"The russian occupier is the best fertilizer" - poster with this text, posted in the National Library of Latvia, made a lot of noise on social networks today, the Rus.LSM program “Tonight” reported.

Deputy of the Riga City Council Konstantin Chekushin from the "Soglasiye" party said that he had addressed the head of the State Police Armands Ruks and the Minister of Culture Nauris Puntulis with a request to assess the contents of the poster - whether there is any incitement of ethnic hatred.

As Rus.LSM found out, this poster is part of the exhibition of the group of Ukrainian artists' TIGOIS project called “Mês uzvarěsim! Переможемо!" (“We will win!”) The exhibition runs at the National Library from 6 to 22 June.

"This work should not be taken as some kind of harbinger or something related to our society - this is the artist's original work about what is happening in Ukraine", - explained the representative of the National Library Agita Machuka.

The National Library also says that they will not interfere with the content of the exhibition. Because art is inherent in the freedom of message and form. Next to a specific exhibit, the name of its author and his idea will be indicated.

СМИ таки выяснили откуда картонка. Портал Jauns.lv связался с ЛНБ и выяснил, что данный плакат является частью выставки группы украинских художников TIGOIS project "Mēs uzvarēsim! Переможемо!".

А, ну это другое дело. Это же искусство. В УК же написано, что если искусство, то можно что угодно. Тем более тут и контекст. А то что ко всем русским можно отнести. Ну, значит сами виноваты.
