A couple of tiny 1880's era remnant terrace houses/hovels that were somehow missed during the extensive slum clearances of the late 1940's-early 1950's. Now 'studio apartments'. Small public park at rear is where the rest of them once were. Glebe.

In the time before council approvals, external stairs were added to the terrace on the right to make two dwellings where there was once one.
This place catches my eye all time, it’s near my house on Bourke Street in Sydney’s Surry Hills.
There’s talk of rules being loosened to allow this kind of treatment again to ease the housing crisis. 😑
Please excuse the pink blush from the No walking or cycling light.

Benefits of Hiring Full-Service Commercial Construction Company
Any business owner will understand that there are considerably more steps involved in building or renovating a commercial building than in residential construction projects. Working with full-service commercial construction companies Sydney has several advantages, including cost savings. Today here in this post, we will outline the definition of full-service construction companies and their benefits.
Full-Service Commercial Construction Service Company:
A full-service commercial construction companies Sydneycan manage a project from start to finish. They do things like planning, scheduling, phasing, budgeting, securing subcontractors, risk management, bid packaging, and overseeing day-to-day operations during construction. They also offer pre-construction services such as cash flow analysis, cost estimating, subcontractor selection, land acquisition assistance etc. Once the building is constructed, they play their role in space planning, interior design, compliance, finishes, equipment installation, etc. Further in this post, we will discuss the benefits of hiring a full-service commercial construction company for Sydney terrace house renovations.
Efficacy And Time Saving: One of the most significant advantages of the comprehensive approach of a professional company is that everyone works as a team and is focused on the larger picture, not their jobs. When the architect has a pleasing relationship with the furnishings team and project manager, the potential problems get caught in the early stages and can be addressed timely. A project owner's time is valuable, and there are many moving parts in a construction project. Relying on a terrace renovation architect Sydney eliminates the inefficiencies of dealing with multiple companies.
Better Communication: Having every team's eyes on a project fosters better communication and approach to construction with less chance of negligence. Plus, beet alignment among team members allows streamlined communication and alignment with the project owner. That is because the project owner can get answers practically in real-time.
Accountability: All working parties are part of one team. While on the other hand, the whole project is managed by a single manager. They can keep a title rein on the project's progress. There is also less chance of conflicts when teams gel together to achieve a common goal. If there is an issue, the construction company will handle everything during Sydney terrace house renovations project on its own.

Picrews I made of my OCs from The Buddy Saga! I did it in Picrew because I feel like my art style wouldn't do them justice. I made them with the Little Guy Maker
Cassiopeia "Cassie" Cosmos
Tumblr media
Age: 20 (in Bortronian years she would be 126)
She's from Bortron 7 obviously, and like all Bortronians, she's super cheerful, optimistic, and loves to sing and dance. She visited Earth at the suggestion of her parents, and she ended up landing in Bergs' yard. Now she sleeps in his attic and pretends to be his long-lost niece. She joins the Big BUDDY Program and becomes Jet's mentor. They click instantly, though neither knows the other is Bortronian....yet.
Rosa Rodriguez
Tumblr media
Age: 20
A Salvadoran-American college student. Unlike the others, she has lived in Washington for her whole life, but she only recently moved to Boxwood Terrace to get closer to her school. She's pragmatic and a bit stoic, which contrasts well with Cassie's idealism and energy. Despite their differences, she quickly becomes BFFs with Cassie, though she's unaware that she's an alien. She has a genuine interest in astronomy, especially the dwarf planets, but she claims she's just doing the BUDDY program for extra credit. She becomes Mindy's mentor. She speaks Spanish sometimes.
Anthony Russo
Tumblr media
Age: 21
Originally from New York, Anthony is a washed up former child star. His career began and ended with the 2010 Commander Cressida live-action movie. He got bullied by CC "fans" on social media and he quit acting since then. Now he's looking to make a comeback, so he tried to move closer to Hollywood. He's quite a showoff and thinks everything is about him, and he has a sarcastic tongue. He gets recruited to join the BUDDY program after Dr. Skelley recognizes him from the movie, and he gets paired with Sydney. He knows some Italian.
Alexander Rillieux
Tumblr media
Age: 24
Originally from Louisiana, Alex moved to Washington to start a space-related podcast, which is mildly popular. He's charismatic, skilled at negotiating, a snappy dresser, a perfectionist, and has decent singing and dancing talent. He had no interest in joining the BUDDY program at first, but after becoming enamored with Cassie at first sight, he joined it just to get closer to her. He doesn't really care about the others and is a bit standoffish with his mentee, Sean, at first. He can speak French.

Another Thursday, another old scan. And this one dates all the way back to April 1988. I had just arrived in London for university. My programme was initially painting and later graphic design, but I always carried a camera around for inspiration. This photo was snapped in my newly rented flat in South Kensington. A prime location, just blocks from the Gloucester Road station, but the place was a bit of a shambles. An old Victorian mansion block divided into a dozen one room flats. The shared bathroom (one of those creepy cast iron clawfoot tubs) was on the floor above me, and the toilet downstairs. In the hallway just outside my flat was a coin telephone. The Australians in the building would phone home in the middle of the night due to the time zone difference. Of course I listened to their conversations ... how could you not? I can still hear that Aussie twang ("...but mum, I just need enough money for a flight to Barcelona. I’ll get a gig teaching English and pay you when I’m back in Sydney... That London pub job? It ... erm ... didn’t work out"). I loved that place. The landlady, Mrs. Fortunato, was an intimidating figure. She lived in another building round the corner where I had to drop off rent every Sunday (£60 a week). Each time she’d accuse me of feeding the pigeons on the front terrace. “We do not feed the vermin, do you understand?!”  Anyway, I’ll post more photos and stories about that flat some other time. That's me in the mirror. The Argus Seventy-Five was a gift from my dad. It used 620 film (and I think there was a way to convert it to 120). I don’t remember what the other camera was, except that it had a light leak that created interesting effects.
