Hidari & Misaki
Her existence was… confusing to say the least. Unlike the other Shinju clones who were ‘planned’ and had their own goals her presence was unneeded. Jura ignored her saying she could do what she liked whilst leading the rest of them away, as if he didn’t trust her.
It hadn’t been a week since she was created but it wasn’t difficult to read the room and everyone around her had found her a nuisance.
Well, almost everyone.
“So, this is where your hiding?” Hidari had been the only one making an effort to befriend her, including her in their plans. However, part of that reason may be due to the fact that the ones they were cloned of were husband and wife.
Perhaps it connected them, even now.
“Hiding? What makes you think I’m hiding?” She had remained outside of their hideout, watching the sunset. It brought her a sense of peace that she couldn’t understand why.
She had no idea who she was if they couldn’t accept her, and she had no where else to go. What else was there? “He told me I could do what I like, I figured it would be better to stay out of the way.” Hidari had taken a spot next to her, not even bothering to ask or see if she wanted to be left alone.
Then again, he wasn’t much of talker.
“Can I ask you something?” He gave a small hum of approval.
“What are we?” Almost the exact same question he asked.
“I don’t know,” an honest answer. “Jura mentioned that who our target is will lead to the formation of our identity. I’m not sure if I believe him though.”
“I see.” He blamed himself, Hidari had acted without thinking. With all these emotions that he shouldn’t have. He had successfully brought back the real Sakura to their hideout explaining that it be beneficial for him and his target.
Although they had reluctantly agreed. Jura had made it perfectly clear that she was not one of them, that he had to keep an eye on her. Who knows if she could be trusted? As such she was Hidari’s responsibility.
But that was want he wanted, right?
To have his own family to understand Sasuke. What he didn’t think of though was her own thoughts and feelings. She wasn’t Sakura and he wasn’t Sasuke.
“My target is Uchiha Sarada, Uchiha Sasuke’s daughter and-”
“Uchiha Sakura…”
“Exactly,” he then stood up holding his hand out to her.
“Can I count on your help?” She didn’t think twice before accepting, taking his hand as he helped her up.
“Yes, it’s not like I have much else.”
“Thank you… Misaki.”
Thank you. A sudden wave memories appeared both a painful and pleasant one. She shook her head disregarding them.
“Wait, Misaki?”
“Jura hasn’t given you a name yet, he told me I could pick it since…”
Since you’re the one who brought her here.
“Since I’m the one who tolerates you.”
How kind. She snorted.
“Why Misaki?”
“It means beautiful bloom, like a flower. Sakura means cherry blossom, seems logical.” If she didn’t know any better, it almost felt like her face was turning red. He had it all figured out didn’t he, yet he acted as though it was nothing.
“Unless you prefer something else?”
“No! I mean it’ll grow on me.”
Misaki.
Perhaps this was her first step to finding her own identity. Especially if it came from him and maybe finding Uchiha Sarada will be the next.
