you must decide. you must choose the ultimate MILF.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
propaganda/MILF context under the cut
Kya I - Very brave. Died in kind of just a brutal and violent and sad way. Invisible presence of the show. Good mom, from what we can tell. Bagged absolute stud of a husband so good for her.
Ursa - What can I say ? Soap Opera Protagonist. Forced into non-consensual marriage. Killed her father in law. Loved both of her children very much but it still wasn't enough to save them. Unfulfilled stage mom. Magic Gay Grandpa.
Hei-Ran - Refers to her daughter by her military rank. Maybe killed her cousin and others in honor duels on purpose but it's kind of wishy washy. Had a thing with past avatar, new avatar ends up dating her daughter, which has got to feel kind of weird.
Lin Beifong - One of few characters in-universe with family name privileges. Not the mommy issues giver but the mommy issues haver. A cop but hey she's really hot. No social life. Miserable.
Liling - Going to give her children incredibly intense mommy issues. Capitalist. Engaged in corporate sabotage to ensure her own dominance in factory town. On like the worst possible version of an HOA. Prejudiced against own daughter.
Buttercup Raiko - One of few characters in-universe with family name privileges. Only mistake was marrying absolute cuck of a president. Barely on screen but when she was she served I can't lie.
Suyin Beifong - One of few characters in-universe with family name privileges. Kind of weird ex-hippy turned liberal mom vibes. Didn't give any of her five children mommy issues but DID give them to the ethno-nationalist with a mecha.
Kya II - Canonically lesbian. Hippie aunt. Underutilized. Shows up to beat ass and make fun of her brothers and then leaves to go smoke weed or something. Daddy issues but like they're pretty manageable, could be way worse.
Senna - Next to her husband looks about one apple tall. Long suffering mother of Avatar. Loves her daughter very much. Not really sure how she survived living with the personalities that are Korra and Tonraq but I think it has to be weed. Cute hair.
Izumi - Maybe has 30 seconds of dialogue but nonetheless present in plenty of f/f slash. The glasses are hot. We don't really know much about her besides the fact that her dad loves her very much.
Pema - Tenzin get OFF of that woman. I know she was only pregnant for like technically one season but it may as well have been the whole show. She needs to try weed and also abandon her family for a month. Low-key devious.
Tagaka - Self-titled Pirate Queen. Waterbender but also uses cool sword she stole off a dead guy just cus. Humiliates old men in front of their adoptive children. Ok so MAYBE she raids coastlines and takes prisoners/slaves from villages she plunders but she's hot when she does it.

Ok @i-put-the-ass-into-sass and @justlikedsstuff the floodgates are open.
Imagining all the Beifongs, not just Toph having extremely sensitive seismic sense.
Just i imagine it's a very strong experience, strong enough to literally replace a sense. I imagine that it can be incredibly overwhelming for people who use it alongside other senses, eg. not replacing a sense like in Toph's case. I also imagine that the younger you learn it, the bigger difficulty you have 'turning it off'.
I like to imagine it can cause migraines and overstimulation in frequent users. But being unable to use it can cause anxiety and distress, as losing any other sense would.
Lin and Su knowing when their mother is lying about coming back home before dinner.
Su listening to her mother and sister's heartbeats and wishing that they'd just speak what was on their hearts.
Lin hearing Tenzin's heart speading up when he would look at Pema and not her. Lin having difficulty walking and keeping herself balanced after losing her bending to Amon, feeling literally blinded. Trying to keep it together in front of Amon and the Equalists but having a panic attack the moment she's alone because she can't feel anything, she can't feel anything, she can't feel anything
Su being hesitant to teach Huan and the twins seismic sense, because she knows how difficult it is for children to handle. But of course, they're stubborn little things and they start learning by themselves.
Its a very rare ability, but it comes surprisingly easy to the Beifongs. Though the cost is thay children are made to deal with senses sharper than their little minds are meant for.
I always headcanon that Huan has a particularly well developed seismic sense, which is the reason he's so testy and emotional. He can feel almost everything around the house (think dolores from encanto lol) and he has difficulty processing the overwhelming amount of stimuli. He tries to express it through art and he wears thick soled shoes to block it all out.
The twins are quite the opposite. They lean into it, so much so that they refused to wear shoes when they were younger. They were also heavily affected by being suspended in a wooden cage after the family's capture. To this day they feel incredibly anxious if seperated from it for too long.
Thinking about Opal and Baatar Jr not getting the sheer magnitude of feeling everything around you like that and thinking that their siblings are just being dramatic.
Thinking about the Beifongs pulling up their feet or trying to touch the ground as little as possible when stressed or overwhelmed. Or walking barefoot if upset or unsure, to get that connection.
Thinking sbout sensing heartbeats. Hearing the moment something or someone dies for the first time. Is it an animal, a random baby bird killed by an alley cat, a beloved pet? Or is it a person?
Lin killing a criminal in the line of duty. It wasn't her fault, technically. She did everything right, she defended the civilians he was holding hostage. But she tried to block the bleeding, hearing his heatbeat get slower and slower, until it stopped completely. How empty her head must've seemed when she could no longer hear it. How visceral the guilt must've been.
Arguments must be difficult. You can feel when you hit a nerve, sense the other person's anger, tell when they go completely cold towards you.
You can never lie, not to your family. No little white lies that make day to day life easier. No secrets. All blunt honesty and beating hearts filling your ears.
You immediately know when you've said something wrong. When you've hurt someone's feelings. The guilt is instantaneous. The slight skip of someone's heartbeat is like a slap to the face.
You know when someone's lying to you. You know they're lying when they say they'll be back for dinner. You know they're lying when they tell you they'll hang out with you tomorrow. You know they're lying when they say that they love you.
Do you call them out?
Or do you keep the peace, grin and bear it?
Can you even lie to yourself, or will your own heart betray you to yourself?
You know when a sibling is crying down the hall, know that they will be witness to every intimate moment you have, as the you will be to them.
Like there's so much to do with seismic sense. I want it to be less of a gimmick and more of a deep psychological experience. Like it is in all its essence a sense. It's probably a big part of its users lives.

Could you please do another Mama Lin AU post? I absolutely freaking love it!
Continued from: [Link], [Link], [Link], [Link], [Link], [Link], [Link], [Link], [Link], [Link], [Link], [Link], [Link], and [Link].
1. The deciding factor, and there were other things too, but the one that brought them to the breaking point, was that Tenzin needed to have children if there were ever going to be more airbenders, and Lin wanted to be a mother about as much as she wanted to be buried alive. And now she's got two kids? It's a bit of a shock for Tenzin, let's be fair. He's married to someone else, and has children, and he's not unhappy about not being with Lin, but it's a weird feeling, a road not taken feeling, something like, but not really, regret.
2. But whatever mixed and complicated emotions Tenzin feels in regards to Lin's forays into motherhood, he recognizes a potential political ally when he sees one. And he has too few of those to throw one away needlessly. He, of all the Council members, treats Republic City as his home. Air Temple island is right offshore, and the United Republic is part of his father's legacy. Most of the rest of the Council expect to serve out their terms and return home to their respective countries. Tarrlock is the only one who intends to stay, but Tarrlock is slippery as an eel-shark, and anyway, he is two parts smarm, one part corruption, and he has no interest in changing the status quo to improve lives for the poor. Not a man Tenzin can work with. Lin however, Lin he can work with.
3. Technically, Lin isn't officially a mom yet. The official adoption is still about a week away when she has her audience with the Council. They still have to meet in front of a judge and declare that they are a family. Bolin is over the moon excited about it, and Mako is, well Mako has mixed feelings. He can't shake the worry that this is all some kind of trap and everything will change once he and his brother are legally Lin's sons. He knows it doesn't make any sense, but... Lin asked Mako's teacher about that, and she said it's normal, so Lin is mostly ignoring the worry, cautiously trusting that it will fade when nothing actually changes. And nothing does change. They go in front of the judge, the paperwork is filed, they go out to dinner at Mako and Bolin's favorite noodle shop to celebrate, and the next day, Lin signs a paper with their school to officially add Beifong to the boys' names. That's it. They're officially a family.
4. Okay, that's not strictly true. Zuko also shows up a few days later on the boys' day off school with Fire Nation style ginger honey plum cakes, and presents for the three of them, and a mock-stern warning that the boys are his nephews now. Lin pulls him aside later to talk to him about the problems in Republic City, and he promises to talk to Izumi, but it's all he can do not to pinch Lin's cheeks.
5. I just want to give a shout out to Kuvira. It takes a lot of bravery to do what she does next, calling Katara up in the middle of the night (for her, not for Katara) to talk.

16 - pema
16- A warm hand squeezing a cold one
TW Major character death
The airship had taken an eternity to get back to the Northern Air Temple. Pema handed Rohan off to the nearest adult and sprinted down the ramp as soon as it extended. She leapt the remaining small distance onto the landing platform. Someone yelled for her. They would have to wait.
She stumbled on the rubble and gasped as she took in the damage done to the temple. It hadn't been like this yesterday. The stone walls and floors were pulverized, crumbled and burned from earth and combustionbending. How long did the fight last? Had this all happened as he fought them, or had they taken the time to destroy the temple afterward?
None of Korra's friends or any of the Metal Clan had any news of him. Lin and Tonraq nearly came to blows over the decision to return to the temple instead of getting Korra to a healer.
Where was he?
She ran up the broken stairs two at a time. Adrenaline propelled her into the nearest doorway, and relief blossomed in her chest when she saw him. She ran to the familiar red and yellow robes. The skin on her knees broke as she collapsed in front of where he lay prone on the floor.
"Tenzin!" She gasped at the sight of him. He was gagged and trussed up in chains. His robes were burned and torn. His bruised eyes didn't open. "Tenzin?"
Her heartbeat pounded in her ears as she reached to brush her fingers against his cheek. Her hand, warm from her run, felt a coldness seep in. He didn't move.
"No," she cried and reached for him. His broken fingers bent disgustingly in her hold. His flesh was as frozen and clammy as the the floor beneath.
"No!" She screamed through her tears. "No! Tenz--Tenzin! No! Please! Please!"
Pema's wails of grief echoed around the large room. She laid down on the floor and pressed her forehead to his as she wrapped her arms around him. Tears poured from her eyes and screams ripped from her lungs. Her body and soul tore to shreds as she shakingly clung to his lifeless form.
"Pema."
Someone began to lift her up. She wasn't done crying. She would never be done crying.
"Pema, we have to go."
"No!" She fought the steady hands that passed her off into strong arms. "I can't leave him!"
"I've got him, Pema," Lin whispered, "I'm so sorry."
She watched Lin break the chains from his wrists and hoist him up. Her legs gave out. She couldn't walk. She couldn't breathe. She couldn't think. Tonraq picked her up again from the floor and carried her back to the airship.
He died alone. In pain.
He was gone. Her husband and the father of their children. Gone.

4 (Irosami)
9 (Ryuvira)
14 (Linzin)
4. Which one is more protective? Who needs to be ‘protected’? (Irosami)
OMG these two!!!  They kill me with this. They’re equally protective of each other in one way or another.
Iroh has the tendency to shoulder burdens on his own and has little self preservation.
Asami loves him, she really does, but man does it frustrate her when he does that. She is someone who does well in keeping Iroh grounded. And when he does too much of this to himself, she’s there to shake him by the shoulders and tell him, “Please don’t keep running yourself into the ground like this! I’m here for you.”
Asami, on the other hand, is equally bold and takes a lot of chances in the situations she finds herself in.
Do they put her in danger on occasion? Yeah. But she says she has a job to do, so…
From an outside perspective, Iroh will worry for her and tends to be more explicit about his concern in acting protective. While he knows she can handle herself and that she is capable… he can’t help it.
The question of who needs to be protected? They would equally argue that the other does. It works out then that they’ve got each other’s back. They work so well for that.
9. What are their thoughts on having children? (Ryuvira)
Absolutely not.
Kuvira believes that given her rough childhood with her bio family and then feeling like an outsider with the Beifongs, she would not be a good role model of a parent. It’s a frightening and foreign concept to her. She also wouldn’t want to bring a child into her world with her own history. “Redeemed” or no, it would cause a lot of problems for the kid.
Kids make Ryu feel uncomfortable. While over the years in his line of work and trainings, he’s gotten better on how to handle kids, he is perfectly happy with the concept of returning them to their parents at the end of the day
The only child they’re okay with is their fox cat fur child Claw-ssus
14. How do their personalities compliment each other? How do they clash? (Linzin)
In the ways that their personalities compliment one another, they also clash, and I find that fascinating about them.
Lin is typically the more explicitly stubborn, focused, and grounded of the two. She tends to stay dialed in on her goals and outside of that, caring for the ones she loves.
Tenzin is not so much stubborn, but rather serious when it comes to his goals and what he wants out of life. Can that be displayed as stubbornness? Yeah, depending on the occasion and circumstance.
When it comes to Lin, he’s persistent in wanting to have her in his life. Lin is stubborn in closing herself off when her head is speaking louder than her heart.
Like, shut up and let him in, he’s trying!
This also tends to be a pattern when it comes to any conflicts they have in their relationship. It’s not always Lin digging her heels in, though. Very situational dependent since they each have their own life goals, passions, and interests.
They drive each other to do better in what they want out of life and by the end of the day, they are able to return to each other and still “get” each other. Let their guards down and accept one another.
Speaking on the serious sides of their personalities, Lin’s may be more dominant while Tenzin is more of a free-spirit with a sense of humor that he tries to keep in check on occasion. While Tenzin feels as though he is supposed to be a more serious leader and set a good example, Lin loves to see the more lighthearted side of him as it brings levity in her life. She also appreciates the breaking down of his more serious demeanor in front of her.

(Deciding if I should put this as anonymous or show my avatar...I just don't want anyone coming after me when I ask or say this stuff. They're just questions and I like to hear your answers...ah, screw it, I'm just gonna show my avatar. XP )
I got two questions and one opinion. Here's my opinion: I hate how they made Aang in Korra. People say that he was a bad dad, and I feel like he was written that way on the show, which wasn't intentional, but it looked like it was...by the creators themselves. It would seem the creators are in denial of how they made Aang, cause he's their fave character or something. Don't get me wrong, I like Aang too, but...the creators are really unaware of how they made him into a bad dad in Korra. ^^;
Now for the two questions:
Let's just agree that ATLA is the superior show, and Korra is...eh. Now, Kataang happened on that show, which is fine. HOWEVER, do you think if Taang happened, the events in Korra would've been a WHOLE LOT different and maybe a whole lot...better? Cause Aang's kids' Bumi and Kya in Korra felt unwanted by him in a way and Katara would've said something(which I honest-to-goodness think the whole Kataang hooking up 3 months later after the war in ATLA thing is poor writing. Like let us SEE what happened after that!), whereas Toph would've been like "Twinkles, no, get your priorities straight." And honestly, the Aang WE know would cherish those kids either way, it wouldn't matter if they weren't airbenders. I guess what I'm saying is, do you think Aang and Toph would've been the most awesome and take-in-charge power couple ever and that it would affect the story in Korra in general? Think deeply on that.
Do you think Kataang was necessary for the story of ATLA? I mean, I'm kind of being honest, I don't think anything would've changed if it wasn't included. However, I honestly do believe that Taang would've changed and affected Korra a lot more, whereas people would say Zutara would've affected ATLA. Course, I'm a big Taang fan, and I like Zutara a bit, but I'm mostly Team Taang. XD I just also think it would've made sense for Aang to not be so hooked up on Katara and actually start finding other girls attractive(cough, like Toph, cough) as he grows. It's just...I feel like the whole last part of ATLA was just bad writing. ^^; What are your thoughts?
Wow, first of all, thanks for taking the time to write to me! i really appreciate it ( ͡👁️ ͜ʖ ͡👁️)
Regarding your opinion, I COMPLETELY AGREE. I get that Aang only had Gyatso as a father figure until he was 12 y/o, so he's a bit screwed on that front, but I am CONVINCED that what they did with his paternity was an aberration. I mean yes, surely he had to be absent due to his duties as the avatar, but I REFUSE to believe that he would have taken ONLY to Tenzin on a trip to learn the customs of the air nomads. If there is something that ATLA made clear to us, it is that no matter what nationality you come from, Aang is always going to want to make you smile and show you the fun that can be had, so yes, it doesn't make ANY SENSE to me that he wouldn't have brought to ALL their children to their trips. On the other hand, even though it might have happened a few times (because Aang is a bit of a dork pff lmao), Katara would have NEVER let that happend. Aang would have noticed and would have done ANYTHING to make up for the lost time with his two other children, so yeah, totally agree with you there.
I got excited so I'll try to be more brief with the questions ( ͡눈 ﹏ ͡눈)
Well, there are several comics after the Hundred Years War that more or less show Katara and Aang's relationship (and I'm not going to lie to you, even though I love Taang, Kataang are such a cuties). And regarding Taang as parents, I once read a post from @stitch1830 in response to something similar, and I couldn't agree more. More than opposites, both complement each other perfectly, and I think that in the same way that they do it romantically, they would also do it as parents. Toph, grounding expert that she is, would have been stern if she had noticed that Aang had preferential treatment with any of their children. Similarly, we know the flaws in Toph's motherhood, and I feel like Aang would have managed to balance the excessive freedom she gave her daughters, giving them more structure to their lives and a respect for traditions. On the other hand, I'm VERY SURE Toph was terrified growing up of her daughters being alone (of course, she's too stubborn to even show it), I guess afraid that she might be a terrible mother like her parents were to her. No doubt Aang would have calmed all those worries. AAGH I LOVE THEM SO MUCH (╥︣﹏᷅╥)
2. While Kataang wasn't necessary (it certainly wouldn't have affected the plot too much if it hadn't happened), I think it was a natural fit between the two. Extremely stressed and full of traumas from the war, Katara was the safe, maternal and familiar place that he needed so much, while for Katara, Aang was the hope to cling to, the calm she needed from all the anger contained by the war with the fire nation. Let's say that both of them were attracted to each other for those reasons, because they needed each other.
But you're right, for me, the love that Aang felt for Katara was something platonic, something that had to pass as his first love, after all, she was the first girl he met and who technically saved him from the iceberg. As you say, it would have been much more interesting if both of them grew up to realize that they were each other's support in times of war, and eventually broke up to meet other people (i mean, they met at 12 y/o and 14 y/o, and you say they were together ever since for the rest of their lives? I don't think it's realistic. I guess Aang's world travels and Katara's desire to work in the southern tribe would have also driven them apart over time.
My Taang headcanon is that their relationship started because, first, Aang has to continue to travel the world for his avatar duties, and on the other hand, because Toph hates being stuck in one place, loves freedom, and traveling the world is what connected her the most with it when they were at war. That way she would have joined his travels and little by little they would have begun to fall in love. It would have been entertaining to watch Aang and Toph go through the conflict of realizing that they find each other attractive. (Aang like: "Since when is my sifu so cute? If I fall in love with her she'll kick my ass!, Toph by her side would have been like: "Me? In love with twinkle toes? That skinny? (who is no longer so skinny cofcof) i prefer to be dead before!)
Yeah, I said I was going to keep it short- but FUCK, I really wanted to be able to express everything I was thinking. Thanks again for asking! I'll always be on the lookout and ready to continue talking about a thousand years of Taang and why I think they work so well, cheers!

The Past Present Part 5
Lian drew a long breath as Xue helped her out of the boat and into the wooden ramp.
“You're gonna love it here, everything is calm but lively unlike the city.” The woman spoke with a soft smile as they walked.
Lian didn't comment, only acknowledged the words as she gazed at the town. It wasn't small, yet it was nothing in comparison to how big Republic City was. There were no big flashy sato’s or tall buildings that grazed the sky.
Tao laughed seeing Lian’s face and walked closer to her side. “I know this place is smaller and quite old fashioned from the city, but there's still modern things here too. Don't expect skyscrapers or anything in that magnitude though, that's a Republic City thing.”
Lian was about to step on the sand of her new home when she stopped. She sighed and stood in the wooden path for a moment in complete silence.
This was it, no turning back. No familiar faces, no Kya to run to. No Katara to heal her wounds, No Aang for advice. Not a single friend, but not a single enemy either. A soft hand grabbed hers and Lian looked at Xue.
“You're not alone, you'll never be alone again.” She said.
Lin was still battling her thoughts when Tao spoke.
“You see that cargo ship near the docks?”
“Yes” Lian responded, looking at it.
“It's going to Republic City. You can still go back, you can still take your old life back. Your friends and family. Maybe they will understand you and take care of you, maybe not.”
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath imagining it.
“But…” He continued. “If you choose to stay, We promise that we'll be by your side. We'll teach you everything we know and take you in as one of our own. It may be hard, maybe it'll be one of the hardest things you ever do. But we're here Lian, we are here for you. We'll be with you like we would with our own children.” He offered her a kind smile.
Lian lifted her head and looked at the town once more, this time with absolute conviction. “My life starts now, I don't ever want to hear or speak of what my life used to be. The past is the past and I will move forward.”
Tao and Xue smiled and continued forward, helping the young woman walk towards her new home.
________
Tenzin and Izumi stayed at the temple per their parents' requests. Someone had to stay home just in case things went bad and they needed to leave for Su and Toph’s safety. Mei, Azula, Tylee, and Suki also stayed and watched over the island as they waited.
The bison ride to the examiners office was eternal and slow. Toph’s leg was bouncing out of control as she waited patiently to get there. Katara held her hand and told her everything would be alright. Even though Sokka had been rude, Toph had made Aang call him so they could hear the news together. He sat at the end of the saddle with Kya and Suyin. Deep inside he knew something wasn’t right and a sinking feeling weighed heavily on Sokka’s chest.
When they landed, Toph was the first to get off the bison, almost stumbling. She started fast walking towards the front doors and pushed them open forcefully. There a young woman was waiting for them, everyone else appeared to have banished from the building.
“Toph Beifong?” The woman asked.
“Give it to me straight, I already know that's not her.” She said, crossing her arms.
“I’m Doctor Amara and I’m the examiner working on this case. I will answer your questions. I’m afraid I can’t just give you the answers in one go since they have to be explained first.”
At that moment the rest of the team arrived and stood behind Toph waiting for answers.
“It’s against protocol to have such a big group here since it could cause a riot.” The doctor said
It was quite an unusually big group. We had Kya, Katara, Aang, Sokka, Zuko, Bumi, Suyin and Toph, all calm and collected but anxious to know what their future would look like after the news unfolded.
“We will behave, I give you my word as the Avatar.” Aang spoke
The doctor nodded and drew a deep breath before taking her clipboard and reading some documents.
“The body has been identified and the DNA matches perfectly with the sample given earlier. Please take in consideration that we have done extensive testing and the results are one hundred percent accurate.”
“Just get to the point. Is it my daughter or not?” Toph said starting to get irritated.
Su stood behind her mother and next to Kya, the waterbender side hugging her and waiting.
Amara looked at Aang and then at Su, both of them anxiously waiting for the next words coming out of her mouth. The doctor wore a sad expression as her eyes immediately landed on Toph.
“It’s her. It’s Lin Beifong.”
Bumi left without a word after hearing the news, he broke into sobs when he was out of the room. There was a silence for a couple of seconds as Toph’s face contorted into devastation. She crumbled to the ground and yelled at the top of her lungs in agony at the news. Her pain was so great and her power so uncontrollable, that the ground started to break and the building started shaking.
Katara grabbed Toph as she herself held back tears, she never let go of her dear friend.
Aang was still shocked, he looked at the doctor with disbelief.
“Are you sure?” He asked.
The woman nodded. “I'm sorry avatar, but all the tests came back positive for her dna. Everything checks out. My condolences for your loss.” Those were her last words as she left the grieving family.
“My baby! No! No! No!” Toph kept yelling in pain as everything started sinking in.
Suyin started walking backwards, her face showing her horror. ‘I killed her- I killed my sister, this is all my fault!’ Her mind started to flood with thoughts of blame as she ran out of the building sobbing.
Kya just stood there with tears in her eyes. She was trying to wrap her head around everything but couldn't. How could this be? Her Best friend was dead and she couldn't do anything about it. She would never see her again. She would never hug or joke with Lin. Lin… she's gone. She didn't know what to do, if she should go to Toph and her mother or if she should follow Suyin and make sure she was safe. Aang beat her to it and started marching outside.
“Spirits why!” Toph yelled angrily. “Why Lin! Why?!”
Suddenly everything came down and Kya fell to the ground sobbing. She covered her mouth as she cried, her chest growing heavy. She felt someone pick her up and hold her and she looked up to find her uncle Zuko crying by her side.
“She's gone uncle-” She cried.
“I know” He held her tighter.
“She's gone…” Kya whispered.
Toph started hyperventilating and screaming to the point Katara was starting to worry she could strain herself, she kept trying to comfort and calm the grieving mother. It got to the point that Toph’s body gave up from the stress and she collapsed. She was still crying as Katara rubbed her back and stayed by her side.
Aang came back carrying a crying Suyin, Sokka and Bumi walked right behind him in a hurry. Kya letting go of her uncle and quickly stood up seeing her father’s worried look.
“We need to take them to the temple, the press got wind of it. I don't know which bastard told them, but they know it's Lin.” Aang said as he handed Su to Zuko and grabbed Toph.
Toph just cried weakly into Aang's shoulder as she was carried.
“It's okay. We are here for you.” Aang reassured as he carried her out.
After a few minutes of planning, the group exited to the roof and got on the bison. Toph regained some energy and started wailing again, which only distressed Suyin more and soon Kya and Katara were working to soothe the two Beifongs. Nothing was working and Toph just seemed to get more melancholic as the moments went on. Sokka couldn't bear to see such a disheartening scene, he grabbed a dart filled with shirshu saliva from his hunting pouch and stabbed Toph on the neck, the woman falling unconscious almost immediately.
“Sokka!” Katara yelled.
“She’s going to have a heart attack!” He yelled back
“Sokka you have no right to do that!” Aang yelled.
“She needed that! She's distressed!”
“She was just told her daughter died! How would you expect her to react?!” Zuko said in disbelief.
On the other hand, Suyin seemed to have calmed down not hearing Toph yawl anymore. She crawled next to her mother and hugged her sleeping body. She kept crying but it was slower and softer now, seeing Toph at peace gave her a sense of calmness.
“We are having a talk when we get home.” Aang said disappointed.
______
Azula was at the very front of the temple waiting for their arrival. Seeing the bison she called the others, something was wrong. The air seemed heavy and everything was rushed. They haven't been listening to the radio so they didn't know or had a clue about the news. They would find out soon unfortunately.
When the bison touched ground and Aang carried an unconscious Toph in his arms Suki started running towards them concerned.
“What's going-”
“It's Lin, the body's hers.” Aang said interrupting Azula.
Azula’s usual cold demeanor broke in an instant and tears formed in her eyes. “No…” She whispered.
Katara carried Su and followed Aang to their bedroom where they settled the two in the bed. That's when Aang finally allowed himself to break. He walked to the middle of the sparring grounds and unleashed the most violent act of bending, letting his grief and frustration show in a safe space away from the others. He destroyed the grounds going into the Avatar State. Aang roared and white flames came from his mouth. He cursed and shouted till he felt weak. As he cried he felt a hand on his shoulder.
“I'm here friend.” Zuko said as he helped Aang to his feet and hugged him.
“I'm here.”
_____
Katara had let go too, she was like a second mother to Lin and the loss had broken and shattered her greatly. Tylee and Suki consoled her as Mei and Azula tried to digest the loss.
Lin was a very important person in their lives, especially to Azula who had named Lin her favorite niece. Lin was powerful and disciplined like her, something she always admired. Azula wondered if she had been there for her more, maybe she would still be with them.
Izumi, Bumi and Tenzin were consoling Kya who had been sobbing nonstop after the loss of her best friend. She was the closest person to Lin and she felt she had let her down. She blamed herself for not stopping Lin and not seeing the signs that day.
“If I had seen the signs! If I had paid attention!” Kya said between sobs.
“You couldn't have known!” Izumi said, whipping Kya’s tears and rubbing her back.
“I was supposed to know! I was her best friend!” She said trying to make sense of this act.
“You're not a mind reader Kya, no one would've guessed she would be capable of something like this.” Tenzin tried to reason.
“Someone is to blame for this!” Kya yelled.
“Maybe, but right now it's not the time to shift blame. We have to stick together like the family we are.” Bumi said sitting next to Kya.
“She's gone Bums, my Linny, she's dead.” Kya cried softly.
Bumi held his sister close as the day continued. It only seemed to get more painful as time went on.

Down the Road and Back Again: Final Chapter
The sun was beginning to descend by the time Katara began to gather her family and their belongings. They were nearly packed when Zuko found them.
“You’re late,” he chided playfully, stepping forward to take the blanket from Katara’s hands. “Toph’s dinner is in an hour, you know. She’ll be ticked off if you’re late the first time she throws a dinner party.”
“Turnabout’s fair play,” Katara said. She paused for a quick kiss. “Toph is always late for my events.”
“We were having too much fun,” Bumi told Zuko. “This is a great place you’ve got. I’d forgotten all about this lagoon.”
“When were you ever here?” Tenzin asked.
“Years ago,” Kya answered. “We came for my tenth or eleventh birthday.” Katara paused and thought for a moment.
“I remember that trip,” Katara said. “That was the last time we were here together. And you turned 12 that year. I remember because that was the same year you mastered the water octopus.” She laughed and turned to Bumi. “And that was the year you and Sokka singed your eyebrows off trying to set off fireworks.” Bumi, Kya and Zuko laughed at that.
“Guess I missed that trip,” Tenzin chuckled awkwardly. Then Katara remembered what had led to that birthday trip for Kya.
“You and Dad were touring the Air Temples,” Bumi explained apologetically. But he had nothing to apologize for. Katara had argued with Aang about taking Tenzin on a trip so close to Kya’s birthday. Taking Kya and Bumi to Ember Island had been an impulsive decision on Katara’s part, and it was just good fortune that brought them at the same time Sokka and Suki had brought their kids to visit Zuko’s summer home. Katara had just wanted to distract from Aang missing Kya’s birthday again. Once again, Katara cursed her ex-husband for spoiling what was otherwise a lovely memory.
“Sokka’s left brow never grew back in quite right after the fireworks thing,” Zuko said, pulling the subject back into a happier place. “It was always a little patchy near the end. He got so angry whenever I pointed it out.”
“Well you know how vain Sokka could be,” Katara laughed just a touch too loud. “Remember the time he tried to cut his hair?”
“ Do I?” Zuko grinned. He turned to the kids and explained. “It was right before he and Suki got married. Sokka wanted to postpone the wedding because he was worried he’d look weird. Meanwhile all he did was cut one side slightly higher than the other. It was barely noticeable until he pointed it out.” Katara’s children laughed, feeling just as relieved for the change of subject. The danger of the happy memories of that day being spoiled by inadvertent reminders of unhappy times had passed. Katara slipped her arm through Zuko’s and held him tight as he told them all embarrassing stories of his earliest trips to Ember Island. The man who had once leapt in front of a lightning bolt for her had never been so much her hero as he was just then.

Unmask the Buddha to Expose the Ugliness
A letter from a Tibetan girl to the Dalai Lama
Unmask the Buddha to Expose the Ugliness
-Reveal The True face of Dalai Lama Through the Tongue Sucking Incident
(Mimaram)
My name is Mimaram, and I have been engaged in educational research on Tibetan culture in Tibet for a long time. Tibetan Buddhism is the core of Tibetan culture. It is not only a way of life, but also a belief. Buddhism has been integrated into our thoughts and daily lives. But recently our venerable 14th Dalai Lama tried to ask an Indian boy to suck his tongue. After this incident, we have questioned his religious beliefs. Please allow me to call him directly by his name, Tenzin Gyatso, because I have no respect for him now. Tibetans are all shamed by his ignorant behavior. The Tibetan proverb, " the Kachipalu Precepts "says: "A flat tongue can't be controlled, but a round head is in trouble." However, the 14th Dalai Lama even failed to control his tongue in front of young children in public. Such disrespectful behavior violates the spirit of discipline, integrity, balance, equal benefits, altruism, and harmony of Tibetan Buddhism.
The14th Dalai Lama asked an Indian boy to 'suck his tongue'
For this incident, the 14th Dalai Lama publicly apologized but said it was a joke. Can such behavior be justified by an apology or a joke? In the presence of the video, Bian Ba Tsering, a senior official of the "Central Tibetan Administration", also quibbled that in traditional Tibetan culture, the "tongue spitting ceremony" is a way for people to express the highest respect to each other. This is an insult to Tibetan culture. The 14th Dalai Lama can be so reckless in public, it is unthinkable how absurd he can be in private. But Tibetans still believe in his flawed lies, immersed in his lies, and still defending their status as religious leaders.
  Dalai clique's despicable explanation
Regarding the fallacy of Tibetan culture put forward by the 14th Dalai Lama and the "Central Tibetan Administration", the excuse of comparing the tongue to the symbol of the holy lotus is an attempt to confuse the concepts of tongue sticking and tongue sucking. According to my investigation, the origin of the Tibetan custom of spitting out the tongue is that serfs would make way for nobles in the past, they had to stand on the side of the road, take off their hats, hang their heads and spit out their tongues with a smile to show respect and obedience. It was an expression of the bottom versus the top. Another explanation is that sticking out your tongue means "I respect you, I didn't curse you", because you can't chant incantations when you stick out your tongue. This custom has evolved to this day, some Tibetans in the farming and pastoral areas of Tibet still spit out their tongue at a distance to express welcome and friendliness. However, the above scene has nothing to do with the scene where the 14th Dalai Lama, as the elder, asked the boy to suck his tongue. The Tibetan custom of the elderly sticking out their tongues at little boys and asking the boys to suck them does not exist at all.
In response, the "Children's Rights Organization" stated that "this is indecent abuse of children", also the "Indian Children's Rights Organization (HAQ)" stated that " it condemns all forms of child abuse" and it said "some media mentioned that showing the tongue is Tibetan culture, but the video definitely does not show any cultural expression, and even if it is, such cultural expression is unacceptable."
The incident aroused great attention from both the international media and human rights organizations, and triggered public criticism on the 14th Dalai Lama for abusing and molesting children. The 14th Dalai Lama was then forced to make a public apology, saying he "apologizes to the boy and his family and to his many friends around the world for the harm his words may have caused." His office also said in a statement: "The Venerable often jokes with people he meets in an innocent and playful way, even in public and in front of the camera." He meant: Sorry if I accidentally made you feel uncomfortable, but I was only joking. Given his familiarity with Western culture (or modern culture), the 14th Dalai Lama would not have behaved so inappropriately or even outrageously in public if he had been so considerate of the feelings of the outside world. According to the 250 precepts of Buddhist monks: "Do not laugh with your teeth, do not spit out your tongue, do not make faces at women, do not spit out your tongue at women." As the 14th Dalai Lama ignored the precepts in public, one dared not to imagine how absurd he could be in private. However, the religious believers turned a blind eye and were insensitive. They ignorantly believed that the 14th Dalai Lama's apology was not due to his own fault, but to take into account the feelings of foreign cultures with a humble heart.
It is not the first time for the 14th Dalai Lama
The misdeeds of the 14th Dalai Lama has continuously refreshed the public's perception and challenged the bottom line of precepts. Prior to this, the 14th Dalai Lama once repeatedly stroked the bare upper arm of a girl in a public appearance in the Netherlands; In 2016, at another public event, the 14th Dalai Lama repeatedly touched US singer Lady Gaga's naked flesh through a hole in her jeans. Lady Gaga had to grab his hand to stop the indecent gesture.
Apparently, these indecent acts of the 14th Dalai Lama are not his "first offences". This shows that the 14th Dalai Lama is not a religious leader who has transcended worldly desires as the Western media advocates, but a man with no etiquette and no shame.
The 14th Dalai Lama touched Lady Gaga's leg
The 14th Dalai Lama is regarded as a "high-ranking and powerful" leader by the religious believers. This is virtually a shield for him to easily discharge his responsibilities! Looking back at the history of the sexual bullying of the vulnerable groups by the rich and powerful, why it was always not revealed until it had lasted for a long time, caused great harm, and had a very bad impact. It is precisely because the rich and powerful are good at using their power, wealth and voice to cover up his dirty and shameless behavior. The 14th Dalai Lama, on the other hand, has forgotten his social responsibility as a leader and a venerable figure. Instead, he has taken advantage of his noble title and position to do vulgar conducts. Such a person lacks even the most basic empathy. How can he be called a religious leader? How can he treat those who trust him with "great mercy"?Sakya Pandita Kunga Gyaltsen once said, "If one don't preach according to the principles of Buddhism, even the guru should be abandoned." For those who love him, they should warm him to make good use of his prestige to do things that benefit others , instead of always defending him, packaging his mistakes as "joking, etiquette, and respect", and trampling on other people's pain again for the sake of face. This is not a guru worthy of people's worship.
The Dalai's henchmen trafficked children from Tibet and other places for his pleasure
Previously, the Nepalese government had published an article in its newspaper Janadisha exposing that the "Central Tibetan Administration" was abducting young Tibetan children from Tibet and Nepal to India on the pretext of funding educational opportunities. Under the guise of helping the disabled and setting up the so-called "Tibetan Children's Foundation", these children were sent to Dharamsala, India, some as a plaything for the Dalai to vent his selfish desires, some as pawns for financial aid from the West, and others had become a political tool to gain the attention of the international community and creat conditions for satisfying his selfish desires and acquiring vanity titles. Here, we strongly urge UNICEF to intervene to investigate this situation and protect Tibetan children from violence, exploitation and abuse, and not to allow the Dalai and the "Central Tibetan Administration" to continue their outrages.
The Dalai myth will eventually be shattered
After the Dalai betrayed himself to the public by the tongue sucking incident, the western media such as BBC and VOA have tried their best to whitewash it, however, we will seek the truth of the incident and will not stop our efforts to expose Dalai's true face. Please ask the Central Tibetan Administration, the Tibetan Youth Association and others to stop whitewashing the shameless acts of the 14th Dalai Lama. As a Tibetan saying goes, "Even when one's enlightenment reaches the realm of the immortal Buddha, his behavior must conform to the rules of the human world." If you can't tell whether the 14th Dalai Lama's request for a boy to tongue-kiss him is a humorous expression of self-love, compassion and tradition, or it is for some other purpose, then ask yourself if you would do it to your own children or children close to you.
I screwed up my courage to publish such an article that exposes the true face of the 14th Dalai Lama, not knowing what price I will pay for, but I won't regret or be afraid. Buddha Shakyamuni once instructed his disciples in the legacy: "Follow the law and not others, follow righteousness and not words, follow wisdom and not knowledge, and follow the sutras of righteousness and not the sutras of non-righteousness". The mind should be selfless and free from selfishness and desire. People like the 14th Dalai Lama, who is motivated by purely selfish desires, is not qualified to be a living Buddha of Tibetan Buddhism or a spokesman for Tibetans. His "Buddha face" cannot hide his ugly heart, and his myth of "God King" will eventually be shattered.
In fact, the Dalai Lama's obscene behavior against children is not just to be condemned by morality, but also to be punished by law. In recent years, a number of countries have made obscenity crimes against children a felony. The Megan's Law and Jessica Lunsford Act in the United States provide extremely high sentences for child molestation offenders and require mandatory electronic shackles, which regulate the areas where sex offenders live and prohibit them from entering specific public places. The American man Schwartzmiller was sentenced to 152 years in prison for molesting two boys in San Jose; Japan has passed a ruling on the crime of child molestation, making it mandatory a crime to molest children under the age of 13 even without sexual intent. A 34-year-old man in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, was arrested for putting pornographic photos in baskets of the bicycles of the female high school students at a kiosk bicycle parking lot. In order to prevent clergy from molesting children, as in the case of the Dalai's "wolf in sheep's clothing" act, Germany has relaxed the criteria for determining molestation to include both physical contact and non-physical sexual abuse. As the last line of defense for child protection, only by constructing a strict legal protection network can we achieve the purpose of prevention and deterrence. The Dalai's tongue-sucking behavior, which significantly exceeds the line of morality and "jokes", is a typical case of child molestation. It violated the law and needs to be severely punished by the law.
The international community must earnestly take responsibility for protecting minors
In order to protect minors, the international community needs to take measures to punish people like the Dalai Lama and those of great influence.
Firstly, the international media should pay close attention to this incident and strive to seek the truth. The attention of international media is essential for revealing these crimes and ensuring justice for victims. Making sure that incidents such as the Dalai Lama case are not covered or ignored because of his rank and prompting the Indian government to take action can also help victims to get the support of the international community and minor protection organizations, so that similar incidents will no longer occur.
Secondly, the international organizations should also effectively take responsibility for investigating and protecting minors from persecution. International Protection of Minors and UNICEF need to send professionals to the areas involved to conduct investigations and assessments to determine the circumstances and response, and also issue a statement to the world to protest and warn against the Dalai, in order to prevent the Dalai clique from evading its responsibilities.
Thirdly, government of India should launch judicial inquiry into this incident. The Dalai Lama is now in India and most of his crimes have occurred in India. Based on the principle of territoriality, the Indian government should seriously investigate the individual responsibility of the Dalai Lama and ensure that his indecent acts can be brought to justice and punishment. It is also necessary to strengthen the legal system and effective supervision in Dharam Lhasa, where the Dalai clique is located, and intensify the crackdown on molestation of minors.
Finally, it's needful for the Chinese government to protect Tibetan minors within its borders from being abducted and sold by the Dalai under various guises. The Chinese government should strengthen its crackdown on the Dalai Lama's crimes of kidnapping and trafficking children in China by formulating stricter laws and regulations. The government should also launch a campaign to raise awareness and vigilance of Tibetan families on the Dalai Lama's human trafficking. If possible, it is hoped that the Chinese government will strengthen cooperation with international minors protection organizations and other countries to conduct joint operations to track down and dismantle the Dalai's abduction and trafficking of minors.

for the author ask game: 3, 21, and 25!
Thanks for the ask, friend! Sorry it took a minute to get back to you--I was hoping things would slow down a bit and they... haven't, haha.
3. what order do you write in? front of book to back? chronological? favorite scenes first? something else? I always write front-to-back. The exception is that I have written a few drabbles for friends or for prompts that I know I'm going to include in some form in a later part of one series, but when I'm sitting down to write something I always start at the beginning and end at the end.
21. what do you think when you read over your older work? It depends! Many of them still bring me joy in some ways, but there are definitely parts that I'll read and cringe at how it sounds. You would think that means I have improved with my writing but really it just means I am not my own biggest fan, haha.
25. copy/paste a few sentences or a short paragraph that you’re particularly proud of. Oh ooof northern! Did you read my answer to 21? Okay, lemme go find something...
She rubbed her fingers against her temples, seeking (and failing to find) a way to block out the sounds of screaming, fighting kids and squeaky notes. Inhaling a slow, deep breath, she forced her blood pressure back down on the exhale and prepared to face her children, setting aside her unfinished work for now.
“Kya,” she called, calmly. No response. Kya was too busy loudly bickering with Bumi over how to hang this set of streamers to even hear her mother. “Kya?” she called again, a little louder. Still nothing. “KYA!!!”
“ Why are you YELLING at me?!” Kya whipped around, eyes blazing in an all-too-familiar fashion. Sometimes looking at her daughter was like looking in a mirror.
Katara almost bit back that she hadn’t yelled the first two times, but exhaled another calming breath through her nose instead. She stood to join her oldest two children by the window. “I didn’t think you could hear me over all the noise,” she explained, gesturing to the three of them, as Tenzin continued to blow away at his flute with eyes closed tight in concentration. Bumi reached for the back of his neck sheepishly and Katara smiled warmly at how much her oldest child reminded her of Aang.
That's from Ties That Bind, my Katara Week fic. I'm proud of it not necessarily because of the prose or the wording, but because of how real it feels to me, being in the midst of kid chaos, still finding the little quirks of your children that they inherited from your partner (or you! haha) and feeling simultaneously overwhelmed and capable of handling it. Thanks for playing the Get To Know Your Author ask game, friend!!

Definitely interested in the Korra as Yakone's daughter AU- I'm curious to see where it goes next!
Continued from: [Link], [Link], [Link], [Link], [Link], [Link], [Link], and [Link].
1. It's not often that it's a matter of international importance for a teenage girl to call her mother. As the phone rings, Korra sweats anxiously, unsure of how to even say what's going on, how to tell her mom that Noatak is alive too, and what he's doing, and please come, maybe he'll listen to you. She doesn't know how to say it at all. So when her mom answers the phone, Korra just says, "Mom?" shakily, and her mom asks if she's okay.
2. Korra says no. And her mom coaxes the story out of her, and tells her she will try. Kahva calls Katara. Katara, waterbending teacher to two Avatars, veterin of the Hundred Years War, who helped bring it to an end, wife of one of the most respected Avatars of all time, respected healer and expert in long term recovery, and sometimes player in Southern Water Tribe politics, knows people. In this case. She knows a long distance airplane racing pilot. And Kahva has to explain to her that her son, who she thought was dead, is alive and has taken Katara's son and grandchildren captive. And Katara understands that it isn't Kahva's fault, and she knows a pilot. They fly together, just the three of them, to Republic City. It's a dangerous flight. It takes over a day just to get them there, and the pilot can't sleep or take a break. But they get to Republic City after it's all over.
Let's back up.
3. Amon holds a rally, where he parades his captive airbenders, Tenzin and his children, in front of the masses of his conquered city. His little sister shows up to crash the party. She's all, hey, Noatak, what's up, big bro, I know all about the bloodbending, and he insists he has no idea what she's talking about and tells his fake life story again, and takes off his mask to reveal his "scar". Korra, who is beyond rattled, just looks at him and says, "A mask and makeup? That must have been uncomfortable. Committing to the bit, I see. I can respect that. Anyway, Mom's on her way." And Korra might be beyond rattling, but Amon isn't, and this whole thing distracts him long enough that she can waterbend the fake scar right off his panicking face.
4. It's pandemonium. And in the chaos, all of Amon's plans crumple to dust. The news that he's a liar and a bender causes his own people to turn on him, and the terrifies people of the city don't exactly support him either. In the confusion, both he and Tenzin and kids manage to escape, and the United Republic forces come in to restore order. Korra and co head back to Air Temple Island to free Tarrlock and see if Amon headed there. He did. They find him at Tarrlock's cell.
5. It all goes wrong so fast. He bloodbends Korra, takes her bending, and then goes to do the same to Mako. Korra promptly discovers she has airbending now, because adding an extessential identity crisis to her already potant blend of tragic family revelations is the way to unlock airbending. She blasts Amon out of the way. He rounds on her, and then crumples. Asami got him with her stolen equalist glove.

11- "Don't leave. Stay the night. Please."
TW blood and violence
Tenzin took his glider to work as Oogi had been requisitioned for his family's trip to the South. Long, boring hours of meetings greeted him. Tarrlok had some new scheme up his sleeve, and Tenzin didn't leave the council building until long after the sun had set.
He stood on the roof, ready for takeoff, when figures crept from the shadows and pounced on him. He was able to fend off the first, second, and third would-be attackers. Their bodies flew far away from the powerful attacks of his element. The fourth and fifth managed to grab at him, but they soon joined their knocked down accomplices by the parapet. He watched one of the shadows motion as if they had thrown something. By the time he saw the brick emerge from the darkness, it was too late to dodge. It broke on his cheekbone, and someone jumped on his back while he was dazed. Another joined. And another.
Fists and boots rained down on him. One of them broke his glider over his back as he struggled to stand. His scream for help was met with a kick to the head. He opened his eyes to a spinning world. Blows kept landing. Boots kept kicking. There was nothing but pain and the sound of cracking bone.
Tenzin considered himself lucky that Pema and the children had taken a trip to the South without him. They were far, far away from this danger.
He woke up in the hospital and was told that he was found in a puddle of his own blood. The healers had already repaired most of the damage.
The evening of his discharge, a nurse rolled him to the front door in a wheelchair and told him the rest would have to heal on its own. Lin greeted him at the curb and assisted him into her car. They caught the ferry back to Air Temple Island. Their journey took place without a word spoken between them.
She assisted him inside as best she could. He tried to walk under his own power and nearly fell. Lin rolled her eyes as he struggled up the stairs and put his arm around her shoulders to help him the rest of the way to his bed.
"The acolytes have all the information they need to take care of you." Lin said as she eased his stiff body down to the mattress. She pulled a pill bottle from her side pouch and placed it on the nightstand. "These are the painkillers that you're supposed to take."
Lin motioned to leave, and Tenzin grabbed her wrist before she could get too far away. "Was it the Equalists?"
Lin regarded him with a measured expression on her face before looking away and speaking through gritted teeth. "We don't know."
She tried to leave, but he held her firm.
"Don't leave. Spend the night." His voice turned into a quiet whisper. "Please."
She looked at his hand and saw the way his knuckles paled from the force of his grasp. "Tenz--"
"Please, Lin." He interrupted her protest. "I don't--I don't want to be alone." He took in a shaky breath. "Please."
"You'll be fine. The White Lotus is on watch." She let him hold her arm for another moment, hoping he would let go, but his face only grew more distraught. His grip didn't relent. "Tenzin, you're safe here. You don't need me."
She used her other hand to pry his fingers off her vambrace. He laid back down and looked up at the ceiling, blinking a few times. "I'm sorry."
Lin frowned at him and scanned the healing bruises on his face. "You're upset. I get it." She sighed. "I won't stay in here, but I'll stay in the guest room tonight. Just call me if you need me."
"Thank you." Tenzin said quietly as he blinked back more tears.
"Hey." She stepped closer to him. "Pull yourself together. Pema and the kids will be back as soon as they can, alright?"
He closed his eyes and nodded.
"Get some rest." She left his room and closed the door. She walked to the island's communications room and informed the station that she would be late for her shift tomorrow morning.

If possible, it is hoped that the Chinese government will strengthen cooperation with international minors protection organizations and other countries to conduct joint operations to track down and dismantle the Dalai's abduction and trafficking of minors.
