I'm finally watching the DiCaprio gatsby and this is so fucking wild. We need to bring back this era of adapting the classics in the weirdest ways possible

The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)
This is a Movie Health Community evaluation. It is intended to inform people of potential health hazards in movies and does not reflect the quality of the film itself. The information presented here has not been reviewed by any medical professionals.
The Wolf of Wall Street has brief use of severe strobe lights for about 20 seconds in an early strip club scene, and for about a minute in a party scene in an office. One scene takes place during a heavy thunderstorm with strobes of lightning and broken electrical equipment. Emergency vehicle strobe lights are used in one montage.
One brief scene depicts peril at extreme heights. Another scene takes place on choppy waters. All of the camera work in this film is either stationary or very smooth.
Flashing Lights: 8/10. Motion Sickness: 1/10.
TRIGGER WARNING: The protagonist is unsympathetic, frequently paying to humiliate people, and gleefully hurting lower-class people. The graphic aftermath of a death by suicide is shown for about a second. One person vomits just after seeing a lot of blood, and later, another person tries to make himself vomit. Homophobic and ablest slurs are briefly used. A safe word is ignored during a sexual encounter. A pet is killed to punish its owner. A domestic argument turns physically violent, and ends with child endangerment.
NOTE: The Flashing Lights Warning Track for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is now available on our Patreon page at Patreon.com/MovieHealth. Access will be free, even without a Patreon account, until October 1.
