not so much an ask as wanting to drop by and say you are lowkey such an inspiration to me -- as someone who is trudging through college i think it's really easy to fall into a pit of "oh my god i have to sacrifice all of my hobbies and interests for a career" and seeing you still creating while being a student is just like. so motivating

Aw, I'm so glad to hear it! Honestly, writing is something that feels like it's actively helping me through the tough parts of my education. Having a creative outlet that has nothing to do with my future career is a nice way to expand my general enjoyment of life, haha, as well as decompress. There have definitely been (and will be in the future) specific periods of time when I'm too busy or tired with stuff to write much, but medical school has never felt like something I had to actively sacrifice having a life for in the permanent or long-term.

So I'm glad I can be an example that it's possible! I definitely get that fear, especially with how medical school was presented to me at the start as something that's meant to utterly take over your whole life, and it was a huge relief to realize that it really doesn't have to be a career or a life.
