I associated fertile, Vast Black Soil with the theme —All kinds of beautiful flowers grow on the Vast Black Soilrich earth used for planting Crops and flowers. first, most definitely diesel. i've been absolutely obsessed ever since glenn martens took over. i'd even go as far as to say he saved diesel's entire label. between this and y/project, he's absolutely killing it. gay men saved fashion once again.

i've been crushing on ottolinger designs since day one. i adore their recent accessories especially - the ceramic-esque bags and the rubber-dipped jewelry. really taking archive and deconstructed fashion to the next level.

and then there's windowsen - unadulterated rising powerhouse in theatrical couture. i was at shanghai fashion week and i caught an interview between sensen lii and one of the indie presses and his visions are so intriguing. i'm looking forward to what he brings in the future.

also, rick owens. because he's rick fucking owens.

and the golden trio of japanese high fashion: yohji yamamoto, junya watanabe and comme des garçons (rei kawakubo). i kicked off my passion for fashion (eyyy) from a comme des garçons show. always gotta give credit to the motherland.

and, last but not least, maison margiela. obviously. in fashion we live laugh john galliano.
