Hey, can we talk about the fact that one of kdj's biggest traumas is indisputably the way the publishing of his mother's book affected his life. He felt powerless and on display, and it severely hurt his ability to connect with other people.

But honestly, if I saw that book at a bookstore, I would have picked it up and read it and thought wow im so glad she was able to tell her story. I would have fallen into the trap lsk sets, and never thought deeper about how it happened. And this book was said to be really inspiring and the way the other prison women stands up for lsk you can see they sympathize with her story and maybe there were plenty of women who felt seen and heard from that story.

Its popularity meant a decent amount of money was made off of it that went straight to kdj's cousins pocket. Everyone profited from this novel in some way, everyone but kdj. (That's why he's the fool that has never dreamed of his own happiness, he can't picture it, it's always been everyone except him.)

So tell me why, kimcom + everyone writing orv and collecting the pieces they knew of him and spreading them out, not to one universe like his mother, but the eternal ever-multiplying universes and that is what saves him.

The exact same action, both born out of love and despair. One ruined him, and the other brought him home.

this comment is everything. the lee sookyung and kim dokja's parallels keep paralleling. she didn't realise he didn't want to be saved he wanted her to be there. kim dokja never truly realised lee gilyoung, shin yoosung, and the rest of KDJC only wanted him to there there. the only way they know how to show their love is through self sacrifice and every time they do their children resent them for it. im gonna blow them up with my mind

yoo joonghyuk wears all black because he is the text. he is the embodiment of the [story] "ways of survival". the [story] flows through him, because he IS the story. wos is the [story] of yoo joonghyuk, like omniscient reader's viewpoint is the [story] of kim dokja.

kim dokja wears white for the same reason han sooyoung 1963 and secretive plotter wear white, because they are outside of the story. the yoo joonghyuk in the alternate 1863 turn that died wore white because he wanted his [story] to end, and yoo joonghyuk that wore the black coat wanted the [story] to continue, to continue having text.

and he had the white astronaut outfit when he stopped being part of the [story] kim dokja wanted, he briefly became part of the white pages to give kim dokja's [story] a turn.

and the demon king of salvation has black wings because while he as a child could hide in the white pages, his soul beckons [stories] to him, he died and gained a story of love where people wanted to see him, and he gained the black wings to show that he has text, someone gave him text and words out of love for him. lee sookyung tried to love him but she couldnt give him real text, only a false [story] that in its salvation was truly agonizing. only in giving him black text, a true [story], could he escape and die. and find a new meaning and a new [story] among other discarded [stories].

that part where kim dokja realizes he only knew the lee sookyung that was his mother, he doesn't know what kind of person she is outside of that role and what kind of person she was to the wanderers and the other party members.... she's so much more than just his mother but he doesn't know anything else about her at all

And hsy comes in and says that he doesn't always know everything and that he's not a god aaugghhh........

orv you are so special to me!!!!!!!!!! the major whiplash i got from this... it's so obvious but i never thought about it seriously. You only know them as the person they present to you as, it's not possible to know everything of a single person
