everything into such a utopia of environmental consciousness(completely ignoring the time and money it would take to make these changes! And more importantly ignoring that even if Bustier isn't a corrupt politician, there's a fuckton of other actual corrupt politicians that would shut this shit down so hard).
They're celebrating Gabriel's 'sacrifice' in helping Ladybug defeat Monarch and he gets a statue(made of melted down Alliance rings) calling him a Hero! Adrien hopes he'll live up to that greatness one day!
Speaking of the Alliance rings, Tomoe gets away with helping Gabriel because she lies and is like 'oh we were totally hacked!' and everyone believes her.
Marinette does not tell Adrien the truth about Gabriel or even that Adrien is a Sentimonster. But hey she at least gives him the wedding ring Amoks?
We get a clip of everyone getting their Miraculous as a permanant Hero team and then having a party at the pool! All the kids are there(except Chloé who is off in London getting abused by her mother because 'oh she deserves it for*checks notes* reacting to the previous abuse she suffered in a not-perfect way!').
Nathalie is healed and fine and also at the pool party.
We get a shot of the woman who is either Emilie brought back to life or Amelie. No one is sure. It seems like Amelie because she wasn't mentioned elsewhere in the epilogue and she's also wearing black(Emilie is always in white, Amelie is always in black). But the leaked scripts and the character model sheet called her 'Emilie' so no one knows.
We get a final scene showing Lila's lair in the catacombs, where she has the Butterfly Miraculous and also the robo-army remote control thing from back when Chloé was mayor. She gets jumscared by something off screen and it cuts out

I guess, for me, the reason I feel like everything for Chat is always about his romantic feelings, is that last shot - Ladybug reflected in his eyes. She is literally his whole world. I *guess* you could argue that doesn't have to be romantic, but realistically, that sort of imagery in tv/movies is always romantic. So while at this stage of the season, I'm not expecting any sort of fallout or confrontation because everything is still building, like you said, I still feel like this episode was laying the groundwork for how Chat's going to react in the future - he's not going to be upset about the unfair (and arguably accidentally cruel) way he's been treated. He's not even going to be upset about potentially losing someone he cares about, feelings that are compounded by his neglectful and abusive upbringing that make him cling to the people he cares about. His pain is going to be because he loves Ladybug and she doesn't love him (that way) and he doesn't want to lose her.
I would like that final scene IF that last shot didn't exist, because then I could theorise all the other things it was about. But with that final shot the way it is, it reframes the entire scene as being romantic and only romantic.
I really HOPE I'm wrong, but that tends to be the way the writers have treated Chat's feelings in the past - his love for Ladybug is the only thing that really matters. Ladybug is the main character and Chair Noir is the main love interest. He gets more plot significance outside of that through his parents and their connection to the plot, but even in Chat Blanc, they still have Chat reframe everything that's happened to be about his feelings for Ladybug. '[Their] love destroyed the world.' No... His love for Ladybug had nothing to do with why he was akumatized. You could argue that his powers backfiring the way they do was because he loved Ladybug too much to hurt her, so he tried to turn them on himself, but still. The MAIN point of that episode SHOULD have been about the way his father had hurt him, but it still gets reframed to be about his feelings for Ladybug.
I guess that's my point - if given the chance, the writers ALWAYS reframe everything in Chat's life to be about loving Ladybug. We the fandom can write all the meta we want and psychoanalyse WHY that might be the case, and I love that, but within the actual show itself, I don't trust that they're ever going to get any deeper than 'coz Chat loves Ladybug' based on the way they've written everything up till now.
I'm so, so sorry. This got stupidly long, so please feel free to ignore this! I guess I just needed to vent. Once again, I HOPE I'm wrong, because I really would love to see all these things fandom is theorising about explored, but I don't wanna be disappointed and still want to enjoy the show, so I'd rather be prepared

The thing is, I don't see that last frame as being romantic. I could be wrong of course, but there are a few things that tell me there's more to it than simply romance there:
the fact that we don't see Chat Noir's expression at all, only his eyes. I doubt he's smiling there
Ladybug framed in his eyes shows more that he has so much hope in her and the promise she's making to him. She's really important in his life and he needs that confirmation that she won't go away, like other important people in his life did
The other thing that tells me this whole ladynoir conflict won't be about his unrequited love is that this season hasn't really been focused on that for them. And that it seems that this will be dealt with in the episode prior to Hack San.
If it turns out that they make it only about romance then yes, I'll be disappointed, but I feel like it's really not gonna be the chore of the problem because there has been too much things unrelated to romance framed by the plot regarding their miscommunication issues. We'll see..!
As for Chat Blanc, the reason he didn't say his father was the one hurting him is quite simple: it would give Ladybug too much information and it would make the plot too easy. So it was a writing choice, not to make it romantic, but to make it so Marinette doesn't know that 1. Chat Noir has big homelife problems and isn't being treated right by his father 2. she has no idea his father is Hawkmoth 3. it adds another layer of the "superhero can't date" drama going on. They purposefully left that out not to reduce Chat Noir's akumatisation to his romantic feelings for her, but to make it so Ladybug has absolutely no idea what really caused it.
Anyway, sorry this is getting long too! Don't apologise, it's also normal to be worried about where this season is heading because we have no idea and we see that there's more and more at stake so it's normal to be kinda afraid that our expectations are too high. And to be frank that messy schedule with the episodes being released at random isn't helping us to see the big picture clearly. I'm staying positive because so far, apart from maybe a thing or two, I haven't been disappointed this season so I don't see a reason to be by the ladynoir conflict!

Always positive/Always negative
Now these are two prompt which are the opposites of each other.
For both of them we need:
the miraculous ladybug universe
Gabe having character development
a certain girl called Diana Luna
Now for the first one!
Always positive starts shortly after chameleon.
So Lila is back, has everyone wrapped around her finger except for Marinette and Adrien, they're still in their two love squares, and the heroes all got their miraculous.
Now this is where Diana comes in.
Her family moved to Paris a few days ago, and now she's going to attend the same school as the Miracuclass. She's even gonna be in it.
Now Diana is a special girl. She's always positive. Meaning she can't feel any negative emotion at all.
She learned to identify when she would have those feelings though, as for when she'd doubt something, there'd be a lack of trust.
So when she enters the class, first she introduced herself.
It goes a little bit like this:
"Hey everybody, I'm Diana Luna. Me and my dads moved here a week ago and now I'm gonna be in your class. I really enjoy reading, singing and drawing. Oh, and a quick note, I can't feel any negative emotions. However I notice when I should. I hope you'll accept that. If you don't believe me, then don't. If you do, THANKS A LOT! Yeah, that's it. I hope at least some of you believe me, and that those few will end up my friends!"
And that got a lot of different reactions.
Adrien, with his heart of gold, would of course believe her, and maybe be like hey, one person I don't have to save.
Marinette would be like wait should I pity her or not. Wait she probably doesn't want me to pity her. Wait can she even not want something- (more internal spiraling)
Lila would be like she should be an easy target if what she says is true. She can't feel doubt after all.
To only name those three.
So of course, as it is the only free seat, Diana goes to sit next to Lila. Who of course wants to start one of her stories, but Diana is like "can we talk later? I wouldn't want to miss out on my first lesson, ok? Thanks!" And Lila is just so confused about this new girl that she in fact DOES stop.
After the lesson of course, she'll try her stories, maybe I'll write something short for that.

If anyone was able to resist negative emotions when facing all of his sentimonsters and the akumas
he send out, he would surrender the butterfly and the peacock miraculous to them.
However, if the heroes weren’t able to find a person, they had to give him theirs.
They get multiple tries, but once started, they only have 24 hours until they have to give up if they
don’t succeed.

So far the list of sighted sentimonsters are guilt, the giant lollipop monster and Ladybug.
The akumas are Animaestro, Gamer 2.0, Copycat, Sandboy, Dark Cupid, Horrificator, Reverser, Silencer, Reflekta, Lies and Truth.

Of course Marinette and Adrien immediately think of Diana. But they're both not sure if she's able to do it.
I mean, they could just try to defeat all of the akumas, even taking on a fake Luka or someone copying him, cause he's akumatized two times, but only a few people know that.
But she's the only person they know, so they plan on asking her, but they think they have to figure out a way to convince their partner to trust her.
Meanwhile Nadja gets akumatized once again.
Then Diana calls the studio and she picks up, but since she still sound like Nadja, and it's over the phone, she doesn't notice it's not her.
So now Hawkmoth knows there is a candidate.
That's why he sends Copycat and Sentibug there.

So this one start shortly before miracle queen.
And it's not really a happy beginning.

Marinette comes out of Fu's massage shop when she sees her.
Lying on the floor, bruises everywhere you can see. Shivering. Outside with only her PJs on, in the pouring rain. Curled up.
She immediately knocks at his door again and they get her inside.

Warmth. That's the first thing she felt when she woke up. When she opened up her eyes, she saw a girl, looking worriedly at her.

So Diana woke up in Fu's shop. Of course she's scared at first, but she quickly opens up to them, since they're kind to her.
Now the thing with THIS Diana is that she can't feel positive emotions. But she is able to feel the lack of them, and she can control them pretty well, since she delt with them her whole life.

What's the deal with her mother?
She's just a big asshole. She wants everyone to believe they're a happy family. She started beating her husband after they got married because he said they should talk about their problems rather than ignoring them.
Like their child not being able to feel positive emotions.
But she didn't want to hear it. He left them soon after Diana turned 6. Whick made it harder for her mother to keep up the image. But miraculously, she managed. (Pun not intended)
So, since she couldn't beat him anymore, she started beating her daughter.
At the beginning it didn't hurt that much. Maybe she still had a fragment of a moral code left inside her or something and didn't want to beat a child.
But it got worse after Diana turned 10. Because she couldn't be homeschooled forever.
So whenever her mother found out that someone knew they weren't always happy, she punished Diana for not being a convincing actor. Which means she hit her.
But the problem is that these other children don't forget like this. And of course they talk to their parents.
So one day when everyone is having cake, on of the mothers asks about it, not expecting there to really be anything. But then a father says his child said something similar too. Another mother says her twins noticed something too.
And with that, the illusion breaks.
Diana runs out of the room crying.
Later her mother beats her up again and again and again. When she thinks Diana is unconscious, she takes a break and tries to fix everything with her friends. That's the moment Diana escapes.
She can barely walk, she's cold, but she just wants to get away from that monster. She wouldn't even care if she was akumatized now probably. This can't get any worse.
And that's where I started.

From here on, it'll get better, and even a little bit funnier.
Now being a teenager, and her mother not being around to 'keep her in check', her emotions grow bigger and louder.
One day when Hawkmoth opens his window to look for a victim, all he senses is the burning anger of a 14-year-old..... Normally a perfect victim. But OH BOI is he wrong.
Punisher, I am Hawkmothe. You have been-
Oh shut up and get out.
Then she throws away the bracelet the akuma entered.
This happens often, because her emotions are just always there. She's sorta blocking his radar.
She doesn't WANT to try to reduce the negative emotions. She's finally NOT suppressing them but letting them out. And she doesn't need a f*cking akuma for that.

Now Gabriel isn't dumb. Well sometimes he is, especially with twelve specific akumas. But not in this story. Oh no.

"I don't know what to do Nathalie, she's blocking my view, I can't sense anything."
"What exactly is the reason you can't akumatize her?"
"She keeps throwing away that bracelet of hers the butterfly always enters."
"Then I suggest finding out what is her problem and feeding into it so she won't be able to refuse your offer...."
