If you're going to be in Sebastopol, CA, this weekend you can find me at the North Bay Letter Press Arts Studio on Saturday April 22 from 4-6:30pm talking about comics and printing! Here’s the webpage about the event and link to register. (It’s free but they take voluntary donations).
I worked at this studio from 2011-2013 between undergrad and grad school while I was trying to figure out what I was doing as an artist in the world and made some work I'm still proud of. My most ambitious piece was this alphabet book, with each page printed at a different length and in a different font.
And if you are local to Sonoma County and looking for letterpress classes, I can't recommend NBLA more highly! They regularly offer one-of or short runs of classes and workshops.

we might not know where misha is, but we know where he isn’t and that does narrow it down. logic says he’s in california with his children. where in california is another matter, especially if he’s not currently in la with his usual la friend group. maybe he’ll post something, but he might not.
he does seem like a nice guy, tho 🤷‍♀️ lmao
LMAO I know who this nonnie is. Just because you laughed at that line. HI.
That said. Yeah. He wasn't in LA at the party, which he'd have easily attended with their massive mutual friendgroups if he was anywhere near Ojai or Ventura County.
He also has not been seen in Whatcom County.
We also can not explain Jenneel being in Sonoma during the holidays. If it was a non-holiday, sure. Go live your high life, tour whatever vineyards you want. But now is when they fly to friends and family. Always have, always will. So if it's not where their families are, and all work is closed down for several weeks, then logic dictates, there's some sort of friends reasonably nearby.
That doesn't mean the friend is *in* Sonoma. Nobody with the liquid cash to travel freely just flies in and crashes at one place and fucks off. You fly in, you do tourism things in a local geographic area of reasonable drivetimes, etc, before the actual scheduled meetup. Which, if we observe How Normal People Work above What Tumblr Wants To Argue, realistically is a one day event. But if you're out there, you explore in the meantime.
It's really not that complicated dude. If they're mad to discover Misha has a long term residence in a respective stone's throw of the place, that's their issue.
Is it spec, technically, to assume they're related? I mean, yeah. But guys. Come on. Stop hallucinating for the sake of argument. Do basic math here.

So the Ackles (D + the kids are there) are in wine county for Christmas, I’m sure the kids are psyched 🙄 I would say I can’t believe they brought the kids on what should be an adult vacation, but I’m actually not shocked at all. They put a playground in their brewery and have been bringing JJ to adult events (music festivals, Mardi Gras parties) for years.
Jensen looks awful in those pictures, especially the second one. Like a walking zombie with a hangover, which is probably the case considering he was in Nashville for the extended weekend and Monday night certainly wasn’t the only night he was hitting the booze hard. And now he’s dedicating his Christmas to more alcohol, because that’s the only way he and Danneel can get along.
Yes, at this point it's abundantly clear he cannot stand the sight of her and needs to be beyond sh**faced to be around her.

Sonoma, CA (No. 1)
Sonoma is a city in Sonoma County, California, located in the North Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area. Sonoma is one of the principal cities of California's Wine Country and the center of the Sonoma Valley AVA. Sonoma's population was 10,739 as of the 2020 census, while the Sonoma urban area had a population of 32,678. Sonoma is a popular tourist destination, owing to its Californian wineries, noted events like the Sonoma International Film Festival, and its historic center.
Sonoma's origins date to 1823, when José Altimira established Mission San Francisco Solano, under the direction of Governor Luis Antonio Argüello. Following the Mexican secularization of the missions, famed Californio statesman Mariano G. Vallejo founded Sonoma on the former mission's lands in 1835. Sonoma served as the base of General Vallejo's operations until the Bear Flag Revolt in 1846, when American filibusters overthrew the local Mexican government and declared the California Republic, ushering in the American Conquest of California.

Vacation
Lisa was the queen of vacations. She loved to travel and she especially loved going to places in the sunshine. When we traveled to a sunny location for vacation we could pretty much predict what the schedule would look like. Every morning we would wake up and either go for a run or take a walk - usually to a Starbucks if there was one within 3 miles. Then we would go down by the pool for a few hours and soak in the sun with an occasional dip in the water. That would be followed by getting ready and going out into whatever town we happen to be in or nearby and finding a good place to eat. Then we would often walk around that town and take in the sights, maybe find a place to dance or have a drink. Occasionally this pattern would be broken up if there was something unique and fun to do during the day, as long as she could be in the sun or barter for more sun time on another day.
Last week the kids, their spouses, and I took our first vacation together without Lisa. Still our daily schedule was very similar - almost as though without saying anything to one another we didn’t want to betray her memory by straying from the way she loved to vacation. I woke up in the mornings and took a walk, we all got ready and spent time down by the pool taking an occasional dip in the water, and then at night we went into the nearby towns and found nice restaurants and walked around the town visiting the little shops. We went to a couple of beautiful wineries there in the wine country of Sonoma county, and we spent a day in San Francisco walking for miles for most of our time there. Lisa would’ve loved this vacation. It was a really good time together and it was good for our souls. We talked about Lisa a lot. But it was so hard and different without her. The dynamics are not the same and of course we all feel that. Still, it was good.
As we all left on that last day, the kids and their spouses all went their separate ways, and I got in my car to drive home. The reality of yet another previously shared experience that would never be shared again hit me. It is these best events and experiences that are also the hardest. But these experiences are still good and important and healing. Sharing these joys and memories and tears and laughter add new pages to an otherwise unwritten next chapter, even though we still feel the stinging loss of the missing central character in our story. She would have loved this vacation, and we honored her memory in our sun-soaked week together.

Bourbon & Belonging: Kentucky's Queer Bourbon Week set for October 2024
Tumblr media
Queer Kentucky, a LGBTQ+ non-profit working to bolster and enhance Queer culture, health and wellness, is proud to introduce Bourbon & Belonging: Kentucky’s Queer Bourbon Week, a state-wide LGBTQ+ inclusive event, set to take place October 2-6, 2024.
Bourbon & Belonging is launching with the support of eight Kentucky-based Destination Marketing Organizations, which have joined together to showcase the state’s rich Bourbon and hospitality cultures to LGBTQ+ visitors. The inaugural Bourbon & Belonging will feature events in these official sponsor destinations: Bardstown, Bullitt County, Frankfort, Lexington, Louisville, Northern Kentucky, Paducah, and Winchester.
"As an organization dedicated to LGBTQ+ advocacy, we couldn't be more excited to be launching Bourbon & Belonging, the nation’s inaugural Queer Bourbon Week,” said Missy Spears, Executive Director, Queer Kentucky. “It underscores the necessity of creating spaces of acceptance and celebration in regions where it's most needed."
“Bourbon & Belonging will showcase Louisville’s immense diversity, Bourbon culture, and the southern hospitality that brings it all together,” said Cleo Battle, President & CEO of Louisville Tourism. “As the Commonwealth’s largest city, we want to lead the way in championing Kentucky's dedication to inclusion. Participating in events like Bourbon & Belonging reinforces that we are a welcoming and inclusive destination.”

This event features a growing superstar lineup of Bourbon partners that represent the state of Kentucky: Angel’s Envy, Bardstown Bourbon Company, Barrel House Distilling Co., Bourbon Capital Alliance, Bulleit Bourbon, Evan Williams, James B. Beam Distilling Company, James E. Pepper, Lawrenceburg Bourbon Company, Lux Row Distillers, Maker’s Mark, New Riff Distilling, Old Forester, Ponyboy Slings, Second Sight and Wenzel Whiskey.
“It's more than just bourbon,” said Mary Quinn Ramer, President of VisitLEX. “It's about carving out a space where everyone feels at home. This week will emphasize the genuine hospitality, charm and warmth that Kentucky has to offer to everyone.”
A variety of host hotels have also committed to partnering with the event, including 21c Museum Hotels, Common Bond Hotel Collection and Hotel Covington.
This week-long event was inspired by “Gay Wine Weekend” in Sonoma and “QueerBeer Fest'' in Washington DC. Participants will be offered a range of activities, tastings, and gatherings designed to foster safety, belonging, and togetherness while raising vital funds for Queer Kentucky and other Kentucky-based LGBTQ+ community service organizations.
“Bourbon & Belonging bridges our state's rich traditions with its vibrant future, emphasizing the unity and diversity that make Kentucky special,” said Julie Kirkpatrick, President and CEO of Meet Northern Kentucky.
If you’re interested in attending or learning more about Bourbon & Belonging, visit www.bourbonandbelonging.com and sign up to receive email communications to be the first to know about ticket releases and upcoming events. A schedule of events will be announced this summer.

Well Everyone March is Finally here
And you know what that means
Today is the 1st Day of Women's History Month
Women's History Month is an annual declared month that highlights the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society. It is celebrated during March in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, corresponding with International Women's Day on March 8, and during October in Canada, corresponding with the celebration of Persons Day on October 18.
The commemoration began in 1978 as "Women's History day" in Sonoma County, California, and was championed by Gerda Lerner and the National Women's History Alliance to be recognized as a national week (1980) and then month (1987) in the United States, spreading internationally after that.
Celebrate The Women, Who Have Empowered Us Men and The World Over for Centuries to come and Beyond.
