#Sofia of Enchancia

Growing up is realising that Sofia was just an 8 year old girl who had too many responsibilities and was pressured by adults to save her new family and a kingdom and realm she now has to take care of and protect and people have high expectations of her, and that she was never given any real time to grieve her missing (most likely dead) father who only passed away like a year before her mother's remarriage and she is a child with trauma and doesn't want to bother people with it or tell anyone her secrets because they might put her in danger. She is a prodigy in just about everything she tries and isn't used to the idea of failling or not getting the hang of things quickly.
Sofia is also constantly betting her own life or being forced to negotiate the lives of her family since she was 8. She was betrayed by 4 adults, 3 of which were her teachers and and 3 of them are redeemed. She watched two people be murdered and a man waste his life away. Her brother being distressed and angry because he wasted his childhood preparing for a position he was never going to get because their grandmother and aunt lied. She watched the reason the twins were born and the queen was killed. Has been trapped in the middle of no where multiple times. Her sister stole her amulet. She saved the world multiple times. And her friends were toxic to her for being better than them at a game and trying to help a girl out. Was tricked by Cedric into cursing the entire kingdom to sleep. Is very protective and suspicious to anyone who even looks at the Amulet. Was given a position that constantly puts her life in danger and told to protect an entire realm filled with like 50 kingdoms. Must watch or read peoples lives no matter how gory in order to give them an ending weather it's sad or happy as long as it's an ending. Is blamed if things go wrong because of an adult. Isn't believed even if she's right. And none of the adults listen to her and always underestimate her.
This child needs a hug, therapy, sleep, and should just go play Dazzle all, Flyer Derby, or Ice dancing, go back to the Buttercup scouts, do her homework, practice magic, and play with her animals.

Inspired by the Disney Princess villain song series by Lydia the Bard, here’s my idea for Princess Sofia’s own dark version of a Sofia the First song and the backstory and animatic script accompanying it. There are mentioned dead bodies and a little blood. I’ve really tried to keep her in-character, despite the very different circumstances and tone. She’s more of an anti-villain here.
I’d love to hear feedback on this and talk to other fans, of Sofia or Lydia.
I’ve written one for Princess Elena too!

According to a deleted storyboard, Cedric would’ve shown up in Holiday in Enchancia with an accidental clothes vanishing spell but I guess someone thought Sofia seeing him in his long John’s was inappropriate.
Doesn’t help she giggles during it and once he leaves.

It's so funny to me like how in the opening of STF they show us the castle from above...
Tumblr media
...and you can clearly see that they didn't showed us the big space in the back because they would add more stuff there in the future, and you can clearly see that it's empty. But in season two, in the Enchanted Feast episode... (I'm watching this episode rn)
Tumblr media
...it's full of stuff there. And they changed the design of the isle, because that little tower in the left, with a blue roof, it's on the edge of the isle, and when you look into the first opening/once upon a princess movie, there's like a whole path around it (first image).
I just analyzed two images because I remembered it. There must be more variations of the castle out there, if you find them reblog the post and add them so we can create a chain of versions of the castle, it's gonna be fun
(And when they are in the ballroom it is possible to see Cedric's tower through the window, but looking from outside, his tower is very, very far from the ballroom, there is barely any space between the sorcerer's tower and another tower, it's just- almost facing a wall)
Edit: the whole design of the front garden changed oh my god

So I've noticed you've found some very clever and downright brilliant ways to weave Sofia the First and its lore into your Disneyverse, which makes me wonder if you have any headcanons about what Sofia and the other child characters from the show might be like as teens and adult.
Thanks!! I'm glad you're enjoying them :) I'll admit I don't currently have any real story ideas for them apart from Sofia continuing her roles as the Storykeeper and as a Protector. But here's some designs for the Enchancia siblings as adults!
Tumblr media
And adult Storykeeper Sofia
Tumblr media
Actually, though I don't have any headcanons about Sofia's future I have had one about Enchancia's past for a while now. Basically I've decided in my DisneyVerse it was the home of the girl from the "Girl Without Hands" fairytale, who found sanctuary in the magic tree that would become the Secret Library, and her son, inspired by all she had to overcome, dedicates his life to ensuring as many happy endings as he can for others and becomes the first Storykeeper.
Tumblr media
For those who don't know, The Girl Without Hands is a fairytale where a man sort of accidentally trades his daughter to the devil (in this it would be the demon Voland, a main background villain in my DisneyVerse). But since she's pure the devil can't take her, but through a series of unfortunate events due to him she ends up losing her hands :s (they'd probably be magiced off or something in this, but then again Disney has gone dark before, but either way no gruesomeness would be shown on screen).
The girl wanders for a while but comes under the care of an angel who helps her (a Windwalker in this version since they're the Everrealm version pretty much) and eventually causes her to meet a kind young king who falls love with her and makes hers her a pair of silver artificial hands.
Tumblr media
They're happy for a few years until the King is called away to war and the Queen has her first child. At which point the devil comes back and makes trouble again thar causes them to be separated for several years, the queen forced to flee with her child far from the kingdom to save their lives. They end up under the care of the angel again, (lead by the Windwalker to the magical tree) and yeats later are reunited with the King who never stopped hoping they were still alive. And they live happily ever after.
(Added things in my version--the girl, named Manon, has her hair turn white after escaping Voland due to the trauma she's endured, and years later her son Sorrow (his actualname in the fairytale) ends up trapping Voland in a magical mirror, which is in fact the Magic Mirror that ends up in the Evil Queen's hands centuries later)

SPOILERS
Season 4 episode 17 or season 4 episode 19 on Disney Plus "The Birthday Wish"
Sofia's 11th birthday party was ruined by multiple things so Tizzy, Ruby's fairy godmother cast a spell that would let her redo the day but she hadn't read the spell fully and it had said until "the person who this spell was cast on is truly happy for the day, it will repeat endlessly"
Sofia relived her birthday over and over until she was free from the spell and becoming really happy for the day.
The amount of angst potential this could have in any fanfic where Sofia just questions her age wondering if all those birthday's would count because she had tried again and again to make sure everything went perfectly thinking that a perfect birthday party would make her happy not knowing it was something else. Her being trapped in an endless timeloop of having relived the same day for years and questioning if that technically counts as her aging.
Dear lord the Angst potential. She just wanted to celebrate her birthday and she got a curse instead that wasn't even from the amulet but because SOMEONE didn't want to do their job properly and read the entire spell.

I'm terribly sorry, but I HAVE to know more about the convergence of spheres and the "don't put Cedric on the isle, fleebag" story. Ur an amazing writer and very complex w with your storytelling! Yoh absolute genius!
I'm so sorry I didn't answer this sooner! I feel terrible... So, the "Convergence of the Spheres" concept comes from The Witcher series by Andrzej Sapkowski. I'm suuure you've heard of it, lol. I think the whole "Mandela Effect" thing is based on the same concept too. Basically, the idea is that multiple worlds/dimensions get merged together into one. My theory is that a similar thing happened in Descendants when the United States of Auradon is formed. All of the Disney Kingdoms are transported through space-time to merge into this new world.
Throughout Sofia the First, we see that Sofia is able to contact other Princesses across space-time using the Amulet of Avalor. She gets visited by Aurora (Prince Phillip reveals in Sleeping Beauty that they're in the 14th century) along with Tiana (20th century). Sofia even travels back in time HERSELF when she is called to help Princess Charlotte of Isleworth, who had the Amulet of Avalor before Sofia got it.
Sofia has a connection to all the Disney Princesses and their realms, and her series shows her to have a lot of magical potential. My idea is that a group of powerful magic beings got together and combined their magic to bring all the Disney Kingdoms together, across space-time, to form the continent of Auradon. Main contenders for this group are Sofia the First, Genie, Fairy Godmother, and Merlin: they're all shown to have knowledge of space-time travel.
I think Beast would have been elected King after the formation of the Auradon supercontinent... All the kingdoms would need to be together to vote. So that begs the question: why did this Magical Council decide to create the Convergence? Was it an accident? An attempt to stop some kind of major threat? I haven't figured that mystery out yet. I lean towards the latter: if Beast somehow acted as a hero during this crisis, it would definitely explain why everyone would be so willing to elect him as the King of Auradon. ------------------------------------------------------------------
Now for the Cedric issue. King Beast goes HARD on all the Villains. And not just the Villains either: other media shows that all the minions get sent to the Isle of the Lost too. Even minions who reformed (notably Iago, who reforms in Aladdin 2: Return of Jafar). Everyone is getting punished for their crimes. You know who that flies in the face of? Sofia. She makes a big point of forgiving Cedric the Sorcerer and allowing him the chance to change. She is NOT going to let him be thrown onto the Isle for crimes of which she already exonerated Cedric (More specifically, her step-dad exonerated Cedric at Sofia's insistence).
Neither King Beast nor Sofia back down, so Sofia leads Enchancia in seceding from Auradon. I imagine several other kingdoms go with them. Maybe Kuzcotopia (Kuzco wouldn't let Kronk, former minion of Yzma, get thrown onto the Isle) and Avalor? This would explain why these kingdoms aren't on the map of the Auradon continent.
Anyway, that's the gist of it. Sorry if this was long-winded. >.<

@keywcilder
Despite the face that Sofia didn’t know of ALL the fashions in the Everrealm, she was fairly certain that the clothing this boy wore didn’t match anything she knew. Minimus even made the remark as she dismounted that the stranger stuck out. Something which earned a laugh and a shake of her head before she was moving to greet this stranger. Even if he was from a kingdom she wasn’t familiar with, she did have to take  a rest anyways if she wanted to get to Avalor.
“Hi, I’m sorry but you’re looking around...Did you need any help?”

⚰️
Roland comes from a long line of "royals," as one could say. He is a bit odd, at least in the sense that humans aren't able to walk on the ceiling naturally. Nevertheless, the kingdom loves Roland for making it possible to continue thriving. And yes, they are quite aware of his quirks.
The kingdom used to be a quaint town back before Sofia was born. Back when towns would let vampires live amongst humans. Nowadays, you'll rarely find such towns. The remains serve as reminders of the brutality of mankind. Many will only know of those towns through the twisted narrative vampire hunters spin in order to justify their slaughter.
How the vampires would manipulate their townspeople to give into their bloodthirsty nature and assimilate more humans for it to feed on. Or how the humans were brainwashed into defending their vampires. Or simply say everyone from the town were vampires who preyed on outsiders. Anything to vilify these communities.
One group fled their home due to fear of being attacked, and yet their retreat wasn't enough for them to be prosecuted.
----------------------------------------------
Enchancia is both above and below ground. Humans go above to work their jobs, especially to grow crops since the sun is indeed, on the surface.
Underground, you'll find many magic beings like trolls and fliegels, oh my. You'll also find the king here most of the time, as he doesn't like to come out during the day.
On the surface, the kingdom of Enchancia is as any kingdom is. Except without looking deeper, it has only one ruler: Queen Miranda.
