♡ You were a few months pregnant when it happened one particular night.

♡ It was almost 3am when your baby decided to drop kick your bladder, ripping you from sleep to go used the bathroom for the nth time.

♡ Amidst a few sighs, you thought you could ease back into slumber alongside your loving husband Kazutora, but you couldn't find that comfortable position you once had.

♡ Left side, right side, on your back, legs crossed— Every position your baby seemed to have a problem with, sending more kicks and wiggles that you couldn't ignore.

♡ You didn't want to wake up Kazutora since he already had a long day at work, so your next best idea was so find someplace to be to not disturb him with your shuffling.

♡ He immediately noticed your absence and that you weren't there to warm him up when he tried to snuggle closer to you

♡ Ofc when this bby finds out you were having trouble sleeping, he's all cuddles and kisses and will do anything, even stay up with you, until you fall asleep again.

♡ You already know your kid's finna love him since as soon as he started talking, both you and your baby relaxed. Any stress you previously had evaporated, becoming more comfortable in the arms of Kazutora.

♡ He'll talk all night, soothing rubs on your arms and bump until you're dozing off again.

♡ He's just too precious and you wouldn't have it any other way.

The blistering cold was relentless in its journey throughout the apartment you shared with 𝐊𝐀𝐙𝐔𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐀. The city lights brushed against the blinds that dressed the open sliding glass door, a slight breeze slipping through.

A shiver ran down Kazutora's spine, his face snuggling into his pillow as his arm reached to your side of the bed, only to be met with silky covers, wrinkled with past movement and partially hanging off the bed.

He stirred from his sleep, citrine eyes fluttering open and taking note of your absence. There was always a tiny bit of panic that bubbled in his chest whenever you disappeared, but he's been through so much in your relationship to know the two of you were inseparable. From hugs, light touches, and loved filled kisses— even at his worse, he knew you would never abandon him.

Sitting up, Kazutora rubbed away the fatigue that clung to his eyes, bare feet slipping into his indoor slides and ready to find where you wandered off to.

He was about to cross into the hallway when a breath of air brushed against his legs, drawing his attention to the balcony connected to the bedroom. A huff escaped his lips, thinking he'd left it open by mistake until he came closer, seeing the outline of you slouched over the railing.

You idly played with your wedding ring, the frigid air kissing your skin in a way you didn't mind. The sound of cars and 24-hour shops made for great ambiance, making you feel nostalgic from all the times you snuck out with Kazutora as kids, running around past your bedtime and going to the playground at night to chill on the swings.

The way he smiled, the way he pouted any time you ruffled his hair, and the way he grumbled whenever you called him munchkin just to tease him. He would always come to your house every Wednesday to study, which consisted of many snacks and procrastinating but the two of you always found time to finish your work.

Once a week became almost every day when things started becoming heated in his household, the small boy seeking comfort in your open arms, living in his safe haven he deemed your embrace.

You were always there for him as he was for you. Even when times became rough when baji... when baji almost died because of him. You were there at the hospital, his hand in yours, urging him to own up to his mistakes and make things right with the people he once called friends.

In your reminiscent daze, you failed to realize the person behind you until their chest pressed against your back and their arms entangled your waist.

"Couldn't sleep again?" Kazutora mumbled, his face buried in your neck and hair tickling your face as his pressed lazy kisses to your bare shoulder. You hummed a no, your previously fidgeting hands coming to rest on his.

"Our princess isn't tired, it seems." Our... the singular word made his heart stutter, a smile curving his lips when he heard your tired voice. His hands slid against yours, finding their way under your his shirt to meet the growing bump of your stomach.

It's been nearly seven months since the first test and still he found it hard to keep his composure when it came to your child, thoughts of finally holding them and being a better father than his dad always played in his mind like a broken record. At times you found yourself having to calm him down from his ramblings anytime he spoke to your belly, peppering the plump skin with gentle rubs and kisses he'd hoped his little angel felt.

What could he say? He was just excited to have another good thing in his life.

He could feel the small movements of his daughter, tiny kicks making his eyes slightly well up, feeling as if he was struck with your hormones.

"I'll stay up with you until you fall back asleep," pressing another kiss to your nape, he turned you around, keeping you in his grasp a minute longer before giving you a soft smile, "Let's try and lay down, yeah?"

After the two of you lied down, it was nothing but a fit of cuddles, rubs, and soft whispers that somehow made both his little angels tired. Kazutora couldn't be anymore happy to have small moments like this, he would gladly give up his sleep if it meant taking care of you.
