Experienced the most terrifying drive up through the Scottish highlands. Combination tiny winding roads, speeding locals in vans and trucks, and being driven by my American friend who I can only describe as an LA driver (derogatory). I was navigating / enforcing the speed limit since the rental car had an unreadable UI for the driver. My whole body feels stiff from tensing the whole way.
I am so happy to be getting the train back in a few days.
I had sole responsibility for two neurodivergent kids under the age of five for two hours this morning, to help my friends out. I feel like I've been harrowed and threshed. I want to lie down on the ground and sleep forever. Just more in the column for never having kids.
Speaking of boobs, my hotel room has a bunch of beautiful vintage mirrors and I took what I believe to be the best photo of my tits ever. I'm not going to post it publicly but. Well. Slide into my dms if you want to see it.
@st-just your beloved provincial backwater is in good company when it comes to firing a cannon daily, apparently
Now the biggest blockbuster revelation in this image, which eagle-eyed viewers may spot, is that Sydney also has one!!!!! I had to look this up because I've never heard of it - some old fort on an island in the harbour has a 1pm gun. I am champing at the bit to go see this as soon as I'm home.
