My sister was playing BotW and said, and I quote, “Maybe Link doesn’t talk because if he did he’d start crying.” and I think that was very unnecessary of her.

okay so this is going to be very long and someone's probably pointed these things out and made the same conclusion. but. genloss theory
SO. in episode three when Ranboo's in the office space looking for the usb and code. Hetch states that the drones are "doing what the company associates as busywork" but they're just kinda staring at screensavers. That always struck me as odd.
What if Showfall is run by an ai. maybe that's why that line is like that. the ai saw a bunch of office workers, etc. and then made that approximation of an office.
This could also go with the "everyone's saying/doing things without their consent" what if the mind control is a metaphor for ai voices, where they take various celebrities, whatever's voices, and add them to an ai to have that ai recreate the celebrity's voice saying whatever the user wants. i dont know how that works exactly but. you get the point.
and with the ability to make it sound that any celebrity is saying anything, even if the celebrity could get cancelled for saying that or they would never actually say that, that can be seen in what the genloss cast say and do. Ranboo in real life would (probably) never commit malpractice, let alone on his friends, but he still does in episode two.
adding on to the "hetch is a good guy theory" the line "they must have increased security since last time" when he realized that there were four codes, again in the office scene, that might be the ai learning and evolving.
Squiggles could also be an ai of the average twitch chat.

Ok, so Impactor/Arcee, an idea Van gave me. There is so much that could be done here because they're both like warriors who think they have no place outside of battle and the best thing they can do is people's dirty work. They don't display care is ways that are socially expected or easily understood. They're not great at communicating emotion.
And you know how Arcee keeps trying to connect with people she feels she has an understanding with only to get cut short? Well, Impactor wouldn't do that to her because Impactor has no reason to. They would click and Impactor wouldn't feel any need to distance himself from Arcee because he already has a negative self value, even if he thinks that Arcee is a monster he also thinks he himself is a monster to whatever. And despite everything Impactor does allow himself a sense of camaderie with fellow Wreckers, so yeah, they would Connect. This would make Arcee very happy, not that she would call them friends, but they get each other, you see.
The thing were it gets good, is that Arcee is not only trying to change by nothing but her own will, she's actually succeding. She's trying to create a better world and changing her tactics for it, even if she still relies in her battle skills, even if said world has no place for her. And this is was would thick Impactor off. Impactor has a very bleak view of the world, and most of all himself. He thinks he's fundamentally incapable of changing. Looking at Arcee doing just that would make him think that they aren't alike after all. Or worse, it may make him confront the fact that if Arcee can change maybe he can too, which is not allowed because despite how absolutely miserable Impactor is, there is something comfortable in this hopelessness.
So either, Impactor drags Arcee down him with, or (if he actually cares for her) distances himself from her. Arcee is better off without him, she's not like him and she can't be who she wants to be if she clings to Impacto.r. Impactor is just funfamentally bad. Not that he would tell her is for her own good or anything. This would be yet another rejection for Arcee, but what's juicy about it is that it would be for the exact opposite as usual. Impactor wouldn't distance himself because she thinks Arcee is a crazy murderer, but because she think she's just way better than him. He recognizes Arcee for the complex person she is with a lot of potential for good and goes "nope". Also, not that Impactor would consider how much this would affect Arcee because he doesn't think he has any value as a recipient of affection. This is not at all helped by Arcee's struggles to verbalize her emotions.

Pokémon religion
I feel like unown are not talked about enough in pokemon like
They aren’t just “haha funny Pokémon letter!! Letter alive!!” I mean they are but
maybe it’s just me being up too late but like I think they’re angels???
and if so that’s one of the *coolest angel concepts of all time*
They are PURELY divine messengers, they arent even like. Human or animal or anything shaped speaking to people to get a message across. No. They are *literally just letters* maybe I lack Pokémon knowledge but I’m pretty sure they only appear in like ancient temples and stuff, usually relating to arceus or other “godly” pokemon so are they like their way of communicating??? THATS SO AWESOME WHAT
**SPEAKING OF “GODLY” POKEMON**
I highly doubt that these *actual gods* would be captured by 8 year olds. This is hopefully less of a big ramble but I think a lot of the “godly” legendary Pokémon (arceus, maybe celebi, idk I don’t know Pokémon lore very well!!) are also more of an unseen force and their Pokémon form is just easier to comprehend for mortals
so they can communicate through this Pokémon vessel but its actual mechanics are the same as your average ratatta. Attack and have stats and abilities and stuff and sometimes shiny oooo.
Once they’re done giving their message they offer you a rare chance to use one of their powerful vessels because you did good congrats or you found their pokevessel and just stole it and then they threw it away because well can’t use that one anymore it got caught by some kid.
I think that would explain why these actual gods never speak to the player during battle or have other mystical effects after they’re captured. Just a powerful dog.
that would make the Pokédex entries where it says arceus used like a thousand legs to make the world make a lot more sense. Cause yeah maybe actual god arceus has a thousand legs. Maybe a billion. Its cool dog vessel only needs like 4 to walk so that’s good enough for arceus.
also I REFUSE to even try to unpack whatever happened in Pokémon legends arches with the tribes and stuff I remember like none of it but it was all really insane??
other legendaries are just rare dogs though idk what their deal is

Learned about a new frog yesterday. Some of you know of my love for frogs. Instagram knows this too, and likes to throw random frog pics at me. Anyway...
If Four was a frog, he'd be a Black Rain Frog

im making showfall ocs that are like, the other higher ups just beneath hetch. they also arent mind controlled and are fully aware of what they're doing. tho they don't have as much loyalty to the founder and care more about showfall itself.
im also having some fun with my hcs about how showfall typically runs and how TSE was very ooc for what showfall typically produces.

For the ask bit, if the war had ended in IDW in such a way that Optimus could well and truly retire from the Action Hero Super Prime job he's been doing, who would he want to spend time with just casually? And what would he want to do with his life?
Canon provides a pretty good answer for this already: I see Orion leaving Cybertron and going out to be a do-gooder exploring the galaxy on his own, mostly to help organic beings out. OP's compassion towards organics and his feeling of being responsible for their suffering during the war would propel him to continue helping them out however he can. In the most optimal scenario possible, I think the best thing for Orion as a person would be to stay off of Cybertron (so he doesn't get sucked up into politics) but still be involved in his passions-- which are of course 1. being a hero and 2. being a jock.
I can honestly see Orion being completely alone on this journey and being content with it; OP is lonely and depressed, but IMO that's more due to the stress of the war and leadership rather than because he's lacking in social contact. (OP has never really come off as the sociable type; he's charismatic and a good leader, but he's actually quite reserved and solitary.) However, any of his traveling companions would definitely have to be mechs who aren't dazzled by his Primely image. My poor knowledge of the Transformers cast is biting me really badly here, lmao. Maybe a select few Autobots, maybe even some neutrals or other random Cybertronians he finds on his journey? But mostly I imagine Orion going on his journey alone. After all, he's pretty much the only person out of the cast (besides maybe Soundwave later in exRID/OP) that regards organics as 100% equals to Cybertronians, and given how common organic racism towards mechanicals is, I can't imagine many people having the desire or patience to save people who hate Cybertronians. Maybe Arcee would be a good companion for OP? She harbors guilt over the organic conquest she participated in, and she's also a solitary/stoic warrior like OP, so they would have common goals and a common ability to not probe deeply into the other's emotional issues.
